We had a business in Wheaton and used their services for our dumpster. Very unprofessional, raised our rates over 70%, and locked us into a 5 year contract (read the fine print before you sign) with our rates completely out of this world compared to other companies. I would not recommend using Groot for your business.

Groot recently became our citys garbage removal service. In the past I had put out two cans for yard waste, one big and one small. Ive been composting most of my grass this year so I only put out the small can and they wouldnt take it. One small can of grass clippings was too heavy. By this standard no one would ever be able to mow their lawn since this is less than half the clippings from my average sized lot. When I called Roslyn was extremely rude and attempted to hang up on me. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was placed on hold for 10 minutes of dead silence. Then at 5:01 Roslyn came back on to notify me that all supervisors left at 5:00. A quick review of the company online shows that this is their M.O. Im very disappointed in my village for contracting a company known for these problems when they old company tab flawlessly.

Would give less stars if possible. Just opened up a late bill from groot. Threatening my service will be terminated and I owe late fees. Weird I have never used their service. Should I send a bill from my company to groot? If you wanna play this game I bill out a lot more per service hour. Use a honest company like flood bros or sbc.

They didnt picked up my yard trash because Brush tied in 43 instead of 4 .Really!!! It could happen because of small thin brunches. Now I have to put it all back in my garage.For 3 !!!

This location is amazing. everybody is super friendly and helpful.they take pretty much everything, mattresses, appliances, couches, electronics.fyi you need a hard hat and high visibility vest and they dont have any to give out because covid

Ive been waiting a month now for them to deliver a bin. Just moved into the area and setup an account. Everytime I call and ask about a bin I get a Im sorry, I dont know what happened or the bin truck is running behind they will deliver in the next day. Four Fridays have come and gone and I still dont have a bin. Worst, most unprofessional waste company I have ever had. My biggest hope is that my town goes to Waste Management or DC.

Worse thing to have is Groots is providing service in your area. rude drives and poor service. They don`t pick up anything outside the garbage can. not even a small item. I lived 8years where flood brothers providing service and never had any issue.

We had been with the same large waste company for several years prior to that. They kept raising our prices and added fees and surplus charges. We are a manufacturing company that has 3 buildings so we have a lot of waste / recycling. After reaching out to competitors to seek new quotes we switch to Groot in September of 2019.Weve had a couple of minor scheduling changes, but our representative with Groot, Debra Sobol, has been a pleasure to work with. She has went out of her way to make sure were taken care of. She calls and checks in with me just to make sure everything is going well.Groot was very open to restructuring our Customer Service Agreement with some standard language changes without any hesitation. We have an agreement in place that covers both parties for our individual needs.If youve never signed a contract for these types of services, please ask your Groot representative to go over it with you. That way youre not caught up in a never ending contract that youre not happy with. Know what youre signing.As for my experience with Groot it has been a top notch experience!Regards,Joanna Z.

They would miss my pickups all the time. I would call then they would come back. What a waste of time. If there is a local provider in your area I would go with them.I cancelled my account over the phone and was told I would get a refund if one was owed to me. Then they charged me for another 3 months because I didn’t cancel online. That would have been useful information to give over the phone e first time.

He is prompt professional and gets us our construction rolloffs in record time Jason understands customers needs and is available all the time to help with our service request. I own a business in Naperville, the guy that does the route out here goes above and beyond to do his job. Cant ever thank him enough. He has our gate code and takes care of business when I forget to leave it open. Top notch employee!!

Two weeks in a row only half my trash was picked up. We just moved here, so we had alot. Found out by calling that anything outside the can needs stickers. That would have been good info when I set up the service! Or have the driver leave a note? Now I have to put it all back in my garage. Next quarter Ill just pay half my bill and you can call me for the rest!😑not happy...

Have dealt with Groot for years.A few things to know about them is, before you sign up.There customer service, phone wait times long and bounce around.Theyve transferred ownership to a larger company that has been buying the areas competition up, with consistent price hiking.So at this point Ive decided to stop calling when the dumpster pickup is randomly missed, or the bill shoots up 30% (note] they bill every 30 days not month to get that extra little bit of money) and cancel our service. Ive been greeted with the news Ive been auto enrolled in a renewal of a 3 year contract last month for another 3 years and will need to pay 6 months of normal service to leave. When signing in 2016 would have never expected Groot to turn in a cold corporate, money hungry company, interested in holding onto customers with contracts and threats rather then good service.Beware.
