Plenty of parking, and there are only a handful of people in the mornings, so you dont have to wait for machines. Locker room area and bathrooms are clean, staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Gym goers are respectful and mind their own business, probably what I love best about this gym. Only setbacks are they dont have most strongman training implements (yokes, tires, logs, atlas stones etc.) a reverse hyper machine or push and pull sleds. They got great squat racks with high pull up bars and you can also do Olympic lifts on, sadly you cant use chalk. Although, grunting and dropping weights isnt frowned upon, so its got that going for it. Face masks are encouraged but not enforced, but you must enter and exit with a face mask.Overall, I would say its definitely not a strongman, powerlifting, bodybuilding, or crossfit gym. But if you wanna go to a gym with plenty of parking, not so many gym goers that are considerate and mind their own business then this is the gym for you. Its why I love this gym.
Have been going here for about 9 months or so and only have great things to say. Gym is very clean, staff are friendly, equipment is great, and not overcrowded even during peak hours. Strongly recommend!
This is my first time going to the gym and I could not be happier with the place I chose.The staff is really amazing and sweet and are just on a good vibration. The equipment is top and the environment is very relaxed and welcoming.When I move, I hope to get the same where I go as I do here 5/5

Everyone has their own opinion or experience but I personally think Golds gym is the gym to be. Ive always wanted to workout but wasnt really comfortable going by myself til i signed up with Golds gym & gave it a try & now I go almost everyday. The staff there is pretty chill, everyone minds their own business. Im just saying, if youre new to making changes then you should def sign up.
I joined with a one month membership while I was in town dealing with a family emergency. The gym was clean and all the staff was extremely professional and kind. If I lived in the area I would definitely make this place my home gym.

I have been a member of Golds Vancouver since it opened. Ive been training with Cara for a long time and feel really strong! Some members of the welcome staff recognize me and call me by name when I enter and leave which is always nice and appreciated. I have never felt pressured to buy products or sign up for classes that didnt meet myneeds or interest.
I was a member to this gym for well over 4 years. I never complained about the price because I liked the service they provided. Mind you I paid over $150 a month for the enhanced membership and team training, never had a problem with my payment and sadly enough I brought other people to sign up too. Before covid hit they changed management, with that came staff changes. When they closed down for covid the sent out an email saying they would credit your account when the gym opened again, never happened. The staff they brought in has absolutely no knowledge about anything. It is astonishing the poor training they must receive. Then when Nathan gets involved, (because he’s got the fancy manager title) he resolves absolutely nothing. They refuse to give you a number to contact someone to help you out. They charged me for 11 team training sessions towards the end of my membership, I got 2. My sister was charged for 3 months after she canceled her membership, never even got a phone call about scheduling any sort of training they just charged her for. I asked a manager about it he said well we don’t have time to call members. My friend was sent to collections during covid when they were closed! Nathan said pay they balance to collections and then we can talk. What! Such poor service. Arrogant, condescending, passive aggressive management. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Theyre disrespectful & FAKE 🙄. I scheduled a first-time visit to learn about the facility when I was gym shopping (Vancouver Mall location) before COVID-19. At the end of the walkthrough, they tried pushing a contract onto me and when I repeatedly and respectfully told them I will get back to them as I only wanted a walkthrough, they totally changed their tone and referred me to another more attractive & muscular employee as a tactic of intimidation and control, which was uncomfortable and creepy. Their customer service is so scripted and passive aggressive. Its an expensive but nice and clean gym equipment-wise, but once you dont do exactly what they want you to, the vibe totally changes to pushy and snarky.
I enjoyed my time at the Vancouver Mall Golds overall. It was an unfortunate end, but sometimes God closes one door to open another. Thanks to all the staff for providing me a place to be when it was super cold outside and I had no where else to go. Thanks for allowing me to tan a little to get warm. Thanks for allowing me to sit in the massage chairs and work on my businesses and massage my terribly aching feet and back from carrying that heavy backpack.Being homeless was the hardest thing Ive done to date and Im so grateful that Golds will be part of my story. I have never seen a more complete gym than this one! This gym has all the machines you could ask for in a gym! The customer service is also excellent and staff help answer all of your questions! This gym is definitely worth the drive from Portland!

