The trainers are amazing! They find what works to motivate each athlete and then push to get the most out of each of us. No matter your fitness level, they work hard to make CrossFit available to everyone. New members are warmly met and feel like they belong.

Not pushing you to lift as heavy as biggest guy or run as fast as the best runner, but you bettering yourself. Classes offered at a variety of times to fit any schedule. Would highly recommend.

Stars and Stripes CrossFit has become my Home away from home. The Trainers are extremely nice and VERY knowledgeable. The way I was treated not only as a newbie to CrossFit but as an adaptive athlete 2 yrs ago was VERY welcoming and their willingness to adapt the WODs for someone in my position was unmatched. I would strongly recommend Stars and Stripes CrossFit for not only the person looking to try it but the advanced athlete as well.

Very welcoming gym! The coaches are very interested in your improvement and in you personally. I was there for two weeks, 5 days a week, and saw what a tight knit group they have there. I ended up needing a CrossFit gym closer to my ailing mother’s house so I switched after two weeks.

Have been coming to Stars and Stripes CrossFit (SSCF) for more than 2 years. I love the small classes and the personal attention you get when working out here. Coaches are good with explaining the workout and the techniques involved. The other best part is the community you gain when come here, everyone is happy to help and welcoming. Highly recommend the place.

This was my first time trying CrossFit. The regular price of any CrossFit Club is pricey ($150+/ month). I joined S&S using a Groupon coupon $70 for classes. It is basically 19 regular classes, and one Foundation Class.Let me list out Pros & Cons now.Pros:1. Adam and other guys who train/guide you in classes are very helpful. You might be attending the sessions with 6-7 other guys in the classes, who are seasonal CrossFit athletes, but you dont need to care about them and do your own thing. Its a judgement free zone.2. Timings are flexible (Mornings & Evenings).3. As I was looking for some motivation/push to get my workout started, Joining a CrossFit helped me, where you have trainers to push your limits.Cons:1. S&S dont have a water fountain. you need to buy a water bottle for a $1.2. They use Zen Planner App, it works ok, but for some reason, the classes I booked ( & later cancelled), does show up as Classes Booked and Attended in S&Ss system. Thats how I lost one class, without being attending. PLEASE FIX it.3. I think the female owner of this Gym (who is also one of the head trainer) has always been mean towards me on occasions. For example:When I ask her a Noob Question - Can I do this / or that, she would not say - No you cant do this because... . She would say If you do this, We would have to ask you to GO and NEVER COME BACK. She has said such things to me, atleast 3 times during my time at S&S (one month).I would still recommend you all to Starts & Stripes.PS: I stopped going to CrossFit, as I found a Gym close by. Now I mix CrossFit workouts with regular workouts (Hybrid).

Wow!! Where do I start, well I started in March 19?!!! 😏 I was looking to up my game mentally and physically. I hit the gym frequently, but Stars and Stripes is a lot more than just working out. I was anxious at first that I wouldnt get it, but the coaches started things slowly and before I knew it I was surprising myself!! New work-out partners became friends, and those friends turned into family.......they hold you accountable and are always there rooting you on to do your best!!! I also enjoy yoga at SSCF every Sunday, its a nice way to wind down and stretch those muscles out after a long week of working them out. I couldnt be happier w/my results and my decision to join Stars and Stripes Crossfit!!! Thank You Mo, Adam, Joe, Katie, John and Caroyln!!

Where to begin?I joined Stars & Stripes about 2 months ago now, and its been quite a journey. Coming to the gym I had zero Crossfit experience and was nervous about the unknowns involved in making the leap. As with many people, Crossfit seems like a whole new ball game when compared to traditional lifting. I dropped by one day after work and was lucky enough to meet Adam and talk about the gym and about Crossfit. This was a great gesture, that was not necessary, and really helped alleviate any of the anxieties I had. The next day I started at Stars and Stripes and havent looked back since. The gym is small enough to be personal, yet big enough to never feel cramped. The community at Stars & Stripes has far exceeded any of the other gyms that I have gone too. I really cant say enough about how great the people here are. The quality of the workouts have been great. Every workout, every day, every week I feel challenged and kept on my toes learning new things. The coaches and the community have been extensively helpful in my personal growth at the gym thus far and I cannot wait to see where some more time and dedication takes me. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone considering.

