I have been using SCVC for nearly three years and have had nothing but positive interactions with all the staff. Just recently I faced every pet owners worst fear and had to euthanize my dog due to a large abdomen tumor. Althea was my first dog and I was beyond devastated to learn that there was no other solution. The staff and Dr. Chan held my hand through making the toughest decision a pet owner can sometimes have to make. They were always responsive, kind-hearted and just plain understanding and truthful. I will continue to take my kitty here for vet services and will bring any future animals here as well. Great clinic!
We absolutely LOVED our experience with Salmon Creek Veterinary!! We have 2 labradoodles 2 1/2 years and 6months! We’ve have our 2 1/2 year old doodle with them since she was a puppy and we have always loved the way they care for her and the convenience they offer in terms of drop off and pick up times! I’ve had two healthy happy doodles and I thank Salmon Creek Vet! We would have never left but we had to move out of state. Take your pup here! Trust me! They will love him or her as much as you do!
We have been patients of Salmon Creek for almost 6 years, with 4 dogs and 3 cats. The doctors, nurses, tech’s and office staff are patient, caring, attentive, friendly and professional. We have had nothing but good experiences here even through sad difficult times. Highly recommend!
Every experience that Ive had at this veterinary clinic has been amazing. My blue heeler has been going there for 2.5 years and every time he receives excellent care. I love that they always give me an estimate for the services before asking me to make any decisions and they fully explain why theyve made those recommendations.
Price gouging. Always seem to have multiple issues to charge for with my dog exams. Had my dogs tooth looked at and they told me it needed to be pulled. They gave me a verbal quote, not a written one. Day a service they tried to charge me almost twice as much for a tooth extraction. They were not upfront with the charges. Went somewhere else to get my dogs tooth extracted for almost half the price. Will never go back.
Erin Dunsire the office manager takes it upon herself to DENY services and critical communication MID-TREATMENT to cover her own failings, having inadequately trained staff about affiliate partnership capabilities leading to misinformation being shared and misunderstandings created. She also blocks voicemails, doesnt transfer records, and blocks dialogue with the doctors or executive leadership due to her own assumptions and defensiveness with apparently no accountability.Due to the lack of staff training with Covetrus, I was left with the impression my personal & patient information was being given to a third party without authorization and they couldnt even view my orders. It is occurring without authorization. The purpose of me contacting Salmon Creek with my concern was to request better clarity for customers - suggesting fine print explanation or an opt-in paragraph upon intake, she took an uncalled for defensive attitude, Saying theyd look into it but that theyd no longer serve me. When I tried to mediate the defensive reaction she began talking over me continuously, completely dismissive of my concerns. She simply was not open to civil discourse for resolution that required action on her part. She has since hung up on me over 5 times when I was calmly trying follow up to resolve the misunderstanding. She has blocked over 4 voicemails from reaching Dr. Chan and just screamed at a staff member today to tell them not to pass on my voicemail to the doctor regarding my dogs treatment and demanding they not answer my calls or pick up and hang up.This is immature, unsatisfactory and calls for a complaint to consumer affairs because Ive never seen such an outrageous reaction to a patients concerns for privacy and clear communication that enhance the customer experience.Despite denying me service or even communication with the doctor, I continue to get solicitations from the clinic for vaccination treatments, and Erin has not provided me my records or transferred them as she claims. ERIN IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD. A person with Erins immature and unprofessional disposition should never be in her position, much less be unaccountable to anyone else.Ive requested to speak to the business manager or owner for civil discourse and to dissolve the misunderstanding, and she also blocks that saying they implicitly back her 100%, despite them never hearing both sides of the story. The receptionists, Vet Techs, and Vet Staff have been terrific. ERIN DUNSIRE = 0 STARS.If ownership blindly trusts her, they are guaranteed to lose more business. She is a detractor to the team and organization.I am still open to civil dialogue with ownership such as Dr. Martin or the Business Manager Mr. Kasch, but that takes both sides willing to listen and Erin has not displayed that capability or willingness.
I was very happy with their service. They did not try to over charge me. They listened to what I wanted and respected me and valued my opinion....Thanks to everyone there!
They are friendly, but they never answer emails or texts, that THEY SEND YOU. The technician sliced my dogs paw, when we took him to get his nails cut. Im not 100% confident with them.
Wwaaaaaayyyyyy overpriced. Over 400 dollars just to get my cat vaccinated. It would be cheaper to become a veterinarian and do it yourself than to come to this place for pet care.
Me and my puppy had the best possible experience here. That was the first visit to a vet for her and she was shy and a bit scared at first. Dr Martin was very attentive and did everything so the puppy was comfortable with the process. I would highly recommend this clinic and will come back again.
They are amazing; I can’t understand any of the bad reviews. We had gone to 4 other places before committing to this office. We have 6 dogs, and we have had a great experience with bringing each of them to this office. They have Great customer service, they have extremely understanding and kind hearted staff, they have competitive prices with low mark up, and they go above and beyond to ensure the best for my family and my pets. I would highly recommend Salmon Creek Veterinary Clinic to anyone who wants the best care for their pets- big or small!