Terrible customer service. My girlfriend signed up for a special they were having 4 training classes for $100. That sounds nice. But what they DIDNT tell us was that this was $100 a month till you cancel. I was skeptical about the deal, so I asked three different front desk employees(two of them being managers) at three different times, asking about the classes and charges my GF signed up for. They all told me the same thing, 4 classes, $100. no more, no less. Fast-forward, the gyms shut down again so my GF didnt get to finish the 4 classes. Once the gyms opened up again, they charged her card AGAIN for $100. I called and asked to please reverse the payment, we dont want the classes. They said sorry please email member services. So I emailed member services, and they hit me with the signed contract attached in the email. They said it was 4 classes a month for $100 indefinitely till its cancelled. I explained that we were miss led, confused, and frustrated with the customer service we received and we wanted a refund on the $100. In the end they cancelled the classes but said they needed a 30 day notice, so they will charge my GFs card another $100 next month. What a joke right? I know its the customers responsibility to read the contract, but the leadership team seamed very confident in communicating what we were signing. Im still fighting this. If the customer isnt happy, you would thing they would listen, or care. But they dont. Ive been a member for four years, Ill be looking for a new mom and pap gym if they dont make this straight.
Golds gym lost my card on file that pulls directly from my account not once but twice. Second time it was the beginning of the pandemic, so they were closed. I moved to another address, then around December I got a collection call saying I owe $200. Seems like they could have emailed me! I tried to explain my situation to them but golds had no interest in helping me. Now credit score is damaged. I have other friends that have said golds has screwed them during this pandemic as well. Terrible customer service!!
Friendly staff, good rates, good equipment. Cardio room with projector screen for movies. Awesome place. I was worried about the location being at the mall. It might as well be a separate building. No parking issues, no mall traffic or mall entrance. The gym is essentially by itself. Its great.
Golds gym is new and extremely nice. The cleanliness is exceptional. Top of the line equipment. Inexpensive membership. The cardio theater room is a huge bonus to this gym. I love watching a movie on the big screen while doing cardio. 😍
Do not go here! Gym is always busy after 4:00pm.I moved during the pandemic and I emailed them asking to cancel my membership and they were not willing to work with me. Terrible customer service, sent my husband to collections (during lock down), even though their emails state that we do not need to worry or do anything during that time.Also, I noticed that they only reply to their positive reviews on here and never apologize.
With being the first time going back since the closures. The staff was very friendly and went over all the new requirements. Just was good to he back. Also was very nice that the gym was not overcrowded as it was pre closure. Great place to work out and very friendly environment.

Here’s my only feedback. Everyone trying to listen to their own music and they turn up the music so load that you can barely hear your own music. It’s loud enough so don’t turn it up throughout the day. Seriously, your music isn’t That great. If it was, no one would be listening to their own music. Pay attention to your members vs company policy.
I showed up to this gym trying to use my active and fit membership which is covered with golds gym, apparently this is a franchise and they do not offer. I drove all the way out there (over 25 miles) to go work out with my wife, asked if I could then just do a day pass they said no they don’t offer that anymore. Now I see that there is an option for a free pass and a day pass. So thanks for wasting a hour and a half of my day.
***Wheelchair friendly*** I had first came to this gym and looked around and really liked it a lot being in a wheelchair I was looking for some type of cycling machine that I can get onto. I saw the one for disabled people and went to it . It was missing the ramp to wheelchair up onto to use it. I brought it to the attention of the GM “Nathan” and he wonder where it was also or how it worked. He told me he would work on getting it fixed and figured out !!The following week he called me up and said the ramp had never been ordered with the machine and they are going to get it into ASAP ... I give the gym five stars due to the fact that they took it very serious on the matter and handled it very quickly....I’ve been a member to this gym since it has open and will be for a very long time .... they have just about everything you need in here and it’s great for anyone in a wheelchair !!!Thank you again golds gym and to nathan great job!!!
Horrible customer service, don’t go there. No guess pass for gold gym members from different states. I’m sure if you are a member, you can workout in any gold gym.

Hi everyone,Its a great establishment with many luxurious aspects that has made it appealing to me, not only is it spacious but they provide drink services for example protein shakes and the like (not alcohol), they also have zumba classes available here which is what I personally have been looking for. This is one of the worst gyms I have ever been at. I cannot get on half of the machines, then I have to deal with a passive aggressive entitled manager that is better at quoting company policy instead of guest relations. The manager Nicole even had the nerve to tell me what I can or cannot say. I am a former military officer who has fought overseas, I refuse to listen to a child tell me what I can or cannot do. The others working out is great, but the new generation of kids needs to learn how to speak to others. I refuse to pay them another dime. If Golds doesnt like it, call my lawyer.
