Legit roofing did an excellent job putting on a new roof for our home. The quote was extremely competitive, and Chris our sales person was knowledgeable and patient. Josh made sure all of our questions and calls got put through right away, and was an amazing liaison!! David one of the crew supers was on every little detail, and made sure everything done was picture perfect. Our crew was amazing, they cleaned up every night before going home taking special care to keep our dogs safe from nails, staples and sharp objects. The crew always had a smile on their faces, and were super helpful with questions as well. Legit went ABOVE AND BEYOND and they score a perfect 10 for a job done with excellence and care!! Our roof replacement is scheduled 10-12 weeks out so no actual work has been performed but, right off the bat meeting with sales rep Chris S was fantastic. He was polite, clean and professional. Legit installed a roof in 2019 before I purchased the home. The smart vent system made by Owens Corning was included, but the system doesnt work due to air flow blockage verified by several roofing companies. Legit has refused to honor their workmanship warranty, go through the procedure for disputes in their contract, or to reimburse for the cost of necessary repairs. I do not recommend this company!

Just had a full roof done. They did a great job and were very professional. Took them 2 days to tear off and lay a whole new roof down. Very clean and tidy crew havent found any trash or nails left behind. Would definitely reccomend and use again.

Updating my post from last November. Due to the fall/winter weather and a long list of customers my roof couldnt be replaced until February but it was worth the wait. Justin kept in touch to update me on how soon the work could be started and called prior to the first day to let me know what to expect. The crew was incredibly polite and cleaned up after each day. Legit Exteriors were recommended to me by a friend. She, her next door neighbor and her neighbor across the street all had their roofs replaced by Legit, and she loved their work. They cleaned everything up and even used something to get all the debris up from the ground. She only found 2 missed dropped nails after they were done! I had the inspection today and Mark M. was very thorough, even laying on his back to get photos of the unused portion of a narrow, low attic area. Mark gave me a quote that was reasonable and I didnt feel any pressure to sign with them. Ill post again if/when I use them. They are busy - they have a backlog and wont be able to do the work for 6-8 weeks; that must be a good sign theyre that in demand.

I initially contacted Legit because of the Platinum Warranty through Corning and since there are only a handful of roofers in the Portland metro area that have that cetification.Chris from Legit showed up after normal business hours to accomodate my schedule, which I appreciated. He was the only consultant that inspected the attic, which revealed some water damage, which allowed him to give a more realiatic price with frwer surprises after the roof is complete. He came up with a price on the spot, unlike other places that take a day or two to come back. Better yet he was willing to work with me on price. Overall I was very pleased with his professionalism, open communication, roof inspection, and the final quote he gave.The roof was completed 3 weeks ago and its truly a perfect roof. The entire neighborhood loves it. Its straight as an arrow and solid. We couldnt be happier! Would definitely recommend to someone looking for a quality roof with a great warranty.

Chris came out to give us an estimate. He was friendly, professional, thorough and knowledgeable. He took the time to walk us thru all the materials and process without giving us a hard sell. Answered all our questions and gave a great price. Wouldve signed up right then, but I wanted to double check a couple other estimates - one company was lower, but hadnt done a complete enough inspection to know the extent of what needs to be done and the other didnt call me back, so within a couple days we went with Legit. Looking forward to getting the work done well and assuming the quality of the work will be up to the standard that Chris portrayed.

They were very fast and did a good job. There was no high pressure sales and the price was on the lower side of othe estimates.

Super shady used car salesman tactics. Pushed me to sign even though I was getting 5 other bids. Why wouldnt I want to meet other contractors and find someone I could trust on a job costing over $30,000?? They were trying to convince me that if I didnt sign then their offer was going up in price next week. Now they spam call me at least one a week. Ive blocked like 5 numbers from them.

