I’ve always be able to rely on Midas in the valley. They are patient with me and they do not treat me like I don’t know what I’m talking about when I describe what’s going on with my car. In fact they treat me well and I truly appreciate their customer service!

We were three girls from out of town who desperately needed a new tire on a rental car. Chris, the manager, was awesome and found us a tire in the right size and got us in to get it changed the day we needed it. In my mind Chris is a hero and I would highly recommend this Midas! Everything went perfectly with them.

I love how they sent me the inspection report directly to my cell phone. The inspection report was easy to read and understand, and even had pictures! So happy with my recent experience.

The exhaust guy was horrible. Conversing with the man was like explaining a toddler how to walk. I explained what I wanted and how I wanted it and he had made it seem impossible. I had photos of the same year make and model of my car of how I wanted my exhaust to prove that it was in fact possible. He wasn’t confident in himself in his field of work and had no interest in me as a customer. I left it overnight and came back the next morning to see one exhaust nearly 3” below the diffuser and another further out than the other. Only thing that kept me from losing my cool was the kind gentlemen behind the counter.

I showed up early for my appointment, but they took me no problem. Staff is courteous and explain what was done to the car as well as what needed to be done, with an estimate. Very happy with the service/work.

Wasilla Midas is always friendly and helpful. I get tires, oil changes and basic maintenance done here. They tell if they cant do something, if maintenance is recommended and if it can wait or is urgent. These guys are great.

Got my truck back, after driving it over the weekend I noticed a slight vibration at highway speeds. Called they got me back in and rebalanced the tires. Good to go

The tram at this location are always extremely accommodating and back their work. I won’t take my vehicle anywhere else.

Excellent service! I picked up a used 2009 Subaru in Anchorage with plans to drive back home to Fairbanks. I realized the extra tire noise the car was making was because it had studs in the winter tires. I stopped for coffee in Wasilla and called Midas down the street to see if they could get me in to swap to the summer wheels that were in the back of the car. They said I could come back Tuesday (this was on a Friday) or get me in that day with a three hour wait. Both the tech and myself agreed the summer tires should be replaced. They had the tires in stock and buy 3 get 1 free. I also got the tires repair insurance for $60 (worth it). I was back on the road in half the time they said with new tires to get me home safe! Big thanks to the crew running the show on April 16 afternoon!

They did a wonderful job. I thought something more was wrong and was prepared to pay for additional parts. However they asked me to come in and test drive the car because they didn’t think I needed the additional part and service. I was very impressed that they didn’t just put in the part after I approved it. Rather they were honest and ethical in their dealings with me. Very impressive.

I have been using Midas for several years. They are always very professional and have great quality service. Chris and Ryan rock. Very professional and helpful. I have recommended them to all of my friends.

Midas fixed my transmission gasket and tightened up my exhaust shield which had been loose and was making noises. Everything is running smoothly and quietly now. 🙂

They were pretty good and friendly, although I didnt care for the pricing. But then again I also am not aware of the average cost for oil and such.

I ATTEMPTED to use their service but i guess theyre too busy to take my call. Called 5 times because im in a crunch trying to find tires. Second time someone answered and put me on hold. Was on hold for 5 minutes, then was promptly hung up on. Then noone answered after. Definitely have to take my business elsewhere because i guess Midas is too busy and too good for me.

DONT USE. THEY WILL LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE UNLOCKED TO GET BROKEN INTO. Most terrible experience I’ve ever had with a repair shop. Dropped my vehicle off there and only asked for spark plugs to be changed. Was told it would take about a week. After a week I called and checked in and front desk person said it’s moving up to the front should be worked on soon. So I said alright called back another week later. Same answer. Called back again another… week.. later. Still same answer. Finally they call back after A MONTH and tell me my engine compression was low so they didn’t change the spark plugs and oh “think your vehicle might have got broken into”. All the front desk said was “sorry”. Atleast $1,000 of belongings lost.

They did a great job keeping me informed on how long it would take.

