This review is for everyone, but primarily clients of Dr Slocum’s office. My vet of 30 plus years retired and sold out to Wellhaven in Hazel Dell. My dog, needing some shots, prompted me to schedule an appointment for her. I was sad, as Dr Slocum and Dr Stephens, were truly the best vets ever. I was a little nervous going to a new vet since you have to stay in your car because of COVID. Everyone was prompt and very nice. I got a personal phone call from the vet during the appointment, addressing my concerns. Much to my surprise, it was Dr Stephens!!!!! Immediately, I felt at ease, as she has seen Harper many times at Dr Slocums office over the years. She proceeded to go over her findings and address my concerns, never rushing me. Wow, my fears were eliminated and I was so happy I gave them a try. I can tell you, Dr Stephens is great, and is all about you pets well being!

I absolutely love WellHaven! Their Hazel Dell location is always so friendly and understanding. Their number one goal is to make your pet feel safe and cared for in their care. I have an extremely anxious dog and they are so gentle and understanding of her background and work with me constantly to make sure she has the best experience in their care. They are also sure to educate me while they care for my two dogs, making sure Im in the loop! Ill never take my pups anywhere else!

My husband and I had to put down our little baby yesterday, she was 20 years old. I can not even begin to thank these people on how caring and supportive they were through the whole process. They respected that I was scared to be in the room but knew I didn’t want to leave my dogs side. They really care about animals and their patients. The hazel Dell location for well haven is the only place I will ever take any of my animals. The vet and her techs are the sweetest people I have ever met and are amazing with animals ❤️

We had a difficult time finding a veterinarian for our new kittens. We were very happy that Wellhaven was able to see us right away. They were very gentle with our cats when giving them their vaccines. The follow up on lab work was timely. Theyve been very responsive and were happy to have found a new veterinary home.

I want to thank Dr. Capper and the wonderful staff who helped me immensely during a very emotional time while the process to euthanize took place with my beloved Belle. She received the best in treatment all through her history with Well Haven, I am forever grateful. Thank-you.

Well haven went above and beyond to find out the diagnosis for our pet. They got us in as a new patient on an urgent care call. They listened to my concerns and went above and beyond to find the diagnosis. They are so helpful and personal it’s not just a job to them, it’s an amazing environment and I recommend them to anyone I meet!

So great that staff and docs really cared about our new dog and got us in quickly even though we were new to the clinic to make sure her symptoms were not serious. Friendly, attentive and kind and very clean facilities.

We needed a vet closer to where we live, & there were recommendations from folks in the area, via Nextdoor.com. We picked this one because many liked it & it was close by. So far, we are happy with them.

I needed to get in on an emergency as a new customer and they were able to fit me in quickly. My kitty Rico was not eating or using the litter box and scratching like crazy and I obviously became concerned. Thankfully it was nothing serious and he is doing much better. Dr, Capper was very going and kind and gave me her treatment recommendations and we were in and out in 30 minutes. We will come back again next time!

I have just moved to Vancouver and I have taken my dogs to Well Haven for six months now. My dogs are well taken care of and the staff are attentive and nice. I have no intention of taking my dogs anywhere else!

WellHaven Hazel Dell is hands down the BEST veterinary clinic Ive ever been to. Both Dr Capper and Dr Graham are phenomenal. The staff is amazing as well. I recommend them very highly!! They have taken such great care of all of our pets whether it be routine things, urgent matters or ongoing health concerns. Top notch. We love them!

My experiences at the Hazel Dell WellHaven have always been fantastic ~ we have been using Dr. Capper since Luna was a puppy. Luna is a one-year old German shepherd with high anxiety and Dr. Capper has always taken so much time and has been so understanding of our situation. Shes given me suggestions and reassured me when I get overwhelmed. I wouldnt consider taking my dog anywhere else. The staff is amazing and Dr. Capper is the BEST!

I needed a same day apt. For my dog in a time when Covid-19 is causing many vets to not see new patients and the walk in clinics sign up sheets are full 10 mins after being put out.WellHaven really stepped up for me by providing a next day apt. They specifically called me when they had a cancellation to get us in sooner than scheduled. My dog and I really appreciate WellHaven in Hazel Dell.The Vet spoke with me on the phone about my dogs condition for about 20 mins solid. He explained all the in and outs and the whys and how’s. Honestly the most in Depth conversation I’ve had with a Vet ever. They are usually in such a hurry. I appreciated being taken seriously and my dog getting great care.Highly recommend.Thank you!

