The staff were really great at reaching out and keeping us informed. We were in a completely different time zone, which often made communication tricky and varied, yet they handled it with professionalism. In addition, their patience and understanding in dealing with us as first time homebuyers was great. We were especially delighted to find a welcome gift from the Polder group when were able to finally arrive to our new home :).

Awful experience. Extremely unprofessional. Derrick never communicates. In fact, I never even spoke to him over the phone. He sent 2 emails to me total. You will only speak to his team. He never locked my loan in my loan and his team did not disclose that. After 3 months, he had his associate call me to tell me they cant do my loan. Never once was I told there was an issue until 2.5 months of waiting. I asked to speak to him personally multiple times and he never once called. My loan was not that hard either. I have an excellent credit score and the loan to value is 52%. I switched to Nick Tilley at Fairway Mortgage. My loan was locked in from day 1 and closed in 40 days. I heard personally from Nick every week. I spoke with Derricks colleague at Summit Funding in another state and he was embarrassed. He said he would never recommend Derrick again.

The Polder Group handled our home financing start to finish better than any funding source we have ever used. They kept in regular communication, set up video meetings to explain all the options, including scenario planning of our financing (different rates, down payment affects, etc). There were no surprises and no last minute dashes to get them information. Their portal for collecting information was user friendly and safe. The two staff members working with us Leah Variano and Shawn Levine, were professional and exhibited outstanding customer service. They responded to calls and emails promptly. We highly recommend this group if you are looking for home loans.

Excellent service from start to finish!! Derrick and his team of experts kept us fully apprised as to our refinance status from A to Z. We were assigned to Tony Trejo and Shawn Levine, and they were nothing short of magnificent. Buying several homes in the past was a breeze but a refi was a nightmare! Slow on communication and followup, forcing me to request updates every 5 days between any additional information that they missed, missed deadlines, unnecessary waiting when needs were communicated but overlooked, obvious slow to get docs to title and fund; covid Im sure complicated staffing but that cant be controlled. Reached the VP afer getting callbacks from other associates and no return calls until my long email of begging to close after it was pushed back weeks, reached him and got an apology that I was a disappointmented customer, had to wait an additional weekend, funding waiting an additional day. Now is the time to refi but your timeline could be stretched out and a bumpy process if a company doesnt anticipate the next steps, make sure nothing was missed and followup after waiting periods. A refi I did with another company this year was much smoother and shorter. Thought I was going to a place where I had a good relationship, things would be smooth so I wouldnt miss deadlines and maybe have a repeat customer discount. Nope. Lessons learned.

My experience was not a very smooth process. It may have been due to COVID 19 and people working unusual hours. My calls were often not returned and I was left without updates. It was the longest and most stressful month of my life. I am happy the process is over and we are in our new home. Again if it werent for this pandemic my experience may have been more positive. But I was very frustrated and uneasy.
