I have been coming here for years; the students change and so have the instructors, BUT the level of professionalism and quality of service has not. Their work often surpasses profession beauty salons which are much pricier. You get a great deal in a real quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Always have a great experience here except after COVID. Website is NOT updated. Went after taking Friday off to be informed that I needed an appointment-not on website-other services, like eyebrow waxing are not offered-COVID and not listed on website AND they are now closed on SATURDAY. I was informed this by the woman at the service window. Please update the site. Another person walked in after me, without an appointment, and had to go through the same ordeal. That sucks.

The hair service I received was great I just didnt like how my shirt was stained in the process and the lack of action accountability around that incident. Im unsure if I will be returning.

Got to my appointment early. Staff was kind enough to start servicing me before my scheduled appointment. Due to shortage of students staff pitched in to service clients. Got finished in very timely manner.

Is the best, in the past Id had appt for every other week, nice locations in Brookland/Catholic University and parking but have to come early for the parking.

Good cut but took over 2hrs with a 530pm appt.

I appreciate their professionalism, I was taken care of in a timely fashion. I definitely will recommend to family. I live in Baltimore and dont trust no one there to put hands in my head . A few months ago I wrote a review based off service i received and how I thought it was being handled. Let it be known Im not perfect and for the mistakes I may or may not have made I was judged accordingly.Thanks to one of the head instructors (who will remain nameles for security purposes) I was sat down, re assured that everything was taken care of as well as my need to work on my attendance. The fact that this instructor took time out of her already busy schedule to look into my complaint and fix it with an already busy schedule speaks volumes for not only the instructor but the organization and will always stick with me.The instructor I initially had a minor issue with again is a wonderful instructor whose well versed in the barbering field and I get we all have forthcoming so the fact that he somewhat acknowledged it and moved on to be a better instructor means a lot. Id recommend this school and organization to anyone lookimg for a well structured program that will teach you proper skills to becoming a barber.

What I like most is.that they don’t try to over-charge and the students care about having done a good job. In that regard, criticism i might have of any one time the service was less than good would be unfair in that it is a learning environment. And I certainly wouldn’t go back if i though it was bad. Glad they are here.

The best hair school in the District of Columbia for ethnic hair! Please be mindful that these young people are in training. AKA beauty school! Ive utilized their salon services for over a decade and has NEVER been let down about the service I received. I dont come here all the time; however if my main stylist is busy or some other stuff, I go here...Go there with a style concept in mind. If you want a weave or extensions added, bring everything (including hair)down to the needle & thread... Also make sure a senior stylist is on the floor to help execute your vision.

I enjoy the atmosphere & the level of professionalism; there LGBTQIA friendly & the director of the Hair Salon is a wonderful person to talk to about your hair, hairstyle & any issues with the work done to your hair.

Mrs. Byrd finger waves my hair and Im NEVER disappointed; Mrs. Inga and Mrs. Wilson are awesome and these soon-to-be stylists will exceed under their tutelage.

The best experience I ever had. They cut and styled my hair just the way i wanted. The place is clean and everyone is very polite and willing to please the customer. I will be going there again and again.

I have been coming to Bennett for almost 10 year but for the last few years the hair services have became shabby but the last straw was being told I need to comb out my hair before I came for services and almost being over charged for my hair length I cant support Bennett hair school anymore because of poor bussiness practices and poor teaching I dont know what happen to the original teacher with the pretty long grey hair but she needs to go back in to the clinic because the woman they have in the clinic now doesnt know what students have the best equipment and the better skills for certain hair types as well there has been times the students where very unprofessional and disrespectful I wouldnt even bring my daughter in there because of the behavior or the students

Although the service was relatively good, I left disappointed and ultimately angry at how my hair turned out. I got one of the simplest of styles, a wet set (roller set). At the end, the young lady (who was pleasant) pruceeeed to spray my hair with spritz...SPRITZ!!! I would’ve truly appreciated her asking me first as I hate and did not want crunchy hair (and my plan was to wrap it and pin curl it for later). I plan on going back first thing in the morning for it to be re-done. It’s so hard, I literally can’t even finger through it and it’s really upsetting because I had plans for the evening and now feel extremely self-conscious with stiff curls. I will gladly change my rating upon receiving better care tomorrow.

The student barbers are well supervised. They definitely come strong and deliver.

I will be trying for the first time tomorrow. Lets just wait and see how it comes out. Will rate tomorrow. ....my little sister worked here RANDIE (SHES IN HEAVEN NOW. ....

Actually quite a nice way to get it done. Make sure you show up early if on Saturday. It will take about an hour no matter what.

L went a year ago and got the best hair cut ever, l came back yesterday and got the worst one, l request the same Bob cut, and got l dont know what, just a simple, short, and undone uggly haircut 😣😣, how lm l feeling? so uggly 😯😭😢, lm sure Never come back! And, also got the worst eyebrow waxing!
