Ive lived here for nearly 2 years and loved every second. You couldnt pick a better location to live than right here in downtown troy, close to all sort of cafes, restaurants, and shops. Also its right on the farmers market once everything goes back to normal but even until then the outdoor market is only a 5 minute walk down the street. As for the apartment itself, there are decent quality finishes and appliances. We heard very little noise from neighboring apartments and only minimal street noise from River Street. Management has always been super quick to respond to any issue and theyll work with you to solve even the smallest of problems. One parking space is included which was super convenient for one occupant. If you have a second occupant, they will have to figure out street parking or get a garage pass. Luckily street parking is super easy to find and the garage is free after 530pm so if you work a full time job (not from home) youll be fine.Overall I loved my time living here and would highly recommend to anyone looking to live in the area.
I lived here for a little less than a year & loved it! All the staff is super accommodating & responsive. Great location- farmers market, multiple grocery stores & gyms close by, endless places to eat in Troy & easy to get on the highway. I lived in a unit facing the street- it was lovely to hear the music at the market on Sunday. The street noise is something you get used to quickly. The winery downstairs is also a plus!
I have been at The Hudson for over 5 years and have had a great experience. All of the staff have been amazing from the start, from the initial apartment showing to ending my lease, everything has been smooth and easy. I can count the number of maintenance requests that I’ve had over the years on one hand, but when there was one, they were very responsive and fixed the issue right away. I liked The Hudson so much that when I was in need of a larger apartment, I moved down a few floors instead of finding a new building. The location is perfect for living in downtown Troy, everything is in walking distance. A huge plus is The Hudson’s parking lot, which can be hard to come by in Troy. Another bonus is lack of noise, one thing that friends would always comment on if they visited me is that you can’t hear any of the neighbors - at all (at least in the two apartments that I lived in). I honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about my time here.Everyone at The Hudson is extremely professional and friendly. From the annual holiday gifts to tenant wine nights, I’m going to miss being part of the community. I’ve also met some great people over the years in the building (tenants and staff) and in the area nearby the apartment. If you’re looking to move to Troy, definitely check out The Hudson.
Nice apartments that are well priced. The cost per square foot is definitely cheaper than many of the other apartments in the area. The floor plans are unique and the apartments are well maintained. Any issue that Ive called about has been rectified promptly and the staff checks for resident stickers in the parking lot on event days (ex: rocking on the river) which is great. I wish the apartment had more closet space or nicer laundry facilities, but these are things I can do without given the price.Pros: Parking, unique floorplans, large apartments, responsive managementCons: No AC, shared laundry space is often dirty, old windows
Management is absolutely amazing. They are always quick to respond to issues, give courtesy calls for things like parking lot plowing/moving your car, and even gifted their residents with wine from a local winery for the holiday season this year. Maintenance is also awesome. The staff resides in the building so they feel like a part of the community. All of our maintenance requests have been completed within 24 hours. Staff is also very trustworthy so there have been multiple times I have let them know they are welcome to let themselves into my apartment for maintenance even when I am at work. The building is cleaned every day of the week, so Ive never seen a cleanliness issue in the common areas. Appliances within the unit are great and in good condition. We love the hardwood flooring which is super easy to clean. We have a medium and small window in our living room and we get plenty of natural light facing the river. My only real complaint is that the corner and end units (like ours) seem to have a hard time staying warm in the winter; we had our pipes freeze a couple times but were thawed within hours, thanks to maintenance. I imagine this is due to the nature of the historic brown stone building. Rent per square foot can be high, but the floor plans are truly unique. I wish laundry was available in unit as opposed to a shared area, but I cant really complain about that since most apartment buildings share laundry space.I have already recommended this building to multiple grad school friends looking for housing for the coming year. Judge Development runs a great community; this building is perfect for grad students!
Clean and modern newly renovated apartments in an interesting building. Nice area, easy parking, and close to the Farmers Market. However, if youre in an apartment on the street side its extremely loud. There are regularly people yelling, big trucks, street sweepers, etc. and the windows are thin and provide little sound (or heat) insulation.
Somewhat dirty and unkempt. Cold atmosphere. High levels of mercury. But its pretty important for Troys economy so 2/5.
