You need 640 to rent… when it’s 580 to get a loan to buy a house.. let that sink in

The ladies that work here are super nice. When any problems arise they send someone out right away to check it out. Great place to help with finding a place to rent.

Both Katie and Danielle have always been such great landlords, always super sweet and get things done fast! The place I’m in is really nice and spacious. They’ve replaced some things that needed replaced and fixed my water heater when it broke and have always done everything in a timely manner. Overall a great experience so far.

Rented a townhouse on Polk St a few years back. The property was maintained to the standard of any other rental property. Never really had any major concerns or issues. The reason why I am giving one star is the customer service. The office clerk, Carol, who handles all of the paperwork, phone calls, etc. is extremely rude and belittles you. If I recall correctly, she is in some way shape or form related to the owners so there most likely won’t be a change. We were college students at the time and had to get our parents involved to get her to a somewhat level headed manner. There is great customer service and then there is Home Locators.... Buyer Beware!

I payed on time and cleaned up when I left. This was my second Home Locators rental with good experiences both times. Problems were always fixed in a timely manner. I’m a little older than the normal tenant and used the apartment as a temporary place to stay while my house was being remodeled. Thank you !!!!

These are quite possibly the worst people to do business with on the planet. Aside from being shown a different property than the one we leased, the property we did get was in this kind of shape. Quite frankly, its an atrocity. The pictures detail the condition our apartment was in on the day we moved in, after we were told that it was supposed to have been cleaned and the carpets were cleaned. I just wish I could have gotten a picture of the 1 of dirt accumulated on the air filter for the air handler.Within a month, my wife was in the ER twice in the span of three days with breathing problems caused by mold spores growing in the apartment. We suspect that it was growing in the air handler because of obvious water problems in the furnace room (see pictures). We had doctors orders to move out of the property, and asked the office to clean the duct work before breaking our lease. Ultimately, they decided that it wasnt their problem, and I was forced to move my wife out of state because she COULD NOT live in the apartment. Youll see in the last picture, about 40% of the particulate matter in the air of our apartment was mold.Oh, and to cap it all off, I got charged a $68 cleaning fee after moving out in addition to the state-required carpet cleaning fee. My advice: never rent from these people. EVER. Youll have no legal recourse to recover any damages they are clearly responsible for, despite the fact that they lack any compunction to do the moral thing, let alone the humane thing.

Id like to start this review by telling you about Carol. If youve ever had the pleasure of meeting Carol, you wouldnt be surprised if you heard she won the Olympic gold medal for terrible customer service. Doing her job seems like a major inconvenience and she is extremely rude over the phone. She acts as if everything is the tenants fault, and even gets her stories mixed up. More on that later. The other lady is nice, but doesnt really tell you anything about the apartments, just opens the door for you to look around. We signed for a lease with this company last-minute because we needed a place to stay for college. The complex looked alright, and the unit we were originally going to get looked great. We ended up in a different one, that was obviously not cleaned and had roaches. So we called for them to clean and spray for roaches so that we could move in. A couple weeks go by and the place is still uncleaned and the roaches are still there. So we do a little bit of our own pest control so that we can at least live there. For four months, we fought roaches until we finally took care of it ourselves, because they werent going to do anything but spray, which did absolutely nothing. We called for them to do more, but they would only have their guy come out and spray, which youd think after five sprays and no difference theyd be willing to accept that it was a bigger problem and they needed to bring out the big guns. Once we called confronting them about that, Carol didnt believe that we could still be dealing with roaches. She made up some story about how one of us brought home a gun cabinet and found roaches (My roommate and I dont have a gun cabinet so maybe someone else was also having roach problems, which wouldnt surprise me), and nearly accused us of being the reason that they were there, despite them being there before us.I will never sign a lease with Home Locators again, nor will I ever recommend them unless you have NO OTHER OPTION. Dont be like my roommate and I and ignore the reviews, thinking that its just the people who are the problem. Our current landlords are a thousand times better, and we have no issue with them, or them with us. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for apartments.

One of the ladies in the office is very rude. In the lease it stated that they would take care of the outside of the property I am renting. When winter came, the stairs, sidewalks, and parking lot were covered in ice and snow. I waited a couple days hoping they would come and shovel and treat it, but decided to give them a call after nothing happened. The lady on the phone was very rude and outright refused to do anything about it. I had to miss work because I would not get out of my apartment, let alone the parking lot. They will also call and badger you about your plans for the next year 5 months before your lease is up. They were calling my roommate and I every day sometimes 2-3 times a day. Each time we told them that we werent sure yet. Eventually they pressured my roommate into telling them that we would stay for another year. This company does not care about you. They dont care if something is wrong in their property. They just care about the money that they make each month.

Both women are extremely rude they dont let you know if the maintenance guy or another company is going to be in your apartment and when you complain they hang up the phone on you and refuse to answer or just dont talk to you about it. Terrible customer service and i would highly recomend looking for somebody else as your land lord.

