I had a wonderful experience today with Ben as my stylist. Full highlights and a cut that I love! Ben is so kind and compassionate. Tammy is absolutely the best at what she does. I only get gel polish and it last like acrylic. Also, the the vibe is so relaxing and welcoming. Definitely recommend.

I have been coming to Salon at 31st for just over a year and a half since I moved back to Virginia Beach… Monthly facials (Nicole is the nest🥰), biweekly nails and pedicures…The salon is always impeccably clean, everyone is very friendly and professional. They also carry my facial line that I use which us an added plus… by far the best the best day spa I’ve experienced!!

I went here for a massage so I can only comment on that service and the appearance. Im not much into spa environments buy my wife liked it, found it modern and relaxing. Masseuse did awesome job. My fave though was the chair massage with theragun. Best 10 minutes ever. Quick tip, pay with cash, and hope they have chang because its a 3.75% extra charge on credit cards.

This was my first time ever having a professional massage and it was by far the best experience. I’d I lived locally I would definitely be coming back frequently! Whenever I come back to town, I’ll be sure to stop in again!

It was my first time getting a balayage and i had a great experience there. helpful staffs, clean, and great work. everything was on point.

We had a 30-min hot oil scalp massage at this place. The spa is well-managed and has a really nice ambience, but the massage itself was quite mediocre. The oil wasn’t even warm, the massage was so-so and I could hear the massage therapist snoring (or making a similar sound from their mask) the entire time! That was a huge distraction!

I’m blown away by this place. I was visiting VA Beach for the first time and walked by this place. I went in cause I absolutely needed to get my nails and eyebrows done. I went in without realizing how late it was (I came in at around 5 and it closed at 6 🤦🏻‍♀️) I also didn’t have an appointment (again 🤦🏻‍♀️) but they were so kind and the receptionist tried to get me in for a full gel set and eyebrows and they were able to! Their persistence to get me in was just beyond kind and sweet. Then when it was closing time my nail technician was still doing my nails in a precise manner. That is wonderful customer service and when I left I was pleased and genuinely shocked at their fantastic customer service! I want to thank the team at Salon @ 31st for being so kind, warm, and inviting! Come here if you ever get the chance to and experience this delightful salon.

Last minute decision to get a pedicure, walked in just passed 9am and they were able to fit me in. Evelina did an amazing job...nails looked perfect and got a decent leg and foot massage. She was also pleasant to have a conversation with.

For my 60th birthday, my friend and I planned to go get a massage, then I was getting a facial and she a pedicure. It was all planned a month in advance so our spa time would coincide . Massages went great. The facial was not a pleasant experience and I was supposed to get a basic but was charged much more. I gave them a credit card to pay for both of treatments plus my friends. And my friend did the same,she gave them her credit card to pay for all the treatments. But instead of saying that my friend took care of the bill, they accepted both of our cards and charged us both. If it had been crowded I could understand. But besides the 2 of us there were only 2 other customers there. And the same employee took and charged us both. We are not pleased.

Went for Mani pedi for myself and hair treatment for my son. Tammy did a fabulous job on my nails. My sons hair treatment left his hair softer and hydrated, however his hair was not trimmed or styled.Very clean, very nice ladies working there.

ALL of the girls I worked with were absolutely amazing. I was made to feel like a princess. I could not have asked for a better team of girls to help me feel beautiful on the night of my engagement. I love coming here and getting my hair done by Raven! I have been coming here for 3 years since I moved to Virginia. Raven always does an amazing job and is very knowledgeable. I get hair cuts, Brazilian treatments, and now Keratin treatments. She explains the science behind everything so I am not left in the dark. Raven has so much experience and it shows. She really makes you feel comfortable.

My friend and I did the pregnancy spa packages and it was fabulous! Every person we met was very professional and nice. The massage therapists were trained to do prenatal massages and were fantastic. We left there feeling relaxed and beautiful. Definitely recommend and will be going back for more services and after the baby is born for another massage.

