Horrible, terrible, aweful. I used to use this sportsclips all the time. I recently came back to give them another chance. I was super friendly and nice and tried to make conversation. The stylist just ignored anything I said. I work in the hospitality industry so I know that you should have some level of a communicative relationship with your clients and make them feel welcomed. This lady did the opposite. My stylist pumped the chair all of the way up so hard I thought she wanted me to fall out of the chair. I let it slide. She slapped the clippers to the back of my head so aggressively that it felt like I was getting hit each time. She ripped my hair as she angrily pulled the blades away from my head. I kid you not, she shaved the back of my head so so fast that not even ten seconds later she was already slapping the new blade guard on. I wish I could say Im exaggerating when I tell you that this stylist wasnt just angry she was just straight hateful to me as a customer. She had just gotten back from the back area assuming from break and clearly didnt want to be there. Why not punch out and just leave? I stopped mid haircut and drove down the road with half of my head shaved just to go get a safe haircut.

Amy was a wonderful Stylist. Very upbeat and continually smiling. Her First Aid skills are top notch also. The MVP with shampoo and massage is worth the extra.

Level of service one would expect from a big chain place. Friendly staff .prices make it more of a rare treat than a frequent stop

Kristina did such a fantastic job cutting my hair and was a delight to chat with in the process. She was very detail focused, meticulous, and thorough. She listened to exactly what I wanted and it came out even better than I had hoped. Best haircut I’ve had in a while! I don’t drive into Tyler very often but the next time I do I’ll be sure to schedule it around getting another haircut from Kristina.

Always a pleased with the staff. Not to happy with the online check in. My name was next till someone checked in online and showed up five minutes before I was supposed to be called back. It forced me to wait another 20 minutes. They deserve 5 stars but cant give it because of the wait time. Next time Im checking in online.

My daughter wanted to go very badly. They were happy to accommodate. The cut was lovely and the cutter was very nice. All a wonderful experience except the other worker there selling me a $60 bottle of shampoo that was indeed a sham.

Brought my son yesterday and we are really upset about his hairstyle. we show her a picture what we wanted of hairstyle. when she saw the picture in just a second she said it was cool and never ask how long how short cut what we wanted. and started cutting my sons hair and it was way too short and way too far for the picture what we show her. my boy cried whe we got home. i dont reccomend this place. not worth it for the price. i got an extra bad day. stress and headache on this place.

I walked into the shop today Sunday, Sept 13th at 2:10. There were 3 stylists there. One looked up at me and then looked away. No “Good afternoon”, No “Welcome to Sports Clips”, no smile, not even a “sign in please and we’ll be right with you.” I wanted to give this place a try because I saw the person responding to the reviews is a Marine veteran, as I am. No one inside was smiling or seemed happy. Disappointed in the lack of common courtesy. I understand we all have off days (myself included) but if you can’t even greet me, you’re not getting my money.

It was all good. NILEE (Spelling?) Did a great job. I appreciate her patience as I was going from a long hair style to a #7 Clipper cut on the side abad finger cut on top. Thank you Nilee.

Rosie is the best stylist I’ve ever had. Picks up her scissors and knows what to do. Sometimes it might not be what I really want done, but it’s what she feels I need for the time. Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter, it’s always been awesome. Now she will do exactly what you ask. But if I say “I’m not sure, what do you think?” Then Rosie will take over, and I walk out with a super cut!!!!! The most compliments on my haircut are always when Rosie has done her natural talent - what she feels is best for me, what she knows I like, and my facial structure.

My wife and I recently moved to the Tyler area. I just received a haircut from Cheyanne. She was absolutely wonderful. I am so happy with my haircut and look forward to going back again. Cheyanne was very kind, caring, and friendly. I highly recommend her for a hair cut. I will be using this location going forward for my haircuts and asking for her. Keep up the great work!!!

So after the first boys haircut was too short and I said something she did it to the second son even after I said something very pisst and upset

I had been a client of Sport Clips for years. My stylist was Alex and because I really like the franchise itself and the online check in is very convenient I decided to keep going but after having my hair cut by almost every stylist there at the store on Broadway I decided to stop going because my hair just wont style how it did when Alex used to cut it. Its a shame Alex is no longer there he was always very friendly and respectful. From now on I will only use Sport clips for emergencies.

It’s a hit or miss, if you get an inexperienced stylist they mess up your hair.

They always do a great job cutting my hair here. It gets busy on weekends so I usually try to come in on a weekday and theres typically very little wait time. You can check in online, however I wish that I could schedule actual appointments online rather than just get put on the wait list. That would be much more convenient. All the sylists are friendly and easy to chat with.

The lady who cut my hair, I believe her name was Rosie, did a rush job. I gave a very detailed description of what I wanted. She did what she wanted. My cut was done in under 10 minutes. What was supposed to come out as a fade, turned out to be a choppy mess. In her defense, there were at least three walk-ins waiting in the lobby after me. Its possible she felt the pressure to attend to everyone. If speed is the number one thing you consider when getting a fresh cut, ask for Rosie. If instead youre looking for a quality cut that looks good, take your business elsewhere. I will not be back.

Ruined my sons hair! not coming back!!!