We had to get our GSD in to see a vet immediately, his vet was out of town and the other vet was booked. Wellhaven got us in quickly and were very professional. They checked up on Zayne the following day. That was awesome! They truly cared about our pup. They also emailed me diet suggestions and natural remedies. I would highly recommend them.

Ive only had my rescue dog for 2 weeks and he has separation anxiety and doesntlike to be left alone.Due to COVID, I was told I couldnt go inside with him. Being his new mommy, I was very concerned because hes been through so much. My intial instinct was to cancel the appointment and go back when I could go inside with him. The staff was VERY understanding and assured me if my dog was ever uncomfortable they would reschedule.I have to say, Im so glad I continued. They were so wonderful and never made me feel like I was being overly protective. My dog loved them and the doctor went over everything concerning my dog and answered all my questions.Im so glad I found the perfect place to take my dog. I would HIGHLY recommend Wellhaven!!

First time was yesterday. The place is clean, warm and relaxing. My dog got attention from the staff. Love the doctor, she was down to earth, kind and just wonderful. I am so happy I change my vet care to them. Love every one from the front desk, tech and vet.

Made an appt for a rabies shot for our dog and were charged $80. They charged for an exam without asking and could not have done a very thorough exam in the short amount of time that the appt. took. We asked for a refund for the exam and were given $16 back. Not happy about it at all.

I have taken my dog there multiple times, for scheduled appointments as well as for emergency. They have always found a way to get her in as soon as possible, they have been caring and compassionate, and always at a fair price. I highly recommend them.

(Wonderful) (Amazing) (So caring)I took my 17 year old chihuahua in to be put to sleep, she had bad teeth & was very sick. I was quoted $4000.00 by my old vet & just never could get that kind of money together to have her teeth pulled. Long story short Dr. Capp examined her & then told me she could save her life & she did!!! We have our Kowgirl for another few years at least if not more, she is like a puppy again!!!😊💞🐶

This is a wonderful vet. They are very thorough and caring, and they are great to work with. This is such a nice place to take our pets. Lots of love in that place.

We just moved to Vancouver and needed to find a Veterinarian for our older dog Edna, because she needs medication. I called 3 places, and my husband emailed 1 place, but didnt get any responses. I finally called WellHaven Pet Health, and someone actually answered the phone, and got me in right away. I explained what Meds Edna needed and was almost out of, and that day I was able to get her meds for her. The Veterinarian called me on my phone while I waited in the parking lot, because of corona virus this is how it had to be done, and explained what she saw in Ednas health and what she recommend i have done for Edna. She was patient and listened to all my questions and concerns, and I didnt feel rushed off, I felt better that I could now get medication for my dog. I will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend them if you have a pet who needs a vet.

The scrape was bleeding, so we cleaned it as much as we could. It soon became infected and was causing him pain.The vets fit in him and were very kind, caring and knowledgeable in his treatment. WellHaven was the only place in Vancouver that was able to see our puppy on the same day, and they exceeded all expectations. The staff was genuine and extremely knowledgeable, and we will be making Dr. Graham our permanent choice after this amazing experience. I took my baby girl Roxie to WellHaven after waiting 10 days from taking her to CRVH. The news was bad, and with the covid restrictions it was so very hard to sit in the car and wait.WHPH was so good and gentle about the whole situation. The vet call to ask about doing a blood testing that was 300.00 at the other place. It was under 100.00 at WHPH, and I knew in 25 minutes that there was no saving my baby girl.The vet was so very kind and gave assurances as well as told me to call if I needed anything. That meant so much, as well was told of Dove Lewis Velvet gloves to put her to sleep at no cost.Despite not being able to go in, I could tell this place has state of the art testing and vet capable people that truly love pets.I highly recommend WellHaven Pet Health

I have nothing but positives to say about my experience here after my first visit today. After calling over 20 veterinarians today in the Vancouver area and even down in Clackamas, Dr. Capper was able to see my kitty at the end of her day who needed some immediate care. I was avoiding taking her to an urgent care/ER vet due to the high prices they tend to charge clients. Dr. Capper went over her findings with me very clearly over the phone after examining my her and was able to give her the care she needed! The administrative staff and assistants were also very pleasant and helpful. I am very thankful and happy with the services that Dr. Capper provided myself and my kitty today. We brought our cat to Dr. Graham on the recommendation of a friend. Another vet had recommended expensive procedures that turned out to be unnecessary. We appreciate Dr. Grahams genuine and loving approach with our pet. She preformed only the treatments required and helped keep our expenses reasonable. Everyone we encountered at Wellhaven were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