I’ve been a member here for about a year and I just love it! Best gym in Vancouver! It’s always clean, cool, and well-maintained. I love the Cardio Cinema! And I’m totally hooked on the team training and small class sessions led by the most wonderful trainers Kenna, Emmit, and Theresa. What I especially like about this particular gym is how the front desk personnel are always so kind and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure they extend a warm greeting as guests arrive and a kind farewell as guests leave. I highly recommend Gold’s Gym in Vancouver. It really wonderful!
By far this is the best gym I have been to! I have tried SO many gyms. You name it... I’ve been there. None of them compare to golds. It really is a judge free zone. Not only do other gym goers show it but also all the staff and trainers. I must give the staff props for being so personal and nice... they know their members names and ALWAYS greet people kindly. This gym is als exceptionally clean and all machines are well taken care of. It is worth every penny. Thanks to the good nature of this gym I am finally reaching my fitness goals and feel better than ever. 🤗🤗🤗
We’ve been coming here for years.. even though we’ve gotten into shape and outta shape (when we slack.. lol) but through it all Carly has been here! She started as a staff member and now is the operations manager after putting her time in! I could t be happier to see her in this position.. she deserves it more than anyone! She’s a great manager! I love this gym. Rob and Carly are the greatest. Always greet me with a smile. The equipment is good and clean. Not crowded. Surprisingly good gym etiquette and the cardio cinema room is a lot of fun.
Clean gym and great environment!! I have been a member at quite a few gyms in town over the years and would say that Golds is definitely where its at! Vancouver location has friendly staff, great equipment and a fun environment. The cleaning crew is always at work keeping the place looking great. When we utilize the kids club every experience has been perfect and our daughter has a ton of fun! I give Golds 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ ALL DAY LONG!
I have been to several other gyms and they dont come close to Golds. Plenty of equipment, plenty of space for floor work, machines, free weights, etc. They even have a ballet bar. The equipment is well maintained and not broken for weeks like other places. The facilities are always spotless unlike some places where you can see the dust bunnies under the equipment.
What an amazing gym! The variety of equipment, classes included in their membership, and high-tech equipment is really outstanding. Its perfect for crossfit and has all your standard equipment too. They have a sweet cinema room, and big rooms that are open during classes that are nice and quiet. Walter was very knowledgeable and helpful! The employees make it such a nice experience. Highly recommend!!
This is the best gym I have ever been to. The gym is always clean with top of the line equipment. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Heather was amazing at helping me set up my corporate account and is always happy to help with any questions I have. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking to get in shape and have a great experience doing it.
Cleanest gym in Vancouver hands down! Convenient location, (the mall is pretty much in the center of everything, so everyone in Vancouver knows where it is) and there’s something for literally everybody here. I love how there are several different rooms in the gym- from the cycle room, cardio cinema, group X studio, group training room, etc. so if you want more of a private workout there’s always somewhere to escape and go do your own thing. Lots of open areas to stretch and warm up too, and the other unique thing about this gym is the awesome smoothie bar. Memberships that are affordable and flexible, good selection of free weights, multiple squat racks, friendly staff, affordable daycare, tanning and towels as well as brand new equipment make it a stand out gym as well. It’s also nice that there are separate saunas for men and women.
I have been going to Golds Gym for a little over a month and I am enjoying my experience so far. The staff is friendly and helpful and the facility is kept clean. I oddly like the smell of the lock room but that just goes to show that they keep that area clean as well.The weights go pretty heavy and there are machines that work out almost every part of your body. There are also different room for different exercises which is pretty cool.I would definitely recommend Golds Gym because of the experience I have so far. I have not been to any of the other gyms around the area but I dont think that I need to because I am happy with Golds Gym.
