My home away from home. Just an amazing place. Location, staff everything. Will always go here when in DC
Great location, clean rooms and wonderfully priced. The staff was awesome. Great customer service from Darren and Mgr Tina!!! Customer Service of this kind is hard to find in this day and time!! Awesome Georgetown Suites!! We will return🙂
Friendly staff, clean and well kept. Close to everything. Private parking garage. Lobby has a wonderful seating area and specialty coffee machine, may sound silly, but that machine added a lot of joy!
Had an awesome stay at the Georgetown suites. Ms. Patricia is absolutely amazing. Her customer service is so professional and welcoming. There was another young lady that I didnt get her name that was also amazing. She was working after Ms. Patricia left. Let me tell you - Georgetown suites took very good care of us. They upgraded us to a two bedroom townhouse. It was just amazing. The continental breakfast was also good. This will be our away from home place when we go to Washington. Thank you Georgetown Suites for being simply amazing!!!!
Gonna miss this place, been staying here since 2015, so many great memories
Perfect location, tucked just off main street in Georgetown. Very close to Washington DC sites.
We thought we had a great deal finding a $115 /night room, but were surprised to see a $40 per night for parking on the folio.
Excellent hotel, large rooms very spacious beautiful views. Parking is a little confusing if you want to park in the garage you have to travel about a half mile to get to it even though its under the building. Would be nice to have some dressers in the room to put clothes in as opposed to just the large desk. Swimming pool would be nice but does not exist
Due to Covid and has we are not authorized to enter the United States, we had to cancel our trip. The hotel just refused to refund the amount we paid. Zero commercial gesture. We will never book again with them and we wont recommend it to our friends, family and relatives.
Horrible experience, 1st night we went out for dinner, when we arrived back at the hotel no parking which we paid $40 per night. We were then sent a block away. That parking lot was closed. Finally we waited for 30 minutes and they showed up to let us in. Went up stairs to take a nice shower, ice cold water was told let it run for 5 minutes it will warm up. It’s been running for 52 minutes still cold. Room safe dead battery did not fix. Rooms remind you of a very old worn out college dorm room. Stay away best advise I can give you.
What a find!! Great location w/in walking distance of bus, water taxi, cool restaurants on M St and at wharf, and if you LIKE to walk a little further - all DC mall monuments and most museums. Avis is just a couple blocks away if you need a car rental for a day trip. Quiet and comfortable rooms, full breakfast daily, clean and safe - will definitely be back! Shout out to Leo at front desk, too.👍👍👍 Loved this place.
Stayed for one night. Great location but a little hard to find at first as it is tucked away in a courtyard or alley between two big brick buildings. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Bathroom and kitchenette area were very nice and stocked well. I would definitely stay here again!
Very nice hotel and nice location! Great staff and one of the best customer Services I have seen in a very long time. Highly recommended if your in the Georgetown Washington DC area
Favorite hotel to stay at in DC. Centrally located in Georgetown and it’s a quick walk to the Kennedy Center if your seeing a show. There are shops right up the street and so many restaurants around that you can find all sorts of different foods.
I would have rated it 5 stars, if they would have had softer tissues. I was having some really bad allergies during my stay and every time I went to blow my nose, it would irritate my upper lip more and more. But overall I had a great stay. Definitely recommend this place if you plan to stay in DC.
The location is great for Georgetown allowing main streets to and from the mall area. They offer a quick and fast breakfast, but its not a hot one. Also, its only a few blocks away from the Kennedy Center with a lot of entertainment.
Great location and the rooms are comfortable and well furnished. While it is a great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of Georgetown it has a couple of draw backs. First and foremost is the fact that it only has two elevators. So if you are in a hurry its not unheard of to wait upwards of five minutes for an elevator to become available. Also the gym is not worth the long walk and the non-existent resistance equipment. Great staff and a decent breakfast spread make this place a good stay.
Great choice! Close to all in Georgetown and close to circulator bus stops and Metro. Rooms are very comfortable and pretty quiet. They have a great breakfast included. Employees are all very nice. Well definitely come again!
Great deal for your money. Spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Good deal with the garage and nice access to check-in away from traffic. Worth to book it.
College visits for several days, combined with long vacation. We stayed for 11 nights. -- Price, location, size of the suites all played a factor. I guess in a word, VALUE is the word to describe the Georgetown Suites. The staff was excellent - everyone at the front desk and especially the cleaning staff! We will definitely return and will recommend you to everyone we know.
