I havent been to that loc. in a while & definitely not this late before. I usually go around 4pm after work (just down 14 1/2 a mile). That being said Im there @ a busy time (not so much on Fri. as alot of people skip the gym on nice, summer especially, days... #nojudgement) & Ive never heard the Lunk Alarm. Here it is 8-9pm & I heard the alarm 3 times. Whats the point, to annoy everyone else in the gym... ? Once, ok... problem again, go address the client causing the problem... oh, your not sure who it was? THEN DONT RING THE BELL. What if an accident happens & something slams by accident... & let say a client hurts themself... sitting there on the bell makes sense? No, it doesnt. If theres 3 or 4 staff behind the counter, it kinda hard to justify anything.... ARENT YOU JUDGING, BY RINGING THE BELL... 😯ohhhhhh, got em

I enjoy working out at this location. The facility is very clean, nice staff and well maintained equipment. I would suggest that Safia (The lady who works midnight shift) be promoted to shift lead. She is super friendly and works extremely hard in cleaning and supporting the desk activities. If I was an owner of a gym, she would definitely be my manager. Keep up the great work!

The trainers are fantastic, each workout is unique, and everything can be tailored to meet the needs of every client. Love Curves and so glad I found it!

I have been going here on and off for the past year as someone else’s guest. This place is fairly clean and the equipment is in good shape. The employees are all friendly and they host a pizza night once a month to celebrate the accomplishments of its members. There’s tons of parking outside and in the surrounding area. The inside is big and spacious so you never feel like you are overwhelmed by the presence of others. Everyone’s respectful and customer service is on point. I wish there were windows all around to let natural light in. It’s kind of depressing having fluorescent lighting without some sunlight.

Overall clean and tidy place. Would be 5 stars.I used to like their training classes but they don’t have their trainer half the year for one or the other reason. They also don’t make it a priority to find replacement trainers if current trainer leaves.

Great place friendly staff and more than 2 of same machines

I like it here. Nice and clean staff is visible just in case you might need some assistance. I go here with my friend a few times a week. Ample parking only complaint is its not visible have to really look for it or you will pass it driving.

Coming here from the Novi location. Bigger gym, more equipment but a larger crowd. Polite and helpful staff. It works for me, would be nice to have mirrors in/near the stretching room for floor exercises. Great for the buck though. Satisfied overall!

This planet fitness always has such a good atmosphere: friendly staff, clean area, working equipment and ample paper towel and sanitizer; spread through out the campus. Would definitely recommend making this location your home location.

New to this gym but friendly staff, very clean, usually not too crowded, mindful and polite fellow gym goers, i highly enjoy going here and feel very comfortable as a newbie. A great assortment of machines to use.

I go to planted fitness on John r in Troy every morning Mia and Sofia are always there smiling and doing a good job moping wiping down all the machines and equipment bathroom is spotless good joba

Come and train here if you dont feel like wearing a face mask. These guys did an amazing job placing signs about wearing face masks, it is not enforced though. Come and display how creatively you can wear your face mask! You can wear it as a chin guard or as a necklace, it doesnt really matter, the staff is completely oblivious about the fact that you are required to wear it by law. What a joke.

With my membership l can visit multiple locations and glad covid practices are in place in all of them!

Man, planet fitness aint bad for a light, go to gym. This location has really good workers, but i feel that pizza Monday is gonna make me come back to lose it the next day😂. Try out a black card and do the hydro chairs. Those are easily worth it👍.

Good gym. Personally, I would prefer a few less treadmills, and a few more upper body machines. Also no scales here. Thats probably for some weird body image reason, but Id still prefer to be able to weigh myself

I really like this location. I bounce between here and West Bloomfield and they are by far the best locations that Ive been to. My only issue is that the Troy staff arent as friendly, but I come to work out, not socialize, so it is what it is.

Was watched by emloyees like I was stealing. I train hard I dont grunt. I was questioned about my workout log. I take notes when I train. I felt really uncomfortable.

