Love love love Maxy Nails! Been going here with my mom and sister for the last 15 years. I moved to LA a few years ago and not a nail salon in LA compares to the high quality of work at Maxy Nails. Nails always look fab, last forever, and the massages are top notch. Super friendly, warm staff that make you feel at home. Highly recommend.

IF YOU CAN GO TO ANOTHER SALON PLEASE DO SO, I went in thinking I was going to have an amazing experience since the salon looks so nice and clean, they sat me down to get my gel pedi, she removed my previous pedi but didn’t do much just cut and file nothing else and painted my toes THE WRONG COLOR, when I brought it up, she just said omg (not even a sorry) and told me to choose another color for my dip powder manicure, I said it was okay and did with the color I had originally chosen for my dip since they didn’t have one that matched the one she put on my toes, I been to many salons since I’m new to the area and ALL of them put some kind of “protective polish” before they start doing your dip, she didn’t. Plus my nails are uneven and she didn’t cut any cuticles……. So basically all she did was apply dip powder to my nails ALL TOGETHER WAS $98.00 I’ve never paid that amount, not even when I get the expensive pedicures at other salons, then I tipped her $5, that’s all I had in cash (plus I don’t think she deserved more than that) and she told me next time you better tip me at least 20% NEVER GOING BACK, oh and my fingers HURT!

I used this place for many years but noticed they have gone down hill for quite a while first they definitely do make you feel rushed especially during pedicures always more concerned with up charging you then taking time and care on your feet second the nail polish no matter gel or regular always chips its as if they use older polish third inconsistent sometimes shoulder massage most times not I get the overall feeling they all don’t enjoy what they are doing and it’s 100% about the money only and their prices are sneaky high almost like we the customers are being made fun of go ELSEWHERE once these places realize they are losing customers perhaps the spa experience and good customer service will return

Ive gone to this place a few times and Ive always had to wait 45 min to an hour. Since I only have a short time, since I have 2 babies at home, I called them to see if they could see me and if there was a wait and they said no come in. I did come in and I still waited an hour. The woman who helped me was baffled as to why that was an issue. I could understand if I just walked in but I called prior. Never going back again.

I used to love Maxy Nails for the jelly pedicures but this week, I had such a horrible experience, I will no longer go back. I asked for a jelly pedicure and manicure. During my pedicure, another customer walked in and my technician spoke to her and let her know to take a seat and shell be with her soon. Because of that, they gave me someone else for my nails which I dont love but didnt have a choice. When I sat down to get my nails done, I noticed a sign that said no tip on card, must be in cash. From here, I panicked a bit because I only had 9$ and I would have given it ALL to the one technician if they didnt split me up. At the end of my appointment, I gave the woman who did my pedicure the 5 dollar bill as she did a wonderful job, massage, the whole 9 and the rest of my money to my nail tech (4$). Now I normally tip much higher than this but it was technically 15%. It was all I had. When I gave it to her, she TOOK IT FROM ME AND COUNTED IT OUT AT THE TABLE IN FRONT OF ME. she pointed 1-2-3-4? I thought maybe she wasnt sure what it was so I explained, thats for you. Is somethjng wrong? She said NO, 5. I said Im sorry its all I have in cash. It says you dont take tip on card right? To which she responded mhm and degraded me for the tip I gave her in front of all the customers. She then just starred at me and I began to feel so uncomfortable. I just put my head down and continued to grab my belongings. Then before I got up from her station, she goes PEDICURE? And started calling the technician over. Im told her “ I know ...I have a tip for her too, thank you?” It was almost like she thought I wasnt going to tip her or that she was annoyed she was getting a tip? She rushed to follow me (I mean I tried to get out of there fast and she was still on me) over to her and watched me give her the $5. The pedicure technician just said thank you while the nail technician continued to grill me. I turned around and just said “I’m sorry but this is VERY RUDE OF YOU” and walked out completely embarrassed. I never had anyone count their tip in front of me, let alone tell me (and others around me) that Im wrong and that she needs more money. I called the manager 10 mins later because I couldnt shake the feeling and the manager said what do you want me to do? And hung up after I told her how embarrassed and uncomfortable I am now coming there. Ill talk to her, bye!Once I got home, I hand sanitized and it burned so bad. I then realized I had 5 fingers all cut up at the cuticle.So disappointed in the experience.

All the ladies are very nice and its clean, they know your name when you come in.

Very happy with this nail salon. Very clean and safe with all the COVID stuff going on, they take your temperature right as you walk in! Great pedicure. I’ll be returning!!!

They pass the test with coloring but their manis pedis fall below my expectations. I came home with a nice polish but my cuticles were not taken care of.

Maxy Nails is absolutely clean, and they are taking CDC guidelines seriously. All sterilized tools are sealed, and service is great!

The lady/ladies that help me were very pleasant and very sweet but the quality and price was ridiculous. My normal place charges $50 for full set of acrylics. Since they had no availability I decided to try a different place not even thinking it would be a major difference in price if any. While doing my nails the lady said my nails would be $70!!!! No additional design or anything. I was so shocked that it was $20 more!!!! I wouldn’t mind but my nails normally last a weeks. After only one week they are chipping and peeling for a more expensive price. Then the nail tech said she would only charge me $50 for a fill in, in two week. I pay $35 every 4 weeks cause that’s how long my nails last at my other nail place. I normally go to Best Nails In North Babylon and they are much better!!! I will never be returning to get my nails done here. It’s a rip off. Not to mention since I got acrylics there is a major dent in one. I wouldn’t mind again except the price for a bad job.