Excellent location in Georgetown-near the east end. In between the busy street of M street and the waterfront. Quiet and safe. However, some of the decor is a little dated (1980s carpet might be intentional) and there is some mold in the bathroom (growing under the caulked cracks). Its nice if you need to use the kitchen but we are out each night. The breakfast buffet has parties, breads, cereal, fresh fruit, single servings of yogurts, and drinks (coffee, tea, milks, and juice). The defrosted biscuit, egg, and bacon sandwiches is maybe the only thing that sets this breakfast selection from other hotel continental breakfast. But these sandwiches wasnt my cup of tea. There are plenty of breakfast options on Georgetown if you do not want to eat at the hotel.
Where to stay in Georgetown if you can’t afford The Four Seasons! The rooms my parents and my husband and I had were refurbished and clean. It is a 30 second walk to M street and easy to get everywhere.Would recommend to anyone that wanted to stay in the area.It also has a free breakfast in the morning downstairs.
We got the King Suite with the kitchenette area. Everything was great. Though, please note that there is no oven. Just a stove. Otherwise, everything was good. This isnt a luxury residence, but its perfect for a place to sleep thats within walking distance of Georgetown.
We took two suits here in August 2019 for four nights. The rooms were clean. With a couple if minor exceptions, everything was working. Strong Wi-Fi. Friendly staff. Very good continental breakfast. Very satisfied.
Great hotel near Georgetown. The front office staff was rude but the overall hotel is great. Loved the free breakfast!!
Good location. Big rooms. OK breakfast. Bathroom with no locks. Staff very good. Street parking free on weekends. Close to monuments, white house
Great service and locations to stay in Georgetown. This hotel has a prime location to be near walking distances to some great location to Georgetown. In addition, they serve breakfast in the lobby every morning which comes complimentary with a room.
Spacious and clean room with kitchen .Stayed there during 2days for work propose .Minor detail: a welcoming gift of a bottle of water would be perfect !Thank you
Location is right in downtown Georgetown. Rooms are spacious and fully equipped with a kitchenette, a living room area, two large TVs, a bedroom, and a bathroom. Kitchenette had all the essentials in it. The windows seem poorly insulated, so we had to keep the thermostat higher than reasonable. The toiletries provided are too fancy and should not be left in a wet environment (theyre very nice though). Service is quick and friendly. Housekeeping is thorough.
Great stay. We loved the kitchenette. Cozy room but ask for a room not on the street side. Wife didnt sleep that great because of all of the street noise. Continental breakfast was decent.
Very large rooms. Well equipped with day to day requirement. Car can wait in front of the suites for a while. The buffet breakfast does not have lavish varieties but has adequate items to cater almost all kinds of boarders. tea and coffees are available round the clock. The staffs are very professional and helpful. Usually, most of the boarders stay here either on business trip or for official engagement elsewhere. Therefore, the ambience remains quiet, calm yet elegant.
Location is great, right around the corner from the main strip of Georgetown. Great area with lots of name brand shops and homie restaurants and bars. Rooms were slightly old fashioned but very clean, and well kept. The front end staff was very helpful and the cleaning staff were the friendliest Ive met!
Dicey rooms. Not the cleanest in town. Rates were low though and location is good.
We came to DC to see my daughters doctor. The property is a few steps from the neurologist office. The staff goes out of there way to make the experience pleasant. The kitchen gives us a place to make our own meals. Due to convenient, cleanliness, and courteous service, this is my favorite place to stay when in DC.
We stay here every year. Very clean, and enough room to feel like home. Separate bedroom, kitchen, your own family room. We live having a kitchen in our room and we do use it. The breakfast the hotel provides is great.
My wife and I have stayed here for about 5 straight years. I love the rooms with the balconies. Breakfast in the morning is nice and I love the complimentary Washington Post. Didnt have to pay for parking this time. Rates have gone up to $35.00 per night.
Love this hotel. Rooms are huge and its usually a good deal. Great Ubereats close by.
Had a great View and there was a cappuccino machine in the lobby that made amazing complimentary drinks. Staff is very professional and helpful. definitely would stay again!
A company I was interviewing for booked this place for me. Very comfortable beds. Fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, convention oven, deep sink, and plenty of utensils like mugs, spoon and couple of bowls as well. I ended up using none of that, but its nice to know they are available.
Value for money.. quite close to heart of Georgetown.. great restaurants & shopping around 👌
We were here to visit our son about 2.5 miles away. Location was perfect. Staff was very friendly and our room was awesome. Next time we stay we hope to check out the area even more. Breakfast was good and the staff was great about keeping items stocked. Parking was convenient & very accessible from garage. So many things to see not very far away. I definitely recommend for a great stay!!
