I switched from Warwick ave to this location almost a year ago, It’s very clean and the staffZack, Marcos and Trent are very friendly and accommodating they do a great job of keeping the gym clean!!

Good location. Small place. In the ladies showers only one had a curtain and the handle was broken as well as a part missing from the shower head. In the mens showers, 50 percent were lacking handles altogether.

**NOTE; THIS LOCATION IS NOT 24/7, ITS 24/5. THEY CLOSE AT 9PM FRI - SUNLots of equipment, in excellent, well maintained conditioned. This gym is remarkably clean, including the mens locker room. They should be commended for that. Its as pretty spacious training floor as well. Plenty of parking.My only gripe was there were no tall lockers. Those half sized lockers are difficult to fit very much stuff into.

Awesome, clean, friendly, and has a variety of excellent quality cardio equipment, and weights. Plus awesome tanning, & total body enhancement machines. Great massage chairs also

Ended up canceling my membership even though I prepaid until May. COVID regulations arent followed. Members are allowed to walk around without masks and have conversations without masks, members and staff go the wrong way down one way aisles, and if you mention to staff about members not wiping down machines they dont do anything. Not worth it.And Im sure PF will do their standard copy and paste form response to email them, because for some reason they are unable to read this.

Walked in and people working out without masks on ellipticals and not 6 feet apart. Going to Work Out World and The Edge as they require wearing masks at all times. They protect their members.PF states only need to wear them when Actively working out... isnt that all the time?! !!!! How dare PF not require masks all the time ! They caved in due to member feedback?No way! They didnt want to lose any more memberships.Cancelled my membership immediately. Plus Bald Hill gym front desk and members not friendly. If I do go back it will be to PF Warwick Ave! Cleaner, friendly, larger!

This planet fitness is the best! The manager Krista is always making sure the gym is in great condition. I’ve never seen a manager that’s so in tune with her staff and guest. It’s so nice to be able to walk in a gym and be greeted by such friendly staff. Alicia, Josh, Byron, Jordan and Lauren. Not only are they friendly they are always there to help anyone needing it. The trainer Aaron goes around to ensure everyone knows how to use the equipment. Which is very helpful to old and new members. They always go way above and beyond. The best manager and staff I have ever seen at a gym.

This gym is good for what it is. A gym.I have not really had any issues with staff except for one. That was enough for me to look into another gym.Judgment free, well Ive been to other gyms before, like YMCA Apollo, Ive never felt like anyone has tried to judge me. I feel that sort of statement judgment free zone is to cater to anyone who has or may have a severe mental illness and feels intimidated by anyone whom looks in good shape.The gym is evenly priced with others, really nothing too special there. If you stop and do the math it comes out to about 10 to 20 dollars cheaper annual.They have enough machines, even with covid 19 outbreak. But unlike other business they will not provide you a mask even for a small fee and will ask you to leave if you dont have one.The gym is clean, as should be all gyms.They have shut off the reusable bubbler due to covid, and that is a bummer.Most the staff have quite a personality. Some are really hard workers and the trainers can point you in a general direction of where to start.The basic gym membership is not worth it. Get the black card or just dont go to the gym if money is that tight.24 hrs is great, but a lot of gyms are heading that way now. There are tons of gym locations but this is Rhode Island Providence Plantation, we dont really need a planet fitness in every town or city I feel.I gave this a 2 star review which is my personal opinion. You should never tell your loyal customers to leave your business. The policies in place for covid are ridiculous and fiscally restrictive and have created issues for all business. However forcing a person to wear a mask while doing any type of intense physical activity is as dumb as playing speed bump on I-95.The fact you ask people to wipe down your equipment is kind of obnoxious. I myself would prefer the employees do that to make sure that gets done instead if 2 - 3 people behind a desk just to scan in members. I feel that is very much pointless. Its a gym, not a vip pass to Rhode Island Providence Plantation best buffet in the state.Well I hope this help you people out. Get out there and get in shape.