Kim was great! My first time going with a longer nail and I LOVE them. She paid special attention to detail and when she saw that I somehow clumsily scuffed my nail when it was drying (of course), she fixed it right up in a couple seconds. Will definitely be back when it’s time for a fill 🥰 💅🏼

I called to make two appointments for me and my niece and I was given a price. I was charged twice as much. The woman doing my hair burned my scalp badly with the blow drier. I have great hair and a blow dry usually lasts for me several days. The next day my hair looked terrible. This place is one of the worst hair salons. They burned my scalp, they did a real bad job and they overcharged me. Stay away from this place.

I booked a body treatment and pedicure for my friend who is getting married, and a pedicure for myself.My friend’s therapist during her body treatment kept saying, “oops,” during her entire service, provided no draping during the exfoliation, and left the room because she ran out of product. The shower was cold, the scalp massage hurt, and my friend was overall not pleased with the treatment. She did say her skin felt soft and the rest of the massage was fine (and she was actually draped during the massage portion).During our pedicures the nail files were visibly dirty and had obviously not been properly disinfected between clients. Single use items were reused between clients. Dirty tools were put back into containers and drawers for clean tools. Sanitation was questionable at best. The technicians kept leaving during the service and not coming back for what felt like eternity. Our feet were wrapped in hot towels and left until they were FREEZING. My technician’s fingernails were too long and kept scratching me. My friend’s tech (Tina) did a GREAT job though!Products were nice and the atmosphere was nice.

Made a last minute appointment for a pedi and reflexology; I havent had one since covid started. Pleasantly surprised by my warm water waiting for me and THE BEST pedicure Ive ever had. She actually took care of my feet. Also, the reflexology with a new gal, Ashley, was INCREDIBLE! I send all of my brides there as Im a wedding coordinator, but have never actually been there myself. Cant wait for my next pedicure!

I had never been here before, but decided to chance it. Best decision! Keiara gave me one of the best haircuts Ive ever gotten, I was nearly in tears at how she transformed my hair and it made me feel so good about myself. They have made a loyal customer in me, I will be going there for all my hair needs from now on. I understand each month has different specials but sometimes Life gets in the way and its not always convenient to go within a set amount of time. If they wouldve honored that I wouldve given them 5 stars.

Today my husband and I went to get a massage for our anniversary. The atmosphere and hospitality was wonderful. We were booked for a 90 minute massage and the therapists were late and ended early. However, we were only charged for an hour when we told the front we hadn’t had a full 90 which was very nice. Both of our massage therapists obviously were new or had very little anatomy instruction. I can’t even begin to explain the odd poking motions and movements she was doing to me. It was the most bizarre massage I have ever received. She went to my head and lathered it in oil and pulled my hair, I am not even sure of half the massage of what she was trying to accomplish. My shoulders leaving the salon hurt worse. The worst part was her nails were very sharp and hurt at times, I almost had her stop 5 times but I was trying to just get it over with. For those wanting a relaxing and thorough massage, I don’t recommend this place at all. Fortunately we are from out of town and my normal therapist can fix what wasn’t fixed from this.

My fiancé and I went to Virginia Beach for a getaway of fun in the sun. Well, unfortunately, all we got was wind and rain. After passing this salon the day before while we were out shopping, I decided to book a pedicure. Tammy took great care of me and they were able to get me in the same day.Their COVID protocol is on point, everyone wearing masks (and keeping them on) and they took my temperature upon arrival and noted it on a waiver I signed.Fast forward to the next day, still miserable weather and I wake up worth the most awful knot in my neck. I was staring down the barrel of a 9 hour ride back to Ohio the next morning and not looking forward to it with my neck in that state. My fiancé and I called around to a few other places and all were booked up. 31st was not so I made another trip there to see Jonna. Jonna was AMAZING!!! I can’t thank her enough. Through a deep tissue massage she worked the knot out and worked out all my other right spots and helped me get rid of the headache stemming from my neck ache.Upon checking out, I asked Michelle if there was any bath soak they could recommend to complete my evening of relaxation since I had access to a nice big jetted tub at the resort I was staying at. She pointed me toward Valerian and Hops bath salt by Kneipp and It was just the ticket. The ride home was pain free!Thank you to everyone at 31st for making a tourist feel welcomed and like a local!