Good location. Not needing new sheets or towels every day I tend to leave the Do Not Disturb sign out so I end up going to the front desk to ask for more toiletries the person at the front desk asked if the maid didnt leave any and when I explained that I had the do not disturb sign out they mumbled under their breath, thats why you didnt get any toiletries. After that I had just asked the maid when I heard them in the hall. The maids were excellent and very helpful always asking if they could help in any way.
Have visited 2x. Staff helpful rooms large and clean. Will come back any time. Great location too. There are some dodgy parts of town and this is not one of them. Excellent option. No regrets.
The worst hotel ever! My husband and his brothers are staying there right now for a military funeral and they have not had AC since yesterday. They asked for a new room or compensation and they were denied. Mind you one is in the military. If thats how customers are treated, and active military then I DONOT RECOMMEND EVER!
Large rooms with kitchen and great location. Thats about all it has going for it. Outdated decor, zero service (spent 20 mins waiting at front desk to check in and out). Also, make sure to request a room not facing the highway. But you cant beat the price and the location. Would stay again, but they really need to update the aesthetics. The place just looks old and dirty
Medical appointments -- Cherry blossom special made the price for value unbeatable. Loved having suite with kitchen -- Lolita was AWESOME. She was kind as courteous when we requested a room change and changed the room within the same day. She always greeted us with a smile and accommodated our request promptly.
We always stay here and find the people hospitable and the place perfect for our needs. Love the free parking we received with our reservation. -- The glass in the bathroom was left dirty and not replaced with a clean one during our stay.
Well-priced suites in the heart of Georgetown. If youre visiting the area to go down towards the monuments or the museums, this place puts you about 5 minutes or so from the subway system, which makes it super easy to get from the hotel to the various spots round the area. The rooms are well maintained and have everything you need to enjoy your stay. Large bathroom, reasonable sized kitchen area with in-room ice maker, large and comfortable beds, and so forth.Driving around the area can be difficult due to the various one way streets and the large amount of traffic, so it is recommended that you park your vehicle at the parking garage ($35 a day if youre staying at the hotel) and just take public transportation. Parking garage is located behind the hotel on the next street. If youre staying at the hotel, they will provide you with a access card to allow for in and out access whenever you need it.Only reason I dropped a star was due to an issue when we first checked in. We were given a room on a floor that was supposedly cleaned and ready for use. Upon arriving into the room and walking in, we noticed that the bed was not made and there was luggage off to the side of the bed. Luckily, we did not walk in on anyone, otherwise this would have made the whole situation worse. We immediately went back downstairs after making sure that the room we just entered was closed and spoke with the Front Desk. They were quick at determining what happened and assigned us to a different room. Corner rooms for some reason appear to be smaller than the regular-sized rooms.
Quiet, clean and new. Parking couldnt be more expensive
It is a good size room. The carpet appears new. The room is clean. I recommend this place if traveling with their family.
We checked in really late at night. I tried to take a quick shower and go to bed. But I found that there were used shampoo, body wash and conditioner left on one corner of the barhub. And there is no new ones. I really wonder if they ever change their towels and sheets.
This is my first time at Georgetown Suites, and I am very impressed! I will definitely come back to this property. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very helfpul and gracious. A big shout out to Jeffrey at the front desk. He made a point to know your name - excellent customer service!!I am a stickler for clean, and I was blown away to see the corners of the carpet were dust-free - just like my house! The continental breakfast was a nice selection of breakfast items as well.Georgetown Suites - I will be back !
Two things... Number one I had a mouse in my room. Number two I was sitting in the lobby talking on the phone late at night, not loudly, not drunk. One of the staff comes up and accuses me of not staying in the hotel. He badgers me over and over again until I tell him yes I am. After I tell him I am I ask him if he’s gonna interrogate the white guy sitting in the lobby as well. He says he “knows” that guy. Then he continues by asking my room number. I say “ask” but I mean interrogate and harass... look I’m not a doom and gloom racist this racist that type of guy and I understand there are many homeless in the area. I saw numerous cops and people from the the protest using the lobby and never were they approached in the manner I was approached. I was dressed nicely and at that point I had been in the hotel for a LONG time so I don’t understand how this guy didn’t know I was staying there. Anyways find a better way to ASK not INTERROGATE your black patrons if they are staying in the hotel. Also the most ridiculous part of this story is the entire staff is of color!!!!I can’t leave out the positives though and pretty much every other time I interacted with staff they were nice. We had a leak in our room and they immediately sent someone to clean and had somebody follow up soon after. Breakfast is decent.
