Had to fill out four maintenance request for this. The AC will only blow cool air for about 5 minutes and then will blow room temp air.It is kept at 70 degrees, not on eco mode, and on cool mode but we get awful results. Doesnt even cool off any portion of the apartment. Either on hot or somewhat cool days, it does not work.Getting beyond annoying to deal with. Have to take my dog elsewhere during the day while Im at work due to how hot it gets in the apartment.Would have put in a request sooner but I have 0 faith itll get resolved. Since moving in to the apartment in June, have not had a functioning AC this entire time.
Stayed there for around 1.5 years. This was the very first place I called home in US.Ours was a 2bed 2 bath corner apartment with a decent balcony facing the east. Apt 212 in building 2414. The amount of natural light it received was enough to keep the bulbs off till it got completely dark outside. We had two walk in closets and one coat closet within the apartment and a separate storage room in the basement. Our building had 3 washers and driers and it was never a problem finding one or two when needed. The only issue is AC being only in the living room which makes it a bit of a hassle in extreme summers. But it’s manageable. In management Karen and Debbie have always been very supportive be it anything. We never had any issues w.r.t maintenance. Any request made was taken care of within hours. Craig and Mark always made it a point to listen to our concerns and fix the issue as soon as possible.Parking is ample. Never ever struggled for it.Lawns are lush green and clean. Pet owners take care of cleanliness while taking their pets for a stroll. They have got 6 tennis courts that are very well maintained along with two heated swimming pools.Snow is dealt with extreme professionalism.Meadows holds events quite often that encourages interaction between residents. The food is great too!Our move out process was a cake walk unlike other places. All in all our stay there was peaceful and happy!Thank you Meadows! I
I have lived at The Meadows for two years and I have no complaints about this place. You cant get better than this at reasonable price. Although some of the apartments old and not renovated but they are well maintained. The amenities are really good and tennis courts and swimming pools neatly maintained.Thomson Management here is super. The office is very friendly and understanding. They will answer your call promptly. Even during covid times, they did fantastic job. The maintenance requests where completed on time and the maintenance staff was super helpful. If I ever come back to Waukesha and Thomson is the management, I would definitely pick meadows over others.
Overall, I would not recommend living here. (Even if you have a dog - there are plenty of other pet-friendly properties) The Meadows is not taking the proper precautions to ensure resident safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, has poor communication, and does not provide residents with a positive experience. For example, countless emails are sent to limit how many bikes are on bike racks, they monitor what is kept on balconies, and are constantly threatening to tow cars in resident parking spaces that are registers with the company amongst other things. These are just minor examples, but they highlight just a few complaints.
I love living here! The staff is so kind and make maintenance repairs quickly! It’s quiet here and the neighbors I have met are very kind. There are fun events (pre-Covid) and the pools are a great amenity!
Great staff, never had any issues with them. They respond to work orders immediately. Super quiet neighbors too. Love the pool and all the amenities. My roommate and I have lived here for almost a year and we renewed for 2020. Highly recommend! Love the area as well.
Wish I could give them no stars but google doesnt offer 0 stars. Just udderly disappointed with the property manager Jean. I was willing to give this apartment association my business in hopes of a good head start before getting a house. Absolutely no empathy and no assistance from her at all, wasnt willing to explore additional options, and was just straight up rude and inconsiderate. Im glad I found out the property managers character before renting otherwise I wouldve regretted the decision. The only positive thing that came out of this experience was not letting them waste our time any further.
Good location, great amenities, quick maintenance, clean, safe, and quiet. The only downside is the in-unit A/C units do not cool down the apartment, but having a few fans blowing right on you in the summer months makes it comfortable.
On one of the coldest days on record, my heat stopped working. I had someone come by a few days prior, when it first became an issue. He covered up my air conditioning unit and locked my bedroom window. I couldnt feel any heat coming from my vents. It was an AWFUL week because I could barely stay in my own apartment! Needless to say, this place is extremely outdated, and you pay too much for what it is.Also, plan on spending at least $20 on mouse traps.
I lived in the Meadows during my time as a graduate student. The amenities, such as the gym and pool, were a great plus. The apartment itself was sufficient for a graduate student. My most unpleasant experience was with the property manager, Jean Lyons. She is a rude and condescending individual that I hope to never cross paths with again. When preparing to move out, I became trapped in the basement storage unit room due to damage to the door frame. I was stuck for two hours. The only way for me to eventually get out was to unlock the door from the outside through a hole that was punched in the wall at some point prior (due to a homeless person attempting to rob the storage units and cutting the locks). This break in likely caused the door frame to be damaged, thus trapping me. I called the front desk to immediately report what had happened so others could avoid this disaster. I immediately received an aggressive call back from Jean stating she believed I damaged the wall. No sympathy, no apology, just rude accusations. If this heartless woman would have initially secured the outdoor doors on building after homeless individuals started living in the hallways, my situation would not have occurred. Multiple days later, Jean realized many of the buildings on site had similar holes due to multiple break ins. Even following Jean realizing this, no apology was received. I couldn’t have been happier to move out. It would be wise of property management team to dismiss Jean due to horrendous customer service.
