Its a nice gym. I literally have no complaints.... Except for the announcement of wiping down your equipment every 10 minutes. Literally its over kill. Once an hour should be good enough. Literally they announced it at 8:39 and then again at 8:50. Like, WHY???? 1/5Update: they started announcing it less which means fewer interruptions in my music playlist for working out 😎 4/5

In-Shape is the ideal place to workout. They have plenty of machines, classes and an excellent staff to help you reach your goals. The hours are amazing and Ive met a few new friends since joining.

The staffs are very friendly and the location is 5 minutes away from my home. I like the sauna very much, hope it can be opened very soon

Jennie (I think shes a supervisor or manager) is awesome. She showed my mom and I around the club while we were waiting for our classes to start. My mom is having foot surgery, so Jennie showed us their 29 Min Circuit, adapted for her foot, and explained about the Senior classes they have. Super friendly and helpful and informative. Glad I have a membership here.

Really like the in shape health clubs. It has variety. It has everything from group classes like Zumba and spin classes to free weights and easy to use machines but my favorite parts are the pool and hot tub and steam rooms.Staff is always super chill and the crowd it attracts is nice. You dont feel weird here. Got a membership for myself and my ole lady

Jennifer and the front desk clerk assisted me at the Elmira Club. Jennifer was friendly, professional, helpful, patient and knowledgeable of the memberships. Cant wait to attend my training session with Angela. Also take advantage of the many classes and the multiple gym workouts.

Everything you could want in a gym with a great price. Mimi was terrific on the walk through of the gym and very personable and asked great questions that really made me feel that I wasnt just a sale but got into my why of wanting to join and how in-shape would me reach my goals. Ive had two sessions of personal training with Romulus, its exactly what I was looking for... workouts that push me but he spends a lot of time making sure I have good form and the workouts are matching my needs and goals. The manager Inna, took time to introduce herself and welcome me to the gym. The equipment is clean, working and in good shape. The locker room is always clean, bathrooms are nice. Again, a great gym, great people and a really great price.

This is a great gym. It has free weights, machines, Cardio machines, and even a deadlift and box jump corner. It also has a sauna, pool and hot tub. I come here 3 times a week and never have a problem getting my workouts in.

Customer service sucks. I took one week free trial and cancel it with in time period but they are still keep charging me every month . I talk to there manager many times on the phone but she always has to say she is waiting for cooperate to respond otherwise facility is very nice . My advise is don’t give them any card info.

Was awesome helpful staff friendly members and clean relaxed environment would definitely recommend to anyone who is d of coming solo ( like i was because i didnt want to look dumb not knowing how to use the machines or which ones to use ) 95 % of them explain in detail how to use them and what muscles they work right on the machines themselves so its great and if not feel free to ask i g ot lots of support from random people i asked.

Love this place. Go in the evening if you dont like crowds, its practically empty. Good selection of equipment, pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. They also have a play area for your kids while you work out.

I have never used a “trainer” or taken a “class” here, but I love this gym. Great set up, lots of options, slightly private area upstairs for people who want to be seen as little as possible (lol), they have the pool and sauna/steam room which is great (I will not go to a gym that doesn’t have those as an option as I use the sauna to stretch after a workout). The staff is good, I hardly interact with them (because I’m there to work out not chit chat) but they are pleasant. Facility is clean. No complaints.

This would be 5 solid stars if it werent for the lack luster desk staff they have at the location I go to. Theyre generally uninterested and pretty lacking in customer service skills. But, they are young and that is pretty common these days. I do love the gym though. Racquetball is my motivation and the Elmira locations had one court. I guess it used to have 3 but they eliminated 2 of them. Bad idea IMHO. Good price for this gym I think.

Something for the whole family! The kids center has some great people who greet us by first name. Lots of fun stuff too- my kids beg to go. My husband loves the steam room and pool (note: no diapers). The staff is welcoming and helpful. Plenty of machines and weight equipment in good condition. Pretty spacious locker rooms and showers. My personal trainer, DJon, rocks! He is motivating and encouraging. Super creative in my workouts and helps with my diet and goals.

