I hired Cutting Edge to design and build a sun room addition to our house. The project finished over a year ago but I wanted to write a review to praise their company. The whole process took around 9 months to complete but the quality of work and entire process was wonderful. From the initial planning, design, and permitting to the finishing detailed work, Brandon and Israel was there every step of the way. We have enjoyed our new addition everyday. I recommend Cutting Edge with the utmost confidence. I will use them again in the future for any other work I might need done. Thank you again.

I am extremely pleased with the exterior work done on my home! The work is beautiful and I know it has improved the value of my investment tremendously. I can’t say enough about the quality and timeliness of the work. Brandon and Israel made sure I was involved in the project and informed of everything all along the way. I feel like they were highly invested in the project and took personal care to ensure no detail was overlooked. Despite the excellent communication, there weren’t any delays related to over-neediness in getting the work done, as I’ve had with prior contractors who failed to initiate tasks because they needed obsessive validation for each item on the checklist. Clearly, this was not the company’s first project and the experienced professionalism showed. The team arrived ready to work; no one hung out in the yard slacking off or took extended breaks. They arrived ready and with great attitudes throughout. They were efficient, thorough, and clean. I don’t feel like they cut corners and they left everything as good or better than they found it. I know that Cutting Edge is busy with many jobs but my house always felt like a priority. The crew referred to me by name and because it was the same crew throughout, I felt like I got to know them a little. Everyone was respectful, kind, and courteous. I honestly couldn’t say one negative thing about anyone on the crew. I would definitely call them again for future projects.

Awesome experience working with these guys! They helped us take an empty unused space and made it into something beautiful that I can enjoy for years to come. Manuel and Lionel really were great to work with. Super nice and polite and got the project done in a timely manner! Joshua gets an extra star for being responsive, patient and for educating us on what was about to happen. It was all great!

They also replaced all the siding on my house, replaced my deck with Trex and beautiful metal rails, and replaced my front deck with a concrete pad and steps.Cutting Edge Contracting was wonderful from start to finish. I worked with Joe, and he was constantly in communication with me about the project. He answered my concerns and questions in a timely manner. All the workers that came to do parts of the job were respectful and knowledgeable about the portion of the job they were doing. A small problem occurred which happens with major construction jobs, but it was taken care of immediately and professionally. It was even fixed better than it was prior to the problem. I would hire them again for any future needs.

CEC did a large roofing project on my commercial building. They walked me through each step. I am very impressed with their customer service, quality of work, and how fast they got the job competed.

My siding and roof leak was handled by Brandon.I was using timberline construction prior but their guy did not have much to say and just wanted to score the contract and not give very much detail.Then comes Brandon from cutting edge. Brandon gave great advice which led to them essentially loosing money and us being able to save money by doing it ourselves.Brandon could have said, only a professional can fix this but no, he was honest, punctual, professional and helped us with projects we were not even paying him for. I have rarely met anyone as amazing as Brandon he really seems to care about his work and his customers. Brandon receives an 11 out of 10 for customer service.As for the actual work, they got me some roof sealant (which worked great) and replaced a bunch of rotting siding on my house while installing the windows in the center of the rot. Him and his team did not mess up at all as far as my untrained eyes can tell. The siding and windows look great. Cutting edge was able to work with me on the price so that we could afford the work and prevent my house from falling apart.Cutting edge contracting is awesome and please get a quote from them (hopefully Brandon) before going anywhere else.They deserve more than the 5 stars I am giving them but google wont let me.

Brandon and another person arrived early at 2:51 for a 3pm appt to provide estimates on siding repair/replacement. My partner was still in a phone meeting so I let them know this and that I could facilitate while they waited for their appt time when my partner would be available. Brandon introduced himself as “the production manager” (didn’t state the company he was from) and asked if we would want a full siding replacement. As previously discussed, I reiterated that we were looking for quotes for both full replacement as well as repair only. Brandon then explained to me that full Hardie replacement is the only thing that would make sense financially (without even looking at the home). I stated yes it’s likely we would want the full replacement, but we would still be interested in both quotes so we could decide what makes most sense for us. Irritated, he stated “just like you get to choose which company does the job, I get to choose which jobs I want to do.” Then he angrily stated “we’re done here” and walked away. I was completely taken aback and managed to ask “can you at least tell me which company you are with?”, to which he didn’t respond. The company truck they got into was from Cutting Edge. All of this happened in about 5 minutes(they left at 2:57).Truthfully, I do not understand what happened, or why he was so quick to anger, however I do know that I am very glad we will not be working with Brandon or Cutting Edge. True colors really show when it’s hot outside on a Friday at 3pm. Glad it’s all on security camera as well so we can show the owner what kind of customer service Brandon provides. Could not begin to recommend.

