HOT GARBAGE!Worthless, supposed to come once a week but often skipped a week, sometimes two. Maybe showed up 60% of the time so garbage piled up. Driver uses arm to dump can and sets it down on the “extra” bags, from the previous week and drives away, because “ they only take one can...”

We have used them for several years now. They are now consistently late on pickup of garbage and sometimes they don’t show up. I am thinking about taking business elsewhere. Very poor service in Jesup area.

I’m still in the middle of my interaction with this company and I’m very very disgruntled. I requested that my dumpster be delivered on October 30 and they said will do everything we can to get it to you so to me that meant it was going to show up, it never did. I called and they said yeah we couldn’t get it there so we’re bringing it on Monday morning I said please don’t do that just deliver it on Friday, November 6 they got that part right. I emailed the person that I have been corresponding with and said if you drop it off on the sixth please pick it up on the ninth I never got a response to that email. It’s Wednesday afternoon at 4:20 they close in 10 minutes I’ve called twice today and I’ve been told that my name is on the list to have my dumpster picked up, and to me that meant they were coming today to get it. I was mistaken that’s not what it means that means they’ll get to it when they get to it, so it’s still in my driveway and I still can’t park in my garage and I was under the impression it was going to be picked up on Monday!!!! All the other reviews that I read said that the billing piece of the interaction is the worst part I haven’t even gotten to that yet so God help us all!!!! Would not use again, would not recommend!!!!

I work for a competitor of Black Hawk Waste and in doing so have become very familiar with their company. I have had the opportunity to provide competitive bids for a number of different services and found several common threads; poor communication with customers, poorly maintained equipment and inconsistent service. It seems their only saving grace is low cost. Ive included a few pictures for examples but if youve lived in the area for any extended period of time you will have seen much more than this on a daily basis.

MAKE SURE YOU GET FULL DETAILS ON PRICING!I order a dumpster and let them know I needed it to clean up a yard, it was dropped off quickly and pick up was easy to schedule. Pricing was fair and they clearly stated $38.00 per ton for disposal. I received a call at time of pick up to let me know that they are going to charge me $78.00 per ton because I had a mix of yard waste (tree and concrete) and garbage. They are willing to come back later so I can remove the tree. and I informed the lady there was no concrete just a few paving blocks.I came to Iowa from out state to help my grandma because she is not doing well. I am back home in another state and really upset that Blackhawk Waste did not disclose all their pricing. The lady on the phone stated that dont mention it cause they really never have to worry about it. I should not be responsible to pay for something the company did not disclose,I choose black Hawk waste cause they work with the county. The company should have disclosed their pricing in full, I feel I was ripped off and left with no other choice

I had an event at my house and needed a dumpster so I called around and Black Hawk Waste Disposal had the best pricing. The sales department was helpful and knowledgeable. I was also able to get a portable toilet from them!

Always putting my dumpsters in the wrong place, they have taken my dumpsters and replaced them with smaller ones with out asking, and they dont pick up the trash when its full.

Im working on a large roofing job and have a dumpster from Black Hawk Waste Disposal. My dumpster filled over the weekend so I called Monday morning 10 minutes after they opened to schedule a pick up. They said they would try Monday but probably Tuesday. Called Tuesday late morning to follow up and was told they would pick it up sometime that day. Its 5pm Tuesday, they are closed, and still waiting on them to empty. This has cost quite a bit of downtime unfortunately. I would not recommend this company if you need things done in a timely manner.

Pros- This was my first experience needing a dumpster for waste removal. The dumpster was dropped off in a timely manner. It was placed exactly where I wanted it. I had the option to keep it for up to 2 weeks for the same price. This gave me freedom with bad weather for my shingling project.Cons- Billing from Black Hawk Waste Disposal has been frustrating. I have called them three times during this process. I always pay the full amount for services rendered. I paid the deposit and received an invoice. I paid the invoice balance. At this point, I thought our transactions were complete. I received a different invoice with another payment needed. I still have a balance and now a finance charge. As of now, I do not recommend Black Hawk Waste Disposal for services.

Very disappointing service, complacent sales team, outrageous prices - Would not recommend for business use -

We have our card board and garbage picked up. They continue to break the lock bars on the dumpsters and know that it is a problem. We call repeatedly to report this so we can get them changed out. It seems to fall on deaf ears.

Very good working with them
