I came in for a cut because I had a service to attend. The shop was in decent condition and the conversation was pretty good. The cut, however, was not good. Most times you can tell when a barbers clipper strokes are leading to a bad cut. That was definitely the case here. I asked for a bald fade and got something similar to a bowl cut since the line was not blended well at all. Upon checking the mirror when the cut concluded, I noticed only my left temple was faded correctly. I proceeded to ask the barber to blend the fade, and he attempted to do so. However, it did not look much different. I would have asked him to try again, but I did not want to end up with a high and tight. I was in a time crunch as well, and I knew I was going to have to fix my hair myself or go elsewhere at that point. I did go elsewhere, and my cut was fixed. I wish I could say that the experience was good since everyone was welcoming and the conversation was pretty good; however, the haircut was honestly one of the worst fades I have ever received. I really do not like leaving bad reviews, but in this particular case, I have to. The other barbers looked like they were doing at least decent jobs. I cannot say this shop is unable to execute other fades, but I would not recommend a bald fade.

Got a fade and it wasn’t faded evenly on either side also the clippers are dirty I got barbers itch on my head. This place was good all the other times I come but recently they’ve been careless and they rushed my cut because they had a long line.

This is my favorite barber shop in DC. Eddie does a great job and I love the old school vibe. Plus if you like reggae and soccer you’re all set!

They do not close at 7:30 they close at 5:30, do not waste your time or money on trying to go expecting it to be open as they advertise it.

One of the best actual small businesses left in Dupont. Ive been getting my hair cut here for years and I always have an awesome cut when I leave. The vibe is super chill and laid-back. Its not one of the new flashy hair joints around town, but I always feel pampered and relaxed after my visit.

Worst barber shop. I didnt get a choice into who cut my hair and the guy I got seemed like he was tweaked out on some form of a drug and I swore he dosed off once during cutting my hair. Got knicked more than once on my neck.

Every time I come and visit the shop, I dont have to wait long to get my hair cut, and am welcomed by a barber and explain what I want done. My hair is not easy to cut, but they are patient and I always walk away satisfied. Also, the prices are good, especially for DC!

Ive been growing my hair out and asked the guy to take some off the top and instead of using a guard he just guessed and shaved my head. Now I have a sizeable bald spot on the top of my head and the hair at the front is like two inches long. Nice shop overall but wont be going back.

Fantastic job in a great barbershop atmosphere.As an Aussie whos only in town for a few weeks, i was a bit put off by the $45 asking price for a standard haircut up the road at Wise Owl Club. Im sure they do a good job but given Ive never paid more than AUD $20 for a haircut in my life, I decided to pass. Seeing Eddies as I walked down the street, I decided to give him a try, and I was not disappointed.No wait at the door, and i got a professional scissor cut with a smile. 10/10 cant reccomend enough

I was able to get a haircut in 5 minutes. Kwame did a phenomenal job. The shop atmosphere felt like I was getting my hair cut at home.

The barber by the name of Kofi was brilliant on my nephews head. He was very polite and respectful. The shop was very clean and cozy. I would recommend Kofi to any one needing a good cut.

Possibly the worst haircut I have ever had. Had to go down the street and get it fixed. Patches everywhere, barber was not paying any attention and was too concerned with talking football. Im sure you can get a good cut here but it just depends on the barber.

Despite what I told the barber not to do, he did it. I specifically told him I didn’t want a fade out, he still did it, messed up my beard, messed up my hair, and wasn’t friendly. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a barber. The worst. I don’t know who is giving these guys 4-5 starts, maybe the barber who cut my hair was just bad. I would never go back to this place. Staff was unfriendly, and the guy who cut my hair seemed uncomfortable and unsure. Be warned.