Phenomenal vet clinic and by far one of the best places in town. Weve been taking our dogs there for almost 5 years now and our dogs are happier and healthier than ever. Dr. Martin and her staff have such big hearts and are the most caring weve done business with. We have a very skittish dog and the staff always take their time to make her feel comfortable, especially the vets because they sit down on the floor and let our dog feel less stressed before any examinations. This clinic has always shown and stressed care for all animals as the number one priority. If you need a caring and reliable vet clinic come to Salmon Creek Vet Clinic.
The only clinic I will ever take my pets to! We have a pit bull and I have reservations about bringing him places because of his breed and how uneducated people react. However, they ALWAYS treat us with respect and kindness. LOVE our dog and always pet him and say hello. They are affordable and work with you to get all the necessary tests done. I so appreciate this clinic and would never ever take my furbabies anywhere else.
This office was wonderful when owned by Dr. Cleveland. Cleveland was professional and never made us do extra tests or spend unnecessary money. He helped us make many decisions that he would make with his dog. After Dr. Cleveland, we had many other doctors, NONE of which were great. They started charging us for every little thing (including nail trims which used to be free with our full dog physical). We have since left this office as we were so tired of all of the different doctors, their extra fees and everything else they kept trying to get us to do with our healthy lab. I do NOT recommend Salmon Creek Veterinary!
My bird got his beak caught in a toy, and I couldnt get it off! It was going to prevent him from eating so I rushed to any vet. Even though this place doesnt see birds, they removed the toy from him and didnt charge me! I am so grateful to these vets, thank you guys so much!
Truly can’t believe the negative opinions about this facility and the ladies that run the business. I’m always greeted with so much kindness and care for myself and my fur babies. I’m not one to write reviews but this establishment deserves high praises for all the work they do!
I am new to Vancouver Washington and have taken all my (6) and my daughter has taken all her (5)dogs to this practice and we are very satisfied with both Vets, Techs, and front staff. Everyone has been very nice. The Vets I feel really take their time with our pets and I never feel rushed! We are happy campers and I would recommend this practice to whom ever is looking for great service🐾🐾And caring Vets🐾🐾~~
Salmon Creek veterinary care has been exceptional in the health care and boarding of our family pet. The front staff is kind, patient, and friendly, while the doctor and assistants are thorough, fully present and listening to the needs and concerns of your pet and your family. The team makes it comfortable to trust in their care, in their recommendations, and then in your own choices and considerations. I highly recommend this practice.
This is a very sweet and compassionate vet clinic. My cat of 15 years Orangie was dying and we took him knowing that he would most likely need to be put down. The whole family was very sad but the staff was extremely compassionate and kind through the process. They even sent us a thoughtful card the next week. I will be taking my other cat here for regular check ups in the future.
We all know that our pets are members of our families! This is the ***ONLY*** place Ill take my little min pin! For awhile, I took my min to Dr. Cleveland, then tried a clinic that was a little closer to home. But it wasnt long before I returned to Dr. Cleveland. He is so knowledgeable, intuitive and kind. And his staff are the best, too.
Great Customer ServiceAll the Doctors and Nurses are awesome to work with.Great management and the owner has done wonders with the expansion of the place. Highly recommended for your pet as they are very knowledgeable.
Dr. Polly Martin and her staff rock the Casbah...great people.
We have been taking our dogs to Salmon Creek Vet Clinic since 1994. Although the Dr’s and staff have changed over the years we have been pleased over and over.. from the kind and personal handling of our sick dog, to the care of two more puppies over the last 13 years .Thank you to Dr. Martin and Dr. Choate who tend to our older dogs with concern and knowledge.
Friendly staff and my puppy is always happy to see them. I would take my dog Apollo in even if nothing was wrong with them. Always a great experience
My wife and moved to Vancouver last year. We are so blessed to have found Dr Martin and her team for our three small dogs. Recently in a short period of time, two of the three dogs in the family had to have surgery. Dr Martin, I am convinced you brought one of our dogs back to us most likely after years of being mis-diagnosed and past dental work done incorrectly. Thank you!!Dr Martin is not only an incredible vet, but her and her staff took the time to be incredibly caring and compassionate. Thank you for all you guys do everyday to keep our little dogs healthy and happy.
Greatly enjoyed my experience bringing my sassy fur babe in. Quick, efficient and friendly. I left feeling heard and with the right meds for my sick kitty. Bringing her back for a groom next week!
Dr. Polly is a very caring individual. The entire office has been very supportive when we had to let our dear Max pass on. Thank you all so very much. Bonnie and Mel
We have been taking our dogs here when it was owned by Dr cleavland. Probably over 10 plus years. Since then we have encountered several different doctors. We have been happy with all the care. However, we are not very happy with the high cost. Its to the point that we are seeking another clinic. I cant shake the feeling I am being nickled and dimed. And I get highly annoyed that we have to pay a bio hazard fee for needle disposal! I just want to say, give me the needle and I will put it in a sharps container and call it good.
