Best gym in the Marine Corps. Fully equipped to train a squad or section with the strength-based lifts necessary for every Marine.

Overall the best gym the in Marine Corps! Different areas for Bodybuilding, Powerlifting, Crossfit, and functional fitness with new equipment from Rogue & American Barbell.

This is a fantastic gym, nice and clean. This gym however still doesn’t allow people to wear tank tops because of the chemicals in the cleaning solution. Just know that everyone is aware of harsh chemicals and just wants tank tops back. It’s getting hot let us wear the muscle shirts again.

In my opinion, best gym on a Marine Corps base! Even at its most crowded time, there seems to be some sort of rack available.

Wonderful place to do any workout. Enough machines so that you arent waiting for one to be open, flat area to do other exercises, many weights, and a lot more to try things out

Best gym on base. Everything you could want in a gym, they probably got it.

Great equipment but the hours during for COVID 19 are ridiculous. I don’t know a single person who can get a good workout in 50 minutes especially for people who like to lift. Gyms off the base have way better hours and no limits on how long you are “allowed” to work out for so I think I’m going to take my gym workouts elsewhere

The Best Gym aboard MCAGCC 29 Palms. Indoor turf is great. Many large fans over head long the walls keeps air circulating to reduce the stuffy feeling. 99% of all equipment is in good working condition. Staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Locker rooms are always clean and well stocked.

One of the best gyms for marines out of all the bases I’ve seen.Large turf, tons of squat racks, many ellipticals, gymnastic rings, and even a wrestling area. There’s a huge lack of mirrors which can be bothersome if you enjoy watching your form in a mirror. There’s no room to do ab workouts (typically there’s a side room of some kind). No fixed-weight barbells. And I haven’t seen any nice treadmills.

Well equipped, medium to large, very functional gym for military beneficiaries. Named after the late retired Sargent Major of the same name, who had been a popular and respected fixture on base for several years.

Good facility one thing I would add is a Sauna and make it 24hrs everyday of the week. It is really Inconvenient that the gym is not open 24hrs every day. Some people schedules only allow them to workout in the late evening.

This is the gym all Marine gyms wish they were. Probably 25+ squat racks, turf section for sprints/plyo, every machine you can think of. There could be over a hundred people working out and it still wouldnt be crowded

This is by far the best gym I have ever been in. Staff is great. The gym is always clean and they have everything you could ever need whether you are weightlifter, powerlifter, or crossfitter. The only drawback would be it gets crowded during high volume times like the end of the work day, but that is to be expected on a Marine Corps base.

Jo
Review №32

Its brand new and great. Still looks a little incomplete though. Hopefully in coming weeks theyll add vending machines with sport drinks like Gatorade and Muscle milk, as well as digital scales for the locker rooms, like the East and West Gyms have.