Ive been to many gyms in my day, former bodybuilder, still going strong at 70. This is THE CLEANEST gym I have ever encountered! Most everyone cleans the machines before & after use. Locker room is immaculate! Staff is friendly & always cleaning the facility.Most members are using a cardiac /weight loss program. I tend to stay with my weight program. There are enough free weights for my program at my age, I am very happy with the equipment. True, no muscle-heads, I went through that mode when I was young, no more.Most members are quiet, but friendly. I usually focus on my workout, like most people here.All said and done, this is a great no hassel, no nonsense gym, and most bang for the buck! You cant go wrong with $10 month

Joined club in February. I am very satisfied with my choice. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I have a Black card and I love using all the amenities associated. There is always plenty of hot water during the busy times for showers. The place is clean everywhere.

In helpful will make you go through lengthy process to cancel if you move to another state. Will continue to talk money from accounts attached even after you have stopped going over a year. Terrible customer service. And to all that sign up so you know their is no way to cancel over the phone when every other business is able to they “can’t” because they want to keep taking your money for as long as they can.

This facility is by far the best that I have seen. Its very big and spacious, so you dont feel as though people are hovering. The staff is incredibly friendly, the equipment is excellent and the changing rooms/showers are always immaculate. I love that its 24hrs simply because my schedule fluctuates. I do wish they would extend the weekend hours, even if they opened at 6 a.m. instead of 7 a.m. Other than that, its a great place to workout!

Planet Fitness has recently remodeled and the place is gorgeous! So many new features, like THE AB ROOM! Also brand new tanning facilities, wonderful new massage chairs, a whole new staff and helpful new owners, Ann-Marie and Steve. It is state of the art! And of course, the philosophy remains the same, treating all with respect and dignity. No strutting around here, or hogging machines. Theres simply too many! Trainer, Pam Padula is eager to help with valuable information. Absolutely LOVE IT!💛💚💙

The new location is very convenient. I am so happy all the staff is still there. Especially Byron. Anyone who goes to PF Warwick knows who Byron is. He has a genuine way of making everyone feel like your his best buddy. I always say I’m not sure if that gym will be the same if he ever leaves.

I came here a few years ago from the Coventry one. This one is so much better. None of the equipment is ever broken as with Coventry there was at least 10 machines down at any time. Tanning machines here are top of the line. Its bigger and you dont have to wait to use any equipment. Staff is very friendly.

Dont come during 4-7 peak hours, otherwise decent enough for the price. All different kinds of people. Staff friendly.

I joined this gym in the spring and have consistently enjoyed working out here ever since. Its a large gym and I rarely ever feel like its over crowded because there is a lot of space. (They do have smith machines however my only con is that I wish they had a squat rack! perfect for those just starting out though) The staff is really friendly and helpful, especially Byron and Jordan who signed me up. Byron is there most of the nights I work out and he is always cleaning up, greeting everyone which is very welcoming & it seems as though he really cares about making a positive experience for everyone! I have joined other planet fitness locations in the past and always ended up cancelling my membership but I dont see that happening this time.

Angel is an excellent trainer he is patient kind and thorough, I would recommend him to others.

The place not clean, Employ used the same paper to clean the entire line of machine, dropped it picked it up and kept going guess she doesnt know whats going on in the world, oh also your payment will go up after few months, if cancel membership make sure call bank and black them because the will keep charging and you will not get your money back, manger very rude and unprofessional, and comport 0 help .

I love being there! I am a member since April 2018 and in 5 months I lost -26.4 lbs! I like the clean and quiet environment, the variety of the machines and helpfulness of the staff. If you like to work on cardio and weight machines, youll definitely like there!

I no longer live in Rhode Island but when I did this was my gym of choice. The location is convenient, the facility is nice and well set up, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. After a while I was able to talk to many of the employees there on a first name basis and they would always help me with any questions that I had. Definitely felt good working out here and I recommended it to any friends and family that were looking to get a membership somewhere.

This is the best gym ever. Its huge and always clean and the staff are all amazing. The manager is very polite and helpful and always helps me with setting up tanning and making sure its clean and ready to go. The hours are great because I can go late at night, which is the only time Im able to. All of the other gyms in the area have hours that dont allow for a lot of flexibility or have people in them that are annoying and try to be intimidating.Theres a ton of cardio equipment and you just feel comfortable there. There is no intimidation and the atmosphere is low key and not anxiety-provoking at all.I vote for planet fitness hands down. 12/10.

