The tow driver Mathias towed my car without identifying himself. Once we got to my destination that was less than 10 minutes away he demanded $180 for the tow. I told him it was included in my insurance plan and at that time he said he was called by the state trooper. I said no I didnt call and wasnt paying. He became belligerent and called the police on me. I asked him to hold off while I call my insurance company and he said time is money and was going to up the price by $72.50 for every 15 minutes he had to wait. Just rude and unfair business practices. I feel like I was extorted.

These guys do not know how to tow, i recently bought a new car but wasnt able to get a sticker from my apartment since i work long hours in between office times, but come and behold my car got towed, A brand new 2017 civic si, fresh off the lot. The towing guy said it was from the lift rollers but on the other side there is no damage, what i know happened was, they did not lower the bar low enough to go under my car and hit the lip. This is information from other neighbors witnessing what happened. I also had to pay the 145$ fee release. I will be contacting the manager for insurance information to get this fix and for reimbursement for the fees. Do not let these 2 men tow anything, they do not know how to tow cars, and will damage it more than anything. Ill be posting on further damage if i see then later.Update 8/25/2020Its been 3 years now and i can still remember the smell of marijuana from there tow car, when they showed up to open the lot when they damaged my car towing it. The place has no standards and never got anything from the damages they did.If you want people Getting HIGH on the Job, Towing Your Car (And Damaging it) You got the Right People.

Their number is incorrect and I can not get a hold of them to get my vehicle. The website says open 24 hours but they were not open when I arrived at 5:30pm. The number posted on the building is for people looking for work not an office number. I need to figure out how to get my vehicle so I can start the repairs.

Literally the worst place ever. If you wanna wait outside of the tow yard for an hour this is the perfect place for you. Horrible customer service. Rude. It’s bad enough you towed somebody’s car, and now you have to wait a long time to pick it up? Do better.

Trash customer service been waiting outside for more than an 1hr and the guy stated that he was owner (jack) was cussing my fiancé out going back and forth. So unprofessional hope they close the place down or something.

My apartment complex parking lot is a decal only lot. The one and only guest decal I have was posted in my boyfriends car, yes the decal was tattered but the date was still visible and legible. These people towed the vehicle anyway then proceeded to go into the car and remove the decal. When I called them the woman had the decal in her possession! I didn’t even know they had the right to get into your vehicle! They gotta do better definitely unacceptable!!!

The driver was so rude. There’s no need to treat anyone with disrespect. I understand the frustration of people being mad about getting a car towed but you don’t have to try to fight someone or be intimidating to start a argument with someone. For a driver to seek out a argument with Someone is bad for business. Jacks towing is a good place when you need them for sure, they just need to do a better job on looking at who they hire. A good business should not employ someone who wants to seek out hostile environments for their own satisfaction. This driver definitely wanted to assault and argue for nothing. I would not recommend jacks for private business anymore.

Hope u never get towed by these people. Waited over an 2 hours on a Friday night to no avail. They never showed up so that I may pick up my car. Came back next morning on a Saturday around 10 am. They showed up 1 and a half hours later and finally got my car out $145.00 later! They have no regard for your valuable time.

When my tags expired on my vehicle, it was towed by this company as they work with my apartment complex. Of course it was my fault for waiting to renew tags, I called with no answer and found that the phone number was wrong on google. I was able to call the different number with a quick answer and a sweet lady explaining to me where I need to go and how to pick up my vehicle. Once I got there we called, the gentleman said it would be $150 and that they will be there once a driver is available. We waited about an hour and nobody showed up. I called again and they seemed to have a misunderstanding, anyways they quickly came short after and the gentleman on the phone was very apologetic and I was taken care of quick. I don’t like that my car was towed but hey, can’t be mad for them doing their job. I would’ve given a lower rating due to the wait but they were nice and apologetic.

Called 3 times for a tow of someone parked illegally. The first time was awhile ago the next 2 times were recently. They never showed up all 3 times.

They tow your car away and then you still have to wait an hour in front of their office to get it back, terrible customer service for sure !