A good, decent society. Water is included in the rent. Decent swimming pools. Good Tennis courts. I dont like the gym - equipments are not so great - small gym. Good snooker/pool table. Good, clean, maintained apartments. Leasing office people are good.
Locations great. If you like walking, theres a movie theater and Target close by. The Target has groceries. The theater is Majestic. Literally. Rent is reasonable for the size of the apartment. Very spacious. Ive had two maintenance issues which were always taken care of promptly the following morning. Best apartment experience Ive had in my 5 years of renting.
This place is constantly under construction so good luck ever sleeping through the noise. Staff does not communicate with each other and paperwork/packages constantly gets “lost”. Even checks get “lost” as they try to squeeze every nickel and dime out of you when they can. Property Manager Jean is the least empathetic person I’ve ever met. Will screw you over if she can make a $1. Knows all the tricks of the trade. How do you think these apartments can afford to be renovated constantly? With the money she takes from you. You will not ever get all of your security deposit back, so just know that going into this place. She will always find something ANYTHING to charge you for. So many better places to live! Wouldn’t move back here if someone paid me to!
Great place to live I highly recommended it staff is very friendly and efficient.Apartment complex very quite nice and clean.
We stayed in Meadows for almost 2 years and loved it. The repairs in apartment if any were always on time, Snow was always removed in timely manner during winters. heating was good, AC works great. the occasional resident parties were fun. Fitness center, Tennis courts, Swimming pools are well maintained. communication from the leasing team was always prompt. ample parking space. laundry room was always available and worked just fine. Overall a good and peaceful community, had to move because of Job relocation. would always prefer to stay here if moving back to Milwaukee/waukesha.
My fiance and I have been living at The Meadows since 2017, just renewed our lease for 2020! The Meadows is in a great area of Waukesha, close to Brookfield. Weve never had any issues with work orders, the leasing staff, or anything else! If something breaks, they come fix it in a timely manner. They address all of our concerns accurately and I hope we dont pester the leasing staff with our questions!I highly recommend these apartments!
We have lived here for 5 years. Great Location and spacious floor plan.
I see a lot of bad reviews on here and I wanted to set the record straight. This is a great place to live! There will always be those people who have bad experiences and feel the need to put a business down by posting bad reviews, but that shouldnt reflect the business as a whole. I absolutely love living here! The pool is very clean and so is the workout room. The workout room is very big and has a lot of different equipment so theres no need for a gym membership while you live here. Theres a sauna as well which is also very clean and enjoyable to use. The staff are all very friendly and will help you out with anything. Maintenance respond very quickly to to any issues (within one business day). Everyone who lives here is nice too, Ive never had any issues with neighbors. Overall I would highly recommend living here :)
While the grounds are nice, the price is really high for basic living quarters. No lights, no fans, and one tiny little air conditioning unit?Heating is great, but good luck in the summer....
Quiet and roomy living area
You cant go wrong renting here. I lived here for 2 years and loved it. Swimming pool and barbeque area complete with outdoor fireplace.
Fairly standard large apartment complex. Spacious, clean, convenient. Can be noisy. Get a second floor apartment to avoid neighbors stomping overhead all night.
I lived at the meadows for 5 years. I dont have any complaints that come to mind right off the top of my head. The staff are awesome. The apartments are well build. The walls are not paper thin. I never heard my neighbors. No noise complaints at all. People there seem to keep to themselves and respect the quiet hours. There were of course a few bad apples who have no earthly clue how to park and who think the world revolves around them, but you will get that where ever you go. Its a good location. Also, they were very fair with me when I moved out. Even after living there for as long as I did, I got my deposit back in full which was a pleasant surprise.I see a LOT of hate on here with these reviews. Unfortunately, most satisfied people dont bother to write reviews. Thats just the way it works. Usually the only people giving feedback are of the eyes wide shut party who dont respect the rules, suffer the consequences and then run to their keyboards to cry about it.Read your lease agreement through several times. Know what is expected of you, act accordingly and you shouldnt have problems. Respect the staff and they will respect you in turn. I had ZERO issues with the staff. They were nothing but professional. Thanks -Justin
I have lived at this apartment complex for almost 2 years and I absolutely love it!!there are so many things to do, not just at this site, but its right next to anything youd want to do. close to grocery shopping and gas stations and main street is just a few minute drive away!!the staff is super friendly and maintenance will fix any issues you have within 24 hrs!!all the neighbors are really friendly and respectfulI love the pools and the tennis courts and the movie theatre room is really awesome as well.the kids get a little noisy during the summer months so if that would annoy you I wouldnt recommend living on the ground level, but the neighborhood is great and for the price its easily worth it with everything you have available to you!!dont pass up possibly having the privilege and opportunity to live in such a great location!!!