I go to this Planet Fitness regularly, about 3 times a week on average. I have had a good experience with the machines and the staff are helpful and friendly. The only problem Ive had was that I have had money stolen out of my wallet, and the only people in the gym at the time were myself, my wife, 1 counter service staff and a cleaning lady. Im not pointing fingers, but the only logical explanation was that the cleaning lady was in both locker rooms while we were working out, and when I left all the money (cash) was gone out of my wallet. My point is that they should educate all staff members on the finer points of respecting other peoples property. Other than this incident, Ive had an overall good experience over the last 2 years that Ive been a member here.

Its a nice place. The machines arent attended quite enough, but their basic functions are kept up. I did not expect it to be 40-55° year round.

I purchased the PF black card mainly for access to the Hydro Therapy Chair. Which is more like a lounge chair.I have two muscle issues; muscle tightness knots in my gluts and side stitches in my obliques...cramping/muscles spasms.my pain management dr and physical therapists over the past two years hasnt cured. I was in almost constant pain when moving. I have found a huge relief using the chair. Its the best type of massage for my condition..I also use the Body Enhancement light booth, which Im not sure if it helps yet because Ive just began my membership*** update 2/22/19. I went to workout without going into the body enhancement light booth. That was a huge mistake!. I was in so much pain today I had to stay in bed with ice packs. Never again will I skip it.** PF also has some good stretching machines that Im using to hopefully rid me of the muscle tightness..Im 58 with arthritis and out of shape which doesnt help matters. I feel comfortable there because Im not the only one in this category . My mid section is very out of shape.I found two machines that are not too uncomfortable for me to slowly strengthen my core.Theres two of almost every machine so most of the time they are available or if not very shortly.I cant walk without pain taking over, so after all that I head to the stationary bikes for cardio and cycle away while watching about six TVs at once using my headphones. It hurt my legs at first but I just stop relax and continue pushing myself further each time.Im beginning to feel stronger, more energetic in just one month. Its so worth the 22 $ a month..

Have been told by a few people that the regional for this gym, has been scolding staff day in and day out. Telling them they aren’t good enough to work here and that they can’t do anything right. Last week, he was scolded for saying something silly to the regional and her overreacting calling him out, belittling him in front of his staff. A new regional is needed for this club ASAP. Terrible customer service from this regional.

Clean and simple. It is a planet fitness. No frills just the same basic equipment that you find in pf everywhere.

I go to the gym at odd hours; this place is constantly open until the weekend and suits those hours. I like being able to bounce between various machines and stations, and in the off hours theres good availability for even the one-off equipment. In peak time, theres still usually some kind of cardio machine available and space for calisthenics. Expect to wait for the weight racks and benches unless you go during lulls, as theyre some of the most popular training tools there.

Staff was joking about how the assistant was written up by his regional manager saying how much of a joke and stupid this is. Then while I was working out and they were cleaning near me I listened to the assistant and another female talk about how big of a joke this place is. Why would I want to continue to work out here if you think this place is a joke. If your assistant and staff think this place is a joke and he thinks his write up is a joke why work here terrible customer service.

Love PF, but honestly, as much as the adverse suggest otherwise, this location has Luke heads galore. Not that the staff isnt trying to make sure they dont bother people. Staff members have gone out of their way to tell people off about it. But with any gym, they still exist.

I really like the people at this PF. I have a few issues, it is WAY TOO HOT! 73 is much too hot to be working out and the locker room is very humid. The locker room is a nightmare for handicapped people. There is a handicap shower

Went to the new one on Bald Hill Rd. Was told I couldnt keep my personal items with me. I didnt have a lock with me because I am use to the Post Rd Panet Fitness who have small lockers with built-in locks. I asked if I could keep my personal stuff with me this one time and will have to bring a lock next time. Was told NO that MOST LIKELY my stuff will be fine. REALLY???? I WONT RETURN TO BALD HILL ROAD GYM!! Go to Post Road Gym. Much better place!!