Awful people, everyone I dealt with. My car was towed from an apartment complex where I had arrived late and could not find parking on the street within 3 blocks and the office was closed so I left a note on my dash with the car backed into a spot and my parking break on because its a manual. There were and always are lots of cars without a parking passes or a note in the dash. Why tow my car? If you had taken the time to check if my car had the parking break on you would have not bothered with my car because its extra work to put dollies on and they could have seen the note with my phone number and the apartment that I was in. ( Inconsiderate and not doing their job correctly) My car was towed without using wheel dollies and I know this because I have a dash cam. When I went to pick up my car after calling several times to get an answer I was told where to go to get my car and the lot attended was 30 minutes later than he said he would be and he would not show me the paperwork showing that dollies had been used. Me and my girlfriend were late to work. She got fired several days later because of it and it ruined her because she loved the job she had.My car had to be inspected the next month and sure enough my rear break pads were just barely under spec for passing so I had to pay for new pads even though I was just inspection it so I could sell the car I loved and have never had a car so nice before only because I needed the money to survive. So they burned up my breaks and ate up my rear tires just because they dont want to get out of their truck to check to see if they are doing their job correctly. Just another example of beating the poor man down more. Cant even do your job right. Messing other peoples most valued material thing in their life and costing them more than they should be. If I had the time and money I would take them to court but what poor man had the time or money for that?Dont ever give these people any respect because they dont give any at all.

I had to write a review, since people will only write bad reviews for this type of company. While I was not happy that my car was towed, I recognize that its not the fault of Jacks. I was in the wrong, and unlawfully parked, so I was towed. Once I called and got ahold of someone, they were fast, friendly, and easy to deal with. The driver I worked with even offered an alternative location to legally park nearby the location from which I was towed.My only complaint is that the Google address for Jacks took me to 185 Mac St, which seems to be a storage lot for them, but the actual office where I paid (and where my car was) is located at 1114 Harmony Rd. Additionally, the phone number posted at the apartment complex from which I was towed was an inactive number, but I dont think thats on Jacks...that is probably on the leasing office. Just took a quick Google search to get the right number.TLDR: Im not happy I got towed, but I was in the wrong so it was fair. Staff was quick and helpful once I got in touch.

I had a pretty nice experience with this towing company. Butch was the operator who towed my motorcylce to and from my apartment and he is an interesting fellow to talk with and allowed me to watch the entire process. The office attendant was nice and informative over the phone the day prior to me picking up the bike. My only complaint is that I couldnt interface with the office attendant face to face because the gate declared entrance was locked leaving you to call the office that you are literally ten feet away from, which isnt a very personal touch. Maybe because its a Saturday?

Tow driver telling at his lot manager he doesnt get paid to work for free, along with other things, while Im standing in the office just waiting to pay. ( I was there before him and obviously was there to give them money) The whole office is a mess. The woman who answered the phone was short and still laughing at her other conversation. Not professional. I suppose if your looking for a budget tow company that doesnt give af, you found the spot, but I didnt want my car there. Lot manager was nice enough and trying to do his job. I wouldnt call them for work.

During social isolation, they out there towing when nothing else is open to take care of whatever you getting towed for. Dmv is closed! Auto shops are closed! People cant even go to work to pay bills they adding more stress and taking advantage that people are quarantined in their homes. They place the blame on the apartment complex and vice versa. Smh

No answering system, but you need to call the Norfolk office for most anything anyways. Man I worked with at the lot was courteous and timely helping me get a vehicle for our shop.Had a personal car here awhile ago too and didnt have much trouble getting it back (even on a Sunday).

Its understandable that they are only doing their job, however my first experience with this business was awful. Upon retrieving my Prius one night the hazard and brake light would not turn off I spoke with the guy and he argued that it will eventually go away. The light kept coming on and off; so few days later when it was time to service my Prius I had to spend a couple hundred dollars to repair my E Brakes.My second experience was with my civic, I nor the friends who lived in the complex was aware of decal parking. When I visited i always parked in the exact same spot for months. When I arrived at Jacks no one was there to open the gate. I called and was told a driver will be there in 20 minutes. They were not, I called again and was told he was around the corner. He was not, third call I was told the driver went missing and there was another on his way a hour out... I waited outside of a gate for 4 hours just to get attitude from the same man who told me my prius would be okay. My civic had scratches and the splash shield was hanging off.Recently this month, I watched them tow my neighbors car, whom has a visitors pass in her windshield, then return their car 10 minutes later as if the car did not have a pass nor was sitting in the designated parking.

