After 2 n half hours, multiple operators, frustrated, asked for a customer complaint representative. Half way thru trying to explain my problem, she hung up on me. Horrible service, horrible representatives, only land line provider or Id switch!
I would literally would rather step through a room full of Legos at night before having to deal with their customer service people. Only have 10mbps available at my house, but three of my neighbors have it. Waited two weeks for a tech to install when we moved in just for them not to show up, and now 4 years later I had to order and pay for an additional line because one line of 10 Mbps isnt enough. Waited a week for a tech to come, NO SHOW AGAIN. Called customer service and was told they didnt have an order for us, yet I have a confirmation email. Not only are we paying for two lines when we shouldnt have to, but the second line COSTS MORE!!!!! 100% go with someone else. This place is a joke. Also- how is it that a faster speed isnt available at my house, yet we can have two 10 Mbps lines??!! Neighbors have 20 mbps.....Doesnt make sense to me.
Terrible customer service never even got hooked up to internet, was hung up on 10 times in a week while trying to resolve the issue. Canceled service and ordered hughesnet. Stay away from this company it is worth paying more for a better company
Only good thing I can say about this company is it lives up to its name. Takes a century to link to anything outside your home network. Believe it or not, they charge ACTUAL MONEY for this service. They’ve got their technicians driving around looking busy instead of actually working to give you the speeds you pay for, which aren’t much to begin with. Surprised they haven’t been properly sued yet.
The worst customer service ever out of any company I’ve dealt with in my life. I had an appointment for a tech to come outand they never even showed up. When I phoned to see what happened, I was on hold for 55 minutes and I finally hung up because I couldn’t wait any longer. Then I tried their online chat with customer service and they couldn’t help me, they said I had to talk to a different customer service department about them not showing up for my appointment. and of course no one was available. So, I wasted my afternoon waiting for them to show up for an appointment they never showed up for and then I wasted another hour on the phone. I will never deal with them again, canceling service. Oh, and the first modem they sent me didn’t even work. Good luck getting through to them when you need someone.

1.5 hours on the phone to get someone to come out and fix the internet, and then when I go to check the repair ticket there is nothing scheduled. Go to call back and they tell me its pending and may not even be on the same day. This is the third time its happened. If only they didnt have a monopoly on the internet in rural areas. Avoid at all cost.
Where to begin. First they get us to pay for 5 MB of internet for about 5 or So odd years before I realized Ive only been getting 1 MB and they tried to claim theres no way because we dont even get that high speed of internet in my area. Theyre the only isp in the area and they know is so their absolute slumlords. The service is aweful no one wants to do their job. They spent several months digging up mine and my neighbors yards claiming well get highspped internet and they even sent out letters stating it would come July 17 2020 well when I called on the 20th they had no idea what I was talking about and made it seem like I was crazy even though I have the letter on my fridge. CenturyLink is trash.
These guys are the worst on price, customer service, speed availability, and stability. Just horrible.
Waited 4 months and our internet line is still not buried. Terrible customer service! There is a reason everyone hates this company! Waiting on hold for more than 40 minutes to try and talk to someone so that they will request to have it buried and then to still not have it done. The worst company!!

