When purchasing anything you just want the company you choose to do business with to be fair and honest. I have bought many used vehicles in my life from private parties, independent dealers as well as your mainstream dealerships. Watertown Auto Sales is exceptional when it comes to the used car buying process. They are fair, honest and wonderful to work with. I bought a 12 year old Suburban from Watertown Auto Sales. The truck is not perfect but I bought a USED vehicle and it was priced accordingly. I missed the part where humanity evolved to the point where people can predict future problems with USED vehicles. Even new vehicles have problems which is why manufactures have to warranty them. Jason and his team did everything to ensure that the truck I bought is as advertised and will be as problem free as a 12 year old truck can be. I trusted them with my hard earned money and recommend that you consider doing the same with yours if you are in the market for the type of vehicles they sell. If you don’t want to accept the inherit risks of buy a 5, 10, or 15 year old car spend more money and buy newer.

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! I’m writing this a few years after the fact, but seeing their rating so high I have to say something. I bought my first car here when I was 17 (I’m now 20). The first sign should’ve been the test drive, the back door, after being opened, would not shut and had to hold it closed the whole way back to the dealership. They had assured my mom and I it was safe and would go through a safety check before I came to pick it up. Turns out the solution to that was making sure the door didn’t open AT ALL (which I didn’t realize until a few days later). Anyways, the car literally broke down ON THE WAY HOME from the dealership in the middle of route 44. We were furious and had it towed back to the dealership. The owner then proceeded to yell at my clearly distressed mother over the phone because he sent A MINOR to drive home in a car that clearly wasn’t safe, with undisclosed issues. The owners wife (thank goodness someone had some sense here) talked him down and he agreed to fix the issue as long as we didn’t post a bad review and would instead post a good one. On top of this, after going through a car wash a few months after, the paint on the drivers side door was stripped away because of the power washing. When getting it fixed they explained that the last person to paint the door did not paint it correctly when patching the paint on the car. This place is a complete scam and they honestly do not care about the safety or quality of the vehicles they are selling. This dealership reminds me of the sleazy dealership out of the movie “Matilda”. DO NOT LISTEN TO THESE GOOD REVIEWS, DO NOT BUT A CAR HERE.

2nd time purchasing from here. Has always been a great experience. Incredibly honest people. Really try to go out of there way to make things work for you. Absolutely recommend it.

I purchased a used Lexus from Jay at Watertown Auto Sales a few years ago. When it was time for another reliable car there was no question I would go back to Watertown Auto Sales again. I found a car I liked in the morning and few hours later I drove it off the lot. No hassle no problems easiest used car purchase Ive ever made. I would recommend Watertown Auto Sales to anyone in the market for a quality used car at a great price.

Not only was their customer service fantastic, but the salesmen were right on. No pressure, no slick talk. Whats your budget? What kind of cars are you interested in? How many miles do you plan on putting on it? Real questions that you should ask yourself when buying a car. Owner is there and attentive, customer service woman is pleasant and very very helpful, all in all id go back again. And they hustled to get me in the car as soon as they could. Buy from them. Simple.

They are amazing. From the moment I was interested in a car to the first problem I had the service and professionalism is through the roof. I have bought cars from big dealerships and these guys have them beat. They worked tirelessly to get me financed and then took care of the minor issue my car had fast. Huge selection great team will be back in the future.

Update: When I brought the car back in for repair, they resolved the issue and detailed the car. I really appreciate that they followed up on this issue.I found a car I really like at a reasonable price, but after purchasing I have had a few issues. As soon as I got the car on the highway, I found an issue that should be covered by the warranty. I called the dealership the next morning and have having trouble scheduling an appointment. I was told to call back at 2, then call back at 4, then that someone would call me back, and when no one did I left a message. Finally, I called the next day and was told they cant look at the car until 10 days from now. The car was supposed to undergo a full inspection before I picked it up so I feel like this is something they should fix right away. Also, they say the cars are all fully detailed before you pick them up, but mine has obvious food stains on the middle console and and carpet. I hope they follow through on fixing my issue when my appointment finally arrives.

Hands down fantastic place to buy a car. Family owned and operated. Wonderful friendly service with experienced mechanics and just overall good atmosphere. Definitely recommend them to anyone. Just got a Lincoln MKX from there.

What a deal we got!! Staff member helped us right away. Found us a great vehicle that we love! Courteous, friendly and professional. The staff and crew went above and beyond to help us. When we picked up the vehicle, the young woman in the office explained the paperwork explicitly. The vehicle detailing made the car look brand new! We will definitely go back in the future!

