I made an appointment for 10:30am and showed up on time at 2526 L St NW, which is the address both Google Maps and the Henrys website lists. The salon was closed--the lights were off and the door was locked. I called Henry and left him a voicemail. At 10:45am he called me back and told me that his salon moved to another location a block away, so I went there. It turned out to be hair salon in a studio apartment in an apartment complex--probably illegal, but that didnt matter to me. I arrived at 10:55am and was greeted by a woman who was doing another haircut. Henry was not present--the woman said Henry is her boss. The woman finally was able to start my haircut at 11:18am and finished at 11:35am, so I was late for a subsequent meeting.The woman worked quickly and did a good job with my haircut. My poor experience is because Henry didnt give the correct address to me until 15 minutes after my appointment time and that caused my haircut to start 48 minutes late.

Was in DC for a wedding and made a last minute appointment with Henry for a haircut. He did an absolutely amazing job - super efficient and was able to infer what I wanted without much explanation. He took max 15 mins and nailed every detail! His price (~$25) was more than reasonable given the quality, which was superior to the 50 dollar haircuts of questionable value from hipster barbers Ive had to endure in the Bay Area. Would highly, highly recommend! (the physical space was nice too, clean, great natural light and a vintage vibe).

Had a wonderful experience at Henry Barber in Foggy Bottom area. I dont live too close this barbershop, bit it was worth the drive for me. Henry was very welcoming and did an awesome job in a surprisingly short amount of time -- couldnt have asked for a better barber..... Really recommennd this place... and I definitely plane to going again when I need a haircut again... in 6 weeks...( hopefully sooner than that).
