Clean facility, however I do not appreciate the fact that you have to ask staff for the password to use the Hydomassage Table! You would think paying for the Black Card Membership would be good enough to get the code!!! Planet Fitness would benefit from coming up with a better solution! Such as have the code linked to the card automatically. Thinking about canceling my membership if they dont figure out a solution 🤔

I love this place for the inexpensive membership fee. So many workout options and even tanning beds. This place has a comfortable fitness environment.

I know planet fitness usually leaves a lot to be desired but this one in particular is especially disappointing . Machines are broken and have been for weeks. Water fountain has been broken for weeks and the boys bathroom has the soap dispensers ripped from the walls and on the counter. Staff is always on their phones at the front of the gym and the guests are always working out in jeans and flip flops. Place is ratchet to say the least .

It’s a good place with lots of options, but there’s not a lot of room for doing floor exercise. Also, despite the mask mandate that they themselves have posted on the door, there is ZERO enforcement of it, even the employees aren’t bothering to wear masks properly. I’d stop going over this if I wasn’t vaccinated, but they are putting a lot of people- older folks I see a lot- in danger by being so lazy about this.

The staff always greets us as we walk in and wishes us a good day as we leave. They are free and willing to answer any questions I have. The cleaning stations are filled and easy to get to. I appreciate the convenience and variety of machines they offer us.

A Covid joke. On the front door is a sign that says you have to wear a mask to enter the gym. Once inside after checking in, No masks required. So what is the use of requiring a mask to enter? To protect the employees? That is good, but why not protect everyone else? Only a few people were wearing masks while moving around the gym. About 6 or 7 people were congregated near a corner without masks talking up a storm. I went to different Planet Fitness locations after that and saw signs saying it was a Planet Fitness policy to wear a mask while moving around the gym and while not actively working out. Hopefully a manager or supervisor will see this review and take action at this location.

What a ripoff doesn’t waste your money

I like going in and getting my walk in. I don’t feel like people are staring at each other, just doing their own thing. I also like that there’s plenty of equipment, so even if one person is using something there’s usually a second one to use.

I usually work out w/my daughter and her best friend. The black card membership allows you to bring a guest, have access to use all the amenities plus any location. Great option if you travel a lot or are on vacation.

This is an excellent place for people just starting to go to the gym, and also for people who feel comfortable there already. The equipment is simple to understand and well-maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and informational classes are offered on how to use the equipment and get the best out of your workout. The best part is the constant reminders posted throughout the gym that it is a judgment-free zone. The black card membership is WELL worth the money, if even for the guest passes and massage machines alone! I highly recommend Planet Fitness.

Was living in Wisconsin, then moved to Texas now here in Waterloo very disappointed that the gym is not opened 24 hours EVERYDAY, having the type of work schedule that I do, late nights or early mornings worked perfect for me, but now I have limitations regarding how I workout at the gym... Plus I just got ready to go to the gym from work only to realize it had closed at 7pm, where they do that at?? Waterloo I guess smdh Hints the 2 star review....

They pulled a $32 miscellaneous fee from my boyfriends bank which made his account negative. Have tried MULTIPLE times to see the manager there and shes non existent there. We were told 2 nights ago from the guy working there that the manager wouldve been in yesterday. NOPE! Apparently shes out until NEXT WEEK! Complete waste of time and money and TERRIBLE service. *Edit* Just talked to the manager earlier today (8-26-19) and talked to her about the whole situation and basically said were SOL and that its who we bank through. After I got off the phone with her ANOTHER FEE WAS TAKEN OUT!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! THATS TWO WITHIN A WEEK. I 100% DO NOT recommend this place. Terrible. And they charge you to cancel too.

Recently joined and plan to get started soon. The staff person that took my information for membership was very kind and helpful. Looking forward starting up.

Worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I was looking to cancel my membership, and called March 25th to do so. Apparently, you have to physically go into the location to do this. I was available April 3rd to do this, and to my surprise a $41 annual fee was charged two days prior. Why I was made unaware of this when I called? I have no clue. To make things worse, the manager will not refund the $41 that was charged to my account. I explained “if I knew about the fee, I obviously would have come in earlier, right?” She shook her head and said “well I don’t know.” OBVIOUSLY I $41 DOES NOT JUSTIFY 2 DAYS FOR A GYM MEMBERSHIP. I called the cooperate office, and they said there’s nothing I can do. Absolutely terrible. I will never recommended, and certainly will never step foot into another PF. Terrible customer service. Kim is the manager, and she is a joke.

They just changed the bulbs in the tanning beds so they are much better than they used to be. The 30 min workout and 12 min abs are a perfect start to the day! Staff are friendly and helpful. I just wish it was open longer hours on the weekends because I have 4 kids and need to come in after bedtime.

Nice place with lots of different equipment to workout. I personally enjoy the hydro bed. It gives you a great massage at the end or beginning of your day.

Clean not crowded

I travel around for my job and I end up seeing a lot of planet fitnesses. They are my go-to for some healthy exercise and clean shower after driving all day. Ive been spoiled by some very well kept and modern builr clubs so my standards are high.this club got three stars instead of two because the associates at the counter where quite friendly and welcoming when I walked in. Its also a nice large size club. It seems to have all variations of the equipment that you see at these clubs.But on close inspection on todays visit this club is not very clean. Im debating whether I actually want to take a shower here or not. The sink area is the worst Ive ever seen in any club I can see why the hours arent 24 hours might have a rough crowd that uses it.I dont want to go so far as to say that this club may be the embarrassment to the chain as far as the dozen or so clubs Ive been to so far. What is definitely the least clean Ive seen. So sorry but 3 stars.

People are nice, bathrooms appear clean. Equipment not well maintained. Entrance doors are not handicap accessible! It is not a 24/7 gym. 😕

I love the employees at Planet Fitness. They always have good attitudes and are very helpful! I enjoy my workout from the variety of machines and weights. I feel like Im stealing my membership because I get to not only workout but tan and use the hydro bed too all for $21 something a month. The ONLY negative thing I have to say about Planet Fitness is the weekend hours are horrible! I like to go after my children are all settled in bed and spend a hour or two but I miss out on Friday Saturday and Sunday workouts :(

The now manager of cf hes also a PT. he basically revoked my black card because he didnt want to have to do his job and clean the body shaking machine. He then proceeded to judge me by my appearance saying looking at you Id say you have vertigo which didnt make any sense, I overheated and drank too much water after cardio. Which weve all done atleast once. Well that was the first time its happened to me and he claimed it happened more than once. Said that 3 years ago, 3 YEARS AGO, I had done the same thing. When I in fact alerted the clerk that it looked like somebody vomited in the back, (it wasnt me) but it was gross. Im banned from using any black card equipment whether I have the membership or not.

It a safe place to work out and lose weight. All the machines are well placed and at a good range from each other.

I wish the headphone jacks worked on the equipment or the words on cc tv were larger. As it is the TVs are not very useful. It seems to be a good place to work out and the help is friendly.

Sunday May 24, Waterloo IA. Staff at front desk were not wearing masks appropriately. Staff member walking around with mask down on chin. On some cardio equipment did not feel like every other machine is far enough distance.

FIT gym is so much better.

ONLY RATING ONE STAR BECAUSE I HAVE TOO!!!This company is a full on scam. I was told by an associate, with an eye witness that I would not be charged again for the month of August, yet the company proceeds to charge me $64 because of miscellaneous fees, and then proceeds to charge me another $34 dollars for no reason. I have gone to the headquarters with a request for a full refund of these charges and as well as a request to cancel my account because of their urge to keep withdrawing money from my account. DO NOT COME TO THIS COMPANY. EVER. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!! I WILL NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE EVER.