We called Cutting Edge after we were forced to fire our previous contractor because they took A YEAR to do our roof and trim and actually left our home in worse condition than when they started. And after a year they still werent finished. Cutting Edge came in and did a large siding and beam project in 2 weeks!!!! They conducted themselves with amazing professionalism and the quality of work is amazing! I will call Cutting Edge for future projects. Cutting Edge was attentive to our needs and kept us informed throughout the project. Cutting Edge cares about their clients. Cutting Edge Contracting did an absolutely lovely job on my complicated mess of a house. My wife and I had them do our gutters, roof, siding, windows AND custom patio. They are AWESOME. The folks that helped us out (by the name of Joe, Brandon and Sean) were helpful in explaining the entire process to us. We got a handful of bids for the project but cutting edge seemed much more professional and on top of it than everyone else. We were blown away and cant wait to call them back for our next upgrades!!!!!

I really liked how reliable Cutting Edge was throughout the project, both leading up to and throughout!! I really enjoyed the fact that Cutting Edge was a one-stop shop for all exterior work, which included replacing some siding, gutters, and painting. Hired Cutting Edge to replace our flat roof, siding, windows, and doors as well as expand our laundry room. Our house is old and wasnt well taken care of, so there was a never-ending stream of challenges with each phase of the job. In addition, the weather was largely uncooperative.But the crew was amazing. They worked even after dark to take full advantage of dry weather, and in some cases continued to work in the rain. The crew worked over 14 hours on one Sunday to make sure our roof was water tight.The crew made accommodations to work with us when we wanted to make some changes such as adding a concrete shed pad and allowing some exterior lights to be installed.The crew does not believe in leaving a job without it being done right. This was evident with the large picture window we had replaced. After two rounds of trying to install it in the existing frame, they tore out the frame and built a new one to make it proper. Now it is exactly as it should be and looks perfect.The contract included painting, for which we had a color consultant help us out. We chose some non-standard house colors (blue, grey, white, and purple), and with the consultants help selected just the right shades of each. The painter was the best Ive ever seen, with an attention to detail unsurpassed by any other. Our house is now the best looking on the block.I strongly recommend Cutting Edge. We are very happy with the results. Our house is warmer, dryer, quieter, prettier, and so much more comfortable. There is a 20 year warranty on the work done so we have no worries at all. Choosing Cutting Edge was a great decision.

Kyle was a great project manager for our roofing project recently finished. Communication was perfect, and everything he had described the experience to be on the initial estimate all came to be true. Kyle was courteous and always checking to make sure that my wife and I were satisfied with the progress of the job every day. The crew of installers lead by Mario were outstanding. They were very professional and incredibly skilled. Kyle and Cameron went above and beyond to make sure that the home looked perfect at completion.

I had Cutting Edge install James Hardie Siding, paint the entire home and had them install custom stonework on the front of my house!! Joe Long was an excellent project manager throughout all phases of the projects. He communicated with me constantly and also checked in on the job throughout to make sure everything was being done to a high quality. Cutting Edge Crews did an excellent job and the projects went very smoothly and efficiently!! The crews worked very hard and didnt take any breaks and also worked until the job was completely finished. My company recently used Cutting Edge to do three roofs for my property management company. The roofs on these three houses were the original roofs and we did not have the proper venting on the houses. Sean Kelly was my project manager and he was amazing. The communication and management of the project was next level. Due to managing other properties all over Clark county, it was a relief to have someone who is on top of the project so that I do not have to be. The roof looks great and the tenants in the homes were very happy. Cutting Edge Contracting is AWESOME! I had my Roof, Siding, Painting and Chimney done. They walked me through the repairs they found and told me what it would cost before they did the work. The Sales Reps (Brandon and Israel) came by daily to check on the quality of the work and made sure I was happy. The workmen took care not to damage my garden and cleaned up their mess before they finished each day. Their craftsmanship was excellent! They made my house look like new. Cutting Edge did a terrific job on my badly damaged roof and siding. They were extremely thorough on their bid and scheduled me quickly. They did a great job of repairing the root issues before putting the new roof on. The roofers that worked on my house were some of the hardest working guys Ive ever seen. Cutting Edge Contracting is a team of true professionals. I recently had them help revitalize my 1964 childhood home where I now live once again. They tore off the cedar shake roof and replaced it with a stunning new one, also updating the ventilation and repairing dry rot. Next came new gutters and exterior paint. But the grande finale was tearing out the old fence, ivy walls and all, and replacing it with clear cedar. The transformation is brilliant!Throughout the entire process, Josh and Cameron were completely on top of everything! I told Josh that I was a perfectionist on day one and he didnt let me down. His crews were timely, hard working, good communicators and took great care and respect of my property. I highly recommend Cutting Edge to anyone wanting a high-end project at a reasonable price!

