They did a great job at getting my clothes tailored and then dry cleaned. I also had a bunch of sports jerseys dry cleaned.

I brought a brand-new suit {which had never been worn yet} from Brothers Tailors in Phoenix {which for some reason they never tailored}. I had the ladies here at Mendels Wife do every custom measurement imaginable on me to make sure everything would be right. I paid their shocking price of approximately $118+, and waited a week for them to complete the project. Just this week I wore it for the first time, and was absolutely shocked as HELL that it looked absolutely pathetic on me due to not fitting correctly. All the measurements I paid them to do were completely wrong. I have absolutely no clue what I paid them to do, however, it was indeed a 100% waste of my money for nothing. A really good friend of mine previously warned me that he had a lot of experience bringing clothing to them, proving that the laides here are horrific amateurs who know absolutely nothing whatsoever about what they are doing. But I didnt believe it, and chose to give them a try. My suit is indeed rendered completely unwearable, and I will just donate it to Goodwill. The only way to get a suit that fits you 100% flawless, is if you order a custom suit from Mens Wearhouse. Those are the only people who know how to get you fitted perfectly in a suit. If you keep this in mind, you will never have a bad experience due to never having the need to visit Mendels Wife.

A few days ago, I took in two pairs of jeans and requested a rush job at the Mendel’s located on Broadway & Alvernon.I paid just under $34 to hem the two pair of jeans on the spot. They were ready for pick up in about 20 minutes which, at first, made me feel relieved! However, upon walking to my car I took a look at the hem job. I couldn’t believe how bad the hem job was. There was over-lapping and loose/skipped stitches on both pair of jeans. I immediately walked back and showed them. The seamstresss Margarita said she would re-do them— but I needed to give her more time. She requested I return at 4 o’clock. I said fine. That meant I was going to have to drive all the way home and and then return again!I arrived after 4 pm to give Margarita a little more extra time. At first glance the hemming of the jeans looked so much better. I even commented how much better they were from the first time.I proceed to drive East on Broadway and at the Craycroft stop light, I looked at the hems again and noticed they were full of little threads on the underside from when they were re-done. They hadn’t cleaned up the job. I previously worked for Mendel’s years back and I always made sure any loose threads or lint were always ALWAYS removed before I bagged up any garments.I then took at look at the outside of both the hem jobs and noticed that the stitching ON BOTH pair of jeans was not finished!!! There was unstitched gaps, larger on one pair than the other. Omg! I had to turn around and go back again! I couldn’t believe it!!!! I felt so frustrated!! How hard is it to properly hem two pairs of jeans?!?!?!Margarita, of course, already left for the day and I was asked to leave them and return the following day!! I said no! I cannot keep coming back because Margarita did a poor job both times. I told the counter help lady I was going to get ahold of the main person Heath at the Drachman/Stone office. The lady got ahold of Patty the district manager and I let her know what a bad job Margaret did on the jeans, not once but TWICE!!! The counter help lady text Patty a couple of pics of the hem, but I really wished I had taken a pic of the 1st hem job!! Patty said no one has ever complained about Margarita’s work. Well, not too many customers know about sewing and how it should be. I know about sewing because not only did I work for Mendel’s in the past, BUT I also sew at home and I really take A LOT pride in my own work!I only took the two pairs of jeans to Mendel’s because my machine was acting up and I thought I was going to pay for a “professional” job!I ended up getting all my money back but then had to go to another seamstress at closing time to re-do Margarita’s work.WHAT A WASTE OF MY GAS AND MY TIME!!