Legit is a top-notch outfit. They replaced our roof and skylight a couple of months ago and we couldnt be more satisfied. The estimator took great care measuring and explaining our options and their bid came in way under another companys bid for the exact same job. Received a bid from legit even though my wife and I believe we could have another five years or so on the roof left. Chris and Quentin were very professional with their presentation and presented us multiple options for our situation. We decided we’re going to hold off a couple years since we’re at our vacation homes half the year and don’t see the urgency at this time. They were very informative and taught us a lot about what goes into roofing and what options we’ll receive out there so we appreciate their time and honesty.

Wow. Just wow. Worst company I have *ever* dealt with. They spent more time telling me what they dont do than what they do. We dont paint. We dont do interior work. We cant fix subflooring. (He did backpeddle and would do subfloor repairs) We had them out twice and the first guy came off like a used car salesman. I contacted the company and then Ryan came out and it ended up being the same used-car salesman attitude. After they measured he has a piece of paper with two numbers on it. No specs. No nothing and he was expecting me to sign right there. I told him I cant sign right now I have other bids coming in. He says why not? Why cant you sign this right now? Again I told him I have other bids coming in. He then says how long have you been waiting for their numbers? A few days. Why couldnt they give you numbers right away like we do?At that point I told him were done. Theres no way I would ever let them touch anything on my house. How they got all these reviews I have no idea because this part of the process was absolutely ridiculous when he cant even give me the respect to consider the other offers I have coming in from other highly respected contractors.Do not waste a phone call. But, if you do, have witnesses with you.

We have been considering getting our siding and roofing done for a few years now and happened to know someone who works for Legit. Dominic came out to get everything measured and went over a few different options for us, and even showed some financing solutions.We are waiting on a few other things to get done before moving forward, but will most likely be going with Legit Exteriors this summer for our projects. They have done great work as per the pictures we saw, and we are excited to see their work on our home.

Out of everything I feared when my husband and I bought our first house, replacing the roof was right up there at the top. What a complete surprise it was for me when a Legit Exterior representative came to my door, offering a free roof inspection.While yes, this is an in technique, I never felt pushed or prodded into buying from them. The two inspectors, Reid and Trevor, came out a few days later to take a look at our roof and give us our options along with an estimate, down to the dollar. They helped us pick out tiles that would do well in desert and mountain climates, which I have to say is impressive. Even after finding out that I had medical bills that would take precedence, they helped push out our starting payment for one year.On top of all this, the warranty offered by Legit Exterior is through its partnering company who owns the patent on fiberglass... Think about it, ever single time fiberglass is used in something that company gets paid. Every. Single. Time.I regret for nothing and had a shiny experience.

Legit lives up to its name. They were responsive when asked for a quote- coming to meet with us in person when it was convenient. The explanation by the rep was professional and complete- he answered our questions and gave us a detailed itemization of the work. He was enthusiastic but respected our wish to wait for other bids and take our time with the decision. The bid was lower than others substantially. The work was done sooner than expected, with ample communication and coordination with us by the office. We like their work and the clean up was thorough. At the end the guy was a bit over-eager trying to get payment but gave us room to look things over well before we sent the payment in. All in all wed definitely recommend them.

They may be fine roofers but I dont have any direct knowledge of that. However, they wont stop calling us. Told them last night we werent going with their company stop calling and lose our numbers. They still keep calling, wont take no for an answer. Thats the first thing that I would like to inform prospective customers of.In addition, when Tucker showed up initially I informed him we werent down for a 90 minute presentation. He assured me he would make it quick 45 minutes tops. It took the whole ninety minutes. His bid was 30% higher than the next highest one we received. This was our first bid. When we told him we needed to get other bids before we committed he had to call his supervisor (who I could plainly hear on the other end of the line btw) who then coached/pushed him to keep pushing us. Dropped the price, offered financing (which we explained we didnt need right off the bat) and generally tried to baffle us with BS. Finally, after his supervisor was satisfied he had pressured us enough he left. Told him as he was leaving to call my cell and not my wifes if he didnt hear from me in a week. Guess what he has only called my wife, and has repeatedly for a month.I get the whole sales thing but the continuous calling after clearly communicating we wouldnt go with this company is a bit much. Have blocked their number now so hopefully they will buzz off. Just thought you all should know, this has been my experience with these folks.

