My husband had always prepared our taxes. When he died in September, 2005 I was told by a friend that Cass Beals was an amazing CPA and would certainly take care of preparing my taxes for that year. Well, he did.....my husband was a teacher by profession, but had a small music business. It never occurred to me that this would require any attention in closing out the business, tax wise....I sent all of the forms, receipts, whatever to Cass. He called me one day, asked a few questions about the business.....like, was there any inventory....I said yes. He did whatever was required to close that out, and I realized a tax refund that was very welcome at the time. I wouldnt have known to do that.. Well, he has been my accountant ever since, through the forming of Beals, Caruana & Company, and me moving from Michigan to Chicago to Denver, Colorado. He and his colleagues are just exceptional....Along with being over the top, exceptional CPAs they are men of great character and high integrity. This is of utmost importance to me. I never worry about anything at tax time. I hand them ( well, now mail them ) all of the forms that come in the mail.....I dont have to think about Box A or Box B, or subtracting Line 140 from Line 136 B.....or whatever....They do it all. And then they tell me where to sign, and in a very timely manner, they send it to the IRS and then send me a copy, all neat and tidy in a beautiful folder....... That is such a blessing! Knowing that they are competent is such a plus, but knowing that they are men of good character and integrity is an added plus. My taxes are relatively simple, but I feel that I am treated with the same diligence and care as clients with greater issues than mine.Im sure this is a long review....if we were talking face to face, Im sure I would say more......complete with voice inflection, facial expressions and, perhaps, hands moving........If youre looking for CPAs that know their business and will hold you in the highest regard, Beals, Caruana is the place to go!
