Honestly such a wonderful experience and beautifulVenue for our event. The staff there is so attentive and there was a lot that went into the planning and they made sure it all turned out perfectly. I would recommend the San Marino club to anyone looking for a place for their next event - absolutely exceptional!

If I could rate my experience today a zero I would but the lowest I can rate is a one. Came in today to set the details for my brothers wedding. I’m not sure how it works in other cultures but when it comes to middle eastern cultures The grooms family pays for everything including the reception hall so the clients would not be the bride or her mother it would be the grooms mother and his family. When I tried to speak to whoever was helping us she kept telling me that I was not her client and that she only would talk to the bride. For someone that is getting paid from our side of the family our questions were the ones that mattered. I stepped outside to make a phone call while it was thunderstorm and I had my daughter with me she close the door and locked it. I have dealt with Saint Moreno for years and I’ve had multiple parties there for all of my siblings who been married before and never had we had this kind of experience or is this kind of attitude with any employee that has worked there. At the end of the day I just want to state that the bride does not pay you guys the grooms family and any Middle Eastern family will pay you guys so at the end of the day the grooms mother has to be informed of everything. So when somebody ask a question out of the groom side it should be answered and not told that you are not my client. The next day the lady called us and told us if we took down the review she would allow us to do whatever we want it.Yesterday was my brothers wedding and the food was horrible we paid extra for top shelf liquor and were served cheap liquor to top it off we had paid for 230 people and we’re lied two multiple times by different employees. One employee told us that all of the food had been thrown away the next employee told us that the food was donated to church and staff was fed. Now when we are calling to speak to the manager or Lisa who had set everything up for us no one is answering any of our calls I would not recommend my worst enemy have a wedding there to experience what we have experience.

If I could give the San Marino Club more than 5 stars, I would! It by far was one of the most wonderful places I have ever hosted an event. My daughters wedding shower was a huge success and I owe it to Lisa and Jaclynn, and their cook and staff for the excellent food and service. They were so terrific to work with and were extremely accommodating. A big thanks to everyone there that helped make it such a gorgeous and successful day for my daughter.

I recently photographed a wedding at the San Marino Club Troy and the grounds were beautiful! We were able to get a ton of great couples portraits outdoors, and the covered pavillion was perfect for a sparkler exit at the end of the night! Beautiful venue for a wedding - cant wait to come back!

One of my good friends got married last night. I recently got engaged and am looking for a hall to plan my wedding. San Marino was one I was looking at, but my experience was not good at ALL. I thought the food was awful, the service was not good. The liquor selection was not good. My friend had order the higher end package and being in the liquor store game for a long time. This was low to mid grade liquor, with not even one tequila option. It sucks for my friends wedding. The only good thing I could say about his wedding being there. Is that I am definitely am not thinking about having my own there anymore. Very disappointed.

I have the signed contract showing the upgrade was made!As well the photo attached to this review!Lisa, In fact knew my 9 year daughter that was with us that night was afraid of thunderstorms after my daughter stated out loud in the hall dance floor “ mom I’m afraid of thunderstorms after we all heard it down pour- had the nerve to push us out in the rain and lock the door!THATS HOW ANIMALS ARE TREATED.As far the food- no one asked for leftovers that was SERVED! That’s a LIE! We booked the San Marino Club for our 3/20/21 wedding a year ago before the worsening of the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result of the continuing pandemic, some of my elderly family members worried about attending my wedding. I reached out to Lisa and she made the transition to a new date (next year) seamless! She also had us come in during the fall to do food tasting! We are so appreciative of Lisa and the San Marino Club team! I would highly recommend this service to anyone in search of a venue for a special occasion. Lisa has replied to all of emails even while their hall and restaurant were closed! I feel so fortunate to have found a hall that is willing to offer us the very best customer service! Lisa and the San Marino club are the definition of professionalism and class! Thanks so much for making my day special before it even happened! I couldn’t have gotten through this without you!

Tried to contact them to get wedding information.After leaving a voicemail, it took them a few days before calling me back.The lady I spoke with said shed email me the package rates, but I never received the email.

My original wedding venue canceled on us 4 days before our wedding. San Marino ( especially Lisa and Rob, bless you!) Saved our wedding. They got everything we asked for done and prepared for us with 4 days notice! How Im not even sure but it happened.They saved our day and made it work with our previously arranged schedule despite their usual hours/ plans. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful, outdoor ceremony at the gazebo followed by wonderful staff and tasty food at our reception. I cannot express how much stress and anxiety I had before going to meet Lisa and Rob. After seeing the venue and seeing that they had already started setting up for my wedding and making arguments on less than 24 hours notice. I knew it would be perfect and it truly was, I could not have asked for better venue and coordinators. Thank you so very much for all you did for us!

Went for a wedding which was held out doors. The reception followed the room was nice and so was the service and the food.