Quentin gave me a bid on the roof and gutters. I’m still waiting on a settlement that won’t be resolved for a couple years so I wasn’t able to commit. He was very polite and even gave me a follow call to confirm my decision. I felt the least I could do was leave a review for him taking the time and reaching out to me.

Kyle was a very nice young man and was well informed!!! Any questions or concerns i had he answered politely and with confidence. I really appreciated the thorough inspection on my attic as the contractors prior seemed to neglect that. He also took pictures of every major concern and showed me so i could see first hand what was going on with my roof. I had several other bids before legit some being hire and some lower but legit had the best customer service and what i feel was the best roofing system!!

I just had my roof replaced by Legit. I hadnt planned on getting it done but I knew it was time time. The sales person was informative but not high pressure. They had to tear off three layers of old roofing but finished the entire thing in two days! Everything was left clean and undamaged and the workers were very polite.

This business forces really hard sell tactics from their staff. Our quoter literally would not leave when asked. They are terrible to their employees, and they refuse to take you off their list of people to call. Ive requested six times for them to no longer contact me.

Got a bid for siding and their offer was over double from other competitors despite using similar siding materials. I asked them for their best price up front. I then showed them offers from competitors and only then were they were willing to reduce their price. Looking at other reviews, multiple people seem to be saying the same thing. I went with another competitor.UPDATE TO OWNER RESPONSE:Yes, you were willing to work with me but you were still a few grand more expensive than everyone else despite using the same materials. Why initially tell me your best offer was over double and then go down? Why tell me it is double and then say if I act within a week, the price will be reduced by 5-10%? Why try to sell me on the Legit difference when putting up siding is a commodity? I was born at night, this doesnt mean I was born last night. These strike me, and I am sure others will agree, as very deceptive sales practices.

Very good experience with Caleb running the project. The roof looks fantastic. Time(~20+ years) will tell if the quality is great, but I can say that I was impressed the key contact that I had who was Caleb. The installation crew was spot on, and they finished the project on time, and left the place cleaner than they started! Well done Legit!

We called Legit to get a quote on our roof and new gutters, the roof provided a few problems do to a low pitch its 3/12.Phillip from Legit gave us a reasonable quote on the job and we hired them that day.The roofing material was rolled roofing/torch down that incorporated the gutter system as well which in turn required rebuilding and truing the fascia, Caleb and Rick worked out a process that worked out wonderfully, and worked together to overcome any other issues that came up.The roof and gutters look excellent and added a ton of curb appeal along with added value to the house.We are very pleased with the job that was done and highly recommend you consider Legit Roofing if you are in need of a new roof and or gutters.And on top of how nice everything looks is the peace of mind provided by a 50 year WarrantyThanks to the crew at Legit for all your hard work!

8/22/2016-We recently had a new roof installed by Legit Roofing. The crew that arrived at our house was on time the date that we were told. The crew was very professional and did an outstanding job. We had to replace several sheets of plywood due to mold and this part of the job went very smooth. I would recommend Legit Roofing to anyone that wants a job done well, on time and with a competitive price. They took 2 days to install our new roof and the grounds and plants were protected from any damage.

No one seems to care about your time, just theirs. They claim a daily magnetic sweep while the roofing process is being done, but its not. Had to replace one tire and picked up a magnitude of nails myself. The company doesnt care if they make an error on the contracts signed, but if something is not up to quality standards they will throw that what you want is changing the contract. The most irritating thing is thay they will lie to your face without hesitation. I do not recommend this company.I changed this to a three star from a one. Justin made it right the best he could, and was very personable. He cared and was concerned about the experience I had, and took the time to talk with me, and to figure out where it went wrong, so it wouldnt happen to any another customers of his.