We recently moved to this area and have been looking for a veterinarian for our two dogs -- and our search is over!So first of all, we walked in and saw that theyd written Welcome Desperado (our dogs name) on the exam room door. So that instantly made me smile.The office staff are all amazing and they put a lot of effort into making you (humans and animals) feel comfortable.Our first visit was free and Dr Graham spent probably 45+ minutes with us just getting to know us and Despy and made some recommendations on his and his brothers future care.We really appreciate how well they treated Desperado and how much time they spent with us.Also side note - they confirmed that Dr Graham would also see my mouse if needed and it can be difficult to find a small animal vet!

My dog was limping and non-weight bearing on his front paw and it was visibly swollen and the swelling continued to get worse. I called my regular vet and was told they couldnt fit us in for a week. This was the same response I got at most other vets. I called CRV animal hospital and they had a 3-5 hour wait and because my dog would likely be non-critical the wait would possibly be on the longer side. I called Well Haven and was lucky enough to have had one of the vets answer the phone. When I explained my situation, she told me that they also were booked up. The difference is that she checked to see where she might be able to squeeze me in for a quick check of my dog to make sure that there wasnt a critical issue. I had called her around 2pm and she squeezed me in at 4:30pm that same day. There was a little wait, but that was ok as I understood she had done me a favor squeezing me in. She took a look at him and determined there was swelling and likely an infection and gave me medicine to treat his paw and we may reevaluate if it doesnt clear up. I have to say that I am changing my vet. I would have expected Roccos vet to have squeezed him in somewhere since we have been going there since weve had Rocco, but they didnt. Well Haven put a priority on taking a quick look to make sure that my dogs health was not compromised. The good news is after one day his paw is looking and feeling better! My heartfelt thank you and recommendation to Hazel Dells WellHaven Drs and staff. Oh, one other thing. The price for the visit and medications was very reasonable, it was clean, and everyone was friendly.

The whole experience was great. My first full day with my dog was stressful as she was very sick. The entire staff made us feel welcome and I thank them for that. They even followed up with a phone call to check on her. Althea and I are very grateful.

I have never had a more positive experience at a veterinary clinic. EVERY employee that I encountered was not just professional but genuinely friendly. Our vet, Dr. Graham, explained everything to me in words I could understand. They make you aware of costs and also tell you where to get items more inexpensively. Wellhaven is the perfect name, they truly focus on the wellness of not just your pet, but you, too. Our visit was akin to going to the park to play!

I actually love the veterinarians at this clinic! With that said, the support staff is not well trained and Julie, the practice manager has NO people skills. I recently called to make an appointment for my dog, who has a pet care plan at $80+ dollars a month and after two calls with 2 different employees, I was not able to make an appointment. Its beyond frustrating that I have paid over $800 and when my dog needs care, the staff cannot handle a simple appointment call.

Both Dr. Graham and Dr. Capper have great crateside manners and they have done well to explain what all is going on with my pets. The rest of the staff are kind and helpful which makes each appointment breezy.

Today we had to say goodbye to our family cat, who has been an important family member of ours for 18 years. It was a very traumatic event for my wife and myself.Julie and Dr. Capper made this event as positive as one could ever hope. They both showed so much compassion and care during the process that it inspired me to write a thank you note.My wife was a basket case during the experience and the patience and compassion that Julie and Dr. Capper showed her was inspiring. They supported her, shared tears, and they truly shared our pain.I want to say thank you for making a horrible day as tolerable as possible.We have several family pets and we have always had great experiences at Well Haven when getting care for them, but today proves that this is why we know this is where our pets will come for all of their future care.Thank you for the tremendous compassion and care you had for us and for “Mama” today. Busy and a bit pricey for nail trim

I have been here numerous times with different fur babies. They take care of them as if they are their own. I have switched my dog to WellHaven permanently.

Unfortunately we had to go there because we were putting our dog to sleep but they were very sympathetic and did everything to make our family pet and us as comfortable as possible during this difficult time. I highly recommend them.

I have only been in once with my dog but the entire staff was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and over all great!

We love Wellhaven and the care they give our dog and cats. They make going to the vet enjoyable and easy.