The atmosphere is really contemporary and energetic. The equipment is well kept and there are a lot of options depending on the type of workout you want to do that day. The staff has always been more than helpful with any questions or concerns. Highly recommend 👍
I like the Team Training and Small Group Training with a Personal Trainer at Vancouver Gold’s Gym!. I prefer to do my workouts with a Trainer along with a few other people so this is perfect for me and I try to workout 4 to 5 days a week. The Trainer I primarily work with is Tylor and he is great! I’ve had back problems in the past and he has always been careful to make sure I am doing the exercises appropriately yet encourages me to strive to do more reps and increase the weights safely. Plus he’s very personable and makes the workout time “fly by.” As for results - I’ve lost over 25 lbs and several inches on my waist since January of this year (it’s now the end of August). I’ve also been able to work out with other Trainers (Kenna, Theresa, Emmett and Terrell) and all have been amazing and have taught me something new. I highly recommend the Team Training and Small Group Training at Gold’s Gym!
The gym is clean, equipment is in excellent condition, staff is always friendly, and prices are comparable. It is not the largest gym in the area, so during peak hours, it can be very crowded around the free weight area.

Review is based on customer service and how this franchise values their customers. The gym itself seems well maintained, although it is still a new gym. When it comes to their contracts definitely be careful. They require you to email them to cancel, and will refuse to refund you any money even if you havent used the membership in over 9 months, and were out of contract for 2. If you call and ask for help cancelling, the staff is less than friendly, and will just pawn all responsibilities and services to use of their member services email, which also takes a significant amount of time to respond. Youd think they would at least have a confirmation auto responder to make you feel like you werent just disregarded. I would strongly advise you to consider other gyms that actually value you as a customer and will exemplify that every time you talk to them. I refuse to go back to a Golds Gym no matter how new or nice the facility, simply because of how they treat their customers. You can find proof of this with a simple google search of golds gym customer service and the first thing that will pop up is a dissatisfied customer who doesnt feel that Golds Gym values their customers at all. I hope this review helps anyone considering this gym, and if you do decide to continue with a membership here, make sure you read ALL the fine print to fully understand what responsibilities you are accepting.
The daycare is often running illegally as far as staff/child ratio. I couldnt trust that they could watch my baby in there. So I had to cancel. If youve read other reviews then you know that this gym runs the whole scam of cancellation where they cant do it for you, you have to email that you want a cancellation. I guess thats better than the certified mail scam. Anyone with an iota of intellect can see its just a scam to get people to not cancel and it should be illegal. If that werent bad enough, the employee wrote email address out for me wrong accidentally. Luckily when I emailed it I noticed the failure to deliver email letting me know it was a fake email. So I went back in a got the right email address. Unlike some reviewers, they cancelled it after that without reaching out with phone calls, letters, emails, texts, house calls, or carrier pigeons, before cancellation that is really just another scam to keep people from cancelling. I cant believe some gyms still operate this way. QUIT THE SCAM TACTICS AND STOP BREAKING THE LAW IN YOUR CHILD CARE CENTER!
I’ve been to all the gyms in the Vancouver area and this one has to be the cleanest one I’ve worked out in. Has nice equipment and functional training area, which is nice to mix up your workouts. The staff has always been friendly and helpful! With a price a little cheaper than the local super sport, I’d definitely recommend checking it out if in search for a new gym.
