I was greeted with a smile and offered a drink and snack on the house as soon as I entered the establishment. I was able to take a much needed nap after a long night and while napping my vehicle got its oil changed, new much needed cabin filter replaced and a new oil cap that had seen better days. I would definitely recommend having a vehicle services by this company.and Travis made sure everything was explained about my vehicle maintenance and up coming needs. We’d just had our SUV serviced for a hefty price before driving from Ohio back to Colorado. To our shock, 4 hours into our 20 hour drive our SUV was vibrating and the “service engine soon” light was blinking 🤯😡. We had no choice but to continue to our hotel in Des Moines 6 more hours away. We needed help badly and quickly from someone who knew what they were doing and wouldn’t take advantage of us in our time of need. We didn’t know the area and were hoping to find an honest mechanic who could help us and all during the time frame of our hotel stay! The reviews for Absolute Auto Repair had me sold and I told my husband. He took our SUV there and, just like the reviews had said, Travis took such good care of us! He found and fixed the problem and went above and beyond what he had to do to help us and it was affordable as well. We’re so thankful we found Absolute Auto Repair. I ended up at this shop after breaking down on a road trip. They addressed my vehicle immediately and I was fortunate they found the replacement part in town. Travis had it brought over right away and his team worked after hours to make sure my vehicle was taken care of and my day did not end as badly as it could have. I work for insurance companies traveling the country and was here for the wind catastrophe. My brand new truck had a pretty bad coolant leak and I stopped in here. They immediately went to work on my truck. Found the problem, fixed it, and had me on the road all in about an hours time from me showing up. Unbelievable service! I was at their mercy for my job. I had an alternator problem. Car broke down near this service center.They got it in quickly, which was much appreciated. They gave me a quote of $400. I said fine, and asked they check the power steering, as I knew the pump was bad. They said they would do the alternator and power steering for $815. I said do that, and an oil change as well.My girlfriend called later to check on the car. They said they were purging air from the lines, and it was done. They charged us $917.When I arrived to pick the car up. They explained with the oil change, and a new serpentine belt that was required the cost went up. Fair enough.Then he explained that the power steering pump was only half the problem. The lines were also bad, which would cost another $700. I told him no way, I will not spend another $700. Then he told me he “owes” me an oil change, because they never actually did the oil change I paid for.I pulled away, power steering fluid leaked out everywhere, and I have no power steering again, after spending $500 and being told it was done on the phone.I am not impressed with their trouble shooting skills, customer service, and especially billing for work not completed...

I planed to buy a used car. Drove it to absolute auto repair for pre-purchase inspection without appointment. Unfortunately, even it was a weekday morning they are really busy at the time and couldnt do the inspection for me. While I was about to leave, Russ and one of his tech come out. They did a quick inspection for me and found a problem that was missed in the dealership store. I would highly recommend absolute auto repair.

Good customer service when I arrived and the mechanic was very knowledgeable of my issue. He also notice that I needed back breaks and rotors, gave me a call to get the ok to replace. My car was in and out within 5 hours with a great price.

When my car wouldnt start, all I had to do was call. They sent a wrecker to tow my car to the shop within an hour. They called me two hours later to explain the diagnosis and the options to fix it. It was fixed the next day. They also helped me get financing for the repair and checked with me in the week after, twice, just to make sure everything was running smooth. The shop is clean and the waiting area comfortable. Every employee Ive ever spoken with, whether it be over the phone, email or on person, has been courteous and pleasant. Top notch place!

He wont try to sell you on unnecessary repairs, wont give you crummy parts just to make a sale, and will actually tell you to go somewhere else if you want to use cheapo parts that would save a few bucks short-term but are a terrible investment long-term. When he does recommend work to get done, he knows what hes talking about.Also dont go there for an oil change expecting a 15-minute quick lube job; its a full service oil change, theyre very thorough, and its well worth it. Ive been going there since 2013 when it was OBriens Auto Repair, and on several occasions theyve caught maintenance issues early on that would have otherwise snowballed into much more expensive problems. In those 6+ years Ive only had one issue with a repair, and they quickly addressed it with free parts and labor.

