I will forever and always recommend Stellar Performance to anyone who needs an auto repair. We had an appointment today at 10 and my husband was able to drop the car off and we knew it would be in good hands. Check engine light came on a couple of weeks ago with code P0531 (not sure if it was something else but that’s what our reader read) and Stellar was absolutely able to fix it. Being from a small town in Ohio and coming out here not knowing anything, I’m glad that we picked Stellar. We went to them for our tire a while back when no one else could fix it but they sure could. When that happened we just knew that we could go to them when we faced a big problem. Once they finished up with the car they even put the window shades on and filled our tires up with air!Excellent service. Always. Once my husbands Jeep gets shipped out here from Ohio we’ll for sure know where to take it. Thanks again guys for all the hard work, you’re amazing!!

The owner Mark is a very professional and honest mechanic. He supports military and doesn’t let them down, truly the best mechanic you’ll find in 29 forsure. He showed me what was wrong with the steering rack and let me go under the car in the bay to see everything. We had our Ford Explorer here to check on a stubborn engine idle issue. I initially approved a $110 estimate to diagnose the issue. The problem could not be replicated at the shop and much to my surprise, I was not charged at all for their time and efforts. In addition, the owner took his time to return me to home and pick me back up in the afternoon to retrieve our SUV. Honesty and integrity rank #1 in my book and Stellar Performance has excelled in earning my trust. Thank you very much Ernie and Mark, we appreciate your shop ethics.

They were able to get my Honda Odyssey in right away for a brake job. I found them very courteous, friendly and fast! The cost was right around what was quoted and for the first time in a very long time I didnt feel ripped off when I paid. Very honest and all around a great experience. Thanks!

I took my vehicle to this shop for a gas leak initially for repairs. After the shop fixed that issue and returned my car the engine light came on a few hours afterwards which I took my car to autozone and the scanner reported an O2 sensor issue ONLY. I took it back to the shop which they said the initial repair had nothing to do with this new problem which I paid an additional price to get that fix as well. When they fixed the O2 sensor problem and my vehicle was returned the engine light came on again only several hours later the same day which now says a “catalyst issue” which if it truly was an issue it would have been picked up by the scanner read from Autozone that second time. This shows that this shop has deliberately caused the vehicles to indicate repairs by their doing and actions to gain profit.Steven Suralie who posted earlier is posting on by behalf as he has witnessed the poor service from this far from “Stellar” shop.HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Best place in town. Ive been taking my Jeep here exclusively for the last 5 years. Im a little mad at myself for not reviewing this place sooner. The staff are all very professional, and the owner has pride in his business and respect for his customers. I wouldnt take my Jeep anywhere else. Stellar Performance Automotive is the place to go.

I called first thing in the morning about my air conditioner not being cold enough for this weather and was able to get in that day and it was done within a couple of hours! My car is nice and cold now! Very friendly and affordable! I will definitely bring my car there again!

Just needed my tires air adjusted.. No service actually needed as yet. They checked my tires and added air as needed without charging me nothing at all. Also gave me an estimate on a set of new tires which Ill need soon. Such friendly service. Ill be taking my van there when it needs servicing.

Weve had 3 cars fixed here and I recommended them to my fellow Marines and Retirees. Compared to all the others in our area Stellar Performance is one of two that I trust to do good, honest professional job. I have not been let down by them yet and on Friday Im turning my MANCRFT in to them for a brake job.

We had a quick question as we were driving out of Joshua Tree National Park going to the Grand Canyon. We didnt want to drive the 6 hours out there without getting the car looked at and this was recommended by other Google users.The gentleman that helped us didnt charge a dime for the diagnostic. He was very helpful, up front about the timing it would take for any repair/further inspection, and informative about our options.