Adam, Melissa, and John are very knowledgeable trainers and always are quick to ensure you are doing the correct technique and movement. Stars & Stripes is a welcoming environment with a myriad of various workouts each day. Lastly, class sizes have a maximum of 10 people which allows you to get the proper attention and technique from one of the trainers.

Stopped by this box to drop in... didnt care if I had to do the class or if I could do my own thing. I was greeted by a female employee who I later found out was the head trainer. She asked how she could help me and I just asked if I could drop in. She was very quick to respond with well, no, we normally dont do that. We need you to call before you come in to a small gym like this. As I look around there is one gentleman that is utilizing the gym and that was it. Ive done crossfit for a reasonable amount of time and because I travel for work I am fortunate enough to get to try different boxes. I am also a veteran so the name definitely intrigued me. Unfortunately, the experience that I had here today did not exemplify what a typical crossfit community would represent nor would one that has stars and stripes in its name. Disappointing.

4 months ago, I made the leap into Crossfit. I was hesitant due to the public perception of what Crossfit is and if it would be right fore me. I had been a loyal member of LA Fitness, but over the years I began to feel worse. My cardio was not where it needed to be, but I did not have the motivation to run endlessly on the treadmill. My workouts began to suffer and the 90+ minutes I spent there began to be a waste. I gained weight and began to feel worse than I expected at 30 years old. Stiffness in my hips and lower back developed which made life a bit more difficult. This all led me to sign up for one month to see what Stars and Stripes was all about. Keeping my LA Fitness membership just in case. After one month I was hooked. Each day is unlike the last, workouts are ever changing and challenging. Adam, Melissa, Joe, and John give us individual attention in small group settings. This allows them to monitor our form, motivate us, and adjust workouts to fit all fitness levels. I feel like I did in my younger years, gaining strength and conditioning that I was lacking. Cardio is much easier when it is disguised within workouts like it would be if playing sports. I have reduced my pain and stiffness since Stars and Stripes gets my body moving in different ways that doesnt include sitting on a machine or weight bench. Losing a few pounds has been the cherry on top of it all.It would be a disservice if I did not comment on the community Stars and Stripes has. Everyone is a great teammate and pushes each other through days when many of us could have easily stayed home. They run many events like in house competitions, boot camp style workouts, run clubs, barbell club, etc.My only regret is that I had not found them sooner, it has been the best decision Ive made in my fitness journey. I encourage anyone to try it out and experience everything I have in my time at Stars and Stripes.

In short, I would recommend Stars and Stripes CrossFit to anyone. My experience with SSCF was honestly phenomenal. Their trainers are kind, intelligent, passionate, and well researched in their own fields of study. As a fitness professional myself, I can truly say that I frequently look back at my experience with SSCF as foundational to my success in the wellness world. If you are a novice exerciser, new to CrossFit, or perhaps looking for a new Avenue of exercise, here you will find help from staff that is supportive, patient, and experienced. If you are an experienced exerciser, an athlete, or a CrossFit veteran, here you will find help from staff that will push you to meet your goals, drive you to success, and inspire a strong and sturdy community. At Stars and Stripes CrossFit, they have something for everyone. I would recommend SSCF to friends, colleagues, clients, and even my own grandparents. The trainers collaboratively have a wealth of knowledge that is truly tremendous and exhaustive. I was a regular member at SSCF a couple of years ago and I’d personally still be a member today if I didn’t move out of the region. Give SSCF a shot, they have a wide array of membership types and will work seamlessly with you and your schedule. Get started today - you won’t regret it!

I have been a member for a year and I can say that discovering Stars and Stripes has been a life-changing experience. Never since elementary school have I enjoyed anything remotely athletic. Gym class and working out had felt like a negative experience most of my life because I felt like I didnt fit in, so any kind of exercise program I tried was a short-lived experience.Whats different about SSCF is the expertise, experience, and knowledge of the exemplary trainers, along with an abundantly supportive, yet challenging atmosphere and sense of community. Every workout planned is different and very challenging; it never gets boring and I never feel intimidated or lose any sense of motivation. I couldnt be more pleased with the results.

I bought a groupon and the only day to get tested for this place is a Wednesday evening which is a church evening for my husband and I. Then every other Saturday which we go down to Detroit to feed the homeless. So Im not even able to come work out here and they dont accommodate to new clients. Was disappointed because I really wanted to try this place since it was close to home. Have two stars because they did respond timely to my online request but youd think they dont need business if they only have one evening available to come get evaluated. Call and be sure your able to use the Groupon before purchasing.