Membership Cancellation Nightmares.PROSClean, variety of equipmentI moved and cancelled my membership. I had read the reviews so started this process more than a month before I intended to stop going. I first contacted via email. Response email sent to me instructed me to write another email and it would simply cancel my membership. I thought, those reviews were wrong, this is simply. I emailed the directed email, in which they replied I had to WRITE A LETTER AND SEND IT IN THE MAIL. So, although I was extremely put off on this system from 1998 of writing physical letters to a company in Arkansas, I completed the task.I gave the letter a few days and then emailed this company that gave me direction to send a letter, to see if they had received it. They claimed they had not, so I gave it a few more days. This should be completely illegal as they can be processing it as long as they would like. Of course - this rolled me not only into another billing cycle, but also my annual fee that I had completely forgot about, but added to this situation. I called a few days later again (to be clear - this is a call and letter to a company in Arkansas for a local Vancouver gym membership) - they had received the letter, but after a 20 minute phone call (no hyperbole, it was 20 full minutes) of being on hold and talking with someone who was attempting to complete this monumental task of cancelling a membership, I had hit the wall. I decided to not fight the fact it took them more than a week to process this letter and run me into a new billing cycle and my annual membership, I cut my losses and gave up.Coincidentally, Golds sent me a survey, so I filled it out, explaining that I enjoyed my time at the gym, but this process of cancellation was unlike anything I had ever experienced out of 10+ gyms throughout the country Ive been apart of. This process will result in me staying away from any Golds gym in the future. (I have had other Golds memberships - none of them were this difficult to cancel - not even close). I was surprised to see an email back from the manager from the gym. He did seem to care about the situation, and was confused why I had to send a letter - to which I provided him all the information and prior emails. I told him I didnt expect anything out of him, just recommended they reevaluate how they deal with cancellations. I did appreciate the time he spent looking into the situation.I never had any issues with any of the employees, gym itself, my recommendation is to be very clear on the process to cancel your gym membership as this is different than other gyms.Writing a letter to cancel was never discussed when I signed up, I would have absolutely mentally noted that as it is extremely off putting. The reason they want a letter instead of an email is specifically to try and get a few more days out a membership and roll them into another month of charges, which is what occurred with me. The verbiage from the email states We have received your request to cancel your membership. However, per the terms of your agreement, your cancellation request can only be accepted if received via regular mail, or certified mail. Our address is listed below. I love Golds Gym at the Vancouver Mall!! I’ve been a member for a couple of years and was a former member of 24hr Fitness. I love the friendly staff and great atmosphere! It’s extremely clean and all the equipment is in excellent condition. I love this club so much I decided to become a Spin Instructor and teach classes now.
I had a great workout and got my burn on!!!
Golds Gym in Vancouver, WA is best gym in the area. Staff is friendly, gym is clean and they have great equipment. The group classes are so fun and you gotta love the cinema area! Watch a movie and workout, how cool is that?!?!?! I would recommend this gym to my family and friends.
Came in for a free 3 day pass and ended up leaving with a membership. As an previously unhappy 24 hour fitness member I am so happy with how Golds gym treats the members like family. My husband and I just signed up for a membership here. The gym is very clean with some of the best equipment. The GM and staff are friendly and knowledgeable.We can’t wait to try out out some of the classes and group training. I’m also pretty excited about the cycle/cardio theater room.I’ve been hopping around gyms for the last few years but I’m pretty sure I’m sticking with this one!

Quality gym with high quality equipment and higher quality staff! Jeff, the manager, runs a great ship! Hes very friendly, always coms up to say hi, and makes sure that all your needs are met. When our daughter was going through cancer treatment, Jeff and his family helped us so much and he always asked how she was doing and made sure we got everything we needed.This gym has great members, a great staff, and an awesome vibe!
Hands down the best gym in the city! The equipment selection is second to none and the entire facility is always “hospital clean”. The bar of genuinely friendly is set high by the manager Jeff, who clearly leads by example. Anyone looking for an awesome gym, the search stops here.
My favorite part of this gym would be the staff and the way each one interacts with the customers. Whether it’s just entering or leaving, working out with a trainer, or as little as a smile to say “hi,” the staff truly treats you like extended family. Treating me like I’m your friend and not just another customer is one of the many reasons I remain loyal to Gold’s.

Been going to Golds Gym in Vancouver practically since they opened and have stayed ever since. Management is great along with their friendly front desk workers. Nice machines also plenty of racks for compound lifts. Highly recommend joining.
Nice facility with some decent features and a few really nice staff members however, management will do anything and tell whatever lie they need to to get you to join up. I came in with a published deal on a membership with certain features. Once I attended a few times and tried to access those features they completely denied ever selling the membership and when I showed them proof they pretty much admitted that that has been a scam. It took me several months to get them to stop charging me the membership fee.
Beware cancellation fees. Even if you are paying month to month, you must give 30 days written notice before they will cancel. You are also responsible for any ADDITIONAL fees falling in that 30 day window (such as annual fee). You must include your contract number. You can cancel by sending your request to cancel to memberservices@goldsgym1965; include your contract number, which you can get from your gym. You must also include your address, phone, and reason for leaving. Omit anything and it doesnt stick.The gym is spacious and clean and functional. They dont participate in the (free) Medicare Silver & Fit program.
I have been a member at every gym out there and none of them compared to my experience at Golds Gym! The employees are super friendly and the trainers dont mind giving you pointers even though you cant afford extensive training packages. I recommend Golds Gym to everyone no matter where youre at in youre abilities. Whether you are a beginner or a body builder they have what you need!!