Hotel was very well equipped to accommodate a family of 5. Loved the location and the staff was helpful. We had a great stay. Our only issue was that the king bed wasnt very comfortable.
I have stayed here several times this year and have had a great experience every time. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is quite good. The best part is the people. Everyone is so nice! AJ at the front deck is the man!
Breakfast, staff, and location are all great. But for this stay, there were issues: The window of room 214 looks right out on a street light, but the blackout curtains dont close completely. I also discovered the kitchen garbage can had not been emptied from the previous room occupants. Finally, the heating vent blows right on the bed, which is very uncomfortable. I have been very comfortable during previous stays, but this particular room was not great.
Right, rught, just right! One heck of a hill at times, but worth it. Great staff. Respect!
I was travelling with a friend, and she forwarded me this link, so we can both send our feedback. -- Miguel at the front desk was extremely informative and helpful! Other staff members at the front desk were also very accommodating, but I neglected to get their names.
There are two hotels, so dont make the mistake of going to the wrong one. The smaller hotel was nice, but a bit dusty in places. It had a great breakfast and the waterfront location was unbeatable. My only gripe was contributing to the homelessness problem that is caused by elitism and wage inequality, forcing people to sleep in the streets across from this hotel, versus in the homes they once owned. Did I mention the view of the water? Location, location, human deprivation!
We had an excellent stay here. The staff was excellent, and the man at the front desk remembered my name after a long day! The room was a bit older, but clean and nicely furnished. Id stay here again.
Finding the place was nearly impossible. Parking was a complete hassle. The room was OK. The breakfast food was minimally acceptable but the dining area was cramped to the saturation point.
Awesome place. Good environment. Right at heart of the town. Accesible by 31,30N, 30S,33,38B,D5 and circulator that goes to Union Station-George town
BED BUGS! We checked into our suite late at night. We began unpacking when one of our family members noticed a reddish bug crawling in the bed. She was able to catch it and we googled bed bugs. Sure enough it was exactly that. We were lucky because they are usually hard to detect. We began searching the bed and saw another crawling up the mattress. If you do not know what bed bugs are, google it. You will be horrified. Not only do they bite and suck your blood as you sleep but they will also get into your belongings to be carried home. It is incredibly hard to treat an infestation. We packed up immediately and found another hotel to stay in.
Not sure. Weve been coming for many years. -- This was our 9th stay and as always, everything was prefect! I do have one small suggestion. We always stay in the 2 bedroom suites. It would be great if in the small bedroom, you had a small flat screen TV. Thanks!
Very welcoming place. Great staff. Rooms are accommodation are great. Would recommend for long stays.
Attended the Peoples Climate March. -- Kesher Israel Synagogue. -- I dont know her name, but there was a woman at the front desk who was particularly helpful in opening up my room for me on the Jewish Sabbath. I feel particularly grateful to her. -- My only major complaint was that the room felt too warm, there was not enough air circulation, and the thermostat didnt seem to work.
Mr. Jeffrey was so helpful and pleasant to talk to. -- Breakfast was okay but would like something more filling. Microwave sandwich was not good.
Excellent location close to the harbor and close access to transit. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and pleasant, meeting my expectations.
Nice and clean hotel plus the suites are very spacious! Breakfast was great and included in the price. It’s walking distance from all the hustle and bustle of Georgetown, which was great! Would stay here again if we return to DC.
The room here was fantastic. Very large, with a comfortable king size bed. The kitchen facility was a great help and the complementary breakfast was excellent! Would definitely stay again, just wish there was a pool.
Very clean and spacious. Very good location in Georgetown. Seconds from M street and the water. The suite style is great. Feels like a home away from home.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Everyone I encountered asked if I needed anything and were very polite and courteous. My stay was short and I will definitely be staying here again!