Always great service when I go here. Just had a dead battery this time, but it was taken care of ASAP. Drinks and snacks in the lobby are a bonus as well. Russ is always polite and happy to help.

Do NOT take your car to Absolute. They will find all kinds of things wrong with your vehicle that you didnt bring your car in for or they will MAKE things wrong with your car. They will take advantage of you and pad the bill but when you get a second opinion you find out nothing is wrong with your car. Dont do it!!

Super nice guys that work here. I have had a few things looked at or repaired on multiple vehicles over the past few years. For the most part, they get the fix right the first try. All mechanics make mistakes eventually, wherever it be your first visit or your 10th visit. What they do to fix the situation is the most important. They do a fantastic job of making it right and getting you back in the road.

I dont understand why my car have empty oil less than 7000 miles (when I said empty means dry empty) it almost ruin my engine for the fact Im using Mobil 1 extended performance for 15,000 miles 5 quarts? I suspected they are not doing their job properly when I asked them to change my oil and not sure they put my oil or using their ordinary oil. Just careful when you dealing with them.

I just moved back to Des Moines and needed an oil change and thought I would try OBriens (just down the street from my work office). First of all, the hospitality was fantastic...it was about 10 degrees out and when I walked in I was greeted nicely and the waiting room was clean organized and felt welcoming. I got warmed up with a cappuccino from their K-cup machine and they also had an assortment of baked goods for me to help myself. I then met the owner...Tom, I believe, who was super friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have some small chat with me. Got my oil change going (walked back to work and came back 40 minutes later to pick it up). They said I had a healthy car and I was on my way. I will go back.

OBriens was AMAZING! I had a flat tire on the way there and Dan was able to push back our appointment to accommodate my delay. He also offered to make me coffee to warm up as it was a 10 degree day. Dan and the service tech provided an explanation of the fixes done to the tires along with the oil change. They had the car warmed up and ready to go once the repairs were done. I can say this has been the best car experience I have ever had, at any car repair store. I arrived exceptionally frustrated, but the fantastic customer service they provided really made the situation much better. I will never take either of my vehicles to another repair shop as OBriens has the best to offer.

Worst place ever, they will try to lie about the condition of your car and rip you off . I had mu brake checked and they told me i have at most 100 mils left and it needs to be replaced and charged 145 for the inspection, I went to another place for a second opinion and they told me theres absolutely nothing wrong with my brake its just the way it is . Since then ive driven over 1500 miles and everything is fine. Stay away from this dishonest business!

The staff was very friendly. They invited my dog and I inside, while we were waiting outside for my oil to be changed, which was great of them. My only problem was that the only tire they had in stock to replace one of mine was overpriced, compared to local competitors.

Went in to fix a fuel pump and a fuel filter. They asked for $900. I went to autozone and got the parts for $280 and replaced it my self. Took only 3 1/2 hours to do and we didn’t have proper tools to do it faster. I wouldn’t believe I repair shop would take the same amount of time so labor wouldn’t have had to cost $500. It was a disappointing

I would not go here for major repairs. I got my car back after a week and that same night the check engine light came on. They fixed the issue so I took it home again and later that day the check engine light came on again! Had to bring it in. Im still getting warning lights popping up on my dashboard and they also said my alternator is going out. I never had these issues before the first initial repair. I spent 2K in 2 weeks there. Incompetent crooks. Ridiculous.

Apparently you guys were fully booked for the day, or so the manager said nodding his head no like he didnt know how to speak. But the attitude I received was not the only issue.I usually go to JiffyLube, where unlike this place their service was excellent, no appointment needed, and they greet customers in their car, with a smile on their face, before they even have a chance to enter their facility. Walked me in to their waiting area and offered me a hotdog and juice while I was being helped. I have no issue spending $150 in JiffyLube, but I got a deal for this place on Groupon for 1/8th of a price that Im usually used to. I guess after all you get what you pay for, and this place will not receive a single cent from me or my friends. Ill make sure of that.