Worst internet company out there. We have had several outages amd customer service never gives us a straight answer regarding it. We have scheduled technicians to come out multiple times and they never show up.
Garbage company. Its been over a month since we tried to set up service. We had one visit, no temp line, and no one will call us back to let us know whats going on. Id give yall 0 stars if I could. Stay clear if at all possible.
Worst company and internet I have ever dealt with. If there were any other options in some outlying areas I don’t believe this company would even still be in business. I pay the same for “6” mb that more like 3 and goes down on and off every day that I paid for 200 and was consistent.
If you can avoid CenturyLink, do it even if you have to pay a little more. It will be money well spent.I called about a promotion that was ending. They like to play games with promos to lock you into service for a year. Called in and talked with a rep. They assured me that my promo would not be interrupted. Sure enough, next month the promo was not applied. $24 of free money to CenturyLink.I called in and they would not fix it at all. I asked for a supervisor and they forwarded me to a department that pretends to be supervisors in order to appease you. The supervisors cannot be bothered with petty customer calls.Jerks!
TERRIBLE customer service and frequent outages in our area. Do NOT recommend using them as your Internet provider if you have a choice.
Century link raises and changes their bills monthly. Their senior accounts manager is rude and disrespectful. When I questioned charges he said go to the web and review my bills and payments. He also said my services had been suspended when in fact I changed carriers. I tried for over a week to stop services at their store in town. It was closed and no information about when it would reopen. Accounts manager said you cant stop service at the store need to go online. He is wrong. Centurylink did not inform me I had to call Direct TV to end their services. I have paid an outrageous bill so I am again paid in full. I did this not because I owed the $ 463.00, but because I can not afford bad credit. Direct TV is wonderful to work with...CenturyLink is a poorly organized company with monthly hidden charges each month.
Horrible service. Go to Spectrum. Had it for 2 years... and the only reason is because they locked me in a verbal contract (which by the way they dont really tell you about). I pay 70/mo for spotty/non-existent service. Please stay clear and find another provider near you.
Literally the absolute worst internet provider. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS TERRIBLE SERVICE!! With absolutely no help, and terrible customer service! I was having issues with internet speeds (as usual) and decided I would attempt to get a technician to my house. After waiting hours on hold they came back to me and said my internet was fine because I still had a signal... my mbps was at .02!! Again TERRIBLE COMPANY!!
Every month I go without service due to the main box in my area being so the the techs say. It blows the circuit they have me connected on all the time. Its laggy all the time and if I reset then this happens. When I call I always have to wait a week or two for a tech to come and and literally do nothing but plug me in another circuit. As Century link answer is always sir u need a new modem Im sorry urs is bad. Me excuse me I just got it replaced last month matter not even 4 weeks ago. 20 minutes before this call I called and the fools said we are installing new line for u and the techs messed up and knocked out service theres a outage in ur area. So only I am effected cause all my neighbors still have it and we all use these guys makes no sense. On the 2nd call guy says sorry sir u were lied to there are no outage. These guys suck. Would give no stars but cant
Worst internet service Ive ever used, currently in an outage of over 24 hours and they keep pushing out the expected repair time by 12 hours.
Century Link is a horrible company. They are the only company that provides internet where I live. They didnt show up the first time to install internet and Im currently waiting to see if they dont show up again. Their customer service treats your complaints like you arent worth their time. I would recommend anyone to avoid century link if they can. They arent worth your time.
I have been having what they call bandwidth exhaustion with my internet service since July 2014 and I am unable to get anyone to do anything about it. Phone service is just fine. Internet was good until July and for the past 8 months has been unacceptable most of the time. I was given the name of an area plant manager whose voice mail box is always full and when you do leave a message does not return calls. Very frustrating to say the least.
I dont want to even give them a 1 rating! I cannot get through to anyone! I got cut off once. I talked to a customer support rep., he told me I need to call a different number for customer service. Didnt I just do that? I asked. Couldnt get a straight answer. Cant get any help.
Extremely poor service and customer assistance! I signed up for CentryLink back in August of 2017 when I moved into my apartment near the beginning of the academic year. The technician did not show up for almost two days. I honestly only signed with CenturyLink because no other internet service can provide service to my location. In addition I agreed with the company to set up a payment plan of $55 a month for WiFi services and the modem I never saw one bill online or in the mail. First bill came three months later for a total of $189 and claimed that I am behind on my payments! How can I pay the bill if I never got one in the first place? Not too mention from the original start date in August and November I had called customer service about 4 or 5 times inregards to slow internet performance, modem issues, and questions about my bills. Every single time resulted in absolutely zero help! One occasion I was on the phone for almost 45 minutes about modem issues and the individual on the phone sounded like they had no idea what they were doing!Around the end of February I received another letter with a bill for almost $289 and a disconnect notice. I called shortly after and was the on the phone for almost an hour and a half! Most of the time was spent being placed on hold being transferred between different departments! When I finally spoke with someone who actually cared and wanted to help we discussed a payment plan and way to delay the disconnection. But the next day I lose service and customer service told me they had no knowledge of my situation and or payment plan?! And that my bill is now currently $380!Eventually fed up and canceled my service with CenturyLink, the only silverlinning is that I have till June to pay back the debt before it’s passed onto a collection agency. But just as I think I can finally have this situation resolved I’m sent the return package for the modem, I have to pay for the shipping and mailing costs which is being sent to Kansas?! I live in Warrensburg and being asked to ship a package to Kansas for a company?! I absolutely refuse to pay for shipping and honestly I’m just going take the modem to the Warrensburg office and leave it for them to deal with.
Horrible horrible service, they got you by the short hairs as theyre the only service in Leeton,Missouri. The service is non existing. They broom you if you call in a problem or online chat is a joke. Service is a non English speaking person in Korea it sounds like a million miles away. Internet comes and goes. Called it in and still quits and works randomly
Been limping along on the 10MB service that cost more then my neighbors in the KCMO area who have 100 Meg connections. Got a cold call to sell me the 80 Meg service that they claim is in Wellington Mo Now... Scheduled for the tech to come out and hook me up... NO SHOW... called and talked to a rep at 1:00... She claimed they were out and about in the area and to hang tight. 4:00 I call again and the guy i am sitting on the phone with tells me ummm nope, she lied. There is a problem with the metro and local numbers and they have some kind of glitch and so no one was dispatched to fill the connection order??? NOT KEWL telling lies... Right?
Worst customer service experience I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing, and thats honestly all I could tell you because we ended up canceling before they completed installation. My roommate and I set up for them to install internet the day that we moved in. They never showed up. Oh were so sorry, we will have a technician see you tomorrow. Never showed up that time or the next day. We call for lets say the fourth time on a Monday. They tell us the earliest time they can have a technician see us is on that Friday. Mind you were not in the boonies or anything. Were in the middle of town and our neighbors have centurylink. The fact that an isp has such terrible customer service and is still somehow in business just goes to show how uncompetitive and monopoliess the market is.
Told me Id pay 45 a month come to find out they charged me 65. And my internet is so slow I cant even watch a show without it buffering every two minutes. Customer service is also terrible.
I rarely compose poor reviews: But Century Link has THE worst customer service of ANY service provider....i’ve seen some doozies- but Century Link takes the cake as THE worst.I write this only in the hope to save someone else from suffering these guys....

Techs have missed two install windows now and when I called to complain the lady just hung up on me...Now theyve missed three appointments and in an attempt to cancel my account they sent me two bills, one for $145 and one for $177. Still not sure what theyre even for since I never had service connected.
Single most shotty Internet you could waste your cash on. They force you to rent a modem for the same amount that you could buy the modem for 2 months. Thats not even including the fact it doesnt work half the time and when you call a tech guy to show up they say oh he came already and fixed your issue. Nothing was fixed. Terrible would rather get my Internet from a rock.