I traveled to D.C. for the first time and I was anxious for my stay at Georgetown Suites. I honestly hadnt done much research on them outside of the main site (which was nice and gave goo suggestions of things to do in the area), but I figured I couldn’t go wrong with a hotel with a kitchen area! I was blown away the hotel was! The staff was very friendly and check in and check out was a breeze. The room itself was wonderful. It was MORE than enough space for me. In my opinion, the 1 BR suite could easily fit 4 people pretty comfortably. The location of the hotel was also amazing. The conference I attended was at Georgetown U which is only a couple miles away. Its also fairly close to other DC attractions as well as Ronald Reagan Airport. I didnt get to venture out much for because of timing, but I was able to walk a block or so down to M Street which has plenty to choose from when it comes to restaurants and shops. I was also to walk to Georgetown Waterfront Park where the of the river was gorgeous! The ONLY complaint I have is with the noise from the street. My room was located above 29th street and at night it was sometimes hard to sleep because of all of the noise. I dont fault the hotel for that since its not something they can control (not sure who was making the noise, but it seemed like city workers). Once I actually fell asleep I was to stay asleep so that was good. All in all, I enjoyed my stay there and would definitely recommend staying. Im definitely coming back on my next trip to DC!
Home away from home, nice view @ king studio room, excellent services with wonderful staff
Nice and cozy. Its hard to get to but once your there there is a beautiful view as well as good room service.
Perfect location. Spacious rooms with full kitchen. Friendly and helpful staff
Decent price, great location, easy access to Georgetown and city [walk to Foggy Bottom station or catch the Circulator bus]. Rooms are functional. Dont expect luxury standard room or service for the price paid. Free breakfast buffet - Continental breakfast served. Free newspapers - local and national. No hotel restaurant but lots of great restaurants and eateries on M Street and side streets in Georgetown. Great for budget travelers!
Great place. Wonderful staff and good breakfast. Nice rooms.
Great location, friendly staff, huge rooms. The walls are a little thin but overall we had a great stay.
Outstanding location an okay breakfast the people are extremely friendly and very helpful. It could use an update to the rooms
Great location but parking is very limited. We have a larger SUV and it couldn’t fit into the underground parking garage. So we ended up having to pay extra for parking elsewhere. The location though is great and the rooms are clean and staff is helpful
Very good customer service at the front desk and reservation Ms Melishia
Staff was excellent. Breakfast was great. The room was clean and tidy. Parking was convenient (although a bit confusing to find). Just check in and move the car.
Good acomodations but nowhere to park besides private and expensive parking lots. Rude manager.
Spacious suites in very convenient location. Helpful staff.
Nice and clean. A home feel
Horrible horrible WiFi. If you need to work and you need internet connection, dont stay here. Maybe some rooms are ok, but ours has terrible WiFi. Really not acceptable level connection. Breakfast was also disappointing
Ac didn’t work, didn’t get the room we wanted, and were woke by people partying in the parking lot at 1am. Won’t stay again
Enjoyed our stay. Sheets & bathrooms were clean. Continental breakfast was good especially the cappuccino and latte maker. Thank You!!
Its a very sad disappointment from the very beginning of trying to get a parking space in the 15 min. unloading area in front of the hotel just to check in. We circled 3 times, a 20 minute trip and the same cars were in the unloading area. Paul the desk clerk was curt initially. He was overly polite to the patron in front of us, I mean over the top nice. And not very nice at all to us at first. The room, not what was on the booking site. It was much nicer and larger on the booking site. We put in 5 people and we got a king sized bed and a queen pull out couch. I guess we are to sleep 3 in the king bed which is what we will do. The parking is very tricky, lots of columns to maneuver in the basement to get a parking spot. You must pay to park ($35/day) cuz theres no close street parking that is not 2 hours. And apparently the PD doesnt monitor the parking on the street since we saw no one getting towed who were parked in the same spot for at least an hour. Were here 5 days as theres no refund available so we will make it work. Just beware booking this hotel.
Very spacious rooms, and an unbeatable location. Those looking for high-end luxury service should look elsewhere, but for those seeking a comfortable and roomy place to relax, Georgetown Suites on 30th are perfect. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was adequate (nothing extravagant, but egg sandwiches and plenty of bread/ fruit options), and the staff were always friendly. The only truly negative thing I can say is that the rooms can be quite dark (not ideal for makeup and hair) but compared too the other local options, you get twice the space at half the cost.
Womens March on Washington --- Jeffery Robinson..courteous, helpful..even remembered my name from when I reserved -- Breakfast bun terrible. You can do better. How about those great waffles they have elsewhere.
Jeffery was super welcoming and professional. He made a great first impression. -- Bathroom was a little dark
The room was huge and a great value for what we paid. Everyone there was very pleasant. Id stay there again next time I come to DC.
Exelent place, good rates and the room comfortThe people who works there are very kind
Size of suite was great, a full kitchen, a dinning table, a living space, a jaccuzi tub, walking closet and a stand up shower. Those are all great but when I saw the toilet it was filthy from previous use. I gave it 3 stars to be fair.
