I have been a customer of Ultimate Automotive for over 20 years. The company is run by Mark along with the help of his dad, which makes it a family business. The thing about Ultimate Automotive, is your treated like family. I could not be more pleased with the service that I have received for all of the cars that they have worked on. Currently, all of my cars are on manufacture warranty. However, there were many years where I purchased extended warranties from non-manufacture companies. Because Mark did not complain, I never realized the difficulties that he would have getting those companies to repair my cars with the correct equipment. Supervising all of his employees and advising them on the kind of work that needed to be done, is part of the job for the owner. Negotiating with non-manufacturer warranty companies is a waste of his time, but he did it anyway to make sure our cars were fixed right.It is my pleasure to give Ultimate Automotive the highest marks possible for the quality of work that is performed on our cars to keep them running over 20 or more years.

They always tell you upfront what needs to be done with a quote. And they are reasonably priced. We have taken all our vehicles to Ultimate for 24 years and never had one bad experience.

Such a lifesaver. After checking into my hotel to start my first vacation in 6 years my vehicle would not start. They had it towed and repaired before I woke up the next morning. Very affordable and efficient. I didn’t have to miss out on my vacation worrying about my vehicle. They also texted a few days later to make sure I was happy with their service. If I lived closer they would be my mechanic!

Nick has always taken care of me when it comes to both of my 2005 Honda Elements. I followed him to Ultimate after he left Silzer Auto. I couldnt imagine a more straightforward and humble guy. This place is awesome! Had a bolt break off on my motorcycle. Local Honda dealer would not remove!!!.I called Ultimate Automotive because they have done some work on a old jeep of mine in the past. They told me to bring it in and they fixed it within minutes!!!! Awesome job guys thank you.

Meant to write this earlier. During Christmas time my car was acting up and setting warning lights off. I was traveling down to Missouri and wasn’t sure what to do. They took great care of me. Ran diagnostics and then were able to reset the car. They didn’t charge anything for their time even though it was the holiday and they were busy. Made it home safe and sound. Grateful to have found a honest mechanic to help a stranger out. Many blessings to you all.

Very unorganized and workers are not friendly, did not give diagnosis of car and the problems it had, and failed to give an update when called for a simple update on vehicle. Lack of communication. Never give them your business this is a SCAM

He put the joint back well enough to get my car on the flat bed with no further damage. Trans blew on a road trip and Ultimate Automotive was very patient with us while we had a new one built and sent to their shop. Van runs better than ever and we couldnt be happier!

Mark came out on I-80 at 6pm Saturday night and towed my large SUV back to shop. Completed analysis on Sunday (transmission shot). Ordered rebuilt Monday AM and stayed until 11pm Monday and delivered it to our Hotel Tuesday AM.He had told us possibly Wednesday and then turned it around for Tuesday AM for us to continue trip to CO.Thank you Mark, you saved us another day for hotel and rental car. They have been great working on my car. I have issues with my check engine light coming on. After some repairs the light came back on. They followed up and i told them the light was on. They had me bring it back in and did some more work to figure it out. I really appreciate the follow up.

Recently I had them change some 02 Sensors on my 15 Subaru WRX STI and they were friendly and helpful as always. I am a repeat customer, I have been going to Ultimate for the last 8 years or so. Because they always give me the best service., they know their craft and are very good at it. I dont take my vehicles to any other mechanics shop in town. They are also the only tow company I will use in town as well.

I dropped my van off at 1:15pm and didnt get it back til 7pm only to find out they couldnt do the alignment.. i had new parts and some warn tires but it was definitely possible to set the alignment and they just didn’t because of laziness and because i didnt spend $ on tires and unnecessary parts. Would not recommend wasting your time here.

While traveling through I noticed oil leaking from my car. Called to see if they could get me in and was told they had a hoist open. 8 of us were there for an hour and a half. They move at the speed of smell here. Took 20 minutes to get the car on the hoist, 10 minutes to walk under it and see what was leaking, then nobody touched it for 20 minutes again when asked to top off oil. In the end I was charged $53 to look at it and then worst part was the $70 per quart oil they added. They saw me coming and robbed me as far as I am concerned. When the car was topped off, it was again another 20 minutes for the bill. All of this while while my family waited. Nothing was doing to make mike move any faster. Beware

Honest and dependable. Not typically two words used in the same sentence when talking about repair shops. Mark is the man, hands down. No fluff, he gives you the real deal truth and also gives you best options. I was new in town last year and found these guys and so happy I did.

Best place for auto repair in Urbandale. Great hours and fast, dependable service. Mark is very knowledgeable and can explain what is wrong with your car in a way you can understand it. So happy I found these guys. Highly recommend them.

