I am upset that every time I go in for a treatment I am told a new piece of important information. For example I was told on my 3rd visit not to drink caffeine 4 hrs prior. On my visit on 8/14 I was advised that I have the most difficult type of fat and that I should wear compression garments all the time. The most recent treatment felt completely different from all the prior treatments. It was a little painful and I was very sore after. The tech was surprised to hear this. I now feel like I paid for 3 treatments and only really received 1. I also found out that the game is that the techs are supposed to get you to buy more treatments. I paid $3,000.00 for nothing! And I did everything I was advised to do: Exercise, eat clean and I drink plenty of water.

I cant rave enough about the Botox here. Id had it done at another place before, but the details matter and LightRx has the details! Over 30 yrs experience if I recall correctly, and you can tell the difference. I went in for what I thought I needed done, but thanks to a few small suggestions I came out and 3 days later looked about 10 years younger. She knows what you need, let her do her thing! Getting an appointment can be tough because of high demand for the skill level at LightRx, but its worth the wait. Once youve had a taste, you wont go anywhere else. 10/10 will go back again.

Tech turned up my setting on the second appointment and burned my skin. Tried to cancel my services and it has been a nightmare. Still haven’t been able to cancel and get a refund. It’s been almost 2 months now!

Its still kind of early. I have only had 2 sessions of the laser lipo. I will be patient and update my review as I see progress. Just not seeing any difference as of yet. But the staff is great!

The people who work there super friendly but the important thing is my treatment. After 6 treatment of laser hair removal still I have lots of hair. The Groupon deals were so good but never and ever waste your money or time. You can spend maybe little more in somewhere else but you could get better results.

I love Maria and the girls that work there. I will say im not a fan of the higher ups. My treatments have to be done every week for 10 treatments. So we set all of them. I have never missed any but they decided we need to schedule weekly . so my appointments were erased .now they are so booked up I cant get my last few in the time Im supposed to get them.

Each time I went I had to wait 30 or more minutes after my scheduled appointment. While waiting staff didnt give me an update as to when I was going to be seen. People who had appointments after me were being seen first while I was still waiting. Every time I called, I always got the automated machine saying to text them. Whenever I texted them they NEVER replied back. I had to call the customer service number for them to leave a message to call me back....

Had an amazing experience with Miranda during my laser hair removal appointment in my under arms. She listened to my concerns and was very thorough. Staff is always considerate and happy to help!

The staff is nice but their communication processes are poor. The laser is lower quality and not as effective as smaller salons. Would not use them again, recommend a reputable local small business community with someone who has a higher quality machine (i promise itll hurt less and produce faster results)

The staff at LightRX are both knowledgeable and professional. Going in, not knowing much about the services, I had a lot of questions. The ladies were patient and answered all of my questions. I was pleasantly surprised that I was not pressured to purchase additional services. I am looking forward to seeing how the results along with what I am already doing will turn out.

Clean Friendly and Punctual. I don’t like the part of having to wait more than a week in btw appointments. I don’t see treatment being effective if you have to wait so long in between

I have been here a few times and worked with Linzey. She is knowledgeable in this field and was able to answer all of my questions. Not to mention she put my nerves at ease during one of my procedures. Everyone at this location has been very nice and helpful. You can tell they enjoy their job. I’m so excited for the results that I see already!

Although the place is severely understaffed and have a terrible communication process in place...The staff was super friendly and professional!!! All starts are for staff only...I had eight sessions of the laser lipo with zero results. Please DO NOT waste your time or money on this place.

I am a former employee of Light Rx & would like to leave an honest review about what I witnessed in my short time there. The managers Maria and Erica are very unprofessional, have poor customer service skills & are dismissive to client concerns. I would also like to point out that most of the positive reviews you are reading were incentivized with free facials & other treatments they offer. In my time working at Light Rx I experienced the most hectic work environment. There is no training, Maria & Erica put you in treatment rooms with no prior knowledge of the machines you are using. They sell treatments to clients that aren’t going to benefit them, they train their employees to shorten the clients treatment times, they lie to clients about machines being broken because they are overbooked & can’t fit them in, call and cancel appointments minutes before the client shows up to fit another client in, They are so overbooked that clients who are supposed to be getting treatments every week end up having to wait 2-3weeks for their next appointment & when a client has an issue & wants to speak to a manager both Maria & Erica hide to avoid confrontation. On top of all that, there is no receptionist and we are told on multiple occasions not to answer the phone.This company is so money hungry & they cut so many corners that I honestly do not know how they are still in business. It is no surprise to me that they have a D- on Better Business Bureau. Light Rx does not care about their clientele & I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND spending your money or time here.

