I met Jeanette and she did an excellent job with hair. She colored my hair mocha. My natural hair color is very dark brown so she did a great job. I love it sooooooo much. I highly recommend going to her. She is so sweet as well.

I asked for bangs and she cut them way to short to the point that it looks like a 2 year old child did it. She was to busy watching the guy mopping the floor and when I said something about them being way to short she continued to change the subject. I went out to my vehicle and cried because I know there is no fixing them. Now I have to try and hide it till they grow back out! I will never go back. I’d give them a zero if I could! Oh and I posted a hair hair cut that I wanted but looks nothing like it and neither does my bangs….. I wish I could get my money back because she ruined my hair!!!!!

My first experience started out horrible with another stylist, however, it turned into one of the best experiences I have had at a salon when I sat at Selenes chair. Selene is magical with color fixes! She kept it real with me and let me know what I could accomplish and not just what I thought I wanted. Im 36 years old and have been to so many salons and I have just now found someone Ill go see anytime i need anything done for life. Selene has truly made me feel beautiful! Jeanette gave me the best experience I have EVER had. I could not be more happy with the results. Her blending skills were AMAZING and she did exactly what I asked for. All I did was show a picture and within a few hours I had the most beautiful hair I’ve ever seen on myself before. I brought my mom in for a trim and the woman did a terrible job. Completely un even and went way too short. I tried telling my mom that Walmart was one of the worst places to go for a haircut, but unfortunately she didnt listen. Definitely will never go back. Dont waste your money spend a little more and get a quality cut.

Selena did a wonderful job on my daughters hair. It twas a long process due to the nature of the project but it came out wonderful.

They took care of my 9-year-old autistic daughter in a very awesome fashion. She got a great haircut and a decent price and even picked out her own hair brush and temporary hair colors. I was very impressed with how well things went given the fact that my child often struggles with having their hair brushed. The technician did an excellent job!

I went to the salon to see Selene for a full highlight and to fix a bad cut that was done elsewhere about a year ago. It’s a friendly and easy going atmosphere. I’ve never had highlights before. Stylist doesnt understand the definition of highlights and two toned me like a 1986 Chevy pickup. After i expressed my dissatisfaction was told to handle it myself

I brought my three daughters (9, 11 and 15) in to have their hair cut and the beauticians were great with them. They did a great job of compromising what I would like done and what my girls wanted.

My grandmother went here tonight and they spent FOUR HOURS on a perm with her shoulder length hair. She wanted her hair feathered back and they chopped parts of her hair off and called it ‘layers.’ She lady gave her attitude and seemed frustrated like she didn’t know what she was doing AT all. Worst part is... they charged her $120!!!!! Never go here!

I came in to a very busy salon, which I had no problem waiting for. Checking past reviews, I saw that Sara Q. had such positive reviews that I’d hoped to get her as my stylist. Behold, after waiting for 2 hours I sat down in Sara’s chair! It was time for me to donate my hair again and we had so much fun discussing what I wanted through every step of the way along with wonderful conversation. I felt at ease and I couldn’t stop smiling through the whole process. My Mohawk is popping with character now. Thank you so much, Sara! I’ll definitely come back to see you. :)

Great salon! All the stylists here are very experienced! They always make you feel special & are very knowledgeable in all aspects of hair. They always take their time to make sure you have a good experience & leave with a fresh new haircut/color. Also educating you on everything they are doing with your hair & showing you what products they are using to help with all your hair care needs. Like different shampoos/conditioners to help with your fresh new hair color, so it will last longer, etc. Definitely recommend any of the stylists here!

I had the best experience at Smart Style in Waterville! I made a random appointment for Sunday and I got lucky that Sara Q. was the cosmetologist that I saw! She gave me the best highlight and cut! I have never felt so comfortable at a hair appointment and look forward to going back again. If you need anything done you should definitely request Sara Q.! Looking at the prices on the board I expected a good salon the girls looked relatively experienced and all except the girl at the counter who ignored me for 10 minutes pretty astute... Boy was I wrong. I finally got to the chair tried to make conversation but was brushed off, the whole experience felt very rushed and very impersonal. I asked for a high and tight 4 on the top 2 on the sides. The first thing the hairdresser does was shave my entire head in what looks like a 3 didnt blend a thing didnt offer product and I would have asked to spike the bangs if I had any left but thats where she started shaving. I was so mortified with the experience I just wanted to get out of there as quick as possible. No need to shave my head to hide a bad haircut she already did that for me. Most of the time Id say you get what you pay for here you pay a lot for very very very little. Do yourself a favor stay away. If I remember right my last experience was awful as well should have stuck to my guns.

I love this shop and all the girls that work here. Sara is my go to hairdresser. She is such a sweet person. she is always willing to fit me in when I call for myself or my son.My Daughter has also seen Sara a couple of times. She has been very happy with every cut and highlight, it takes a while to get it done......because my daughter has WAY too much hair, but she makes sure you’re comfortable and happy the entire time! She goes above and beyond to make you a happy customer. All of us are very happy customers! Thank you Sara!!!