We had four different contractors come to bid on our large and complicated house for replacement of 30 year old LP siding. Though Legit was not the lowest by any means, the customer service, communication and honesty of Tucker Beesley completely convinced us that Legit was the company for us to work with on this huge investment. In all our meetings he was on time, or if traffic held him up wed get a call and with his exact ETA. None of the others were near as considerate of our time, nor as knowledgeable about our needs. Being in customer service in our own careers - Ive never seen finer than the customer service weve received from Legit thanks to Tucker.

Reid came around the neighborhood and was very friendly and nice. He did not push anything on me and my husband, but was offering free inspections. We are currently not in the market for new roofing or siding, but when we are Reid will be our first call.

My wife and I contacted Legit Roofing while in the middle of selling our home. We had a very short time frame to work with since we were closing in 14 days and had to have the roof completed by closing. We called Legit Roofing in the morning and that same day they sent out Stacie to come take initial measurements and go over options. After talking with Stacie she quickly gave us a timeline and cost estimate of the work that needed to be done. Stacie checked in with us multiple times a day and updated us along every step of the process, Stacie did an excellent job with communication throughout the project, and even after the project wrapped up! Stacie truly acted as a corner-man for her customers. The roofing project was completed on budget and FASTER than estimated! The roof looked amazing, and they left the outside of our house cleaner than it was when they arrived; I would recommend Stacie and the Legit Roofing team any day!

First Id like to say that our roof looks gorgeous and the quality and warranty are great. Its the best one in the neighborhood, IMHO. That being said it was not a problem-free experience. We had a few issues along the way most of them minor and the major one was out of the companys control. The reason that I rate them 5 stars even though this was not a seamless experience is because of how they handled the situations that arose. To me the true test of a great company is how they take care of their clients when things are not going so well...how do they react when you report an issue, how quickly do they resolve that issue and how do they compensate you for the pain and suffering caused by that issue. On all three of these factors Legit Roofing was spectacular! The owner, David, actually came and worked on our roof himself to get the project heading in the right direction and sent his best team over to complete it the next day. On top of that I could tell that he TRULY cares about his clients and his companys reputation. He and his dad were very nice and made everything right just as soon as we reported the issue. Now THAT is a FANTASTIC company!!!

I dont feel like I got pushed. I havent decided to accept the quote or not but its pleasant to talk with these guys.

Legit did a great job for a fair price. I also optioned for a solar tube light installation while they were here; really happy with that!They did a complete tear off and install on the roof in two days. Kept the yards clean and free of nails and debris.New roof looks great! I would recommend them.

Legit has installed new roofs on a number of houses in our neighborhood. Trusting my neighbors positive opinions and experiences with Legit was the best move we made. From bid to installation day, a small change order to include 2 skylights, along with the project being completed two days ahead of the initial schedule, Legits communication and honest word was fabulous. Better yet, their product, warranty, skylights, and workmanship have made our roof a one and done deal for the next 40 to 50 years! Im glad we went with Legit and couldnt be happier with how our roof turned out.

We had Legit do a tear off and replacement of our shingles. They use high quality products. I appreciated the efficient and professional nature of Ed and Froilan who did the work. They were able to get it all done in 2 days! The roof looks outstanding!

Very impressed with the quality of product and the speed and expertise of the workers. The workers showed up at my house at about 3:15pm on a 98° day and said they would have my house done that day. I said no way!. The had to tear off 2 layers of old roofing material and lay the fabric, seal all the vent and 2 skylights then lay the roofing material and they were done and cleaned up by 10:15pm. My neighbors were coming over and bringing them food and popsicles and were just amazed at how fast they hot it done. Very happy with the end result.