Place always stinks. Appliances are low quality. The office workers are some of the least helpful and most rude people I’ve met.
It used to be a very good apartment but looks like Management is facing lot of some cash crunch and are now bending lot of rules not in favor of residents and considering there are lot of good apartments now across the city and this one has clearly lost its shine and with RIGID and NOT so friendly management it is gonna go bad still. Will not recommend this to anyone.
As other reviewer said, you dont feel the pain until you need to deal with office staff, especially manager. Manager do not have any respect towards tenants. My experiences .. Even though I made a part of payment, and inquiring staff about additional charges, manager sent a email showing EVICTION clause, not respecting my stay and no due payments in my entire stay.If you need permission take written approvals, dont trust any staffs verbal approval, including manager..they do not keep records updated for verbal approval..Keep a huge deposit in savings..cause you may need while moving out. they slap you with total replacement cost, even single plastic blind is bent. They say encourage to paint, but beware of the bills when you hand over, cause you will be responsible for years of painting mistakes, unless you maintain a library of original condition photos.
I was very hesitant to write this review, however I believe more people should have knowledge of how terrible The Meadows is.I absolutely do not recommend anyone rents from this location. After doing a final walk through and finding next to nothing wrong with our unit, we had lost almost our entire security deposit due to holes in the carpet. The holes were in the middle of a bedroom, so they easily would have been noticed during the final walk through. The Meadows staff is absolutely horrible with communication between employees. After going to the front desk to ask about renting an additional storage space, they never gave us additional information that was asked for about it. Even while moving out, the front desk swore that they had sent us emails regarding details, however when they checked their email history, there had been nothing sent. Please do not get me wrong, there are a few positives of The Meadows such as their amenities, however the negatives far outweigh the positives. Please read any of the other negative reviews, and I assure you that they are not exaggerating.
Looks good from the outside but isnt great from the inside. Maintenance issues, bed bugs are common. Lacks supporting staff and cooperation from the insensitive property manager.
The management there is awful. They wont speak to you on the phone. Instead, they have you talk through their secretary as you hear the manager standing next to her. They frequently come into your apartment when youre not there and arent open to rescheduling even though they claim to be when signing the contract. My neighbors have found items in their apartments that didnt belong to them. Leading them to believe that someone was in their apartment without their consent. The snow removal was terrible and you better have space heaters because the radiators are terrible. The maintenance was nice and quick and the secretary there was also very friendly. The only two positives Ive found while being there. Absolute worst renting experience Ive had in the 10 years of renting.
Terrible service. Do not go here. I lived here for several months just as a stepping stone for another better place, and my god was it awful. The complex never adhered to any requests, and were constantly rude. You could request the simplest things, and they would blow a gasket and argue with you about it. DO NOT live here. Not to mention the place always seems to smell of curry and smoke. Despite many requests, they would do absolutely nothing about the smell of curry and smoke. Truly awful.
Great place to live. Well kept and kind staff.
Went for a Birthday party in their community Hall, looked pretty good
Apartments are not this nice in oshkosh, nuff said.
Never sign a lease renewal before the 60 days required. If you do they will not let you out of the lease until its rerented which could be a year. Most apts you pay a 2 month penalty if you break the least not the Meadows. Beware before you renew or break a lease you will be on the hook for the length of the lease or until they re rent it.the staff is great
I love it at the Meadows! Everybody is really nice and all of the amenities are great!
I never got pass the application process. I dont what it is with this place but theres a lack of communication between the staff and potential tenants. I was told that in order to be approved an applicant must make 6 times the rate of rent. I dont understand how that would be possible, usually renting is cheaper than owning a home but 6 times the rate is ridiculous. They also ask for an absurd amount of information to the point where they might as well take your first born as well. They make you jump through so many hoops you might think youre joining a circus. Dont recommend at all.
I had to cancel my lease early and the management was very helpful throughout the process.