Dont waste your time if you want to see what the gym is like. They screwed me out of over $200 for only using the gym four times. Dont speak with Rob. He has a mighty attitude that likes to argue with you and claims that gym goers arent the first priority. Any one would have any better luck going to planet fitness and that says a lot on its own. Wouldnt even give this place a one star if i could.

Every time I go in I’m greeted with a smile and they are so helpful get me in my tanning bed ASAP and clean every time. The equipment is all top knotch and plenty of equipment available. Never have to wait for anything. The training manager Megan is so helpful and polite and Carly is a gem!
I’ve been a member of this gym since they opened. My experience has been amazing. I was over weight and out of shape. I’m now down 89 lbs... 70 since joining and within 15 lbs of my goal weight.... that’s with having both knees replaced. Emmitt, my trainer, has held me accountable, pushing me whenever I’ve needed it. The encouragement and genuine caring I’ve received from everyone in this gym has kept me on track. From the smile and welcome you get when you walk in..to all the wonderful people I’ve gotten to know and met in the classes offered, this Gym has it all. If you want to put in the work, they will help you reach whatever goal you set for yourself. This gym, and the wonderful employees have truly helped me change my life...
Absolutely the best gym in Vancouver. Been coming here since shortly after they opened. Staff and the manager, Jeff are always so friendly and helpful.
One of the better gyms in the area. Equipment is good, no stupid equipment taking up space. 4 squat racks, tons of benches and dumbbells. Awesome front desk staff.
Due to conflicting hours with kids club my girlfriend decided to cancel her membership which i pay for. Her agreement was for a no contract membership and i understand after about a month or two we get charged a one time annual membership fee. on top of 2 annual fees(mine and my girlfriends) i was charged an additional fee that was way higher than the monthly membership. Also due to these weird numbers i decided to take a look at the agreement and we were signed up for another service that we never discussed with the club Manager.If you are thinking of getting a membership here, please understand that you will be paying much more than you had originally been told.
I have been with this gym for over a year. I have been receiving personal training from Emmitt for the last 5 months and have seen incredible results. I’m stronger then I’ve ever been. I’m More knowledgeable about my form, eating habits, and way more educated on how to achieve my long term/short term goals. Thank you Emmitt for everything you do for me and my health!!! You truly make my gym time the best part of my day!
All the trainers and staff people are friendly and very encouraging. They have helped me to feel more confident and feel excited about coming to the gym. They always greet me by my first name and with a smile. I always have a blast with my teammates in class. They know how to push me and keep me positive. Working with my personal trainer Emmitt Johnson has been the best experience of my life. I have set goals with him and he has helped me to exceed them (starting weight was 130, weight as of right now is 117). I really do appreciate the hard work he has put in with me, guiding me and providing support. He is always available for questions and concerns. His diet plan, playlist, and workouts really do work, I am proof of that. My kids say I look awesome and I feel amazing. Thank you Golds Gym for being an inspiration :-). Watch out world, here is the new me.

Nice, clean gym and the staff is friendly. There are lots of machines, a cinema room, and saunas! However, what really keeps me coming back daily is the amazing trainers. Kelly, Kim, and Kai are amazing people who teach great classes!
I switched to this place after 24 hrs fitness. This place is very clean and not so crouded. I love their sauna and group classes: zumba, body pump, yoga and bare class.
I love this gym. It is my home away from home. I have been coming here forAlmost two years. I’ve been a member of several gyms in this area and this is by far the best! All staff is very friendly and down to earth. The janitotial staff works their tails off keeping this place sparkling. There is something for everyone (except a pool) for all body types and fitness levels. I have never felt intimidated here. There are some serious fitness people (as at most gyms) but everyone seems very friendly and respectful. I have never felt that “meat market” vibe here and people have always seemed willing to help if I asked. The personal training staff is AMAZING. They’re versatile, knowledgeable, friendly and fun. It’s honestly hard to pick just one. They have group fitness classes provided in the membership as well as tanning if you’d like...or you can save money and not do tanning...I’d recommend the team training or small group fitness classes as an added bonus into your routine. I’ve made several friends from these classes and at the gym itself. As far as some of the other reviews I’ve read about the contract issues, they are VERY clear about the contract and were never misleading about what you’re signing up for so I’m not sure what that’s all about but it’s not different than joining most other gyms, phones, tanning ect and their contracts. The prices are super fair for what you’re getting..oh and the kids club is the only place I’ve been able to find that my kids are actually excited to go.