Trying to sell my home 8 months after having Legit replace my roof and what a mess. I thought that paying for the most expensive would mean something but got told by two inspectors that I got ripped off. They also told me that a few years ago no one in this town had ever heard of them. Then I need the warrenty and city permits and guess what? Legit never filed for permits and did the job ILLEGALLY. Also, they dont have a warrenty themselves. Just the shingle manufactures warranty. I should have saved four thousand dollars and used a honorable company with integrity. I forgot to mention I have to pay someone else to fix some flashing and rotted wood they did incorrectly.

Legit Roofing had a representative walking door-to-door in my neighborhood this week. I made an appointment with them for an estimate (for today), yet no one ever came. A phone call or text letting me know that they would not be coming...that would be the professional thing to do. Unprofessional is not “legit.”Update, one week later: PLEASE STOP calling me EVERY SINGLE DAY. I’m busy. I’m at work. Please stop calling. It’s really annoying. Stop. You fouled up the first time with a basic thing - you are not doing my roof. Stop calling me.Update 4/22/18: They are STILL calling me. These are annoying people who cannot accept an honest review and move on. Avoid them.

Outstanding job on my roofing project. Tom followed up on a quote from last year, come to the house, his experienced eye updated the quote with what was required, including high quality GAF products and offered all the appropriate options and proved a competitive price. Justin scheduled the job at the next weather opportunity, and sent a fantastic top-notch extremely hard working crew who completed the job in two long days. The entire job was professional in every way, including total clean up. Very highly recommended.

So, a nice young man was walking around our neighborhood asking people if they would like a free estimate for a new roof. I normally wouldnt do this but my husband and I have been talking about trying to replace our roof for about two years, so I said sure and signed up to have someone come over to inspect our roof and give us a quote. The next day Will Porter knocked on our door. He was very polite and nice. He inspected our roof from the attic and than came to talk to us. I originally had no plans on signing any papers to get a roof but in the end Will was so nice and was able to get us soo many great deals that we went ahead and signed up for a new roof. So far I would recommend this company to anyone interested in getting a new roof.

The two representatives from Legit Roofing arrived on time and prepared to give me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. Both Andre H and Dillon U was knowledgeable about the company and its history as well as the Owens-Corning products being used as the roofing materials. After all was said and done, my roof definitely needed help and I made the decision to proceed. I did change my mind because of my financial indecision, but after speaking with Mike and Andre again, I decided to proceed. I am confident that this is a good choice and looking forward to the job getting started and seeing the finished product. Legit Roofing is wonderful to work with. I called on a Friday for an estimate and Richard came out Monday. I had met with other roofing companies before and none were as thorough as Richard was. My boyfriend and I are young, and I have noticed that sometimes contractors arent as thorough or patient with us I assume partly because they might think we are unable to afford their services. I did not catch that at all with Richard. He went into our attics (which none of the other roofers did) and sat with us for more than an hour explaining their wonderful roofing system. He also took pictures showing us why certain things needed to be done. He didnt just tell us what we needed, he explained why and what our current situation was. We ended up booking Legit Roofing because of Richards thoroughness that same day. They had a cancellation and we got our roof completed in less than two weeks of our estimate appointment. The crew, specifically Rick, that came to take care of our roof were informative, patient, and respectful. They left the place cleaner than when they first arrived. Legit Roofing was very thorough and communicated with me each step of the way when a few unforeseen issues arose like feet upon feet of rotted fascia, rotted plywood boards and rafter beams. I am just waiting on my gutter instillation next week and expect itll go smoothly as everything else has. Even the office staff, specifically Courtney, were very helpful in sending me an invoice early so that I could send it to my home owners insurance for a reduction. Overall, wonderful company. They may be a just little more expensive, but youre paying for quality and a GREAT warranty.

Wow! All the way from the initial contact with Tucker, to the crew that were all gentleman in working for 3 days on our roof, to Ed, who made sure we were satisfied with the end result, we were in awe....and with the extreme heat that followed the next few days, our house stayed cool thanks to the ridge line vent that allowed the hot air out of our attic, and not back in our house ....thank you all....we will certainly recommend your business to our neighbors!