I highly recommend this salon. It may be located in Walmart, but it was as great as any upscale salon I have used in the past. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable making the experience even more enjoyable. Felicia did my hair and both my girls hair. We all got highlights, cut and style and couldnt be happier. Its always nerve wracking when you are new to the area and have someone new do your hair, but all I can say is we were all so happy we will never stray! Sara Q. cut my hair today for the first time and did a fantastic job. The products she used and the flat iron made my hair look great. My husband, who has never once liked my hair cuts, took a look and said, Not baaaad! Highest praise ever from him! This is the second time Ive gone to this Walmart for a cut, and both times have been positive.

I recently moved to Maine and was in search of a new hair dresser. I met Sarah after getting an eyebrow wax while shopping in Wal-Mart. She loved the color red that I have had for almost 4 years and seemed excited to keep it,going. I am so happy that we met and that Sarah is now taking care of my hair. She is very thoughtful about her work and wants to make sure I leave feeling good. I couldnt be happier!!

I went in and had my 3 boys hair cut, it was the worst experience I’ve had, the only child that had a good hair cut was done by chum who did a really good job. As for the other 2 one of which they just didn’t give the haircut asked for, the last and worst was warned from the beginning that my youngest child has extreme touch sensitivity and has a hard time with clippers the stylist had a really poor attitude sometimes being extremely harsh and happy with my 8 year old. On top of the poor attitude the haircut was WAY shorter than requested which is funny because shorter==harder for this particular child. I paid 60 for three haircuts and only paid because I didn’t want to cause a scene in front of my children and make them feel bad about a bad haircut. Needless to say I won’t be bringing my children back to this place again.

Love my haircut & color! Leah is very knowledgeable about current trends, and what styles to flatter my face shape. I had many questions about their various products, and she answered very patiently with expert advice. I am SO GLAD I found this stylist in this salon when I moved to the area!

I have had a bad haircut experience and was very hesitant to get my hair cut again. After 8 months, I walked into this salon hoping for someone from the wonderful reviews. I got Shawna who was awesome. She was great about walking me through everything as she did it. After she dried it she even double-checked for any missed stays. I will definitely go back for regular trims now and I would trust Shawna anytime. Thank you for fixing my bad haircut!!!

Tram is a very well respected, stylist. She’s a perfectionist, she won’t give up until the haircut/color/highlight/etc., is completely on point. I will recommend her to anyone that’s looking for a hair style done right.

It was a horrible experience. I asked for a simple fade and got an uneven haircut. They cut a lot more from the top than I asked, they didnt listen to the instructions I told at the beginning. The girl who cut my hair didnt know what she was doing and tried to fix it at the end to make it worse. I wouldnt recommend anyone who wants an AVERAGE fade cut to go here. Just save yourself some money an use a kitchen knife is you want yourself to save some money and look decent.

I went in there randomly a month or so ago. Sara did my hair and she is AMAZING. I had hair halfway down my back and had it ALL chopped off to a pixie with the sides shaved. She KILLED IT. I brought I a picture to show her and & told her it didnt matter if it wasnt perfect. When she was done the only difference between me and the picture was my face. It was a really difficult style and she made it perfect. Ive always gone to super high end expensive salons in the past but now I will be going here from now on.

OMG! so first off, I gave the stylist the picture I wanted my hair to be cut. I was going from a medium length haircut to a pixie/bob haircut. So, I had a TON of hair to work with. However, I dont know HOW you can mess up the haircut I asked for. The hair dresser didnt even give me anything close to the cut! Sadly, I was too upset to tell them and paid them anyway (yes I know, BAD MOVE). If you are going to get your hair cut here, BEWARE!

I started coming here recently to have a stylist fix my dry and damaged hair from an awful perm from another hair salon. Felicia Bragdon not only fixed my dry damaged hair but she did such a great job with cutting most of the perm out and resulted in the cutest summer short haircut! I’m back in today to get it colored blonde and I’m already loving how it’s looking!

A woman named Shawna.B did my hair she didnt ask me if I wanted my hair washed so I told her I want my hair washed she sighed and did it she was not even paying attention and she got soap in my eye then she cut my hair and it sucked it was uneven! She cut it and then I asked for a little bit shorter and I guess she was distracted or just a horrible hairdresser and cut my hair uneven I normally always go to JCPennys to get my haircut but they werent open and I had important things to do and they always blowdryed my hair. I told Shawna at the bigginning I want my hair washed cut straight across the bottom showed a picture and I wanted about 4 inches off and for her to frame my face then possably blow dry it. She said ok then sat me down and then I said I want it washed she sighed! You should never sigh at a customer! It was all a bad experience. With her! I do not recommend Shawna.B as your hairstylist!my brother got his haircut by Becky.T and his haircut went smoothly she didnt mess up he used to have a cowlick but she fixed it and he hasnt had one since she cut his hair he got a fade and it looked as close as it was gonna get to the picture I showed her she was fantastic! I would definitely recommend Becky.T I would definitely give Becky 5 stars!

I got a luxury hairstyle which consisted of two braids and a curled ponytail. The braids were not tight. I paid $55 + tip. I feel that is too expensive for what I got.