Before reading this review please know they came back out to fix but some of the issues below which are worse now than originally stated. It would have been better if they not come back at all. Whatever you do keep Tyler away from your house.This guy came out and made all the issues below worse. For one when fixing the window which still by the way passes cold air he installed my blind backwards and left dirty hand prints on them. When addressing the leaking downspout he undid the gutter cover and never put it back. When trying to clean the stained gutters he came in the rain and said he couldnt do it cause of the weather. They said they would fix the crooked fence and never came back. Now the side gate wont even open with out sheer Force.Using this place was the worse mistake.Found them off home advisor. I advise not. Now please read the original review below.I had this company do a lot of work to my house, they did my siding, roof,gutters, built a fence, drywall my garage ceiling, install a new 8 window, and painted my entire house. Its been about a 1.5 years since all this work took place.However now that the year has passed, I have noticed some defects in the workmanship. The window they installed passes cold air in the winter and on windy days I can feel the cold air pouring in. The downspout over my deck drips in a hard to repair spot. I would have to take the whole thing down to really fix it. This is one really chaps me I had them build a double gate fence. The fence is already sagging badly and very uneven. The gate is all bowed out on the bottom and wont last very long. The white gutters are all stained now from the rain running off the new roof tiles On the flip side the roof is solid for now and the siding and paint turned out great. Overall for 50k I know I could have done better. Think before you ink with these guys.

The contractors did a good job on my roof as far as I can tell, however when it came to repairing the drywall inside my house (which was included in the contract) it took four months and weeks of phone calls from myself to get them to complete the job. In the end I had to inform the project managers that I would be employing an outside contractor to complete the work and proceed with acquiring reimbursement through cutting edge as I had already paid for the job. At that point they set up a time a week out to fix the drywall and it still took the contractor three days to complete because communication was poor between project managers and contractors and it was clear they had other job sites that they were working on. My bathroom was unusable for three days while they completed a job that should have taken one.If going with this company make sure you do not sign the completed work form until all work, even if it’s minimal, is completed.

Beware!!!!! Only use these guys if you want a fantastic, clean and professional job done right! Top notch communication, workmanship and materials used on my project. Job was completed on time and property was left cleaner than when they arrived. Would defiantly recommend and will use cutting edge for all future projects.

Crew did adequate job on roof: crew polite, cleaned up after each day, over all good experience with team working on site. Roof looks good. Thank you!Area of opportunity is in the communication process with project managers and job foreman. Specifically, had some electrical wires that were exposed on roof; Would have been better to been made aware of situation; instead the wires were covered with plywood and staples put through. Power went out; when I inquired, I was told this was a coincidence. After hours of investigation by electrician; found in fact problem as stated above. When I addressed with project foreman, quoted electrical code book as the wires should not of been exposed. I agreed, and thought would have been nice if they educated crew to have a basic understanding that if wire exposed at roof line, just tell the home owner to save lots of money investigating and repair costs.Wanted to share in hopes of saving other homeowners similar challenges.

We had a great experience working with Tyler and the construction crew. They replaced our roof and installed new gutters with no problems. We had some water leaking into our house at one point, but Tyler had someone on his crew at our house within 30 minutes to fix the problem. Our new roof looks great and there are no more water leaks. The only complaint that I have is that I found several nails and screws on the ground after the project was completed. Other than that, everything was great.

Great company and I would highly recommend them. They did my roof, some stone and stucco work on the front of my house as well as completly built out my wine cellar. All work was excellent! The constant interaction and communication by Joe and the entire crew was amazing! Clean-up during and after all projects was fantastic! They were very flexible and accommodating!

Brandon provided excellent customer service. He kept us apprised at every step, let us know when anything went off at all (supplies did not arrive exactly when expected, and a vent needed to be offset to allow replacement of solar equipment; additional chimney flashing was needed). Still finished within our expected time frame, and at the cost estimated. That cost fit in between other estimates we obtained from other roofers. Finished product looks (and feels-I went up to inspect) very good all around. Kudos to Mario & crew for setting a good, professional pace.

