The owner came to our house, inspected the lose siding (Not work done by Superior Exterior Systems) and provided excellent advice on how to secure the joints on this 26 year old original siding on our home. We needed to get a quote for a possible mold/fungus issue in a new purchase. Within 2 hours of submitting my online request, I was contacted and had a detailed discussion about what our home inspector and fungal expert had told us. We recently bought a new home in Ridgefield, and arranged to have a representative from Superior Exterior Systems come out and take a look at our house to give us their opinion on the condition of the siding, as the home inspection company had flagged possible issues with some of the lower siding which was near shrubs growing close to the house. Bill from Superior came out yesterday and gave us his honest opinion that the siding was fine and didnt need replacing. He also indicated that the house had been painted correctly (probably within the last year by the previous owners) and that the siding was in good shape for a 25 year old house, and it helped that the siding was all one story, under eaves. He also recommended that we keep the shrubs trimmed back away from the exterior walls to prevent moisture accumulation. Bill was very helpful and friendly also, and if we ever need siding replaced I will definitely call them first. I was impressed that he was not trying to sell us something we didnt need and that they will give an honest, unbiased opinion on the condition of a homes siding.

We are in the process of buying a house in Brush Prairie, WA and I wanted to get an assessment of the house siding. Another gentlemen who had done the home inspection a few days before recommended Superior Exterior Systems, so I called and spoke with the owner, Bill, and set up an appointment.I explained that we were in a time crunch due to the closing date on the house. We could not be more satisfied with the outcome. This company was very comparable in price as well as accomodating. The workers were very helpful and courteous which made us very comfortable. The project was completed when promised and everything was clean throughout which we totaly appreciated. We cannot recommend this company enough and would use them in the future.

The front end of the process was quick and painless ... analysis and quote / estimate. the middle of the process (getting work done) started late and was then extended due to painter being over-committed. the back end of the process was difficult. getting responses and resolution to small punch-list items to close the job were promised but not executed. i would not recommend to my friends.

When we initially called Michelle we thought we just needed a small dry rot repair, and while that is not Superiors focus, she offered to have Jason come out and take a look. Other companies had essentially told us they werent interested in coming out, based on our description, so we were happy to hear that. In the meantime, we discovered additional areas that had problems, so when we talked to Jason we asked him how the issues could best be resolved. He came up with a few different options, from having someone else do some patches, to residing a couple walls, to residing the whole house. He was NOT pushy, but was very informative. He answered our many questions and spent a ton of time with us. Chad, Michelles husband, also talked to us over the phone about technical issues.After much discussion we decided to have the whole house resided with Hardie Plank. They were able to fit us in to their schedule quickly, and Chris, Mike and Mikey came up to do the job. It rained a couple of the days, but they did what they could on those days and made sure everything was installed as specified by the manufacturer. And there are a lot of specs! The guys were really nice and again answered our questions and ASKED questions to make sure everything happened the way we wanted it to. We are glad we ended up having the whole house resided because we discovered additional areas that were starting to rot. The crew cut out a 12 strip at the bottom of the T1-11 that was on the mobile home and replaced it securely with plywood. They used that as the base for the Hardie Plank and the house is now beautiful and quieter and very well sealed against the weather. The crew was excellent at measuring and cutting - everything looks perfect. We chose to paint the house ourselves, but they also offer that service.We are happy with the siding and the way it was installed and very happy with the customer service and excellent communication throughout the process and beyond.Based on our experience, we would definitely recommend Superior Exterior Systems to anyone in need of the services they offer.

Im writing for Cascadia Commons, a 26 home cohousing HOA. We have money in our capitol reserve for replacing some siding between paintings and are seeing some dry rot on window frames. I too had the dreaded LP and this year was the year it had to be removed. I wasnt expecting to do it this year and therefore, had not budgeted for it, but anyone who is a homeowner knows these things seem to come up when you least expect it. I went with this company because they took the time to thoroughly explain every detail of what would be done to my house and why. Im the type that is really hands on when it comes to my most precious investment so I appreciate the details. I always like to see how things are put together and repaired and they had no problem with me being present to monitor the work, which was good since I had to make sure some things that were supposed to be done got done since the main foreman was out of town that week. I am very picky about my house and they seemed to maintain patience with me.In addition to the unexpected cost of the siding that I had resigned myself into having to pay for this year, a huge extra problem came up! The main foreman noticed, upon giving me my quote, that the bottom backing of my fireplace needed to be replaced since it was rotting. He was even going to include that repair in the bid. That made an impression on me since that was going above and beyond, since it was not part of the problem area, so I thought; and would have never known about it if he didn’t point it out. I’m so thankful that he did. It gave me a very uneasy feeling when he pointed out that he could feel the old siding beneath rotting, because that was the one area that I thought the LP had been removed over 10 years ago and Hardi Plank put over. Problem is the lousy contractor that did that job left the rotting LP siding underneath and just slapped on the Hardi Plank over it!!! Hence why it is ALWAYS good to monitor all work done on your home!! So I had to pay double what I was initially quoted due to major carpenter ant damage that had occurred to the structure of my fireplace surround. I think the additional costs was fair, but I really didnt have the luxury of shopping around since this had to get repaired asap. The company seemed to do a good job, time will tell I guess, but they assured me that there is a life time warranty on leaks etc.This was a difficult experience since Im the sole provider of income in my household, but this company seems honest and I will have them back next summer to do the last two sides of my home as they also have LP siding and I want it all eradicated. Also I need to match up the rest of my house with lap siding now. They even worked with me well in doing my home in sections, part this year and the rest next year. Im the type that likes to pay things off before acquiring more debt. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company.

When I started doing the research for what company to use I went straight to the reviews to find out what people were saying about Superior Exterior Systems. I liked what I read so I asked Bill to come out and talk to my fiance and I about the possibilities of getting our house done before we put it on the market.I left a voicemail for Bill and he called back within an hour. Bill came out and gave such an informative presentation about siding that by the time he left my fiance and I felt like we could give a class on the subject. Most importanly we felt educated about what we were looking at.Bill gave us a more than fair price to get the whole house done and when we called him with the final ok, the supplies showed up just two days later.The crew had to work in the rain pretty much every day but when they were working it was fast and effecient.The only downside to the whole job was that there were supplies left at our house for several days after the job was done and I do feel like it could have been a little cleaner once the job was done. But all in all Bill and his crew did a very good job and I would recommend this company to ANYONE looking to get siding done.If anything just give him a chance to come in and put a bid on the project. And they did impressive work on that house, so we did contact the owner of this company. I was well informed by him about the choises of the sidings, and learned a lot of the important details in siding my house properly. After our decision of replacing the siding of our house, the crews came in a few days and starred to remove my LP siding. The crew team did a great job, even when we had to be out of towm for more than 10 days. After we got back home, they had replaced most of the old siding. The finished hardie plank looks excellent. Even though his company did not get the opportunity to help with my homes damage, Bill was sincerely happy for me that my home sold.
