A wonderful example of craftmanship, good manners and customer service. Repaired a very delicate gold chain perfectly, delighting my wife (God bless er). Sold me the watch band I had been looking for to match a slim dress watch. All in all, pleasant transactions, and I will not hesitate to visit his shop again.
I trust this jeweler with my fine jewelry. He is an old world expert who takes pride in his work. The best thing about it is that you know your items will be safe with him as, unlike most other jewelers in DC, he does the work on site and does not risk loss by sending it out. All pieces are safely stored within a safe. Many jewelers in the area bring their items to him to repair. Fair prices for excellent work! Five stars all the way. Chris Kourkoulatkos is a very nice, honorable man.
I brought a watch here to get resized. Chris was extremely friendly, and we had a nice chat about Greece before I left. The experience reminded me of a small-town shop, which was a nice break from the fast-paced D.C. life. Chris price was lower than I expected, which was also a nice surprise. He was able to make the adjustments by later that day, and I picked up the watch after I left work. I will certainly go back here again.
Chris were not only helpful, but nice & a good person. I would love to see more places with persons like him. Regards from Argentina!
I came to store after the designated time it was suppose to be open, but it was NOT open. The gentleman in the store came to door but didn’t open door and while I asking what time exactly will you open because I wanted to do business there, all he stated was the store is NOT open yet. The time was from 10:10am thru 10:30am that I waited. I would have understood more if he could have answered my question or gave me approximate time to come to store but neither happened. Bad experience for Friday morning
The worst experience. Period. I brought my watch in to get fixed, the crown had come out and was lost and I needed it replaced. Left my watch there and was told they would send it out, get an estimate and call me back. Weeks and weeks went by until I finally called about it. No word yet but soon to come so I waited. Weeks and weeks. Nothing. I went into the store and asked about it. No word but they would get right on it. Weeks and weeks. I complained again and said to just get my watch back. They called with an estimate to fix the watch that was over the price I paid for the watch. I said no I just want the watch back. Weeks and weeks. I finally got the watch after going to visit their store four times. Six months from the time I dropped the watch off to getting it back with nothing done to it. Terrible, terrible experience. No apologies for the wait or the inconvenience.
Chris Kourkoulakos is one of the finest jewelers in Washington, DC. He crafts jewelry of exquisite design. And he seems to be able to repair any piece you bring to him.
Fantastic jeweler and genuinely nice guy. Highly recommended.