The manager at the Salon seems to be very nice, but I had a feeling during consultation that the technology (machines) at the spa and the knowledge of the staff is not up-to-date. After reading so many negative reviews on google, that verified my observation. I will not waste my time and money there.

I bought a Groupon for 6 sessions on an extra small area for laser hair removal. I chose to do my underarms and wow! After 2 sessions I can see a huge difference. The hair has already stopped coming back in some spots, so I can’t wait to see how it’ll be after I complete the full 6 sessions! I definitely recommend giving LightRx a try for laser hair removal.

The staff was amazing but if you just need to tighten your stomach skin, this is not going to do it. It was a 2k gamble, and I lost the bet.

In the beginning I didn’t know what to expect but once I talked to staff they made me feel so comfortable with the process. Everyone was so professional in the way they worked with me. I was completely satisfied.

The first treatment I had was extremely painful. The girl didn’t seem to know exactly how to do it. Then a few days later I was told they are no longer even doing that treatment.I was also booked for a series of 10 treatments which I paid for for something else. Each time I had someone else doing the procedure and they all did the procedure differently. It felt like they wanted to just get it over with. One girl I had to tell it was not heating up and she was saying no it’s fine. After a few times I said it doesn’t feel like last time and then she fixed it. I have a few more sessions I paid for so I have to go even though there have been no results. I do not recommend this place. VERY DISAPPOINTED

I recieved laser hair removal in some sensitive areas and they made me feel completely comfortable and had me talking and laughing the whole time so I didnt even notice the pain! Great staff but it is impossible to in touch with anyone to schedule appointment.

Always a long wait. Understaffed and/or not enough machines/rooms available. It’s frustrating when they constantly tell you to wait a minute and it ends up being a half hour. Either in the beginning of the appointment, while your in the room, before you leave to simply set up a new appointment or even on hold on the phone. Results are minimal so as long as you don’t except too much, you shouldn’t be dissatisfied as far as that goes.Their organizational skills are lacking for sure. Also, each technician tells you different things so their training can’t be from the same source.

... Sigh. I called and was quoted 70% off. I go and management & staff was really friendly. I signed up for 3500 worth of treatment that was only 10% off somehow. I have my first treatment & am following the instructions to the T. I work out 6 days a week, eating healthy, and drink at least 2 liters of water a day. The legacy treatment to melt fat in the inside upper area of my thighs has yielded 0 results. The nodules are finally getting smaller after a couple weeks of pain. But the fat pockets are still there. The treatment itself was very uncomfortable & the tech girl just kept saying it’s almost over. She kept pinching my skin when securing the machine to the area. She seemed to be rushing but she was friendly. The equipment does seem to be outdated. I am not going to proceed with the legacy & am skeptical about having a new treatment this Wed. I don’t have money or time to waste and wish I did more research & I certainly should read the damn reviews :( VERY DISAPPOINTED . Afterwards of course I found another place that boasts they are the only ones in this area that have the latest technology & of course LightRX does Not. Also the technology of how the procedures that I chose was never explained to me.... she showed me a few Picts and that’s how she gets you amped and ready to sign up. I can’t recommend this place. Do your homework ! I was sold also because they had so many customers coming in and out but don’t be fooled !Update: I’ve had 2 procedures, Legacy and Bliss=0 results. The results I do see are from my hard work of working out and eating healthy every single day. I’ve lost 10 pounds and my results are my results not from these outdated procedures. It was never explained how many procedures I would need, how the technology work, more importantly the side effects! I still have nodules in the inside of both my upper thighs and it’s been weeks since I had that procedure (very painful & swelling unbeknownst to me). I asked for a refund and of course we’re going back and forth because she’s trying to retain my services, I get it but I’m wasting my time. Going to talk to manager today!