Love this place..very clean and staff is always great..I would love to know whats the playlist in the tanning booth inlove with all the songs but cant seem to find them in shazam or spotify...all or says is apollo twins and title but cant find them. Can someone please help me?

Best gym for the price

Absolutely love this gym. For $20 u get EVERYTHING from private trainer, classes, free pizza first Mondays of the month. Massage chairs and Hydro massages plus tanning. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Very clean will continue to always go back.

Love this place...never too crowded when i go there. Staff is very friendly.

Claims to be judgement free but the entire company model judges those with real fitness goal. Nothing more than a glorified social club. No squat racks or benches for bench press. Better like the Smith Machine. Thats all you get for your big lifts.

Always nice staff

I love this planet fitness. It is so clean all the time and so far I havent seen any out of order equipment. Staff shows you around and explains things really well. Makes you feel welcome. No one is being loud or obnoxious. Really good atmosphere if your just getting into working out at a gym. I would recommend this gym to people.

Would give it a 5 star but too many people dont clean machines and i have to do it before and after...wasting my limited time.

Good Covid adjustments and policies in place.

Good gym for what you pay for but everybody ruins it for other people. Too packed good luck getting any free weights cause everybody will sit on there phone for hours before moving/leaving can never get a bench unless you go at 1am

If you basically want to exercise come up Planet Fitness will meet your needs. The Troy location has recently been renovated and is quite nice. Ive always had a good experience going there and their staff is been very helpful.

Plantnet fitness my first choice for Excellent work out and stress tension relief. Clean Sanitized weights adjusting equipment in top quality.Very reasonable prices for membership. A must try.

Clean and quieter than normal.

I used to go to the warren location and switched to the Troy one and it’s a total regret.Two words to describe the staff.. micro managers.. watching your every move if you go tanning at 6:05 pm one night you have to go at 6:05 pm the next time never before that. It’s just annoying. Definitely will be switching back.

Clean and organized properly social distant

This gym has everything I need at a very reasonable price. Very clean! Some staff person is always cleaning something here! Main complaint is the music is so loud I cant hear what Im trying to listen to on my headphones. Not everyone wants loud music, but there is no area or time of day you can avoid it.

This gym is absolutely incredible. Alex helps you find just you need to keep you challenging yourself. The staff, at all levels are friendly, polite, encouraging and supportive. You could not ask for better!

I am happy for what I pay for. Employees are nice, place is clean enough for how busy it is.Update: seems like the cleaning came to a complete stop. Showers are gross and the locker room has been forgotten. If this continues I will be seeking another gym.

I am disgusted by false allegations made by the so-called manager named Alexis. She had the audacity to call my cell phone & accuse me of things that I did not do! She didnt make any sense, she was criticizing me for voicing legitimate complaints. She does not deserve the title for manager her customer service is extremely poor! So Ive been a member there way before she had a job there, she will have to answer for why she unethically, contacted me the member on my cell phone & blatantly accused me of nonsense. Lady lets see how long you think this behavior will last you? A member has the right to voice their concern if things arent up to par with the establishment. I seriously doubt Planet Fitness Corporate would of appreciated you telling me I have no business to complain. Excuse me but because of members you have a job. My advice to you Alexis & planet fitness in troy-- John R when a customer/member tells you something, dont stare at them like there bothering you. You should not be a manager & I will go out of my way to make sure your unprofessional behavior is noted. I will tell all & anyone who listens to never visit that location again. How dare you call me & say those nasty lies. You & some of your staff are questionable. I never experienced this problem ever with management at this location in all the years, I was coming before. This tells me it has to be you!!!! You were reported you can bank on that.

I have been coming to this gym for at least seven years, the staff as of late at the Troy location really lack in customer service. Not all, but quite a few have terrible attitudes. The tanning beds/stand ups always seem to be malfunctioning, when reported to staff they look at you like you are crazy. We don’t pay the Black Card prices for this kind of treatment. The managers and assistant managers need to be retrained so they are better able to deliver the quality service that we deserve as customers. I have been to other Planet Fitness locations where we are treated with respect. Always remember, the impression you leave on people carries throughout and that’s how you lose business. Get it together Troy, your lackluster attitudes have got to go.

