First of all none of the know how to cut hair properly, they take too much time more than 1:30 hours for each customer and give you the worst haircut ever, I don’t know about other people reviews but for me it’s a no and I will never come back there, all of them are non professional they don’t know how to do their job

Great group of folks cutting hair in here. Clean environment and very good barbers. Good conversation, you can even bring your kids here. All that aside, the haircuts are always on point. Best barbershop in the city.

My son and I went today for the first time and everyone was friendly and helpful. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and after a short wait, Mac cut his hair and did a great job. Teddy was really nice and has great customer service; I really enjoyed his welcoming energy. I didnt catch the other gentlemans name but he was fun and nice as well. I didnt see anyone smoking and the shop was clean and bright. My son was enamoured with the cat, which seems to be a huge selling point for him, while I really enjoyed the positive vibes and fast service. I only wish kids got lolly pops lol since my son was looking for one when we got in the car. We will be back :)

Best barbershop in DC. And very clean also. All the barbers in there can cut. My man Mack is the best barber in there for the fresh cut and razor line up.

They have updated the place. Nice job. Experienced barbers and hair stylists.Accessible by public transportation.

Moved back home from Annapolis and wanted a shop walking distance from my house. Enter 2Mac barbershop.I have had my hair cut here maybe 7 times now. The first guy I tried was very nice but a drunk and always smelled like cigarettes. On a scale of 1-10, he was a 4. He got fired after my 3rd subpar cut for fighting IN the shop! So I tried the 1st chair, Teddy. My first haircut from him was a 9. I thought I had finally found a good one. No. The next 3 cuts were a 4, and he too always smelled like cigarettes.People are always hanging out front and a lot of the barbers/people that work there hang out front of the door smoking. The shop is newly renovated and they did a great job on the renovations, however, they have this raggedy cat that lives in there and it sleeps IN the chairs and uses them as scratching posts. It’s the tackiest/most unsanitary thing that I’ve ever seen in a barbershop.Lastly, this is not a shop for young people. All the clients are 45 plus. It’s a great location and looks great (besides the scratched up chairs.) it’s always clean and everyone is super friendly, but the barbers are questionable characters, and don’t forget this absurd cat. I won’t be back and it’s a shame because it’s a 3 minute walk from my front door. 😔Take note: the neighborhood is changing rapidly. More and more young families are moving into Brightwood. Subpar service and questionable operating conditions/practices are not going to fly with this crowd. I believe with a firm hand from the owner, the shop could kill the game on GA Ave, but I think he’s old too so, I’m not sure he cares. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Friendly place but Ladies DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR BRAIDED HERE. There is a stylist named Awa who put too much hair in my head in different sizes than I wanted and my short hair required which resulted me having a bald spot in the Front of my Head. She talks more than she listens and have done NOTHING to fix said problem. Horrible customer service on her part even a barber in the shop tried to help before she did and it was her mess that she never intended on fixing . She went as far as lying saying she hasnt been working so she couldnt reimburse my money I had to call the shop instead of her 2 numbers she gave me to find out she has been working all along. Lesson learned.