Had a wonderful experience in Meadows. Had a faster application screening (online) and smooth sub lease transition. Management may demand more deposit in case your spouse does not have history in US. Like many Milwaukee apartments tenant is responsible for the lease term. No lease breakage available. Staff and maintenance were great always and reached through internet or phone. They should waive processing charges when rent is paid online. The amenities too were good. Common laundry facility was neat, quite and clean. The club house is a awesome place with visitor lounge, tv room, home theatre, snooker pool, dart board, 24 hr gym, table tennis, hot sauna, two swimming pools, many tennis courts, barbecue area, garages. Near to Sams club, Target, Brookfield and E Moreland Blvd
Lots and lots on complaining on here so I thought I would set it all straight. Ive been here a few years saving up for a house of my own. Sure, sometimes it smells like curry, but once you get into your apartment it smells just fine... unless you yourself are using curry. The maintenance team is great. Usually respond the next business day and fix whatever is wrong. Ive had to call for a few things like the AC unit broke... next day they replaced. Clogged drains, no problem. They dont get enough credit.Pools are maintained very well, they can sometimes be crowded but its a larger apartment community so its to be expected. If you go during the day on a weekday, theres a chance youd have the pool to yourself. Neighbors are generally friendly. The office people are nice enough. Bottom line, great location, decent price, large rooms, good maintenance.Someone wrote about roaches. Yeah, I was in a building that happened to. Turns out a new resident brought them with as they moved in. Their stuff was infested and it started to spread. The meadows staff was very quick to respond and workers were all over it.
I was told I was able to rent month to month but once my year lease was up, they said I could not do that unless it ended during Spring or Summers months. Although it was stated on the lease agreement that we could, they did not uphold to the lease term or inform us about a winter clause despite telling them we needed to move during winter months. I would not recommend this complex to anymore. They are rude and inconsiderate especially of students ! Stay away!
Only went here for a tour thought it was pretty awesome for what youre paying!
Very bad apartment. Racist leasing office people. Moreover the manager is very much racists. Also they dont have any lease breakage system. Very bad for pet. Never go there.
People smoke in the public areas. There dog poop everywhere. When you move out the office turns rude and unhelpful. Trying to get help or information when moving out is like pulling teeth. I thought the service was fair up until I wanted to move out early since I bought a house. That apparently flipped a switch and the office was then very rude and unhelpful. They would ignore me, be rude when answering questions (if they answered my question at all). Most of the time I asked them a question they would give some round about answer that was not helpful. I was pretty disappointed in the office at the end.
Just like every apartment, there are positives and negatives to this one. Its up to you personally if youre okay with the negatives.Positives:-the apartments are pretty, great walk in closets, and fairly up to date-there are amazing amenities, if you use them-the location of these apartments are amazing, you are close to everything-they really do keep up with the yard work and it is often beautiful-I never come across a lot of dog poo and they even have dog poop stations for convenience-the maintenance has always been very quick to help whenever Ive called-BILL PAYING ONLINE IS WONDERFUL&EASY!!-safe area-they have little events/parties which are cool if you live with someone or make friends here-MOST of the people in the office are nice-student and military discounts are awesomeNegatives:-a little pricey for the square footage you get-it does smell like curry in the hallways (once in your own apartment you dont smell it). That really depends on your neighbors though because mine leave their door, literally, ajar so they can air out their apartment-the walls are PAPER thin. I could hear my neighbors cat meowing while I was reading in my living room with both of our doors closed..-I have heard of bug incidents, but, thankfully, it hasnt happened in my building-they are completely rigid with rules and leasing agreements, which is expected at bigger places-they give you less than a full days notice when they will be entering your apartment-the laundry facility is frustrating, theres no change machines and it is really expensive. A block away, theres a laundromat that is a bit cheaper and dries clothes better-snow removal is not prompt or on schedule-parking lots can fill up early on weekends leaving you to park a building or two awayIf you can afford this place, like the amenities, and luckily get good neighbors, this place is worth it. Neighbors really do affect the whole experience here because there are so many apartments and people in such a small area.
Very friendly staff and beautiful apartments.
Nice courtyard and pool. Noisy neighbors.
Clean, well kept, nice landscaping. Owners seem to care alot about the property.
Whoaa Meadows was awesome place!!!
Nice and clean apartments.
Predatory practices, unauthorized charges, property manager who refuses to work with potential tenants - a racket. Filed a complaint with the State of WI. DO NOT MOVE IN THERE.
WORSE PLACE YOU COULD EVER MOVE TO!!. Office people are rude and you not care of their residents. Maintaince does not help once so EVER. People are loud and rude. Also had a problem with my mail being open and thing stolen from me.
Not so great management. They dont like to give your advance when you leave and ues your money to renovate the apartment the apartment you used. They kown all tactics to convince you for this.
Nice apartment, cool staff
Worst communication to the residents..
Be very careful while moving into a new apartment . They charge you a bomb while vacating for even existing problems like a small scratch on flooring which you wouldnt have noticed while moving in.
I wasnt impressed when I was apartment hunting.
Very nice apartments
Awesome apartments
Has a pool
Nice.
Good to live
Manager has attitude
Nice
This is a safe and quiet apartment community, the location is convenient, staffs are working hard to keep the community to be good and they are nice. The office cares about the issues when the problems show up because they are trying to make everybody comfortable and wont have problems with each other personally. - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
Very nice apartments, but if you should have options to rent with a folder or a floor totally in the apartment