I received my laser treatments as a gift from THE LOVE OF MY LIFE (LAS). He stated that he heard me and want to do something to assist me with my weight loss process. I was ecstatic jumping for joy and SO EXCITED to begin this process; with great anticipation, with knowing that HE LOVED me this much!!! He blessed me and now I have seen a reduction in my waist line with my 3 treatments. Everything was good as expected. I used a Groupon for hair removal and after three sessions Im already happy with the results. Clean, punctual, professional, nice people.

So I am at the end of my treatments. I have 1 or 2 left. I’m frustrated with my experience. Haven’t noticed any significant results & have followed the guidelines I was given but maybe it doesn’t work for everyone. It was hard to make appointments when I needed them. They only allow you to make 2 appointments at a time so sometimes I went over a week without a treatment. There have been several visits where my treatment was done and it took a while for someone to come and unhook the equipment so I could get up to leave. My last appointment I unhooked myself and got up and left because no one ever came back. If they were short staffed I would have understood but every time I am there, there are at least 4 or 5 staff members at the front desk. The staff are super friendly & treat you with respect when with you. The place is clean & bright. I don’t think I will do this again. At least not at this place.

Dont recommend wasting time or money here. To begin, the customer service is extremely poor. When I finally got a hold of someone by phone, I made the mistake of booking the first appointment of the day and was taken back late because they didnt open doors until appointment start time. Additionally, both times I walked into the office all of the techs were whispering with each other behind the front desk and didnt acknowledge me or other customers as we were standing there waiting to be helped. When they finally did, the greeting was: Name? No semblance of legitimate customer service to be found, and really I felt like I was intruding.The IPL treatment itself was a total scam--$300 for a single pass of the laser at an extremely light setting and she clearly missed spots on my cheeks, jawline, and forehead. At one point the machine seemed to need to be reset--she tried twice to go over the entire left portion of my forehead and after it didnt lase the second try she just moved on. She also never asked me about how it felt, explained what she was doing, or mentioned what was going on with the machine. When it was over she handed me a baby wipe to wipe off the goo, applied some sunscreen, and sent me on my way with no explanation for recovery care whatsoever. When I tried to leave a tip at the front desk no one was there.Least professional customer service Ive ever received, and easily the least meticulous IPL.

During business hours or not. I even tried calling while sitting in the lobby just to test it out and still no one answered.

Extremely unprofessional ! I bought the 8 treatment plan from them off of Groupon. Twice I had to wait 30 mins past my appointment time. Which they corrected and added 2 more treatments to my plan complimentary. This last time I told the lady after my treatment that I needed to schedule my next appointment. I followed her to the desk she told me I already had a appointment Tuesday April 6th 2021 at noon. I arrived 15 mins early to my appointment they checked me in and I waited until about 12:10 and they called me......Apparently There was another Megan. Turns out I never had an appointment The lady at the desk informed me that she had told me the other Megans appointment time and that she was sorry for my inconvenience. I asked her if she could fit me in but she said she couldnt get me in until.2:30 which I could not attend because of another appointment I had elsewhere. I was extremely humiliated because everyone in the waiting room was listening to our conversation and there was nothing that she could do even though it was her mistake and she completely waisted my time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE VB LOCATION!

The experience was lacking for me between 1 girl being rude and going around with her mask half down, to trying to have me use an appt. on a broken machine with 4 paddles not working. Also, aways scheduling issues and appointments needing to be so spread apart, so I got NO RESULTS after all of the frustration.

Getting a small non invasive procedure done which takes about 5 minutes, I have zero issues with LIGHT RX in another area, however I will be in virginia area for a few months and switched to this location. Extremely Poor communication. I have called to ensure my appt and the NIGHT before they rescheduled due to Low staffing and are unable to book me until 2 weeks out! I have been waiting a month for this appt. I plan all of days weeks in advance as im sure they do, and in order to quickly cancel my appt is extremely unprofessional. The scar itself is slowly going away (5 months in progress now) and worried that due to extended delay my results will worsen since I am off track.Frustrating.