This gym is clean, has a variety of equipment and plenty of space. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The majority of bad reviews on here are from people who did not get the specifics of their process of cancellation. Jeff the manager was very clear when I signed up how the process worked. You are responsible for cancellation directly so the staff doesnt accidentally misplace info which I can tell you from experience happens a lot at other gyms. You can also forward a copy of the cancellation to a manager in order to make sure the date and copy was set in place. If I wasnt building my own home gym in Ridgefield I would definitely keep working out at this gym. Everyone is very professional and there is plenty of equipment and space even at peak hours.
I have been with Golds for a year now. Recently I wanted to upgrade my membership and had some confusion over charges that came out of my account. Went through a few people before Meagan helped me. She was so patient as I tried to wrap my head around what she was explaining. I really appreciated her attitude and kindness. She took time and never showed any frustration as I took a few tries to get it. Thank you. Your overall staff has been wonderful and is one of the many reasons I choose Golds over any of the many gyms in Vancouver. Tama L.
This was the worst experience ever dealing with a business! The turned my under age son into college, could not get it taken care of. Texted called. Last call was the worst so rude unprofessional, interrupting every time I spoke.will be contacting their corporate office. And the better business bureau! I hope no one lets their teenagers join this gym!!!!!
I love this gym! All the members a dope. The staff is pretty awesome. The gym is by far, hands down the best. The equipment is perfect for people wanting to lift and go hard. I do wish they had more machines for glutes. That is kind of a big deal. I wish the hours were earlier on the weekends. Me and many other members want the gym open earlier on the weekend!!Now I have read issues about cancelling memberships. I think people today are just so f***ing lazy they cant even send an email. I had to cancel my husbands membership do to new work schedule and it was so simple. SEND AN EMAIL!!! DONE AND DONE. If you complain about something totally on you, thats pretty pathetic.
When my wife and I signed up for membership we made it extremely clear to Joshua that we only wanted to try personal training for one month and instead, he wrote down an expiration date 6 months later! Our credit card was repeatedly charged even though we tried to cancel. They refused full refund and told us we had to cancel 30 days in advance even though the training paperwork said nothing about that and I have a copy of it. They are now not returning my phone calls and contact with member services is also being ignored. This is VERY poor customer service, unprofessional, and not how you treat members if you want them to stay members! I do not recommend this gym to anyone!
Great gym, clean and the staff is excelent. Never been anything but helpful. All the one star reviews sound like people that dont know how gym memberships work. Know your contract and follow instructions and its not a problem. For now Im staying a member!12/3/18 Update: Still awesome!
I have had no problem with this gym, there is enough equipment for how many people are there the time I go which is around 4. Obviously all the equipment is new and works just fine. They have a bunch of cardio machines if thats what your into. The staff has always been nice and friendly and have not pressured me into anything when I was signing up or received a tour. If you are looking for a place just to strictly work out, condition, and train, this is your spot!
Unless you want to be scammed and have fraud happened to your credit card do not go to this gym my boyfriend and I went to the gym and my boyfriend said he would be the primary and signed us up to work out there he was supposed to pay the bill I was told to sign paperwork that was liability for me to use the equipment come to find out the paperwork they did actually have me sign was paperwork saying if my boyfriend did not pay the bill but they would hold me accountable for billing I was never told this I was never presented with this paperwork even though my signature is somehow on the paperwork do you not go to the gym they will screw you over Im telling you it is a mess,there are lots of other gyms that are more responsible and they will not try to fraud you worst thing yet is the bill that I received in the mail has my boyfriends full credit card number on the bill which means if him and I were not still together and I wanted to run his credit card up I could because they gave me his personal information be careful you guys dont go to this gym if you do you will regret it!
Nice, clean gym. Way better than LA fitness. A little on the smaller side but I havent seen it get too full yet. It has a $40 yearly fee for everyone but since I got a monthly price of $20 it saves me money over LAs $30 per month.No pool or basketball court but I never use those.