While I understand these guys are trying to do their jobs, I absolutely hate tow truck companies in general. Had a terrible experience years ago with a different company, these guys are no different.I swung by my apartment earlier today to retrieve a package I was to deliver; it was parked with hazard lights and I was alone. I came down to my truck when I realized I locked myself out, forcing me to get the spare key from my home. It was less than a minute later that I came back to unlock my truck when it zipped around the corner of the street. I made a mad dash for it - my wallet and phone were still inside! While I am thankful the driver stopped to talk to me, he demanded $25 or pick up my truck at $145. When I told him I didnt have money on me and my belongings were inside ON TOP OF an appointment that I had within 15 minutes, the driver kept saying I was just making excuses! Eventually he did give me back my truck at no cost and a warning, which I am thankful for. However, it still does not excuse his attitude toward me - just like the last incident I had, rude attitude and not willing to listen to what people have to say.

This company is crappy. I just move to a complex and they towed my car saying it was parked illegally. I told the lady it was in fort of my house. She then said I didn’t have a sticker. NO ONE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD HAS A STICKER!!She then said I would have to call management to get my care released. After I said they were closed she said I’d have to pay $145 but they towed my car illegally. So now the lady I rent from has to call management. The lady on the phone wasn’t rude but she also was no help.They are willing to let you pick up at any time however when they illegally tow something then want you to pay is just not worth it. I will be calling my lawyer.

Tow without warning. Just a bs company. Info on file with apartment complex but still tows with no information left behind for owner of vehicle. Even with complex calling to explain the situation, no reimbursement or solution to the issue. Just pure sh*t.

Ask one of the employees a question and he started arguing with me over a simple question.One of the very first things tow truck drivers are taught, is not to tow with the drive wheels turning with an automatic transmission.Talked to the driver that towed my truck, he admitted he didnt use a dolly and truck was not a flatbed.Didnt argue that I got towed, was not parked correctly for couple hours.Will see lawyer during week, aee about having a document written up so if transmission has issues the court will know when it was towed and rolled on the driving axel.

Hands down the worst business I have ever dealt with... on vacation at a friends house and parked in the driveway. We heard some commotion and went outside to catch Jacks towing hooking up my car, I immediately asked what happen for them to tell me that I’m being towed for no plates... it’s a brand new car parked on private property in a driveway. I immediately told them that was theft and I was calling the police. Driver unhooked and drove off. When the police arrived I made a report and will co to us to follow up

Absolute worst service. When we arrived there was no one in the office. We peeked outside and saw the woman was finally coming back so we left the door open for her and she proceeds to yell at us for leaving the door open while the AC is running and slams the door shut. She had a nasty attitude the entire time, which is ironic because there are so many inspirational quotes printed out and hung on the wall about negative people. Office staff represent the company so hey I guess shes the perfect fit.Also, we were certain we parked in the correct spot at our apartment complex, so we asked this lady for the photo of proof and she, of course very rudely, told us we would have to contact the head office in Norfolk yet we still had to pay the $145 to release the car before we even had any proof we were rightfully towed. We went through this big ordeal to get a photo when in fact they never even took one and will be refunding us our money.---After numerous times of asking why our refund had not been delivered, they kept pushing back the delivery date over and over again until we got our office involed. All of a sudden (after being told our check was already mailed out) we are told they will personally bring the check over the weekend. The check was dated on that day and of course was never mailed out.

I’m only giving them 1 star because there isn’t an option for zero. they towed a car for expired registration & it had an up to date registration. we showed up to get our car, an associate said that it would be 5-10 minutes for a driver to show up. we waited for 1 hour & called at least 10 times. no one was answering any phones for one whole hour. we left & complained the next day about what happened & they offered no customer service at all & still charged us an extra day even though they wasted an hour of our time.

My car was towed by accident when the parking lot of my building was being repaved. There were no issues getting my vehicle back, but there were issues finding the place. Its a hole in the wall surrounded by what looks like a jungle. It was horrible!!!!

The booth seats were so ripped it hurt to sit on wearing shorts.. food took a long time for 2 people and wasnt even the right order. they werent busy at the time.