Please read before going to this place!So I had nothing but a good experience with this place since buying my car there. However as soon as I got my car I brought it to my mechanic to put it on his lift to check it out. The only thing he found wrong was a bad inner/outer tire rod end. There was a warranty for 30 days/1000 miles. I called, made an appointment, dropped the car off. No problem there. They called me back saying nothing was wrong. My mechanic called them back asking if they could check it again. They became very unprofessional calling the mechanic a sh***y mechanic (my mechanic then lost it at that point). They refused to fix the part, which would be an hour time (if that) and a total of $60 to replace this part.My mechanic is now replacing this part himself because it is a safety issue. Please think twice about going to this place. I fully support mom and pops shops 100% but this is one I would advise not going to.****update****March 25Brought my car to get an oil change a month after of having it. My mechanic has noticed that my front diff is leaking and my other tire rod (inner and outer) is shot. I will now be spending more money on this car. This place is a joke! Do not buy from them! Im furious!

This place is full of scam artist. I bought a car and within a couple of days it needed a motor. They jerked me around until finally saying that that it wasn’t covered by their 1000 mile 30 day warranty. Talked to Watertown federal credit union that they used to finance the car and they pretty much told me better luck next time. Gave them the key to the car and said take it. They mailed it to me and said I’m stuck with a worthless car. But they still want their money I know a couple other people who say the same thing. Word of advice do not buy a car from here.

Purchased a used Subaru Forester from them a few weeks ago, excellent price, fantastic customer service. Owner Jay Grenier is friendly, knowledgeable and most of all extremely fair. Had a couple of minor issues with the car (one cosmetic) and they were taken care of right away with minimum cost to me. And I do mean MINIMUM, never charged me a penny for labor. Deric, a mechanic there knows his craft and was able to diagnose and repair so I had very little down time! Its a family owned business and it shows in the way they do business. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Please please please DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE. I have had the worst experience of my life with the chevy equinox I had bought. I have had to buy a new transmission and I have to pay for a new engine. I put more money into the car for what it is worth. As a college student, I need a car to get to campus and work. I have never left a bad review for a company, but this has been a NIGHTMARE. Im tired of breaking down over the situation. This place does not probably check their cars right. Luckily I know many people in town and will get word out about this place.

Bought an 04 CRV ... runs great.. had a slight issue with a tail light ... fixed it under warranty no problem .. I got a great price on a really low mileage car and Ive gotten nothing but compliments on how clean the car is. They have a ton of lower mileage stuff... I know most of their inventory is new car trade ins from dealerships, they dont buy from auctions so its just a better product from the start. I highly recommend purchasing a car from these people. They did all my financing and registration I pretty much just signed a few things and drove off the lot in my new car. If you want a quality product that is going to last you, check out this dealership.

I have no idea how Jay Grenier is still in business and hasnt been shut down yet.BUYER BEWARE!The cars are good on the outside, but horrible and unsafe underneath. Dont even bother making an appointment for warranty covered issues. They will wait for the warranty to be up, and then conveniently have appointment time for you. Melissa and Jay are great with customer service UNTIL you purchase the vehicle.I had to take my car in for maintenance that was a safety hazard, and Jay Grenier gave me so much guff and arrogance. They had the car for 2 days. They did nothing other than put the original odometer back in the car. They claim to have replaced 1 tire (All 4 had obvious dry rot on the insides), yet they did nothing. They refused to show me any service orders or give me a copy. They also claimed that my mechanic (who charged me nothing to inspect the car) was wrong and just trying to get money out of me.I asked for my trade in and down payment back, Jay Greniers response was Im not obligated to do that, Its already on the lot. Two days after I had the vehicle.When the vehicle was taken in by Watertown Auto Sales, I was greeted with nothing but rudeness and contempt.Nothing was done with my car, nothing will be done with my car.There are already suits against Jay Grenier due to his piss poor operating of his business. He also has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau.I am currently filing a suit against them as well.DO NOT BUY FROM WATERTOWN AUTO SALES.

Terrible experience. I had purchased a car from them and after a week of owning it my heat was shot and I noticed a violent shake coming from the front right end. I had my mechanic look at it and he knew right away that the car was in a prior accident as evident by the spray paint visible on the back right tire and immediate area. After putting it on the lift he found that both my back rims were bent and my front axels were shot as well. When I brought it in they looked at it no problem, however they said my axels were in fine condition and that the car accident was somehow my fault. They accused me of getting into a major car accident, mind you theres clearly no body damage. Service is a joke, had they admitted that they missed it rather then refusing to accept blame Idont have no problem. Check them out on the Better Business Bureau, they boast an illustrious Friday rating, that they also deny.