Several years ago I took my pickup someplace else when I checked the next day it had not moved i went to Midas and asked when they could get to it they said now I went and got my keys from the other place took it to Midas and they fixed my water pump immediately. And from that time to now Midas has been servicing and repairing my pickup and my motorhome and I am exceptionally happy with the results.

This shop had a bad rep a decade ago. I gave them two tries the last 6 months, Very professional & no B.S. (Tires only for me) place was crazy busy so they are doing something right. Also, I was addressed the moment I entered store. Unlike a big Cooper competitor in the same town, whos customers are made to feel like they are in second grade raising ones hand for attention. Its the small things that bring customers back. I didnt even look at pricing. It was nice to be waited on even though they were backed up and probably undermanned that day.

All of the staff was polite and helpful. I brought in the wrong battery and they helped me get the correct one installed, leaving the old one in my car to get the rebate for the old core. Price for the service was on the high side but they got the job done quickly and never tried to get me to purchase services I didnt come in for.

They were able to get me in quickly to have our oil pressure sensor replaced in time for us to go camping the following weekend. Thank you!!

My tire kept deflating slowly so I pulling to get it checked. I was out of here within an hour! They had free WiFi and they’re doing a good drive! Such nice people.

Wasilla Midas has serviced my car for the last 4 years. Ive taken my car to them mostly for oil changes, general maintenance, and tire service. I like that I can book an appointment with them, and service is quick! They have been thorough in all-point inspections. All the staff are friendly, easy to communicate with, and straight forward without being pushy. Prices are reasonable. They recently did a scanned on my vehicle when the check engine light came on. It had come on in error, and they reset it free of charge.

Took way too long, didnt update me at all. I called ahead for an oil change but when I got there they had no record of me calling. The waiting room is in total disarray.

Midas never been but looks like a cool building do they build semi trucks or something. Probably so i figured give em 5 shiners anyways. I hope im right.

They get you in and out witha tire change or a oil change fast.

Other outfits in the valley try to pressure you into getting things I didnt need. Midasnot only gave me what I wanted but gave me an incredible deal. I will be back to midas again

I went to have a set of tires installed. Pretty standard install, and they charged almost 120.00 to install them. Over 25.00 a tire. While this was bad enough, the kicker was when the guy behind the counter tells me my break pads are down to a 3-4 and I need new ones. I told him we had a big problem then since they had just done break pads on my SUV a couple of months ago and I had even paid extra for premium pads. He looked it up and found out that they had just done them, and the back peddling started immediately. oh we must have made a mistake, oh they looked at the wrong pads, oh every other excuse they could think of. The mistake was not checking previous work done before trying to sell me things I did not need. It was pretty obvious what they were doing by the looks on their faces, and the scrambled whispers with the boss. Is business so bad you have to scam people for break jobs? I suppose when you have to charge twice the going rate for tire installation, every extra buck counts. I will never go back there again.

Poor customer service. They do not return phone calls.

Took my old 92 Toyota in for some extensive exhaust repair work and the guys, Chris up front and Kenny in the shop, are awesome! I love that Midas does appointments and these guys had my truck diagnosed within an hour, called me on the findings and quickly began replacing parts and even welded on a new pipe extension. First class people and they focus on what your vehicle needs while getting it done in a timely fashion during a hectic peak season. Job well done and I highly recommend this shop for anyone needing vehicle repairs.

They are always helpful and courteous and if there is ever a problem, which is seldom, they make it right. One of the few places where integrity and honesty mean something. Ive had my vehicle in there a few times for service and left happy after each visit! Pricing is more than fair, there is no doomsday upselling and the employees are professional. I would definitely recommend this shop; the manager, Ryan, runs a great ship!