Decent salon. Lots of staff turnover so hard to find a good manicurist that remembers what you like. But they are very quick and I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes due to always plenty of staff on hand. Also the prices are pretty good especially summer specials.

First time customer. I was greeted very quickly. Everyone was so friendly. The pedicure that I had was called Jelly. Omg. The best pedicure that I have had in many years. I will definitely go back for other services. You cant always find a really good nail salon but so far, this was awesome!!

They were very friendly and saw me right away. They did a good job. They were quick. I was out in and out in about a half hour. Got a manicure and eyebrows and chin and lip for $30 bucks. Tipped 10 bucks. Lady did a nice job. No complaints. Will return.

Have been here about three times now, atmosphere is pleasant but truly OVER PRIZED for what they do. Also there’s this one worker named Suzzy & she rushes through the job vs making you feel comfortable or relaxed as intended for women who go trying to feel relaxed. She also indirectly asks for a tip and says what she is doing in order to justify a good tip she would even go as far as looking into your purse while you’re checking to see what you have. Will never be going back here. Customer service besides her is decent but prices should be more economical for the type of work they do.

I’m only giving it one star because no stars wasn’t an option! Went to get my nails done with my daughter and the prices weren’t listed any where! A lot of confusion on how much services cost and the icing on the cake was that they wanted to change my daughter an extra $5 to remove her polish! What? I never heard of that! Prices were way to high and I really felt like they were taking advantage of me! Sad, unprofessional and and a rip off! If you must go there get prices before you sit down!

Horrible service. Had a rush pedicure- ten minutes top. She rushed through and did a really bad job. Spoke to the owner and she insisted that no, she was not in a rush. I insisted that she was in a rush as my moms same pedicure took double the time and she just shook her head at me and refused to listen. Will not be back to this place. They do not deserve any business, especially since the owner refuses to acknowledge her customers concerns. Stay away from this horrifying salon!!!

Ive always been really happy about the service Ive gotten here. Theyre friendly, efficient and do a great job. Couldnt ask for a better nail salon!

Love this place.... its like family when I go. Suzy does my nails to perfection! Try a 20 min chair massage as well... they are to die for

I usually come here but this most very recent time, i brought my mother. The girl who did her nails, Suzy, did an awful job. She globbed the polish on and it was bubbling while under the dryer. My mother had to have Laura redo them. I would recommend Annie or Laura to anyone but avoid Suzy. She rushes through the job, is too rough and cant shape nails well at all.

There is only 2 places that I will go to get a pedicure, Maxy and Sherrys nails. Both give the best spa like pedicure.

One of the worst nail salons i have ever been to. the service is horrible! it took a 2 hour wait for them to start my pedicure and they werent even crowded! i had to leave before they started so who knows when they would have gotten to me. i was seated at the farest station so everyone who came in after went first! its like that every time! The acrylic tips are so bad as well! ive gotten them done here 4 times because i kept deciding to give it another chance and they always break and come off within the first couple of weeks. i thought it was just me at first but then i went to a different place to get them done and they lasted months! and all of my friends say the same. i also feel that they are very expensive. everyone i know feels the same and prefers other nearby salons instead.

Been going here for years now. My past visit was terrible. This women Suzy rushes through a regular pedicure and she did my eyebrows and lip. My bill came to $40.00. Stay away from callous remover they now charge $10.00 on a ONE minute job. Gave her a 17and a half percent tip and SUZY had the nerve to say NOT ENOUGH!!!!! I TOLD HER TUFF!!!!!

Im posting on behalf of my friend and I. I have gone to this place a few times and always felt they were a bit pricy and at times felt their prices changed but didnt want to make a big deal out of it. The place itself is really pretty and I get the feeling they treat their regulars better then someone they dont recognize. I had a gel manicure removed which cost me $13. No other place Ive been to charges that much. My friend had a pedicure that took no more then 15 minutes. She basically dipped her feet in the water and that was her relaxing girl time. The nail tech who did her nails did not shape them evenly and did not use enough coats making the polish seem translucent. Whats more upsetting is I dont know if they even know about their google reviews. Ive seen people write reviews about other establishments and normally the owner or whoever manages their google reviews will chime in acknowledging the review and offering a different experience. Really disappointing because the place is beautiful but Im never in the mood to pay $13 to have gel removed nor am I ever in the mood to be given different prices for the same service. Hoping they review their reviews and do something about it.

Im posting on behalf of a friend who told me the story of her experience:Basically they wanted to charge me an extra $10 on top of $25 for a gel manicure because I needed a little glue on the corners of 2 of my nails, I said no way and she told me dont worry about it.. Then after gluing them (literally a dab of nail glue) and filing ONE hand, she again said its $10 extra, and I said are you serious? No way. Plus she was trying to talk me into getting a $75 full set that I said I couldnt afford, and she went on a rant about how shes the cheapest place in town, and I said actually thats the most expensive, and I just want the gel manicure that I asked for.. She kept going and going about how theyre $150 in Manhattan and I said wow thats crazy Im not a celebrity I cant afford $150. Thats insane. Finally, she wouldnt stop about how her prices were amazing, and still was talking about the extra $10 that I said Im not paying, Ill go somewhere else then. So I Walked out, and this lady who is a CUSTOMER, followed me outside flipping out threatening me that shes going to find me and put me on news 12 and call the cops on me, calling me scum and taking pictures of me. Oh and she kept saying shes going to post my pics all over social media so everyone knows Im scum of the town 😂