Great place, but... they really need to to start placing paper towel in the locker rooms (and that goes for every PF. The option for hand blowers is good and I get it, but having the option for paper towel is also required.And, I noticed the staff spends a lot of time dusting the machines, maybe a little less dusting and a little more time cleaning. I see it every single time Im at the gym, and its usually more than one person, not wiping down there machine when done. Among cleaning (not dusting), maybe the staff could say something to the users that dont seem to care about other people using the same machine after they have sweat all over it.And while on the subject, I see there are rules about people not wearing street close at the gym. Not only do I see street close being worn, Often! but they literally look like they live on the streets! maybe they do, maybe they dont, but why is nothing said to them!? I also see this all the time!I will say, the staff is very nice, and the place does seem to be taken well care of. Still my favorite gym of all time, but if management is looking to improve, well this is my 2 cents.

I love it here! My daughter and I started working out together recently and we always get a great workout and there is awesome staff!

The manager needs a good and proper punch in the face. If I were under 18, I would mop the floor with him. Unfortunately I am an adult. Off to LA Fitness it is.

Have been going to Planet Fitness in Troy for over 5 years now, almost exclusively during the early hours (1:00 - 5:00 a.m.). The club is always clean and welcoming. The faces at the front desk have changed a lot and sometimes very quickly over those 5 years, but they are always friendly and well-trained. The MVP award, however, must go to Shannon, who is a custodian/cleaner there. Whenever I go, she is always working conscientiously and diligently, and it seems like she has been there on almost every night when I have gone there for over the past year now. She cleans the locker rooms and the gym with the same dedication and attention to detail now as when I first met her a year ago there. Its rare to find employees who are so reliable and devoted in what are often the most thankless of positions. Great job, Shannon, and thanks to PF for being such a welcoming spot in the wee hours.

Ive been coming here for a little over a month and never felt uncomfortable but tonight it seemed as the one employee was judging me with someone who does not work there. I felt awkward and cut my workout short

It was a great gym, but I do miss my old friends that used to work at the front desk before Covid-19 happened. There was Alisha, JD, Kyran, Atiba, and Stephanie. It was a good time, and they were great people.

Just canceled my membership after receiving more than $50.00 in unexplained charges which were taken from my account. When I called to cancel I was given the run around. They initially would not cancel the membership and said someone had to call me back however, after several minutes of this, they finally agreed to cancel it.

I like the gym but the staff could definitely be more friendly. nobody on the staff looks like they want to be there the only person who really seemed nice was the person who helped me with my membership and all he kept saying was if you have any questions feel free to ask but everyone else there is hardly approachable, never smiling and they dont look at me when they are explaining something, overall the gym was clean and i like it. just seriously needs a staff upgrade..

The Guys at the Front Desk Have a Nasty Attitude Problem. The One Guy with The Accent has an Attitude Problem and so does the other two guys. I witnessed them Harass Two Young Gentlemen Last week while was Filling out Paperwork. One Of the guys was Showing some Bullying Type Behavior. Very Unprofessional. This is supposed to be the Judgment Free Zone it should Be an Attitude Adjustment zone

For $10 a month it is a great deal. Kind in mind there is a $40 annual fee that you are randomly charged throughout the year.

Staff is always very nice and helpful. Everything is very clean. I like that everything is not right on top of one another and you have room to move around. I like that if I dont want to workout by myself I can bring someone with me no hassle.

I had a bad experience with staff that was not great with communication skills. I would go with friends all the time and upon my last time, the manager rudely interrupted me to tell there policy, although, it did not apply to me because all of my friends but 1 were members with Planet Fitness. I felt like he was watching me for a week and failed to say anything. I am a very reasonable person and we had multiple encounters alone, yet he waited til I was around 10 others to inform me of this policy. This made me feel attacked. I hope that staff is better trained to talk with members and get to know them, before making false assumptions. I will NOT be back to any planet fitness anytime soon.

