It had been a long time since I’d used PT (2006-2008). I had an older rt angle dewalt drill that was slipping so I finally took it in. They looked it up while I was there and said “looks like we can still get parts”, so I paid the bench fee (~$35), a fair price and left it with them. A week or so later I get a call saying they can’t get the parts, so come pick it up or leave it. Mind you, it worked but just would slip probably 50% of time.I stopped by to pick it up and after a longish wait they bring out the drill in a box, completely taken apart. Okay, I get it, you have to tech the issue, but now it is on me to get it back together if I ever want to use it again? So I paid them after they say they can get parts, then say they can’t and I am left with a tool completely disassembled?When I used them before, I purchased tools as part of a large project for the DOD so had never used the tool repair side. I can say I will stick to doing self repairs as there was literally zero value add in this exchange. If that is how all tool repair shops operate, I guess I now know.Retail shop still looks good so still get some star value as supporting local shops is valuable in my opinion. Trying to be fair and objective in this review regardless of poor repair side experience. Very disappointed.UPDATE: I rec’d a voice mail from one of the owners offering to give money back. That is a very nice offer but it really doesn’t solve the issue in that I now have an unusable tool. I have added a star to the original 3 star as it was a nice gesture. For reference, I added a pic of what they gave back…keep in mind, it was a functioning tool (~50/50) when I dropped it off.

Have a circular saw that I couldn’t get the damaged blade off and took it to precision tool. The only place in town that would even look at. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. Their shop got right on the job and got the blade off in short order. Was able to purchase a great quality blade at a good price. Can’t say enough great things about this business.

SAVE YOUR SOUL AND SUPPORT SOME LONG TIME LOCALS WHO ARE THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE TUCSON! Woman ran, Tucson’s best tool shop. “THE TOOL LADIES” a local landmark. The Bad reviews written are non local haters with no knowledge of Tucson! We have went here for years and love Merry. They are what makes Tucson good and it seems that all these new people moving here are not that smart. Or, the one star reviews are trolls or their competitors. Either way, you need to know that Precision Tool is the best place in Tucson. A few more bucks gets you a better tools, great customer service, a good feeling from supporting a local business and most importantly a smile.

Everytime I go into their store I am always greeted and given the best customer service someone could ask for. Their pricing is very fair and they have a great variety of tools and accessories. They are the only shop I use to buy parts. I highly recommend them. If fact I am going over there today looking for husqvarna parts.

Above and beyond service and competitive prices. Ill be back.

This place is fantastic! The tool ladies are knowledgeable and up to date with new tools and trends. I have been going here for years. They have better tools than the big box stores and service them onsite, no messing around with shipping if there is a problem. Do yourself a favor and shop here if you need tools or fasteners.

This place is the best, they might have slightly higher prices but they more than make up for it in terms of no hassle repairs and customer service. I buy 90% of my tools through them because I know if I need a repair or a replacement they have my back.

My dad stopped in with an old tool, the staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to help him find what he was looking for. They sold him a new replacement tool and said they would call him if they found what he was looking for.

The front desk lady was really help to answer my questions and when she couldnt answer one of my question, she called the company and asked them and got me and an answer. Also thier price is cheaper comparing to other stores