Biggest liars ever DO NOT SIGN UP HERE !!!!! you been warned hidden fees all over the place the guy that signed me up i asked him specifically about this and if its month to month he said he was a ex marine so i took his word that it was month to month after not going for 3 months and got charged (i dont care about that thats not the problem) i tried to cancel they told me i couldnt do it in the gym so then i had to email their customer services back and forth to cancel only to find out i have another 6 months on my contract CONTRACT this guy told me it was month to month and now reading other peoples reviews all of them are believable .. if u dont believe me sign up at this place and you will be kicking your self in 3 months

DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM.Absolutely the worst gym I have ever joined. Staff is nice until you join then they are total jerks.Their month to month is A TOTAL SCAM.I did my part to cancel as they requested, came into the gym personally and let them know I would be leaving the country for a few months and would no longer need my membership. They gave me a piece of paper with a email and confirmation number to use to cancel because they cant do it from the gym. So I did this, even though every other gym Ive ever joined has always had no problem canceling from the front desk. I left for my trip (missionary service, helping public schools in Honduras get there electrical systems working properly and safe for the teachers and students)When I got back after 6 months, I had collections calling me saying my balance was $260!!! Mind you my month to month service was $30 a month! The collection person said they see I did try to cancel but golds gym wanted to call me first to see why I was canceling before they would accept my cancellation.What!!??I had no choice but to pay to get it taken care of and off my back but for golds gym I say you are completely insane, outrageous and a disgusting scam company. I WILL NEVER EVER JOIN A GOLDS GYM AS LONG AS I LIVE AND STRONGLY WORN YOU DONT EITHER.
This gym is disgusting. I called to cancel my account because of the sudden death of my mother. 6 months later I get a huge bill and was sent to collection. I experience harassment by one of the staff at one one point, oh my I could go on. I even wrote letters to reach out and ask for some break on the collection bill. I literally was billed for 7 months and never set foot in the gym. Not a call, not one attempt to let me know that my account was still active.This is a heartless place. If you do cancel you better get paperwork because there is no room for error. They do not care about you.
Probably one of the worst gyms that i have ever been to, the gym itself is very clean, and well maintained but be careful when you sign the papers, this gym will do anything possible to keep you from canceling your membership, and the fact that you have to send an email to cancel your membership is shady, customer service is terrible here, in fact my friend went in to try and cancel her membership and they REFUSED TO GIVE HER HER AGREEMENT NUMBER, OR THE ADDRESS TO CANCEL HER MEMBERSHIP, talk about terrible customer service.be careful this gym will do anything to over charge you, that is what prompted me to cancel my membership with them, i would rather pay more at 24 hour gym, the customer service is way better, never once got over charged in the 3 years that i was there. I am so happy to be back with them.
I been going to gold gym since it open. It always have friendly staffs and it a really clean gym. I been member of different gym over the year and by far this best gym in Vancouver.
The employees are so rude and dont care about you or anything. Asked about more information for cancelling my membership and was told Id receive a call, never did! Called back and left message AGAIN and never received a call. I came in and talked to a crabby male who is in charge of this and was told its a $260 cancellation fee!!!! Yeah I only pay thirty a month but oh my! Now I need to wait out my contract for six more months, ugh. Meanwhile, I joined Cascade Athletic Club in east Vancouver and LOVE it!!! The employees are so kind, classes are so fun and instructors are great! I do pay about $40 a month but cancelling is free because Im month to month and they have 3 pools, a jacuzzi, a steam room, and a dry sauna!!! Leave Golds asap and if youre considering joining, dont!
Stay far away from this place. Poor customer service poor billing. Cancelled my membership over a year ago and still tried to charge for a maintenance fee for a year we didnt use. Said I froze my account, would you freeze an account without an employee advising you to do that. Dont think someone would pull freeze an account out of the air! Then when you call the manager all they do is state policy. If you do speak to a manager and get Jeff you will have a better conversation with a brick. No knowledge of business at all! Again Stay Far away. Look online about Golds Billing before you join, I wish I did.
Sign up at any other gym.They play the same 1 or 2 movies for a week straight in the theater,People rarely wipe down the equipment when done.And the worst part,If you ever have to move or leave they will continuously tell you you didn’t cancel and keep charging you.Even when you have called multiple times trying to cancel they will lie until they steal an extra month or two of money from you.Greedy company that just wants your money, you will be happier at any other gym in the area.
I love coming to Golds Gym! Ever since this location opened the people that work there have been nothing but nice to me! Working out has never been better.
