I called Barker at about 4:15pm on a Saturday afternoon and they arrived at 5pm same day. Jason was polite and effective ~ we have A/C again! We also signed up for the Worry Free Plan which saved us some money and hopefully save us from the loss of A/C again. Highly recommend these fine folks!

Noticed A/C went out at 5:30PM when arriving home from a long day. Called Barker, they were here in 30 minutes, diagnosed and resolved the problem, performed the repair and had our house cool in no time! Met with Jeff at Barker Air in Sebastian in regards to my air conditioner not functioning properly. The issue was swiftly diagnosed and he laid out the best plan to repair the unit. He ordered the parts, contacted me back when they were in stock and setup the installation in a professional manner. Zack the serviceman arrived at my house at the scheduled time on a Saturday and conducted the repairs. He was very friendly and even took the time to educate me on how some of the systems parts function. I learned more from Zack in a few hours than in years from others. I like to know how things work so I was appreciative that he entertained my questions. All in all a very professional crew that I will use again when the need arises. A+++++

I met with one of the owners who spend a great deal of time with me explaining all the options on replacing the A/C units in my Condominium. He was extremely courteous, knowledgeable and patient with me. We agreed in a contract and he delivered everything he said he would on the exact day he promised. His technicians were just as courteous and knowledgeable as he was. It’s a family owned business, and the corporate culture comes through “loud and clear”. Everyone strives to be respectful, give great work, and make sure their commitment’s are honored. I would never use another HVAC company in Florida. I have recommended them to several other friends. All have thanked me enthusiastically after they used their services.

Technician was polite however, I did not feel he was very experienced. My opinion, I received questionable advice when told my a/c filter should be changed monthly. I have been a homeowner for over 40 years and was never told this frequency was necessary. Fact check - every 90 days and A/C companies usually recommend 45 days. A concern for those on a budget. He asked me the size of the filter and when I last changed it (several weeks ago). He did not check it even though I had taken a ladder out in anticipation he would, since previous maintenance people have done that as part of the call. He looked up at it - it is about 8-9 feet high with a thick vent - and said it looked clean. He was polite, as I said, and well groomed. I did not feel especially confident after he left. The price was higher than I have paid with my last A/C go to company, but reasonable. My regular company was not in service, hence my call to this company. I am interested in honest, knowledgeable companies who are interested in customer service and thorough services. I am chalking this up to a possible inexperienced technician. I do feel he was honest, certainly a plus. It was my first experience with this company.

Our AC stopped working on a Saturday evening and they had someone out to our house in an hour and a half. The guy was super professional and fortunately for us it was an easy fix (clogged drain 😒) regardless, Im just happy they showed up so fast and fixed the problem so we didnt have to live in a hot house all weekend. Left message at 3am with very friendly answering service… waited for return call - but ended up calling myself. Not met with such kindness as answering service. Tech came in the window I was given. Was a very nice person. Seemed to get my ac up and running. Recommended a new system but have to schedule someone else to come out for quote. Thought bill was alittle steep for what was done. But I guess that’s the going rate… will get a few quotes.

The Barker team that showed up were Technicians Ryan and Jerry. They replaced my air handler coil, air handler blower motor, and service disconnect outside. I called this morning & got an appt the same day- Nice ! The technician was very professional. The unit was froze up, he’ll return tomorrow.

I have used them twice now. They have gotten my system going in less than an hour each time and dont charge an arm and a leg. I called them today at 4 p.m.and I have cool air now at 6 p.m.Will definitely be using them again. If the need should arise.

The person was professional and knowledgeable. The only issue was that the filter was supposed to be replaced but he did not have the correct size in his truck so we did not have the filter replaced. We have to now go out and purchase a new filter where if he had the correct size we would not have had to do this.

I called Barker @1:30 this afternoon about an A/C unit that wouldnt start. A technician, Jonathan, arrived at 3 PM. He quickly diagnosed the problem, ordered the replacement part, and is scheduled to install it on Thursday. This is really quick turn-around for an issue that was handled in a friendly and very professional manner.