This is the gym that combines 24hr fitness will Planet Fitness. No gymtimidation here. I love the heated pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room.

The equipment here is kept in good working condition and the racquetball courts are a huge plus. The pool is a little warm though and I would not recommend it for those who like a good workout in the water. The Vacaville community pool off of Elmira is a great alternative

In-shape love it... Every body that works there is extremely nice. They have work out classes like Zumba and dances they also have bicycle training. Every body must wipe the equipment with a rag so the machines arent dirty so good bye sweat! They have plenty of machines for different exercises.

I lpve this gym! The instructors and personal trainers are amazing. They have a variety of machines and weights that allow for maximum use. They also have a more secluded workout area that offers more privacy.

Great experience! I got the 7 day pass last week. I plan on joining this week. Great equipment and the gym is always clean with excellent airflow.

The front desk staff is kind of rude and the place is always packed. I realize that when it’s busy, it’s not their issue... but a friendly greeting goes a long way. We went to the Alamo location instead if that is any indicator.

The gym itself is great but some of us who actual lift arent going to use the pool. Why are we paying 45 a month for basically a pool. Their should be options in payment where we dont need to use the pool only the actual weights, cardio equipment, and shower. 25 bucks right there. Put a lock mechanism on the pool door so when members have a personal card or phone app they can scan it if you have pool access then it will open. I have a car payment and college 47.99 is way to much for a squat rack, free weights and a treadmill.

I was happy with the facility. The price is just not competitive. When I went to cancel they were very rude and made it difficult. Im never coming back!

Just getting back into working out but the place is clean and the staff is nice. Classes are fun and painful at the same time. Makes me want to go back.

Has a little bit of everything you need and pretty large. Note that youll want to try to have a workout planned as during heavy hours many spots may be taken so will need to change things up as necessary.

Edit to this post:I have since received a call from them after posting this comment and they were now willing to make the necessary changes to the account removing my brother and adding my wife. All of this could have been avoided through proper communication yesterday and initially back in January. Since this issue has been corrected, i have increased the rating from 1 star to 3 stars. I only give 3 stars, because the staffs handling of the situation.As for the gym overall, it is a great place to work out. I enjoy the environment and most of the people at the counter interact very well, even at 5am. I would recommend this place, but make sure you square away all the account details in the initial setup, as it could come back to bite you if you let them make the wrong choices.Previous review, before corrective actions were made:Had a pretty good experience until i tried to make a few changes to my account yesterday. Without going into extreme detail, My brother and I signed up to use this Gym back in Jan. My brother setup the meeting, but the account was supposed to be setup under me, since i get the discount and would be paying 100% of the dues.My brother is no longer in the area, (in rehab in LA in fact). When i went in yesterday to talk with someone about removing my brother (who i pay for and was a secondary person on the account, then add my wife onto the plan. Honestly, expected this to be simple. Remove my brother, add my wife.They went on to tell me that my brother was the primary and that there was nothing i could do. I would have to cancel the entire plan and repay the enrollment fee to make me the primary and add my wife on. I feel robbed. I have never missed a payment, i am a steady gym goer and my brother has been gone since the beginning of March.When speaking with the supposed GM Jose, he was not willing to assist in making this mistake right and even said that i probably approved my brother to be the primary. I would never have done this and there was a reason i was primary to start with. He said he would email corporate to see if there was anyway he could fix the mistake. Still nothing. I feel betrayed and a little robbed. I would rather not go to another gym but at this point, they are punishing me for there mistake. Very disappointed in the overall customer service, when i have been nothing but loyal. Unless something changes, i will be going elsewhere to take my business and at the moment will not be recommending In-Shape.