These guys are awesome they saved me $300.I brought a car in for a tire change over and alignment,and got a call that the car needed a hub bearing.They can’t get an alignment done correctly with the one on there bad (not to mention the safety risk of having a bearing go bad on you.)The price came to around $580,(now I know I could get the part online for about $60 and install it myself in a few hours)I thought about it and I would have to pay them for the tire change over, come back again and have an alignment done and pay for that.It would only be about $200 difference and I didn’t want to wait for the part..I called them back told them to go ahead and change the part out.Here’s the awesome part, when I came to pick up the car I paid around $280... turns out that there where some parts not torqued fully and the mechanic simply tightened them down and didn’t charge us for the higher price I agreed to pay...Now some of you may say that is normal, well shops make money on the work they preform, most shops will try to add on to the work load, and these guys even though they were dead in the right to replace the parts and charge me $580 (I did tell them to) but instead they cut the job back and saved me $300.They have earned my trust as a customer.

I was in desperate need of getting my brand new 2019 Ram truck flushed out. I needed a second heater for my workshop in the bed. The auto parts store gave me the wrong antifreeze causing the truck to overheat. I went to the Dodge dealership and they told me the antifreeze was contaminated, after showing them what I purchased.I purchased the Dodge Ram antifreeze and headed to Midas.These people at Midas were great, I had a emergency and they took care of everything, cleaned up the truck afterwards. The counter person taking my information was great he got me in on a emergency, the technician was great giving me some advise on the extra heater hoses, what was going on, overall status.Everything was great afterwards, the back flush cleaned out the contaminated antifreeze, the Dodge Ram antifreeze was used, and best of all the truck engine is fine. I was looking for new tires for my truck. Sales person was very friendly and gave printed estimates for several different tire brands. However their prices were higher than other stores in the area for same tires so no deal this time. Thank you anyway.

These guys made me wait five hours to change my break pads and when it was time to do the work- they didnt have the pads. So they threw on used pads and charged me $300 dollars. Save yourself some money and time and go to a place more trustworthy.

Midas was fantastic! Will do all my vehicle services and any and all tire services. The folks there were so helpful, I realized I had not had good service at all at Diversified. They did special work of mounting a new tire on a new wheel I had NOT purchased there. Diversified Will NOT mount anything new if you did not buy it from them. How greedy is that folks? They said to me they couldnt get the tire for me, so I got it from TIRE RACK on the net. They still wouldnt help me even tho I couldnt purchase it from them. They lost a customer that had went there for many years and thats ok with me due to it being so much better cost effectively and better sevice

My Wasilla Alaska Midas experiences have always been nothing but pleasant and enjoyable! I refuse to take my truck anywhere else for my oil change and maintenance they perform! Ryan has always been a smiling face and helps me with anything I ask. I am not easily impressed by most places but Midas has really won my heart!

Scheduled and appointment online several days in advance. Was supposed to get a call to confirm which never happened. I called them to confirm after waiting a few days. When we dropped the car off it took several hours to get the oil changed and tires done and once again, no phone call when it was ready. I had to call them to find out it was done.They did the work just fine, I am just not so happy with there being zero initiative on their part to contact a customer when the vehicle work is complete.

Shops like this give mechanics a bad name. I got a quote over the phone from Chris for timing belt AND water pump service. Then halfway through repair they called and tried to sell me water pump service, claiming it was not part of the quote. Get your quote in writing, their word is no good. What reasonable mechanic wouldnt include water pump service in a timing belt change!?

A lot can be said about the Midas in Wasilla, Alaska. One thing is that their professionalism and dedication is what drives me to come back(pun intended). Called and neede a quote on replacing the riear shocks for my Yukon XL and they gave me a quote right away. They were able to fit me in the next morning and they did the work in the amount of time and price quoted.

They wanted $95.00 for an estimate up front just to see what it would cost me to fix my window...thats just to look at it... Plftt go somewhere else :)

Midas of Wasilla services our company vehicles, they have left the oil plug out twice and the radiator cap off once in the few years we have dealt with them. This has caused us to break down on the side of the highway all 3 times. Not happy, and unfortunately not my choice to move service companies.Ive also had personal experienced with them where they have not tightened the radiator cap and left my wife stranded on the highway. Alaska can be very cold and being stranded on the side of the highway without a running engine can be very bad. I no longer go to them for personal service.