Had a new roof put on, it was raining very hard the schedule day so they rescheduled it for a couple days later which i really appreciated. The guys were very efficient and cleaned up as they took the old tiles off. No mess left behind and was finish in one day.I will hire Legit in a heartbeat if i need any other work done ( gutters or siding, ect.) Thanks for a great job guys!

He was very professional,gave me a very thorough inspection and extremely impressive presentation of the company and what I was to expect of their work and work ethics. What a joke. 2 weeks ago they came and inspected and said they couldnt give me a quote then. We had an appt scheduled for tomorrow... but my husband may not be home so they cant come to the appointment. Im sure if it was my husband that would be home it wouldnt be a problem!

I had my roof inspected by Talena. She was the sweetest and had a smile from ear to ear the whole time, even when she had to climb into our attic space (which was no small feat) She was very thorough in explaining all the products and options to me and I could tell she worked for a reputable company by the way she acted. I definitely recommend getting your roofing needs done through Legit Roofing. They have the best customer service out there.

They were grossly incompetent. Our roof only needed cleaning and some repairs NOT a full replacement. They completely missed the necessary repairs in their evaluation. Additionally, we received weekly calls for a variety of services as well as verbal abuse.

Great company, we had them come out to repair work that the last roofing company did (very shoddy work and unbelievably poor communication) and they got it taken care of quickly and efficiently. They were very pleasant both at the job site and on the phone. Thumbs up!

This company is a scam. Operates very like much like a car dealership. Shop around this company is high priced, fast and nasty... shady sales tactics. They all have a script to follow They try and build re pore, go in for urgency you have a problem that needs to be fixed now!!when that may not be the case.... then we are the best solution for you. If you still object or want to think on it... its more pressure sales Dont believe it. There are many many other reputational backed companies out there that will get your siding, roofing or window project done with the same result (quality and warranty backed) with much much less drama and smoke and mirrors.

Just woke up to horrendous noise from the legit roofing crew next door. They had a bit of a problem getting the old Spanish tile down so they were throwing it into the metal truck from the roof. I called the company and the gentleman that runs this crew took immediate action and within 10 minutes the noise was gone. Thank you for caring about your neighbors! What a great company!

I am in desperate need of a roof but due to a disability I am unable to afford one. I have tried to save money towards replacing mine over a period of years but due to the cost of medical insurance to pay for the prescriptions that sustain my life along with all the other curve balls we are all thrown, I have been unable. Will Porter from Legit Roofing called and asked if I was interested in having an inspection and bid. I explained my situation and he told me about Legits No Roof Left Behind Program.He was very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. He asked if I would like him to give me a call back when nominations began . During the call he expressed enthusiasm and was very genuine.He let me know this was an opportunity offered once a year to deserving members in the community to get a free roof!, Months later Will called me back asking if I recalled our conversation. He notified me that nominations were beginning . He provided me with the web address and explained the process of applying.. He even offered to help guide me through it if needed.I was so grateful that he called back.I told him if there was a catch of some kind involving money, I didnt want to waste anyones time. He assured me that this was an exciting opportunity for Legit to pay it forward and there were no expectations to those participating.Kudos to Legit Roofing company for extending a helping hand to those in need:) . Their example will hopefully inspire others to do the same..Will is an asset to this company. He demonstrated pride offering this service, along with courteous professionalism. Shopping local is not just about finding a local company, but a reputable one that makes a difference and has a positive impact on their community through their employees and their craft. I truly believe Legit embodies this whole heartedly.The owner takes care of his employees, paying even entry level positions a decent and fair wage, (you wont find any restaurant style minimum wage treatment here). Everyone is treated with respect and like a member if the family. Company events consist of family style BBQs and rewards and recognition in the company for every employee. With plenty of opportunities for everyone to grow with company .Maybe this is a biased review, but I cant help but say that I have never experienced better treatment as an employee than I have here . (And Ive worked a wide variety of jobs from service industry to management for a fortune 500 company). I think the love that this family owned company has for its workers shows not only in their attitudes, but in the work they do for our customers . If you buy from legit you dont just help another millionaire buy a beach house .You help a family put food on the table for their children, and you sign the paychecks for the number of employees who work long days happily to provide amazing craftsmanship for homes they treat just like their own while working on them.Bottom line, if you truly want to buy from a family owned, local, and honest company. Buy legit.