I just moved to Vero. Neighbor recommended them and they have been quick to respond and honest with their work. Cant ask for more. Setup a service contract if you live in Florida.

AC stopped working this am and of course we have company in for the week. Called Barker and the tech was at the house in less than 2 hours. In the face of summer, temp 90 degrees and AC conking out everywhere the service call represents a remarkable effort. The problem was isolated and repaired in 30 minutes. Exceptional customer service by Barker per usual.

Barker AC and Heating is a terrible company to do business with. Their office staff are the furthest thing from amiable and have been incredibly rude every time Ive spoken with them. Ive been billed multiple times for a service that I did not receive, in which the situation was not resolved until I requested dates and times for the supposed services so that I could review my cameras and prove that there was never a Barker truck or employee on my property at anytime providing any type of service. The list of poor management and customer service goes on - dont waste your time, energy, or money dealing with Barker AC and Heating. You will regret it. It blows my mind that this company is still in business.

Arrived on time, i have a mini split, and dual zone HVAC systems in my new home. Home Inspection prior to purchase noted they were older units. After moving in i noticed stickers showing last maintenance was 2018. I had some electrical issues and the contractor recommended Barker. Gotta tell you, tech put my mind at ease with these words “older units but working well. Just cleaned them out a little”. I set up my maintenance contract with them. Have owned homes before and had steeled myself for the “sale” cuz older units. Didn’t happen.

I contactar them for a possible a/c repair on my 18 yr old system that had no freon so unable to cool.They did an extensive review and evaluation explaining the substantial cost to repair the myriad of items contributing to my problem, when at any time some other thing of major importance could happen and I was long out of warranty. All my neighbors had similar issues and opted for new a/c, not patching their old systems.The intelligent suggestion was I get a New a/c having a 10 yr warranty for only a few thousand morre than my repair.I am accruing the funds and will definitely have Barker shortly install my system. They have my complete trust and a fabulous reputation. I wont use anyone else.

I called for routine maintenance at 9:15 a.m. and they were able to offer same day service (at 10:30 a.m.). Great service during visit. Barker said the Freon was less than 1/2 lb low, contrary to the 1 pound or more deficit that another HVAC company told me it needed 6 months ago. Seems like the other company (I previously reviewed and gave 5 stars) was possibly less than honest?? Ill be using Barker.

I called Barker on a Saturday night with a broken A/C in ninety degree weather. They came out that night and diagnosed the problem. The motor had to be replaced. They returned Monday morning with the part and installed it. Am I happy? You bet! They were incredibly responsive and professional. Ive been a customer for any years and have no complaints.

We had a malfunction and compressor on our AC. Barker came out on a Sunday and quickly diagnosed the problem. Regardless of the current ”COVID” delays on everything in the world they were able to have a new compressor installed within 48 hours.They were professional, knowledgeable, and timely.

I have used Barker for 5+ years for maintain heat pump units and replacing units that failed after 10+ years. Always responsive, always capable service professionals. When we bought the house, we knew the units would have to be replaced relatively soon. I was charged for a service that I was told I would not be by their shop manager. I called to make sure that if they came back to redo something there would be no charge and I even wrote it down. It was dishonest to say I wouldnt be charged then charge me anyway. In addition to that I received an invoice after I paid the bill which I dont know if it was a mistake or they expect me to pay it again. With so many choices for AC repair I will not be using them again

Highly recommend this company. I use them for maintenance of my AC and when my blower motor stopped working on a Friday night they came right out the next morning to fix it and because I’m a regular customer there were no increased charges to have the repair done over the weekend. The tech was knowledgeable, very kind, and did the repair surprisingly fast on a Saturday morning.

I have used Barker for several years. They have always proven to be extremely competent. When we had water leaking from a vent, they responded quickly and fixed the problem.

A replacement AC unit was installed approximately 4 months ago. Unfortunately there were defective components and the unit developed a leak. Despite the manufacturer’s dereliction, Barker stayed on top of the problem and furnished exceptional service. The repair team, especially Ray and Jeff are to be commended.

Also cleaned out my dryer vent. Good to know they do that - better deal if you do it the same time you get other work done. Service tech very good.
