Great Family owned shop. They started across the street in a small garage. Did so well and grew out of the original shop. They are honest and hard working. Will get it fixed right the first time at a fair price. You will make them your family mechanic.

What is theyve always been fair and honest.

Took my car here because it’s close they sat on my car for a week and didn’t call me to tell me what’s wrong with it. When I had enough I called and got told that my bcm was bad because there computer couldn’t read it. Said the same thing to me on another truck I had. Took it down to nicks they read the code fine. And issues solved also when a costumer asks you to order a part how about you do it instead of pissing around. Never will take another vehicle here again.

I highly recommend Dobs Automotive. They have an awesome service and quality technicians that work tirelessly to diagnose and fix whatever the problem is. I had an electrical problem in my Buick Rainier that went on for months. I took the Buick to some of the biggest dealerships in Pittsburgh and after $1000 out of my pocket and no solution to the electrical problem I was referred to the guys at Dobs. They went through every small detail and finally fixed the electrical issue and I have not had 1 thing go wrong with it. They fully explain everything to you and they are very reasonable hard-working guys. Before you go looking too far for service stop and go to DOBS!!

These guys do really good work, theyre highly knowledgeable mechanics. Dobs Auto handles the fleet vehicles (diesel box trucks) for my business, theyre fair and no problem scares them.

I dont like being lied to or even taking advantage of by crooked mechanics. I bought in my own spark plugs and coils to be changed and they clearly didnt do it. They lied and said that they only pulled one of the spark plug and it looked fine so they all didnt need to be changed. The reason I think they lied is because the 98 5.4 trition engine model I have required for the fuel rail to be taken off and they just didnt want to tare it down and do the work witch I have been told by another mechanic that it may have cost them more money to do this type of job but thats not my problem as a customer. The point is that I wanted it done. 4 months later I took my truck to another mechanic to do a exhaust manifold gasket repair and while he was already in the process I asked if he can check out the spark plugs anyways because I still had my parts and I still wanted them changed knowing that Ive bought the vehicle used and been driving it for the past 3 years since I got it. Due to the story I told my other mechanic with the experience I had at Dobbs auto about them just checking only 1 plug he took the time and tore it all down and pulled out the plugs and coils and all 8 coils and plugs were in bad shape and the mechanic said that if they had even pulled any one of these plugs a good honest mechanic would have recommended for them to be changed as soon as possible. Not to mention that when Dobbs auto said that they pulled the plug I asked what brand of plug it was because I wanted to know for myself for personal records and they told me they were Motorcraft plugs but when I took it to my other mechanic and he took them out he showed me that they were Autolite smh. Just say you dont want to do the work instead of lying saying that they dont need changed acting like they pulled out 1 plug to check. Someone else who probably have no knowledge about automobiles would have believed them and drove them plugs another 1500 miles or higher doing more damage and getting less gas mileage. Im sure new plugs dont go bad in 4 months. They were in really bad condition to prove and the coils were the original coils from factory. 180,000 miles on this engine. I gave them a chance and more than once because I went to them for other services that were determined that they didnt do the work and they got paid for it. I like to take care of my vehicles because I need them and I do not neglect my vehicles either. But to find mechanics that do neglect and still get paid is a huge problem in this industry that been going on for years and some way it has to come to a end. Do we have to become a member of auto repair shops to get good honest services or something? I will no longer be dealing with Dobbs automotive in the future. They have lost a potential customer. Unless you know them personally I guess they stereotype and judge who they want to give good service to but it sure wasnt me I wasnt worth it.

I would highly and I mean highly recommend Dobs. After a long battle dealing with our foreign vehicle, they got the job done within reasonable pricing aswell. They are trustworthy mechanics that will not rip you off.

Horrible, Horrifying experience unfortunately. Only shop that I actually taken my car into and gotten it back worse! Too Young, unmotivated. Walked in shop they were all sitting around looking unhappy to even be there. Wouldnt take for major repair . Wouldnt say scam artist ... but ive heard the dumbest explanation from these people about why car still leaks ... and also after checking my oil dipstick prefusely daily . All of a sudden upon second return of cars ( returned car bc they did not fix leak). My oil looked like chocolate milk. Mind you I never had any coolant in oil ever, and never let car over heat long enough to just blow the head gasket. there was no coolant in engine when I initially taken car to there shop, neither the first time or the time I returned it bc they didnt fix the leak . So they said they couldnt fix it now bc it was a blown head gasket and thats why its still leaking out bottom of car. And they dont do head gaskets .. oh thats surprising! PLEASE DONT GO IF YOU LOVE YOUR CAR! Choose mechanics wisely, if they seem unmotivated, careless, not attentive or just look like they dont wanna be there ... just leave shop dont lose your car and money