Had a terrible experience when I went there the workers were very rude, no help, and rushing. When I asked how to use the muscle massaging machine the worker tried to kick me out saying I wasnt a black card member when I had the card in my hand and showed it to them. They also had false advertising I signed up with this gym so my daughter who is 15 can workout and we got the black card but they downgraded her one month after purchasing saying that she couldnt get have the black card because she was under aged yet she had it for a month and didnt say anything. Lastly this company will ask for a bunch of pointless fees

This Planet Fitness suits all the needs of someone seeking cardio, with enough treadmills, ellipticals, and bike machines to satisfy those who go during the peak hours (right after work).I have to give a star off because I cant say the same for the weight lifting section, as Im waiting for one of the very few benches, or rope pulls. That I could pass off as my own fault for the time that I go, but the lack of a squat rack solidifies my 4 star.Still, however, a great facility that does its job.

The people in this gym have utterly no concept of gym etiquette, and the staff makes no effort to enforce it. Someone hogged the bench press while going to other areas during the busiest time of night, and the staff member I told seemed more interested in talking to a friend who was visiting. Meanwhile, Im waiting fifteen minutes to start my workout, and thank God it was the very first exercise.This is one of many incidents that convince me this establishment is based upon a cynical ploy of feigning body positivity, while really more concerned with memberships and upselling. A so called lunk gymtimidated (to use their own words) me and no one seemed to care!Additionally, the selection of weights and machines is laughable, even for a purportedly novice gym. Their membership model is nothing extreme for the fitness industry, in any case. Many gyms, such as work out world, offer no commitment contracts and limited down payments. Also, people who go to regular gyms are usually very considerate and humble. This company just takes advantage of the laymans projected self-consciousness, as in their feelings of being judged, and exploits it by claiming to offer an alternative that isnt needed.There is literally nothing Planet Fitness offers that genuinely compensates for their lack of equipment or cohesion if youre serious about pursuing fitness goals. They fail to even create a space wherein people arent subjected to inconsiderate behavior, much less judgemental behavior. The staff simply sit there on their phones or talk to each other or visiting friends and seem to feel nothing more than a perfunctory obligation to greet and say farewell.I reluctantly joined in 2016, and I quit today. I suggest you join me if youre in already or dont ever go down this path to start with.

Brightly lit, clean, well kept mechanically and friendly staff. TVs abound if youre a cardio doer; smaller, but equally well kept free weight section as well as the latest equipment - all at a reasonable price.

I have been a member for years going weekly and found out that the credit on my account expired, so I needed a new payment method. I found this out one night, as I was rudely denied entrance. I said I would put my new card on the account immediately, since I already drove and got ready to workout. I then found that my account was 7 months overdue, and that I owed not only the monthly fee, but also a fee for late/no payment. Mind you, I have been going here weekly and scanning my card with zero issues. Suddenly, I owe upwards of $200.I decided to simply go to the gym with another black card member as a guest, and used the black card benefits along with my black card holder since it clearly states that black card guests enjoy full access.I then go back months later and decide I want to have a membership again, and both the desk boy and what seemed to be the manager were very rude to me. Since my original membership was from a different gym, they started a new account. They required both a checking and a credit card ! I dont have a credit card, and I didnt have my debit card checking number. I decided to use my friends credit card as a back up and I was inquiring about if I could just put my debit card information in and have it charged that way - not using my checking number of which I am not familiar.The manager rudely told me that there was no way to do that, cutting me off mid sentence. I then said that I would just use my friends black card since we were meeting tonight anyhow. The manager then said I could not use the black card benefits ! I said that for almost a year, I have used the benefits as a guest, and he raised his voice and cut me off once again, saying that it was not allowed for a guest to do so. I calmly explained I didnt want to fight, I just wanted to let him know that Im disappointed.His dememour with me was deplorable. I was so offended that I simply said okay Ill just wait for my friend to arrive. He stared at me angrily and I felt very uncomfortable. Thankfully, my friend arrived, but I am very upset with this franchise. I am looking for other gyms to go to now, because I cant stand the employeess/manager. They not only failed to mention that my membership was invalid/not paid for months, but were rude about it !0/10 would recommend this franchise. I hope to find another PF or other gym I can join.

This location is permanently closed. I went there and saw all the equipment being moved out. The letters are not on the building any more.