7/14/19No chlorine in the hot tub per test strips (pool was ok).. Unsafe to use.5/14/19Cmon, InShape! Test your pool and spa daily and make adjustments so theyre safe to use. Im paying for a clean and safe gym, but tonight I cant go on the spa because (1) it smells, and (2) the chlorine level is unacceptable. (See Yelp review for photo.)On another note, whats up with the broken soap dispensers in the showers?-----------2/23/19I tested the pool and hot tub water last night (7 p.m. on Sat 2/23/19) because the pool was a murky greenish color, especially near the lights; the hot tub was a yellowish-green colorUnfortunately, I didnt think to test the water before I got in the pool because I shouldnt have to. But during my swim, I noticed a foul smell. The hot tub was far worse. I couldnt even spend 5 minutes in the hot tub.My test strips showed that everything except chlorine was adequate (chlorine was virtually nil). Another patron confirmed that it wasnt just me when I asked her. Similarly, I see that sometime else posted on Yelp how filthy the pool and hot tub were.I reported it to InShape through their website contact page; I also reported it to the Solano Country Department of Public Health.Chlorine levels should be monitored multiple times per day because temperature, lotions, detergents, time, etc. affect the chlorine concentration. This is a serious public health risk as many pathogenic microorganisms are transmitted through pools and hot tubs -- especially through the fecal-oral route.In addition to the pool and hot tub, the steamroom smelled foul. I came home and started having a pain in my chest while breathing, which did not exist before I went for a swim, soak, and steam.Clearly InShape is not doing their due diligence in maintaining a safe pool, hot tub, or steamroom for their patrons. I am considering cancelling my membership and demanding to be released from my one-year commitment started this past October 2018.

Equipment is broke and unsafe. The quality of this gym continues to get worst. They are overcrowded to the point where you cannot go during peak hours. Thus used to be a good gym. :(

The maneger Jose has a great setup their, everything is nice and clean. The staff especially the daycare are very Courteous and helpful.

Its a gym, high prices lots of broken equipment and dirty locker room floors constantly. Equipment does tend to get fixed quickly but there is always at least 4-5 things broken. Locker rooms must get cleaned once a day when they need hourly service.

What a wonderful gym. Clean, pool, more than enough equipment, sauna, steam room, etc. This gym made me want to work out. Im sad I left Vacaville and wish In-Shape followed me to Texas.

Great gym but will there ever be a possibility of an added basketball court

I love the staff from the front desk to the trainers! A great team, respectful of those of us not so talented, and willing to challenge us to do better! Started in January - Rosa was my first trainer, and was wonderful, but she moved out of town. Now I have Amy, and Im impressed how they both listened to my goals AND concerns. Whether in a class or in a private training session, ive been able to increase my ability to use my muscles without damaging the joints! The Silver Sneakers classes are as challenging as you want to make them, by choosing different weights, elevations, etc. Sharon challenges us with Zumba Gold - and this has allowed me to increase in strength and coordination. I encourage everyone, young and old, to give it at least a 3 month try - but YOU have to come at least 4 times a week in order to improve... My husband and I are usually in 6 days a week... And Ive NEVER exercised before!

Its clean, the staff is friendly, there are multiples of the machines, no fighting over weights because there arent enough, the pool is lovely, and just overall a great environment for people who are focused on getting swoll.

I am 36, a single father, and in heart failure. The diagnosis is terminal. I decided to take action and join your gym to prolong my life.I came in with a friend, and was greeted by what I thought was a front desk attendant. Turns out Darius is pretty high ranking, and made me feel instantly comfortable.My second day in, and Darius took time away from his schedule, and was more than happy to show me how to begin. Being the first time in a gym since high school, this instantly made me feel comfortable. The facility is clean, and I recognize people from the local community. I will be preparing to walk up there soon this morninh. Im excited to be moving in a positive direction.I do not know if I can afford a long term membership, or the services of a personal trainer, but for now am more than happy for the level of quality I am receiving.Any gym can be found to have weights and whistles, that are designed to attract the attention of those who wish to make positive life changes.The human factor and individuality that I am experiencing at In Shape is the decisive factor here. Just yestrerday I met some great personal trainers, who are more than happy to help me.Thank you all for helping me help myself.~SC

Great gym just a little busy at times but sauna is hella dirty under seat thick layer of dust thats not what I want to breath in while workingout .

Not as good, well kept as Browns Valley. Has all the equipment you need though... except TRX straps. Supposedly they do have TRX but no place to hang them.

It is clean and they updated the contracts so they are more flexable.
