Needed a transmission job done on my 2001 Blazer that involved removing one from another and replacing it in my vehicle. The mans name was Jim.. excellent staff and service and have not had a problem since.. very reasonable in price

Called talk to Jim on the problem with my 2009 SUV. Jim told me what could be wrong with it but had to look at it. So had it towed in. Jim look it over. Called me told me the problem and the cost to fix it. Very reasonable price. No add on costs what Jim told me is what I paid. I suggest if you have a problem dont go to the dealership like I did at first and was told nothing was wrong with it. Very professional and you pay what your told it would cost. I highly recommend talking to Jim first.

Their website says free towing with major work. I offered to pay for towing and get a vehicle inspected, to perform any found work. They said there was no tow truck, and they dont have time to inspect it for two weeks. Ill take my money elsewhere, if they are willing to lie about this I wouldnt trust them to work on my vehicle.

Very good people work here, had a clutch I needed put in. Didnt have too many options nor the free time, they did it up for me within two days. I rely on my vehicle for everything . And they did me a tremendous favor by helping me out and fixing it up. And then again when I needed a seal replaced a few weeks later that was unrelated to the original repair. Next day had it shipped in and replaced. I was back on the road with swiftness. 11/10 would recommend a friend to them.

I work for a busy used car dealership that has 2 locations, Used Car World, and we send a lot of repair work out to shops around the area. This is the shop we use for our transmission work and also some of our other work because the owner, Jay is fair and honest, and we get excellent quality work at a great price. Jay has saved us from unnecessary expensive repairs on numerous occasions. For example, one time we had a Ford Explorer that we were told needed a transmission and Jay accurately diagnosed it as needing a catalytic converter. I would recommend him to anyone.

My car wouldnt shift when I tried to go to work friday morning. I called they said they had time to look at it, to just have it towed over, so I did. They obviously didnt have time to look at it because they didnt look at it until an hour before closing the next day and they wouldnt be able to work on it till monday. Turned out I needed a speed sensor replaced in the transmission. That cost 600 bucks, I know everything with the transmission is expensive, but 600 just to replace a sensor seemed steep. I told them to go ahead with the work anyway. I paid for the service picked up my car tuesday morning. I started the car and went to work. When I got off of work I go out to my car and my key is missing from the key fob. The metal part completely snapped off and I have no idea where it is. Luckily I have a spare key, but I called the shop to let them know what happened and they basically said theres nothing they can do and its just a coincidence because they didnt mishandle the key in anyway. But I have never heard of a key just snapping out of nowhere, definitely never had it happen to me before, they obviously did something to my key. Wont go here for any work again.

Its a transmission shop so Im not factoring in price into my review (the prices are about average for the type of work to be done). The service...its because of the people I recommend this place to anyone. I have taken several vehicles to Cottmans over the last 20 years, and they have always been completely up front and honest with the situation. None of this well sorry sir you need a new unicorn valve and you have a leprechaun in the clutch b.s. They tell you what is in fact wrong, what the prices and options are, and what to expect with your choice. I have had issues as simple as a loose connection and instead of giving me a hard time and a crazy bill, it was tightened back up, pointed out to me and out the door I went with a handshake and a business card.

First I want to say thank you Jay for taking care of both of my cars you and your team are the most honest and professional people Ive meet in a long time I will be taking my cars and telling everyone I know to use your shop again Jay thank you for the great service you did on my cars

Had transmission die on my trailblazer called cottman and got an up front price from friendly staff members also car was not drivable so got a FREE tow to the shop tow truck came 2:30pm on Monday and got a call Wednesday at 4:00pm rebuilt transmission installed and ready for pickup got there and bill was exactly the price I was quoted thanks so much Jim n Jay for everything recommend for all transmission needs. Also price was $500 less than other shops I called around town.

These guys are awesome! Super honest and always get it right! I would recommend them to anyone. I have been to them many times, but most recently I had a speed sensor go bad in a Santa Fe and they fixed it for almost nothing. Thanks!!!!!! You guys are the best!!!!!! :) :)
