Ron was incredibly knowledgeable and quick to respond to our call. Our oven was not heating quickly or completely. Rather than an incredibly expensive replacement of a board, Ron took a sensible approach to the fix that was only a few dollars. He also followed up to see how the repair had turned out. We’ll definitely call Ron again.

When our refrigerator simply stopped cooling, I searched around for an appliance repair service. Ron was the first to return my call. Rather than simply schedule a visit, he asked me a series of questions about what was wrong. He advised me that because of the distance he would have to travel, there would be a minimum charge. He told me things to check, before coming out. We talked a few times, and he kindly followed up. As a result, I was able to repair the problem myself! Okay, I’m handy, and good with tools, but Ron’s guidance and reassurance truly helped me. He came to my house and charged me $95 for basically his opinion. Do yourself an favor and pick someone who will at least run a few tests instead of making assumptions.I ran the test mode myself and figured out that the start relay was bad and called LG to make sure I get the exact part necessary and they set me up with a repairman and covered parts and labor.

I called Ron at 8:05 am on a Monday and my fridge was working by noon. He guessed the problem by my brief description and model and brought the parts with him. He saved me from having to replace the compressor or whole unit by installing an after-market part that was less expensive and more reliable. Gave Ron a call expecting that I would need to pay someone to come and take a look at our malfunctioning refrigerator. After answering a few questions about what was going on, Ron gave me his Buy me a cup of coffee advice. He told me if it worked, I could buy him a cup of coffee, if it didnt, I could call him back. It worked!!! His coffee gift card is in the mail...we are very grateful for his expertise and assistance.

Ron came out the day after I called. He took piece out of stove and put new one in. Turned out that wasnt the issue. He took his replacement piece out then asked if I wanted him to put it back together. I said yes. Then he charged $25 for putting the stove that he took apart back together! $25 on top of the $75 charge to come out and look at it. I then went to work and he left a tool in my house. He called 6 times and sent 3 text messages about it. Also, unprofessional looking and smelling.

Called to see if he had a part in stock. He didnt, and still took almost 10 minutes to talk me through the issue I was having, and gave me suggestions and advice to fix it. Typical West Bend business: Friendly, caring, community-type people. Highly recommended!

We were having issues with our washing machine not properly draining, so I contacted Ron. He asked for some info on the washing machine, and he said that it was likely an obstruction and gave some tips for fixing it on our own. It worked! We will definitely reach out to Ron for future work.