Clean facility. Empty like most gyms during December but the January rush hasnt slowed me down at all. Still able to access all the free weights and machines without a problem.

This place gets a bad reputation because of the media sometimes. I just joined and I love it. Always see the staff cleaning, and everyone is friendly. Go to Matt there, he helped me get set up and gave me a nice tour of the facility. And he is knowledgeable with the equipment.

Friendly staff, spotlessly clean, every piece of equipment works. To the guys there to workout, quit taking selfies of muscles you dont have, because youre to busy taking selfies rather than lifting.

This location is uncomfortably hot in the summer. Not sure if theyre trying to save money or what but I would never recommend that anyone go here in the summer or on hotter days. Aside from that, this location is a middle of the road Plant Fitness. Theres definitely worse locations but theres definitely better as well.Also, still curious how any Planet Fitness can claim theyre a judgement free zone when they have lunk alarms and the derogatory definition of what a lunk is posted up on their walls.

Ive been to my fair share of Planet Fitness locations and this one has to be the worst. Half of the staff is very nice and polite while the other half is very standoffish and seem miserable. The weights & weight machines are old and worn down. The tanning beds, while nice and in good condition, dont seem to tan very well compared to other Planet Fitness locations. The building is rather small and is always PACKED during peak hours (Monday - Thursday 5pm - 11pm).

Not always busy which I like, the womans locker room is always neat and clean. A leg machine was out of commission for a couple of weeks which is inconvenient but you can figure it out. Customers arent the meatiest of heads so that is nice but I do catch a lot of them NOT wiping machines down when they are done so I always make sure to wipe down before I use! Staff is friendly.

Good luck trying to cancel. They will continue to take your money even after you canceled. They also will loose your letter that you sent so they will canceled. They told me a regional manager would contact me in 3 days... Two weeks after I got a call. This place is a joke, keep your money and go to a better gym.

Im a new member to the Troy PF on Maple. I really liked the facility until today, my 4th visit. I took my son because he wanted to join. The manager TRENT was so rude to us that we left. TRENT had the audacity to say to me have a great days as I was walking out, then he said awww, now your mad!I cannot believe any business would allow this PUNK to talk to a new member the way he treated us today.I expect a call from the regional manager, as soon as they get one!! Im told PF has terrible luck getting employees. Hence, TRENT

Im visiting family from school and I have to flip flop between gyms and this is by far my most FAVORITE gym to come to when Im visiting I am always welcomed with great pretty smiles laughs and wonderful encouragement ! This facility is always super clean and always accommodating please do yourself a favor and come workout in Troy!!!

I come here because it is cheap. Ive asked staff about equipment and they have been completely clueless on how to use it. Recently this location got a lot of new equipment (it looks like a jungle gym) so I wanted to know more and the staff couldnt tell me anything about it. On top of this I have had men asking to pick me up which has made me uncomfortable (though I suppose this could happen at any gym. But really, why are you trying to talk to me when when I have weights in my hands and earbuds in my ears? Lets not even get into the kid I caught recording me. Angry, worst for last, on more than one occasion Ive gone to grab benches or adjust equipment and have gotten FRESH SNOT ON MY HANDS. I wanted to vomit. This place is disgusting, the staff are clueless. The only good part is the price which is why I wont leave. I dont know about other locations but this one is terrible.

Ive been to many PF locations. This one has fantastic equipment but poor management. The majority of the staff are in poor shape (good enough for me then why isnt it good enough for you). Also, they can be a bit rude and rarely step from behind the counter to clean. Aside from the occasional token tools that strut around with their cut shirts with 11 guns hanging out most if the patrons are very courteous.As for PF overall -Its a lot of value for just $20.00.

I love this location and ever since they changed their hours from 24/5 to 24/7 it is a lot less crowded during the day. The staff if super friendly and the equipment is great. The locker rooms are clean which is always a plus. I would give a 5 if they had WiFi, otherwise great establishment!