The two man roofing crew of Rick and Imelio completed the job in a day and a half with everything cleaned up. I would like to say thank you to Andre for coming out to do our consultation. Was very through in explaining the materials and the process. Really putting my mind at ease, and to go forward and get it done for the health of my family as well to prevent any damage from really happening. Will be posting another review when job is complete.UPDATE: The roof has been completed! We have noticed such a huge difference. They added more ventilation to the roof. We have been battling mold all winter, and as new home owners we just couldnt understand why. A big problem was it was growing in the babys room on the ceiling. We tried every mold killer every paint and it would come back. When the project manager came out he in formed us when the house was remoldled the vent to the bath room was venting over into babys room causing all the condensation on the ceiling. There gace been no signs of the mold!!!! Its been a week since they finished they were quick and professional. They cleaned up every day before leaving. Let us know when they saw something. I am so glad we went through legit roofing it is more but I feel that it was worth it for the health of my family and for the longevity of the house. Here is my experience with just the estimate. First off the estimator was 30 minutes late, ok whatever, things happen. Weve all been late.He then goes to inspect the roof and at one point falls off his ladder from a foot or two up.He then comes inside to talk to us about things and proceeds to tells us his life story about how he used to be an alcoholic gambler and has been divorced twice, he makes sex jokes about my wife and I, shames other roofing companies and then has the balls to quote us $22,000 for a roof on our 1-story 850 sq ft. house!!!! I had to contain my laughter.After we implied that was insane he then changed his tune and said they could do a cheaper roof for $11,000 and he could explain that roof if we wanted him too after hed just spent 40 minutes trying to sell us on this BS $24k roof, it was already 8pm and $11,000 is STILL too much! Sorry, no way! At this point even if they were the cheapest option i STILL wouldnt use them. They lost my business because of their robbery of an estimate! Sort your sales staff out!EDIT: In response to the owners response:Yes, the jokes about whether my wife and I will be divorced in a couple years and comments that your rep made about him leaving so i could go have sex with my wife and get her pregnant were wildly inappropriate for a roofing estimate. I literally just wanted a cost-range and feature list of the various tiers that my wife and I could talk about and get back to you guys, i didnt want to talk about sex, alcohol, drugs or past life history with my roofing company.And yes, i am aware there are different tiers of products. The appropriate thing to do would be to inform the customer that those tiers exist, what those tiers are, their benefits, what they include and what they cost all laid out up front. I want to be educated on my options, not screwed by someone trying to peddle their most expensive stuff.If the best roof IS worth double or triple what an economy roof is then the roof should stand on its own merit next to the other options, right? There is no need to hide it until the end.Your rep just spent the entire time talking about the highest tier and quoted us the absolute highest possible price without even mentioning other options until we made it clear we were uninterested in spending $22k on a roof. By that time it was 8pm and he had been there for almost an hour and a half, we were hungry, tired and there was no time to even discuss less expensive options! Not that i wanted to anyway at that point.It would have been a much more pleasant experience if he would have laid out the various options and let *US* decide what would work with our budget but instead it was like he was pushing this Cadillac roof for our tiny little house and hiding the standard, more reasonable options up his sleeve until we were clearly uninterested in spending $22,000 (almost 1/4 of the price of our mortgage!) on a small roof and by that time it was too late, he had already lost my interest and that of my wife for many reasons.Edit2: just got an estimate for my house from another company, architectural shingles, new metal drip edge and all new fixtures for $7000!
