Extremely displeased with this company! Vehicle was towed from the oceanfront labor day weekend and was unable to pick up car until after the holiday. No where on the website did it say they would be closed, as a matter of fact it states its opened 24 hours. When I spoke to Katie on the phone she did not inform me that the company would be closed for the holiday. When I called the following day to make arrangements to pick up the car, then I was I told I wouldnt be able to pick until Tuesday. I was also told that I would also have to pay storage fee. Long story short I had to pay the 145 for the tow plus 75 administrative fee a 40 storage fee and other fees you were not told. It ended up costing 340 dollars to get my car back. I will be calling the state attorney and the news on this racket they have going on.Piss poor costomer service.
My sons vehicle was towed by Road Runner after he was arrested. I tried to retrieve the vehicle on his behalf and was refused. Asked for the owners full name and managers full name. I was told the managers name was Katrina but the individual I spoke with did not know Katrina’s last name. The person told me Katrina was out with Co-vid 19. She asked what did I need Katrina’s last name for. I explained to her I was going to summon the owner and Katrina to court. I then asked her, her name she refused and she would be disconnecting the call. Before she disconnected the call. I told her Road Runner is only a tow service and how dare they hold my sons vehicle in their possession when I tried to retrieve and had monies to get out of the impound. My sons arrest had nothing to do with his vehicle and not in police possession. I will be reporting to State Troopers office and the Attorney Generals office and having them summons to court. They picked the wrong person to challenge.
They were called by VBs finest for vehicle retrieval, they lost or didnot include the car key to my insurance company when they released the vehicle. RRT probably still has the key!Idc about the state of the vehicle after tow, i do care that they lost the key. Pink expandable ring.
Great place to work new ownership.
Got a tow from Road Runner through my CarMax roadside assistance. Both the office and the driver were both friendly and professional, which has not always been the case with towing companies. I recommend them if you need a tow.
Encountered this company on my way home from work on a Friday afternoon. They were apparently responding to a state police call. The driver of said tow truck VERY aggressively drove up behind me (did NOT honk or make his presence known in ANY way) and then next to me. I didn’t even know he was behind me until I double checked before I merged off the ramp into traffic! He was so close if my arm had been out of my window it probably would have been detached from my body. I immediately stayed where I was (couldn’t really go anywhere anyway) and watched this driver aggressively then back up into traffic, then swerve around me almost hitting my vehicle for a 2nd time and then proceeded to almost hit another vehicle trying to get out of his way as he swerved around half on the shoulder half in a lane. I immediately called the company to report the behavior and got “christa” who promptly told me “he is responding to a state police call” when I informed her I understood that but that didn’t give him the right to drive like he was. I was then hung up on. If I ever need a tow...well I’d push my car before I called this company!!
Good people.
Fast, easy, polite, service