Rude! Unprofessional! Outrageous prices!After my friends truck broke down he had it towed to Stellar Performance and immediately they threw an outrageous price in his face. $280 for a new battery and a diagnostic. We went to auto zone for a battery which was $140. My buddy asked the guy why the price was so steep for the diagnostic and he said because he was using a $6000 dollar piece of equipment and he had 30 years experience and then he said if my buddy wanted the code erased that was the price. I stepped in and told him i could erase the code with the $50 dollar scanner i bought at auto zone but that doesnt fix the truck it just erases the code and he replied if it was that easy you would have done it already and everyone would do it, and if you dont want it fixed my guys will help you push it out. So after going through all of this for about 20 minutes we call my insurance company to get it towed to my buddies house. Well now the truck starts and the mechanic comes over and says it needed the code erased and to sit for 5 minutes, I didnt read that far into it before. They charged my friend $108 dollars for about 30 minutes of speculation because the mechanic didnt read that far into it before. Stellar Performance is far from stellar, they are very rude and unprofessional and clearly overcharge for the work they are doing.

PEOPLE OF 29 PALMS,This is the place to go to. Ive been to every mechanic in town. The owner Mark makes you feel like he would not want to loose your business or your friendship. I had the worst scenario possible. Needed a new motor. They helped me in every way possible. Other places in town wanted to charge me to just remove the engine and tell me what was wrong for what Stellar Performance charged me to order and replace the entire engine. The owner called me often to give me updates on the progress. I will not give any other place my vehicles. Even after my car was done I found additional problems(probably broke before) and they fixed them with no charge. That sounds obvious but try and take your car to a shop here and tell the mechanic you found something broken after he worked on it and see what he says.

Excellent service! Mark is a great guy and also a great mechanic. We broke down 10 miles from 29 Palms and called him. He recommended an excellent towing service that brought us to his shop, and he took care of the problem quickly and had us back on the road within a few hours. I called the owner, Mark, with questions regarding a small issue with my 89 Chevy 350 and he didnt hesitate to take the time to give me some advice and a quote, and offered to have me come over so he could take a look in person for free. I did, and he spent about a half hour of his time listening to, riding in, and helping diagnose the problem and explaining how and what what I could do myself to fix it. Nice guy, knowledgable, and a genuine car enthusiast. 10/10

Just went in for an oil change on my truck because I didnt have my tools to do t at the time. I spoke with the owner and employees for a while there and could tell they knew their stuff. While they were doing the oil change they actually pointed out to me several discrepancies with my truck that I had never noticed and gave me some tips to fixing it myself! Probably saved me from snapping my serpentine belt on the highway. Being a mechanic as well I tell all my buddies who need work done that I cant do myself to check them out, prices are good, not the lowest, but you get what you pay for, right? Quality work for a decent price, every time I go there I learn something new about cars

Had a surgery where I can not drive but need others to drive my truck for me and coolant is disappearing. I live very close to the shop. Mark and his crew picked up my truck during surgery found the prob & returned truck same day no charge. Ive been using them for yrs and am very grateful for their services. Their warranty policy is real. I have had parts go bad and they replaced per warranty at no charge. Some times paying more, in my opinion, is better than worrying if the job is done right.

5 stars! My wife and i were in town celebrating our anniversary and our CR-V starting acting up in the park (Jashua National Park). We thought oh, oh? Lucky for us we found Mark! Mark run a computer check on it and found the problem, all within an hour. We were able to complete our trip and returned home without a hitch. You cant wrong with Mark and his troop. I was given a quote of $2500 to replace a clutch kit and flywheel. They quoted me $1500 in parts and $1000 for labor. They refused to source the parts from a local vendor like napa, autozone, etc and they also refused to let me bring in my own parts that I could order online. I spent $500 on parts and $600 on labor at another shop. Their quote was over double what it should have been.

Wouldnt even bother if you are on any kind of budget. I asked to just get a smoke machine hooked up and was automatically told, thatll cost 210 just to get you started cause you have more than an air leak. All I had was an air leak but they assumed it was more and charged outrageously for something that could be rigged from walmart foggers.
