Great place to do business with. From my initial introduction to their business to the completion of repairs everyone was calm, great communicators, pleasant to deal with. They maintained a very high level of service at all times. They arranged for a rental vehicle which was waiting for me when I dropped my car off. They continuously updated the progress of the repairs both via telephone and text messages. The car repairs were completed ahead of schedule going into a national holiday weekend. The vehicle was returned to me repaired & cleaned both inside and out.

This place is great. They handled everything for me so I Pretty much had to do nothing. I just had to drop my vehicle off and they already had the rental car ready for me. They were very flexible and worked with my scedule. I asked if they can install new tail lights and a rear wheel light while they were doing the repairs and they did it free of charge. Joe at the front desk was amazing. He was very helpful and kept me up to day with when my vehicle will be ready. They even got it done a day early! I highly recommend this place and would send anyone I know there!

Can’t say thank you enough to Ray for his assistance and professionalism after my accident on I-84! He went above and beyond with providing information, reassurance and even a ride into town so I didn’t have to sit on the highway or at the repair shop. Very knowledgeable and friendly – I highly recommend his business and services!

I would definitely recommend this auto body shop. My car got hit and I needed my car to get serviced right away. Ray himself helped me tremendously trying to fit me into his very busy schedule.He was the only Body shop that was willing to help me.Every other body shop that I called was too busy and was extremely rude.Ray himself check and drove my car to make sure it was safe enough to drive. I can’t say enough good things about Ray’s! My car was sideswiped and dented, needing a new side mirror, body work, and a fresh paint. Everyone at Ray’s was so helpful and reassuring - they made setting up the rental and dealing with insurance so easy! My car was finished before expected and they gave me frequent updates about it’s progress. My car was professionally cleaned and looked brand new! They where awesome I got into a accident where someone hit me from the rear end you can’t even tell I was hit at all car is back to brand new they even washed the outside cleaned my rims and cleaned the inside of my car out the staff was very pleasant helpful and friendly I would definitely recommend rays automotive .

On Sunday my friend Rita were on our way to Maine for vacation. Left New Jersey and on 84 in Waterbury had an accident. Ray came. Towed us off the highway. Also got us a rental car. Now he will be fixing the car. Thanks to him we made it to Maine.

I highly recommend Rays Automotive. They fixed my cars mirror. You can’t even tell it was damaged. They also cleaned my car, vacuumed it, and it smells like they shampooed it without me asking. When the tree branch landed on my car I was worried because it caused numerous dents and scratches all over. I was able to make a quick appointment at Rays for assessment and repair despite the storm affecting so many of us at once. They not only repaired every mark, they used a 3 step process and were able to match my special pearl paint. They cleaned the interior. They took care of my Enterprise rental car return. Also, everyone at Rays follows Covid-19 guidelines so I felt safe and respected.

If you go here to get an estimate through your insurance company, don’t bother. Their on the insurance company’s side. They did a three minute look and basically said I was wrong. Go to your own body shop. They will do a better estimate and confirm you are right. If their not getting paid enough, they don’t care. I would not even go here for a private estimate

My 2018 Corolla was smashed from behind by a drunk driver. I thought for sure that it was beyond repair. Not a problem for Rays! They fixed my car to brand new condition. Rays is the only shop in Waterbury on the list provided by Amica, so I went there.The service was top-notch. When I dropped the car off, the office folks were friendly. They told me they would have the car for 5 days. (I knew that would be only counting weekdays.)The car was ready on time, as promised. There was a minor issue with the door when I picked it up, and they repaired it in about 10 minutes flat. Ray, the owner, could not do enough to make sure I was happy with the service they provided.The car looks great! I am very pleased with the results.Its not often that you find a company that is 100% dedicated to make sure their customers are happy. Went to get my headlights fixed and its turned out great. The gentleman helping me new what he was talking about and was very upfront about everything (price and how long the service would take to complete). My brother and I were on our way home from Boston to NJ. We got rear ended out of the blue. Ray himself of Rays Automotive Inc. came as our tow. He was kind and courteous, gave us a lift to a nearby hotel, and even some food suggestions in town.Once we arrived our luggage was trapped in our trunk. Ray went the extra mile and helped us pry it open to make sure we didnt go a night without our belongings. This level of service is rare and greatly appreciated. I went to Rays because my insurance company recommended them. I was so pleased with my first experience that I also had them do work on another car for me personally. The manager (Tony) was a delight to work with, very proud of his facility he gave me a detailed tour before any work was done and a ride home after i dropped off the car. My car had been in a hit-and-run and the insurance company had recommended Rays. Well, the car ended up being totaled and when I went to retrieve my belongings, I was not able to turn the car on in order to eject the CD. It wasnt a huge deal but I lamented the loss of the CD in passing as I left and wouldnt you know it, they were able to get the CD out and mailed it to me the next week. I was really impressed that they took the time to do this. I cant speak to how well they repair cars but I can say that they care and took the time to do something they really didnt have to.

Normally dont leave reviews but the money Ive spent so far is frustrating. Referred to the autobody shop by my insurance company after an accident to fix the driver side door. Up until the repair my AC has worked fine since its a 2017 vehicle, after the repair the car wouldnt start at the shop for a few minutes till they reconnected things. Since then the AC hasnt worked and I had to pay another autobody place I trust 274 to fix that. Also the replacement door they put on the vehicle they didnt bother to put the original key core into the new door instead its a new one. Recently the car has consistently disconnected from the keyfob and locking all doors making it impossible to get into the vehicle without manually opening the door with the key. A key which no longer works for the only door with a keyhole because of the replacement and locks not being changed. Paid 116 to get into my own vehicle, recalibrated the keys etc. Again the keys get disconnected and Im locked out of my vehicle... I call Rays automotive and ask if they have the key for the door they placed on my vehicle, the response was (No we dont). Staying far away from this place going forward, the service was good when you walk in but the work done on the vehicle has caused nothing but problems and additional expenses. Noone of the mechanics in my area or used by the businesses I associate with can understand why a door was replaced and not re-keyed or a key was given......

Had a hit and run while on vacation and my insurance sent me to them, I should’ve driven my car home rather then fix it, trunk was smashed in, rear glasses shattered, tail lights broken, etc etc. car now has a stuttering problem after I told them it wasn’t reading gas when I know I had a half a tank left they said it was disconnected, but never replaced it I can’t even put a full tank of gas bc it sputters and the tail light they put “brand” new is full of water and the trunk is full of water. Mold growing in the trunk. After I brought this to their attention they want another chance at fixing it. Um no thanks with the amount of damage that was done they should’ve totaled it, but greed played a part and they chose to replace the parts and now I have to drive 5hrs to take it back to them. Don’t put urself thru this headache, do yourself a favor take it to the dealership it’s not worth putting your family at risk over their greed for money. If there was a spot to put negative stars they would’ve achieved it. Rays automotive will never get my business or anyone I know.