Honestly, the apartment was just fine, but the service was terrible. When my husband called and asked about something for subletting to a friend, which they had agreed would be fine to do, they yelled at him and were very unreasonable when he asked for more details on the whole process. The whole interaction was completely unprofessional and extremely rude. The apartment was alright, but we probably would have chosen to move in elsewhere had we known how unreasonable and unprofessional the leasing office and landlords were. I cant say Id recommend signing on with them.

I just went to the office to ask questions and the office lady took offense quickly when I asked who the owners of the company were? The conversation spiraled quickly. I left feeling jaded and that was with one five minute conversation.

The woman that answers the phone in the office is extremely unprofessional! After answering a question which she acted put out she then hung up on me - no good bye - thanks for calling- nothing. I thought for sure this was a mistake so I called back. I told her we must have been disconnected because it did not seem like the call was completed. She says, Uh, Huh I said well thank you have a good day - good bye and she says. Uh huh - click Hey, heres a tip! If you dont like your job - look for another one. Your job is customer service... You are not doing them any favors - no wonder people are looking for a new place to live. Happy Friday!

I recently moved out of the apartment building on N Holden St. and it was the worse decision I could have made to rent from Home Locators. My apartment was infested with spiders so bad that there were numerous spider nest on my patio door and in my bedroom. Almost every night I had a encounter with enormous sized spiders. I notified the Katie the land lord responsible for the property I was renting of the infestation and they had the maintenance treat my apartment. The “treatment” did absolutely nothing. Even worse as many of the other reviews suggest was the attitudes and customer service of both Katie and the other female landlord. I am a prior service member that required a medically issued service dog. When I asked Katie the landlord of the process of applying to have my service dog approved to be on the property, (which they do allow) Katie was very short and rude constantly raising her voice and refusing to give me detailed information of the process. Katie and the other female landlord she works with have hung up in my face numerous times in mid conversation showing very little professionalism on ever phone call I’ve had. Another instance I had a friend of mine ask Katie the landlord a question on my behalf and Katie spoke to my friend in a very slow and demeaning manner and turned her back to my friend as if that was her way of cutting the conversation short. Lastly, neither Katie nor the other female landlord who work at Home Locators did a final walk through when my lease was up. However, Katie claimed that I owed Home Locators money for damages and replaced carpet through which she nor did her partner landlord make any effort to contact me other than a supposed mailed letter. It goes without saying that they stole my security deposit and refused to give it back. However, I didn’t press the issue further to retrieve my deposit because I wanted to be relived of any dealing with Home Locators. If you are considering renting from Home Locators please read the reviews before making your final decision. Almost everyone who has written a review about Home Locators has reported a negative experience that is mainly directed toward the unprofessionalism of Kaity and her landlord partner.(the obese/overweight woman) I would not recommend this company to anyone. There are plenty of more professional landlords with clean properties to rent from. If I could give this company zero stars I would.

If there was a moment were I can rate 0 stars on this review, I would. Carole Ford has possible the worst customer service provided here in Warrensburg. Below my review, as you can see, are recurring issues that cant be bothered to be fixed, repaired, cleaned, and negotiated by the tenets to the land lord. This is my second place to rent here in Warrensburg, and I have never had so many issues in my first apartment that I had with my significant other.I am shocked and appalled that she has yet to be sued for the amount of health code, and safety violations that I have read in the comments. As a word of advice, never rent from this place. The land lord/management will not repair a single thing and will make you pay every dime for something that is not clean.

The rent is cheap, the apartments are cheap, whatever. Thats fine and great if thats what youre looking for.Theres one woman that works in the office that is really lovely. The other one is the worst human being Ive ever had to deal with in a professional situation on a regular basis. She treats young people (who knows probably everyone) like theyre idiots. She acts like its a chore to DO HER JOB and that youre inconveniencing HER when you call about needing your toilet fixed for the 4th time when they havent done it yet. Were responsible leasers, we dont party, we dont tear stuff up, we keep things clean. No need to be rude.

I am currently a 23 year old college student living in a small town. I dont party and i have perfect renters history. I attempted to rent from Home Locators twice now and each time they have come back with some reason not to rent to me BEFORE i have even turned in an application. The first time i was trying to rent a 3 bedroom townhouse for 4 people and they tried to give us a story about some city ordinance that says in the case of singles and college students there can not be more tenants that rooms. Implying that if i was MARRIED to my partner there wouldnt have been an issue. Also, this ordinance doesnt exist. The second time i was looking into renting a house. Apparently Home Locators allows the owners of their properties to discriminate against who ever they want. We were immediately shot down because the owner refuses to rent to college students. I cant be too upset over this because i know that college students can be disrespectful and destructive, but we arent all that way. Furthermore, if i was a 35 year old college student i bet there wouldnt have been a problem, but because i am younger i get lumped into the i like to be loud and party group. Apparently home locators thinks its okay to discriminate based on age.Overall, i have wasted SO much time dealing with this company. A word of wisdom, if youre a college student dont even try Home Locators. They WILL find one reason or another to deny your application and then youve just wasted time and 30$ for an application fee.