Super kind and courteous! They moved schedules around and made personal sacrifices just to accommodate me and my schedule. I sincerely appreciate the considerate customer service and had a very pleasant experience. I will be returning for future appointments and will be recommending to friends and family.

THe atmosphere is friendly and the staff is very nice and knowledgable, however, I have not seen any results from my first 2 visits. I will refine and or revise my opinion after my final 2 visits.

My husband and I went here for our first time today! We were greeted with such a warm welcome and excitement to share with us all about the treatment we were getting. I was on crutches and they were all so patient and sweet with me. I met the new Assistant Manager and she was so warm welcoming. We also had the pleasure of meeting Dolly the Executive Director, she was so wonderful to me and my family, I instantly felt nothing but great energy coming from her. Any questions my husband and I had for her, she took her time with us, even though they were VERY busy. She listened when I told her all that I had been going through and she truly listened and cared, I couldnt thank her enough for that! The Estaticians that did the procedure on me were amazing also, so kind and professional, always walking me through everything and asking how I was feeling through the process!!! I couldnt say enough about this establishment. Just went for my first treatment for hair removal on my back. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The whole atmosphere eased my nerves as the staff was very positive and upbeat. I have many more sessions to go and feel much more comfortable now.

The ladies are very nice . When I go in there I feel like family. I have gotten good results from going there. I got Botox done their for first time in my life. LightRx is a clean and professional laser-liposuction, contour and IPL Facial facility.The personnel are attentive and awesome but they try to stick with their 10 minute late rule due to the many customers they support. Yet even if you run late, they are considerate of customers that exceed the time and try to fit them in same day or reschedule.On My first visit, I met with Maria who explained procedures, & patiently answered my questions. I’ve referred many friends and As long as Groupon is offering discounts I will continue to travel to Virginia Beach and visit the ladies of LightRx.

Scheduling one appt at a time is very inconvenient, especially of your looking for the same day each weeks, its impossible to get an appointment the same day each week.

I was originally going to give them 5 stars in the beginning but something happened that changed my mind. I orginally enjoyed my experience with tiffany and some of the other staff. I had a situation in which on nye I had an appointment in which they left me in the room by myself and I had to move the lasers by myself. WAS NOT PLEASED at all. BUT when they called to discuss their packages I explained to the young lady what happened and she immediately gave me a free treatment, which was to be expected. the problem is that I am not certified to move the lasers they are. I actually slightly burned myself moving the laser which was explained to her. Dont get me wrong majority of the staff is attentive this was just bad business. anything could have happened to me and all I received was an apology and a one free treatment. unbelievable. Hope this helps anyone.

It was great at first, but I did the 6 treatments and there’s really no big difference. I was told I would only need 8-10 treatments. Also, I go to a new place now: they informed me this LightRx name has been changed many times because it had to keep rebranding itself because it wasn’t a good place. The ladies at LightRx visibly aren’t all trained the same, I noticed. I purchased the Brazilian and they weren’t getting “the Brazilian”(no thigh or crack action). They said that stuff was extra. Huh? Also they kept attempting to sell me a package for $1300 for 10 treatments, when it does NOT cost $130 a treatment for laser hair removal. They also made me come every 6 weeks, when I should of been coming every 8 weeks. SMH. It was also a new technician almost each time, so how were they REALLY keeping up with what laser settings to put the machine on. After the 3rd treatment, it was painless. Do NOT recommend this place. Other places locally are around that know what they are doing in regards to what a Brazilian is AND correct laser settings, for black skin.

They got on a guy for being late and said they gave his appt away to someone else even though he called and said he was running 15 minutes late. Apparently 10 minutes is the cut off, bit they ran over 30 minutes late for me.On the consultation I asked could I think about it and they said no that these black friday deals were only today. Then a friend tells me they booked the special on Monday. I also find them way cheaper on Groupon.My first session of IPL did nothing. I realize its only the 1st session, but from everything you read your dark spots should get dark and your face a little dry and a little redness immediately after. Nope none of that.