Walked in on a whim for a pedicure with my partner on a vacation. So glad we did! Salon/spa looked very clean and fresh. Normally we would book an appointment but we hadnt planned on getting anything done. Thankfully, the staff were able to get us in right away for pedicures next to each other. Not 100% sure what our nail techs names were but they were friendly and gave us wonderful volcano pedicures. They also offered us a complimentary drink at the start of our pedicure and started massage chairs for us. For the two specialty pedicures we paid just over 100 which was well worth the quality of the treatment we received. We are going to visit again next year when we are back in town. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice relaxing experience.

Salon@31st street is a really amazing place. From the moment I walked in I was treated very well. The front desk associates are extremely friendly and wanted to make sure I was taken care of. I was receiving a 1 hour massage and did not know what to expect. I should state that I am a licensed massage therapist and my expectations are very high. Well the atmosphere at this salon is very professional and the massage room is beautiful. The massage therapist was very good. I dont like to talk during my massages and she allowed me to just relax and enjoy the experience. I would recommend this place to anyone!!!

Schedule and get to a deep tissue massage there fast! My mind is constantly going, so my rest is working out. Two days ago, I received a surprise gift of a massage there and Im still reaping the benefits of feeling extremely relaxed. However, I will advise that you clear your schedule for after the massage as well. I felt so relaxed that I was out for the rest of the evening. Lol.

I have thick long hair and getting a hair cut is often more a chore than a pleasure. Due to how long it takes to do it right. Im not super girly. However, Mr. Frederick Bond maded my year and pampered me like a queen. He has an amazing personality! It was like watching an artist create a master piece. He was so focused on making sure every highlight was in right thickness for my hair to make it amazing and my layers were to my liking. He took his time and did amazing highlights, layers, and the blow dry. Man had the patience of a saint blow drying my hair for almost an hour to get it all dry. This is the best hair cut I have ever had in my life. The fact that even my brother in law was like, wow thats impressive, speaks volumes. If you have long hair and want an amazing hair cut, Frederick is the man!!!!

Michelle helped plan a large group for a work event. She was incredible! Provided lunch and drinks and managed to schedule all of in one day. I have tried several salons in the area before deciding to stay with Salon at 31st. All of the staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable about their jobs, but my favorite stylist is Dervelle. He is a master stylist and just superb at his job. You can describe almost any cut or color and he is able to get the results you are looking for. I sometimes have to wait just a little to get an appointment with him but he is worth the wait to get his fabulous results. He is also a very nice person who genuinely seems to care about each of his clients.

This was a spontaneous visit I made after a very stressful presentation at the convention center.. and it was EXACTLY what I needed. Friendly staff, speedy service (they squeezed me in for a cut and color, both of which turned out beautifully), and decent pricing. If only I lived in the area I would make this my go-to salon for sure!

This is the only salon I will ever go to. Ive been going here for years to get fashion colors and fun cuts. I tried other salons before them and was always disappointed by how my color and cuts didnt reflect what Id asked for. This salon uses all the latest products and Ive never left disappointed. I get compliments on my hair for months after I leave. The salon serves coffee, tea and wine and theres also a sushi/hibachi place next door that will deliver to the salon. They also do an amazing job on the spa side of things and have a ridiculous amount of options for your nails.

I have been seeing Kelsey for quite some time now. She has never disappointed me at all. She is great! Kelsey is pleasant, courteous, and friendly. She is a genuine person. The staff is great as well! The salon is very welcoming.

Terrible guest service, front desk was extremely rude, a girl named Mandy I think, she claimed herself one of the managers, she was yelling to the customer. One other thing is that they don’t accept $50 bill. How ridiculous is that.

Destiny cut and colored my hair better than the stylist I have seen for years. She is friendly and even more important, she is GOOD. Highly recommended.

Visited Spa@31st yesterday for a volcano pedicure and it was awesome... Victoria was my nail technician and she was pleasant, professional and obviously talented, my feet feel great and are now in summertime mode (meaning I can where flip flops through October). Atmosphere has a super beach feel, they offered me a beer while having the pedi and the experience was a true 5 stars. Recommend to everybody.

Destini Bailey is an amazing stylist! She gave me a bubble gum pink peekaboo highlight with dark brown overall. She was so sweet and easy to talk to, and I absolutely loved my experience with her! The salon was super clean, and the front desk was friendly. I would definitely recommend this salon.