I first called Melvis Jimmerson at Ultimate Automotive in February of 1991. I had a one lane driveway and my wifes car that was parked behind mine wouldnt start. He showed up in less than 15 minutes, put the car on his flat bed in less than 5 minutes and told me not to worry about paying him until they had a chance to diagnose the problem. Since then Melvis and his son Mark have taken care of all of my vehicles. They have done a fantastic job and have always been reasonably priced. I recommend them to everyone who asks.

They are courteous and very accommodating on explaining what is wrong and about getting the problem fixed. They have been my car repair shop for quite a few years & will continue to be in the future.

Dont be discouraged by their parking lot. Although it may be hard to find a place to park, youll be more than happy with their knowledge and quality of work. Mark (perhaps one of the owners) was able to diagnose and repair several problems with my jaguar where many before him failed. Ultimate Automotive has been our mechanic of choice for over a decade and has repeatedly proven themselves to be honest and fair.

They got me in on Sunday and back on the road midday Monday. It was an expensive problem but the price was was well within the average for that kind of repair. They even dropped me at a hotel and picked me up when the car was finished. Thanks for all of that!

After having a flat tire earlier in the afternoon, I found myself stuck on the highway with a flat spare tire in the evening. I called for a tow and was picked up in a reasonable time frame. Once there, the staff helped discuss all my options, and answered all questions. They also found me the best deal on what I was looking for!! My car was ready the next afternoon.After a very frustrating day, I was put at ease and highly impressed with this company.

My truck was brought here from the dealership were I bought it for a timing chain. Very impressed with the nice clean job that was done. Im a union diesel mechanic so I looked everything over real good.

Very polite company. Dispatch let us know how many were ahead of us and when to expect the driver. The driver (Robin) was an ace. He got my four door, long bed truck in my driveway with enough room for my wife to still get her car into the garage.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Ultimate Automotive. I set an appointment to get my air compressor replaced and was told that it would be done by the end of the day. When I called them around 5 pm to see if it was ready to be picked up, they informed me that they had not done ANY repairs so far on it because one of their technicians hadnt showed up that day and that my car wouldnt be finished until the following day or after the weekend. I told them that was unacceptable considering my fiance uses the car for work and had to miss work that day in order to take the car in to their shop. The man on the phone (Mike) didnt even apologize and asked me if I even knew how much an A/C compressor costs, like he was assuming that I would just take my car in without knowing how much the repair would be or not being able to pay for it. Im not sure if its because Im a woman or in my early 20s or a combination of the two, but that is NOT how you treat your customers. I went in to get my car that same night because I was extremely and rightfully infuriated with how they had just treated me, just to find out THEY NEVER ORDERED THE REPLACEMENT PART FOR MY VEHICLE, EVEN THOUGH I HAD SET UP THE APPOINTMENT TWO DAYS PRIOR. They have lost my business completely.

Good service! Nice people there... give customers big help.I am new in town by myself.. dont know too many people here. My car over heat.. Because they have busy schedule, cant fix my car immediately. They tried to add some coolant to let me can temporary drive back home and come back couple days later, but after adding whole bottle they found it will damage to car if I drive without fixing. Therefore, suggested me dont drive. I am new in town.. cant find people give me ride back home in the night. In the night they dont have service for giving customer ride back home, but they make an exception for me. I really appreciated their consideration. Also they are very honest in business. Not like other auto shops because of I am a young woman suggest me do some unnecessary service. I am a mechanical engineer work for automotive manufacturers for several years I know if people fool me. So I love them a lot. And the service price is very reasonable.I would like to suggest them to people especially people who dont know much about cars structures. They are very honest shop. Very reliable!!

Really nice customer service, driving across the country and our engine light came on and they were able to fix it right away.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. we spent almost $2000 to figure out what was wrong with our van and get it fixed. After fixing wires and replacing the PCM the van went right back to what it was doing prior to them fixing it. Called them to see about getting it looked at and mike (assuming the owner) told us that unless its the PCM they would charge us to troubleshoot it and figure out whats wrong. After I started arguing that we would not be charged for something they should have fixed in the first place he had the audacity to say font cop an attitude with me

Website says they are open but they dont answer their phone and there is no one there.

Not professional at all they charge $100 just to look at your vehicle and will hide that from you until you go pick up your vehicle wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody

Worst towing experience weve ever had. The gentleman was rude and quoted us $50 less then what the bill actually was. And then had the odasity to say the person who gave us a quote is completely ficticious, and that no such thing happened. This company is a scam!