Contracted with Cutting Edge to replace roof; while they were here doing the estimate, they repaired a small patch that was devoid of shingles altogether. Once work commenced, they were amazingly fast, and the work was excellently done; so well, in fact, that we then contracted with them to replace the windows and install new siding in a follow on contract. 5 stars all the way!

In June of 2016, we contracted with Cutting Edge Contracting to side our entire house with Hardy Cement Siding after getting a couple of bids for other type siding. The vinyl priced about the same but quality was not there. We ordered product and they planned the start date for August. We worked Brandon on the bid and setting up the date. Brandon kept us in the loop for the 6 weeks prior to the start date that we were on time and things look good, which if youve ever had any type of construction done. thats unusual! They started on time as promised. It took a little more time because we ran into unforeseen problems and had to replace a lot of boards (older house). Brandon brought the crew in over the weekend so they could finish on time. There were questions and minor issues along the way and Brandon was just a phone call away. He was very accessible which we appreciated so much. On the last day he was out here with his crew double checking to make sure there were no remaining debris. I cant say enough good things about this company or Brandon. Things didnt go perfect but they ended perfect. Its a little nerve wracking when youre spending that kind of money and I feel like the employees of Cutting Edge knew that and they were all very respectful of that and all of our crazy questions. We will use them again in the future.

Cutting Edge replaced our roof and gutters for our 2 story house this summer and did a great job. They came back to follow up on all the final details that we needed attended to like clean up etc. The workers they used were respectful, cautious and friendly. We had such a great experience, we are considering them as a builder for a 2nd vacation cabin to be built in 2017.

After going through the bidding process; I chose to go with Cutting Edge because they spent the time sitting down with me and reviewing the whole roof situation, they also took me outside to point out issues and then pictures they took on the roof. The other bids were simply 20-30 minutes at the house and a written bid at the end with little discussion.The roofing team that performed the task, were professional, worked long hours to complete the job and spoke with me several times about what they were finding on the roof.A totally positive experience all the way around, the sales people and workers seemed to work as a team and the results showed that effort. When it was time to clean up, I would have to say it was cleaner after they left than before they arrived.I would have no problem recommending Cutting Edge to friends, family and neighbors.

Project: Install new Asphalt Shingle Roof, Versetta Stone, Crown molding, new seals on garage door, Covered Gutters, Paint/Seal entire exterior and poured new Concrete walk ways with a sealant covering.Basically we did the entire exterior of the home. The entire Cutting edge crew were efficient, professional and worked 10+ hours each day, cleaned up daily, and completed the jobs in a timely manner (weather dependant). The crews went above and beyond in every aspect of the project. They have a top-notch team of professional that really know their job. Israel, Josh and Cameron are equally professional and eager to meet the customers needs. They were honest, fair and good communicators in every step of the process. They were all outstanding!!! Being novices and asking a bunch of questions and what about this or that and at times may have been annoying, each time they reassured my wife and I with a “No worries we handle this all the time and it will work out “ as well as “Just wait once the job is completed it will be what you thought.” You know what, Josh was right! Josh consistently communicated and kept us in the loop on the details of our project and answered all of our questions. The work was smooth, and clean. I cant say enough about the crews and how respectful they were. We installed all new gutters, with material that will free me from any further maintenance on my house and I like that. My wife got the ginger bread she wanted in the front entry way with crown molding and with the competed exterior done we feel we have the best home on the block. What places them on our A list is that they are very efficient, trustworthy, did what they said when they said they would and had fair prices using high-grade quality material. Cutting Edge Contracting was quick and easy to work with. Literally from signing the paper to start of work was only a few days. They did an amazing job on the roof, and even when they ran into some snags, they were quick to resolve. They took care of all my concerns prior to the start of the work.

Cutting Edge gave our 1965 home a complete makeover. They replaced rotted fascia and completed a beautiful exterior paint job. Cameron and Josh were professional, communicative, and courteous. Their team exceeded expectations.

We hired Cutting Edge to replace our Siding, install new Entry and Garage doors, as well as replace our gutters. They were very professional in their assessments, recommendations, and giving us a quote that matched our needs. They took a small down payment and had their team out to our house in the next few days to begin the work. I was impressed with how fast and meticulous the workers were. They did a great job removing our old siding and paid attention to every little detail while installing the new Hardie Board. They put flashing everywhere and boxed out all outlets and lights, etc. Even better, they cleaned up the work site every night and picked up broken wood and stray nail. This was important to me as I have a toddler and didn’t want him getting hurt.I was very impressed with how quick the job went and how well the workers onsite transformed my house. Even though they worked fast, they didn’t rush the project or cut any corners. Overall I’d say my assessment is that this is a great company to hire. They aren’t the cheapest, but it’s clear through the quality of their work, that it is money well spent. We’ve since hired them again to paint our house and they are designing a new deck/patio area for us as the next phase in our remodel.