First off Ive been going here for almost 2 years, to ge a military style cut, For about $18. +tip Came in today 4/15/19 and it cost $29 without tip. For a high fade.I ask why so much? Rosie the stylist said because I ask if she could use the shaver. (skin close clippers) Apparently there is a $10. up charge to use, something about detailed hair. I was in and out in 10min, Like she was in a hurry. I come in about every 3 weeks this is the first time there has been a up charge. Rosie didnt bother to tell me there was a NEW CHARGE for using the shaver/clippers. Probably will not go back.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! NEVER GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE! I grew my hair out this year and had pretty long hair with the top being 3 1/2 to 4 inches and the sides 2 inches. Before I got my hair cut I showed the lady a picture of the exact hair cut I wanted. When I was done the top was 2 inches shorter than it was supposed to on the top and nearly shaved the sides of my head bald! And the sides were not even close to being even. WORST HAIRCUT I HAVE EVER GOTTEN! DONT COME WHATSOEVER!!

I’ve never had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes which is no big deal to me. The staff was friendly and the place was kept really clean. Not crazy on the the cost. I get a very basic cut though so I’m biased on that. Nice place!

Brandy messed up the edges around my husbands temples. One side is rounded and the other is pointed. While she is messing up his hair, she and her coworkers are all talking about how they hate their job and they don’t get paid enough and how their going to quit. Afterwards, my husband went back in to ask them to fix it and they treated him like he was a problem. They told him that “that’s just how your hair is”. What happened to customer service?

Took my teenage son here yesterday to get what was pictured and he came out looking like Lloyd from Dumb and dumber. Its just terrible

Worst haircut ever. Said I was trying to grow hair out and got a high-n-tight.

So far they lose a star for screaming child. I know it happens but it is unpleasant and I am grading them so -1 star. Also -1 star for having the customer enter info on kios. (Not ideal for older, elderly, and probably a deal breaker as far as continued patronage.) Appearances and cleanliness are acceptable. The hair stylists are working well together and seem to be honesty happy with their jobs.

Lady that was cutting my hair kept on coughing and had to eventually leave and then come back. She also smelled like someone lit a pack of cigarettes and put it in her pocket. And didn’t listen to what I said for my cut and did a horrible job of giving me a fade.

When u walk in its okay. First before I decided to go in I called first and asked if they did bald fades was told yes. Next day I went in when they opened signed in and they began with my haircut. Haircut was so fast that told myself done already. Had asked was this a bald fade but in my eyes it was not. Lastly asked her to completely bald my fade like skin was told it will be a little longer said its alright. Hair is higher on one side also I felt rushed. Unperfessional while getting haircut barber was looking at her watch. Like really I was not happy and will not go back again to any sports clips

Sarah is my stylist and I love her and her work! Shes always been nice and listened to my requests and takes the time to understand what I want and then takes the time to make sure she does it right. I used to work at one of the best Barber Shops in Dallas before I moved back to ETX and I always told people to stray away from general chains (like sports clips) but sarah has shown me that there is real talent in these places and has reminded me to give them a chance so I can give talent like her a chance. I will always be coming here for Sarah and I suggest everyone else do the same!

The staff are extremely friendly, and they are amazing at cutting your hair exactly as you want it. I definitely recommend this place.

Did a great job on my cut

Had a really great experience there with a great hair stylist they really take care of you with a hot towel and a massage and shampoo it was very quick in and out excellent atmosphere with the TVs and the sports on the TV. They didnt have free Wi-Fi. I was a little disappointed in that but not by much. I definitely suggest getting the MVP treatment is way worth the money. Im definitely going there again. I also really like the card that you get your stamp punched and you get a free haircut after so many cuts. They also have an excellent selection of hair products for men definitely try the tea tree 🌲 head lotion. I definitely would like to give a kudos to Rhonda my hair stylist she was funny professional courteous kind and she help me with my style of my beard and everybody loves it and it looks wonderful thank you very much Ronda I would definitely see you again. I guess the only thing its missing is a nice old school hot shave.

I absolutely enjoy this place for getting hair cuts. !!!!!!BUT BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!! I used a girl I didnt know by the name ROSSIE. I had to shave my head after growing my hair out for 5 months because she Did a horrible job. I dont want to get into detail but my side burns were trimmed 1/2 inch different she cut, trimmed and hacked in all the places I said not to after showing her a picture of exactly I wanted, such a disappointing hair cut. So be careful who you use make sure they can cut the style you like. Hope this is helpful, now the waiting game for my hair to grow back begins!

Every time I go here my hair gets butchered. Its not until I get home and really look in the mirror that I see random uneven cuts. Its not just one person, every different hair stylist seems to have about a weeks training or half pays attention to what they are doing. Stay away if you want a decent haircut.

The certified hair cutters, or whatever the f*** you call them wear heavy perfumes dont listen to you requirements and have no sense of creativity, common sense, vision, or empathy. Good luck getting a haircut that makes you look like you have any class. Cheap menscare places as such are an abomination to the general public and those who admire a man who looks well. I feel relaxed when getting my haircut at Sports Clips. I have received many compliments regarding my haircut.

Was in town and needed a trim. There was hardly any wait time and the staff was friendly. They listened to what I wanted and then did it. I do think its a little expensive for just a trim when they didnt have to do any actually cutting.