I have had 2 Venus Viva treatments done here so far and my results are phenomenal. I couldnt be happier. Both times I had someone different do my procedure and both girls were so nice and very personable. Very clean establishment and the office manager is the sweetest woman Ive ever met!

The technicians were nice. I was always serviced right away. I just wish I received some type of report of my progress at the end.

I bought a Groupon for 8 sessions in July, it is now Late September and my last session will be in October. I wish someone would have told me to expect 1 appointment every 2 weeks. I wanted to get this done within a month. They are WAY over booked and cannot take the amount of clients they are booking. I am highly disappointed it has taken this long. Initially I was going to book more appointments because I was told 12 would be better to reach my goal but at this point it’s not even worth it. Never booking here again and would NOT recommend to anyone. The staff is nice but at times they were rushing and forgetting I was in the room.

I’ve been coming to LightRx for awhile now. The service is amazing. The ladies are always so pleasant and answer any concerns that I may have. The office manager Marie is wonderful. When I leave a message for an appointment she always calls back the same day and is able to get me in quickly. I have recommended LightRx to family and friends. LightRx has given me back my confidence I once had lost.

About a month ago I had reached out to LightRx because I had moved and could not follow through on my services, the receptionist had the most disgusting disposition and I had to reach out to the 800 number to have them email the manager because she did not return my calls. When she finally called me back she was apologetic and said she would refund me but it would take about 14-21 days. Today I decided to call the financing company and they informed me they had never received any request for a reversal. Be very careful about this company, the clinicians are great but that’s where it ends

I have PCOS so they were very upfront about my laser hair removal not being guaranteed, and though I have regrowth still it slowed down significantly to where I’m not shaving every day any more and more like every 3 days after just the first treatment. Second treatment I can push it to day 4. I’m excited to see my future results!

Went to LightRx for a consolation everything went as expected. I got signed up and booked. My first appointment for the next day. The staff was very pleasant from start to finish. My further appointments were booked with no problem. This is a place I would recommend to anyone who is thinking about tightening up your skin or reducing cellulitis to any part of your body. Great results when you follow the program.

The laser hair removal is not effective and I didn’t get any good results here compare to the other place that I used to receive my treatment. Friend of mine came here and she wasn’t happy with her treatment either. Don’t waste your money here

The staff was great, they treated me with respect, they were very professional. Thanks Adriana for having great customer service and bedside manners! The downside to it is, I dont see a difference from when I started 5 months ago. Theres no tightening of my abdomen as shown in pictures, I still have excess loose skin. My diet didnt change, nor did my exercise regimen. Im not at all pleased with procedure. I would not recommend it.

I love light RX, Virginia Beach, VA. The staff is very encouraging, supportive and understanding. They are patient and professional. Also they keep a smile on my face. As far as results, I have seen major results on my inner thighs after receiving Venus Legacy. I also received Sculpt on my stomach which I believe eliminated stubborn fat in my abdomen area that I couldn’t have worked off completely on my own. I would recommend the treatments and this location to any and everyone I know!

I’ve been going to this establishment for some time since it was Premier Laser Spa and today was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The tech I had today was absent minded and wasn’t considerate about my comfort. She wanted to get me done as quickly as possible and I think that was to my detriment. I make sure not to spend time outside exposed weeks before my appointments because it affects the treatment and how the skin responds to the laser. I haven’t taken any antibiotics or nor am I on my cycle. These questions were only ask when the tech sensed my discomfort and reaction to the laser. The redness and swelling will happen on occasion but I’ve flinched several times and the take would just say “it’s almost over”. I think this establishment should look at the care and consistency of the quality their “aestheticians” handle their instruments and clients. She didn’t even offer Aloe Vera or cortisone like previous aestheticians I’ve had. Not even sunscreen!!! As I write this, it is 2:00 pm and the sky is clear and my skin is exposed and damaged. Luckily I carry sunscreen on me for protection but the lack of forethought and consideration is mind blowing.

These people burned me never came into check on me and after suffering 3rd degree burns had the audacity to tell me thats what I signed up for. Very heartless and unprofessional. Careless and negligent now Im permanently scarred.
