Rick, his family, and the crew are great. They do very good work at fair prices and are great to work with. They have done a clutch replacement and a transmission replacement for me over the years and have always done great work. Great folks to know if you (or your students) have an older car in or near T-Town.

Spent $1600 on a used transmission for a 2003 Avalon to be replaced. The work done wasnt bad and the repair didnt take longer than a couple of weeks. One of the workers took around $50 in gold dollars, half dollars, and quarters from my center console. I feel like after spending nearly two grand on a car worth only that they would have taken enough money from me already!

I took my Mercedes S class to Ricks Quality Transmissions for a transmission fluid flush. Not every technician dares working on a Mercedes but Ricks did a great job! The owner and all the staff are so nice and hospitable. You would not be overcharged. Youll get what I am talking about if you take your car to AAMCO or other rivals in T-Town.

My experiences with this shop leads me to believe that they are fair and very honest with their customers. Three years ago I bought a 2008 Dodge Dakota with only 75,000 miles from one of the contracting companies located at the Mercedes factory in Vance. I was told that the truck needed a new transmission. The truck looked brand new and I got a great deal on the price, so I was okay with spending money to replace the transmission-even though I new it would be about $1500-$2500. A mechanic friend of mine recommended Ricks Quality Transmissions to me and said that his work (a used car dealership in town) sends all their cars that need major transmission repairs to Ricks. Trusting my friend, I towed the truck to Ricks Quality Transmission and told them I needed the trucks transmission replaced. I spoke with the owner (the man in the picture on this review page next to a lady) and he told me that they would change it and have it done in about 3-5 days. The next day the owner called me and said my truck was ready and the charge was $300. When I picked up my truck he explained that a pin of some kind had fallen out of one of the components inside the transmission and was causing the transmission to not work. They replaced the pin, did some adjustments, and replaced the fluids and filters. I was shocked! They could have easily lied to me and said they replaced the transmission and I would not know any difference, but they didnt-they chose instead to be honest and fair. I often feel like I am at the mercy of car repair shops and I just have to hope and trust that they are being honest and fair with me. It was so nice to personally experience the integrity of the people at Ricks Quality Transmissions Inc. Loyal customer for life!

Took my car to rick to get transmission rebuild and Paid him $3,000 and had to take it back to him to get it fix twice in the one year warranty period and now the warranty is up and guess what it’s leaking again I normally don’t leave reviews or bad mouth people but for the amount of money I spent this is ridiculous!Money wasted !!

I brought my F-150 in Friday morning and I got a call back a few hours later with an explanation of what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix. By Monday morning I was driving it again and my issue was resolved. I am fully satisfied with the clear and timely communication they provided and if anyone I know is having transmission problems I would feel totally confident recommending Ricks to them.

We were traveling through on our way back to Pensacola and we had car trouble so we called Ricks transmission and they towed us and fix us up all in one day. Everyone there was very professional and took good care of us I highly recommend them to everyone. The price was very reasonable and Fair!

The transmission cooler line broke on my daughters car. Had it towed to Ricks and they turned it around in less than 24 hours and at a very reasonable price. Everyone was very nice and courteous. I would definitely do business with them again.

These really are the good guys! The expensive transmission rebuild I got In Memphis was toast 200 miles later when I broke down in Tuscaloosa. Rick and his courteous capable staff did the job RIGHT. Highly recommended.

I brought my F150 to them in July of 2018 that wasn’t shifting into overdrive, they told me that it could be something simple but I insisted that if it was, to go ahead and overhaul the entire transmission because I run a small lawn service and I need my truck to be in tip top shape. They gave me a very reasonable estimate, I dropped it off on a Monday and had it back that Friday. And yes it needed to be overhauled anyway. They also added a shift kit to extend the life of me pulling a trailor all the time. The staff was very nice. They met me at the door when I first pulled up. Thanks Rick

I took my car to this place for a diagnostic check. I was told that I needed a conductor plate replaced in my transmission. I spent nearly $700 for this repair. Two weeks later my car started giving me the same problems as before. I took my car back for a recheck & I was told they couldnt find a problem. They sent my car to another shop that they are partnered with and was told the same thing, in which they kept my car for another week. The problem was still present so I decided to take my car to the Chrysler dealership to get a second opinion. Come to find out, my transmission was going bad in my car. I was also told that the part replaced had nothing to do with problem at hand. I believe the company just told me that the problem could not be found simply bc they were aware that they did not fix the problem in the first place and did not want to be held responsible for their actions. It was careless, unprofessional, and cost me nearly $700 loss simply bc they overlooked and misdiagnosed the problem. When dealing with mechanical issues, I recommend you just take your car to the dealership in which your model is affiliated. May cost, but at least youll be getting the work done properly by licensed professionals that back their services and accept accountability for screw ups.

My 2008 Altima Coupe transmission had went out! And Im SO glad that I decided to take it to Mr. Rick! I got a good, used low-mileage transmission that comes w/ a 6 month warranty. It only took him a week & a half to get the job done. My car is running like new again. He saved me about 600 bucks compared to what Nissian was going to charge! Thanks Mr. Rick!

Dont stop here if you arent a local. Broke down on the way home from vacation, guy was going to charge us double what we could get our truck fixed for at home. Charged us 90 bucks per day just to park the vehicle for a few days until towing arrangements could be made.