I have been in my home for almost 20 years and while it was designed and built with many perks, it was also built using the faulty LP siding used in the 90s! Anyone that ever owned a house with this siding can understand how badly one feels when it starts falling apart and allowing other structural problems to present themselves.My home began to depreciate in value and it became obvious that waiting was no longer an option. I had received estimates from 4 companies including Cutting Edge. Two contractors were vague in their estimates and explanation of the work to be performed. Brandon worked up an estimate for the work I wanted and pointed out potential areas that might conceal the weathering/rot conditions that were probably present and would need to be addressed for the work to be done at the highest level of proficiency.Hiring a home contractor is not something homeowners do often so after listening to Brandons explanation of work on his estimate, seeing the finished Hardie plank and Trex samples and reading the many positive reviews from customers I decided to have Cutting Edge do the work.All work was completed a couple of weeks ago and I cannot say enough for this company. Brandon and his foreman were ALWAYS available to keep me up to date on each step of the siding replacement. In addition I had them built a covered deck over my old postage stamp size concrete patio. I can not be happier with their work, work ethic and dedication to pleasing their customer. In addition they cleaned up each day after work and again at the end of the work. Cutting Edge is the most professional, quality, ethical, and personable contracting company in the Portland area. I have had nothing but great experiences with the project managers (Sean, Brandon, Joe, Cameron, & Israel). No other contractor compares.

We are having a lot of work done on our house including a new roof and siding. Home Advisor referred us to this company along with a few others. They made several phone calls and we eventually decided to have them quote some jobs. We made an appointment for noon on a Saturday. We usually go out of town on the weekends but we really need to get these projects going so we stayed in town. They never showed up. They insisted they called but the only call I got that day was from someone on the east coast. My wife insisted we give them another shot so we rescheduled for today at 4:00. Guess what...no show! They did call to apologize and the guy seemed nice. But if you have an appointment scheduled, just be there. No phone tag. No well, I tried calling. No excuses. Just be there. We have had several bids on these projects and literally every other company was there exactly when they said they would be. And guess what: they dont waste our time so they will get the jobs.

I understood the products and relationship I could expect from everyone at Cutting Edge from the knowledable sales representatives to the people redoing my roof. I felt comfortable voicing any concerns, and I felt I was treated courteously and respectfully throughout. I received comprehensive responses to every question and/or comment. Customer service and the roofing job Cutting Edge provided are excellent. I loved being able to choose green - a color not available at 3-4 other roofing companies I looked into. I also appreciate that their products are locally made and specific to the Pacific Northwes climate.

I hired Cutting Edge to tear off the vinyl and cedar siding on my 1922 home, replace with Hardie siding, and paint. We definitely ran into some glitches along the way, due to the age of my home and nature of this type of project. The end result was beautiful, but Im giving 4 stars because the management and oversight of the project was lacking in some areas. While its frustrating to have your project delayed as much as mine was, I do understand this is, in large part, due to the high demand for construction right now and shortage of skilled workers. The crews utilized for my project were skilled so I cant complain there. Also, despite my grievances throughout the project, Cutting Edge provided fair compensation for the inconvenience.

Josh and Cameron of Cuttiung Edge have completed the roof replacement on my house as they have described. They used superior products, excellent workmanship, kept a meticulous work site and completed the project on time. Great work.

Great crew, had a few different contractors at my home doing work and they were easily the best and most communicative.

The fellas working for me were exceptional! Tyler and Joe my project managers reminded me of my own boys! They presented themselves very well and helped direct me to a decision to employee their company over six other outfits i had received estimates from! Frankly, they had to work for my sell, because I dont like giving up a buck. Jonathon and Jose are two hard working skilled roofers. Jonathon is the hardest working young man i have witness in recent memory, he had no limit on the three days he worked for me, very polite, very respectful and very professional. At the end of each day, their job site, my yard, was picked up and cleaned so well, you could not tell anything from the tear off hit the ground. Ill give this crew of fellas 5 gold stars!

These guys did a great job repainting our old Craftsman bungalow - we appreciated their communication throughout the project and the excellent work the crew did on-site.

Cutting Edge did a terrific job on my badly damaged roof. They scheduled me quicly and did a very thorough job of repairing the roof problems before puting the new roof on, They were very thoughtful in not disrupting the street and neighbors any more than was neccessary. I am very pleased with my new roof.