Ive been in the community since the clinic was under Dr Clevelands administration. It was our first experiance with Dr Chan. I think all change in life, is always a challenge and adjustment. And people that down vote this office arent taking all these new challenges from change into consideration. Changing administration in this economy, this neighborhood, is a challenge. I believe this office is doing an incredible job. The vets are very compasionate, and understanding with each individuals need. With patience, good comunication, trust, this professional staff will amaze, comfort, and heal you and your pet completly.
Charged me $149.90 on 3/25 for wellness plan with $99 non refundable fee plus one month plan for the month of April. On 4/20 charged $49.95 for May. Really dissappointed because of their wellness plan cancellation THEY CHARGED ME EXTRA $210.99 JUST TO CANCELL WELLNESS PLAN on May 6th 2019. .3stars for good care of my pet. I should be refunded the $49.95 go May but they refuse to do so, instead charging me extra. (Note: I ALSO PAID extra when I came for an appointment which was $48.95 and paid the plan amout. $49.95 for the month so it doesnt seem like this plan covers much) total visits with my new puppy were 3 office visits, I only came because they sent me puppy wellness reminders 2 appointments within a month. I had one visit were I came because they also sent me a puppy appointment reminder and to check out itching, was perscribed antibiotics and more flea medicine with I paid for seperately besides the monthly plan amout. So Im not coming back and I feel if they really cared they wouldnt take away at least the plan about I paid for May since I cancelled in May 6th.All the services I had:2 wellness visitsAnd one vaccine visitRabies vaccineDAPNexgard free doseAmoxicillinFrontal canine
Love these guys. I bring my 14 yr old Pomeranian here for all his health needs and grooming. He has a heart condition, they are very reasonable on his heart meds.
Some of the worst customer service depending on the staff. If youre unlucky enough to encounter the tech/receptionist with pink hair, expect to be ignored until you ask her to do her job. They be prepared for her attitude throughout your exchange. Not all of the staff seemed so poorly trained, so its a real shame when one employee can ruin it for them all
We loved this place initially. After our visit yesterday, we will never come back. We brought our 20-year old elderly cat in for a check up and ear cleaning. All seemed to go smoothly and the vet assistant that helped our kitty with cleaning his ears told us all went well. The veterinarian came in and asked us if we wanted to give our cat a rabies vaccination, which we declined. He never is outside and at 20, barely gets around inside. He’s literally a little old man. At 20, we do not want to give him anything invasive other than quality of life. After leaving the office and a $260 bill, I got a call from the veterinarian telling me to bring the cat back in immediately because he bit the assistant (which we were never told in the office and she certainly seemed fine), and that they were going to quarantine our cat for 10 days to watch for neurological issues. She said they were sending the assistant to the emergency room. I was in no way going to bring my elderly cat back to be quarantined plus god knows how much more additional cost to board him. When I told her this, she became enraged and said she’d call Animal Control. After three harassing calls from this office and a visit from animal control, we obviously will never be back.Washington state only had one incident of rabies in a cat, btw back in 2000. The only rabid animals are bats in our area. The veterinarian tried to tell me that a bat could get into my house and our cat that barely moves could get rabies if it tries to catch it and eat it. Really unbelievable. We are very responsible animal lovers and owners. We have a kitten that is fully vaccinated. We just do not feel that this indoor elderly cat needs anything unnecessarily invasive at his age and given the fact he never goes outdoors. What a terrible, harassing experience. And what a complete waste of resources for animal control to have to make a house call. Not to mention sending an employee to the emergency room?!? I will be talking to them on Monday and will report what happened. In response to yours:First our kitty is a he.We have vaccinated all of our younger animals. The cat I brought into you was extremely elderly and can barely get around from one room to another. In 20-years, I’ve never had a bat enter my house. Even if a bat entered, the chances of this elderly old man kitty catching said bat and eating it would be astronomical if not laughable given his state. We understand your concerns, albeit in this case being overblown. However, the harassment we received by the vet insisting we bring our cat back to the office to be quarantined were ridiculous. The many phone calls telling us that our cat wasn’t a bad kitty also ridiculous. Just should have been handled differently.
$750 for a couple teeth extraction for a cat. WHAT..... I went there for a year and every time I went there, there were new front desk people. Something is to be said about retaining employees. Too expensive and cant keep employees. P.S. Dr. Polly bought the practice 1 1/2 - 2 years ago so older reviews are of the other vet Dr.
My dog went in to have his nails trimmed, they improperly drugged him, using the wrong medicine and couldnt get him completely out.Not only did they charge me for his visit AND the drugs. But they didnt even trim his nails. So Im going home with a traumatized dog who has been heavily drugged and received absolutely no service.I missed work and paid $75 to bring home a sick drugged dog.
Not super impressed and not super disappointed, meh. Staff are nice but the prices for services are ridiculous.
Always running late and dont let you know. 30 minutes late 2 times in a row.
Friendly and prompt care.
Good customer service
