Hello,This company is excellent! I have tried several and this has been the best by far. They clean thoroughly and, given that I am an extremely mess the fact that they can get so much accomplished in 2 hours is nothing short of a miracle. I would recommend them to anyone! In fact I am contacting them today.I’m sorry if some of the posters on here have had negative experiences with this company. I have noticed some these seem to be employee/employer based rather than a review of the service which is cleaning. I think it is important for employees to be able to express grievances, and I, as a customer take the treatment of employees very seriously. That said, there ARE websites dedicated to employee experiences and I think these cases would be much stronger if posted on those websites. Posting grievances here might come off as vindictive and might lessen their credibility.Just a thought.

2. Mistreatment of Employees: In my opinion, the boss is very impolite. I witnessed him talking down to a former employee who had a mental illness. If I am not incorrect, there’s a law named ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) that protects people from getting discriminated at work. This employee put her 2-week notice because she felt harassed and felt forced to leave due to how Paul would talk down to her. In response to her 2-week notice, Paul told her not to come back. I know this information only because Paul’s wife, Maria, told the employees what happened.3. Embezzlement: The Maids is a company that requires to put a 2-week notice and if an employee quits without notice, your pay gets lowered to minimum wage, therefore, $7.25. I had to quit at last minute because I moved far away and getting to the job on time became a major issue for me. I knew the consequences and was okay with my decision. When working at the maids, you start at 8:00 or 8:15, depending at what time the employee decides to arrive at work, and usually finish by 5:00 P.M and at most 6:00 P.M. The employees usually worked 40+ hours PER WEEK. The pay is biweekly. Therefore, the employees should be getting paid for 80+ hours. In my case, I was a driver and team member. Team members start at $10.00 the hour and if you’re a driver you get paid $11.00 the hour. Paul didn’t want to give me my raise even though he told me he was, so my pay remained at $10.00 per hour the whole time I worked there. When I had quit the job in the beginning of September 2020, I accidentally took home with me the shoe booties and apron we were given. Paul could have easily asked me to bring them back, but instead he decided to deduct it from my paycheck. With the hours I worked which was either 80 hours or more, I was expecting to receive back roughly $350-$400 dollars AND thats deducting the apron and shoe booties as well. This did not happen. When I received my check, Paul cut my hours to 5 hours and paid me $36.00 but with the state taking out taxes I got back $34.00. I am not the only former employee who this has happened to.

1. Unprofessionalism: This job is unprofessional. They try to portray themselves as a company who cleans spotless, high quality, and high speed; however, this is untrue. As a former employee, I know for a FACT not all the team members clean 100% with great quality as they say they do. Yes, the team members that get sent out to the home clean with extreme high speed, but many times there’s a lot of furniture or areas that do not get touched as promised to the client. When I worked at The Maids, I was a driver. The cars that we drove belong to the company, we did not use our personal vehicles. As a driver there, I expected the boss to check all vehicles often to make sure they were in good condition. However, this is not the case. There was a time I drove one of the cars and the car started to shake non-stop while I was on the highway. This is a major safety hazard. Anything could’ve happened to the other employee’s or I who were in the car. Another time, the left signal light of the car stopped working. I informed Paul that Friday that the left signal light needed to be fixed immediately because we drove on the highway very often. When I came back to work that Monday, Paul did not fix the car and had us still go on the highway with the left signal light not working. That day we were assigned 3 houses to clean. After we finished cleaning the first house, Paul called the Leader of our team to demand us to take the car to the mechanic. This was EXTREMELY unprofessional of him because that’s not our job and that is not what we were being paid to do for our position. Our job was strictly to go to the houses we were assigned and clean them. Additionally, we were unaware where the location of the mechanics was located at. Paul gave us a vague answer. We took a whole hour finding the place and were still unable to and because we didn’t find the mechanics and took extremely long, Paul yelled at us and made it seem like it was our fault. The leader started apologizing to him even though there was no reason to as it was not our fault. It was not our fault.

Im still asking myself what I paid $200 for. I asked for a move-in cleaning after some re-construction work and all I got was a light spray and wipe. I asked to have all cabinets wiped out, extra attention to dust covered surfaces and ended up having to clean it myself after moving in. I have photos to prove. Very unhappy and dont recommend The Maids.

I was speechless when I came home. That by far exceeded any expectations I may have had. I’m thinking vacuuming dusting and bathrooms type thing. I’m embarrassed by how bad it had gotten but am just beyond thankful for what you and your amazing crew did today.

Would not recommend this service. I utilized The Maids when I moved into my new home. The previous owners cleaned up very well, but I heard good things about The Maids and wanted a deep clean prior to moving my stuff in. Unfortunately, I did not get the service I was intending to receive. It was difficult to communicate with the staff, and they arrived with incorrect room layout even though I had talked to the owner a couple times to confirm details. The Maids were only in my house for 2 hours but missed many details (wiping out drawers that still had crumbs in them, sink left with stains, dusty tops of the ceiling fans, etc.). Since the house was already fairly clean, Im unsure what exactly they did during that time frame. It took us an additional hour or so to clean up what was leftover. Afterwards I asked for a discount due to the inconvenience and not completing the work that I was promised. I received a very small discount and a very rude owner on the phone explaining that he doesnt feel any more compensation is deserved. I would not recommend this company and will not be using their services in the future. I hope this post finds people prior to committing to their services to this company.