Went here for a wedding. The food was good. The bartender was super quick. The staff was friendly and all where wearing mask and gloves.My one complaint the wait staff would touch all the dishes. For example when refilling the water glass they picked up each and ever glass to refill it. Thats one way to spread covid-19. The same person would take away dirty dishes and then bring the next course.Over all good experience. Would recommend.

I had my wedding here on 8.18.18. From the time we booked until our wedding day, I had a FANTASTIC experience! Brian was very available and answered my numerous questions, and everything we discussed was what we received on the wedding day! The price point was another great factor. It was one of the best prices I found for an incredibly gorgeous hall that had our guests talking! The food was incredible, and we got lots and lots of compliments on it! I wanted to take home leftovers but COMPLETELY forgot to ask! We had a great time and didnt have to worry about a thing because all terms and expectations were laid out and perfectly understandable. The ONLY complaint I have is of the waitstaff at the end of the evening. I understand you would like to go home as well, but the remainder of our cake was not edible because when my matron of honor asked for a to-go box, they shrugged at her. It would have been nice to have the remainder of our cake instead of having to throw it away, but thats literally my only complaint! Thank you for an incredible wedding, San Marino!

I recently got married here and can not say enough about the entire experience. Heather, Lisa and Ashley made planning easy and fun. The day of the service and food were outstanding. I would recommend San Marino to anyone looking for a venue for any event.

The staff was rude except for one server. The others need to work on their people skills. Food was nothing special. The tables where laid out way to close to each other.

My company held its holiday party here. The facility was very well maintained and the staff were exceptional. While in the buffet line, I mentioned to a colleague that I am pescatarian. A member of the staff heard me say this and informed me that my vegetarian main course would be provided at the table. As soon as I arrived back at my table, another staff member was there to deliver my lasagna. Good communication among staff and the foods were all surprisingly quite good.

I had been searching for halls for months for my wedding reception, comparing prices and talking with many people. From the moment I walked into San Marino and talked to Ron, the manager, I was set on having my wedding at San Marino Club. Ron was so kind and accommodating throughout the whole planning process, which was over a year long. I couldn’t have been happier with the way everything turned out! I truly recommend San Marino to anyone that is looking for amazing service and great food!

My cousin had his wedding here- absolutely breath taking from the staircase to the outside looking like a mini castle. Prettiest wedding Ive ever seen. Food was solid. Beautiful space- open bar on point .

I recently attended a wedding here and was extremely disappointed. I would highly recommend GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE for your wedding! This place is a joke- the service and food were awful, and they completely failed to do the things they were supposed to do pursuant to the contract. Here are some examples:-Chicken finger meals were purchased for the kids. I had 2 toddlers who didn’t want the buffet food (to be honest, none of the adults liked it either, but that’s a different issue). The servers failed to bring the meals to the kids and never even told us that they were an option. When we talked to the wedding couple later, we learned that the meals had been ordered, but we had no way of knowing that during the reception.-The couple informed me that there were two cakes brought to the hall- a chocolate sheet cake in the back and a white display cake. The hall was supposed to offer everyone a choice of cake. Not only did no one get a choice, lots of people didn’t get cake at all! Only the chocolate cake was served. The white cake was never served nor offered to anyone, and it suddenly “disappeared” and was not available for the couple to take home at the end of the night.-The bride’s parents specifically negotiated with the hall to take home the leftover food at the end of the night, to feed their extended family that had come to town. There was a lot of food left over at the end of the night, and the hall gave them almost nothing. We all saw food left at the end of the night that was not brought back out for the family.-The alcohol was bad and limited, despite an upgraded “premium” bar. The food was barely edible (so I’m not sure why the family even wanted it.) The service was slow.You can find plenty of other cheesy banquet halls with mediocre food in the Troy area, so at least look for one that won’t scam you. Now, whenever I get a wedding invitation, I’m going to desperately hope that it doesn’t say “San Marino Club.”

My brothers wedding and reception were here a week or two before Halloween. Sharing the space on the other side was a Halloween costume party for 50+ singles, so what Im saying is Id give this six stars if I could.

Reception Hall . Was well decorated in Christmas time when We were there.

I went here to view the location. I spoke with one person through email and they were so nice and when I called the person on the phone was an also very nice. When I arrived for my appointment. No one greeted me. My fiance and I waited for about 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged. When we were finally acknowledge it was a lady(that we watched sit at her desk and glare at us every few moments while we waited) and she was the wife of the owner. She seemed annoyed but asked us are you waiting for something. I said yes i spoke with you one the phone and she looked shocked....she rolled her eyes and told us to follow her. We went into her office and she immediately asked us if we were ready to put down a 500 dollar deposit. we told her that we made the appointment to view the location. She rolls her eyes again gets up and tells us to follow her. She refuses to cut on any of the lights so we can see the ballroom and the ballroom is extremely dirty from the night before. She tells us that we can go upstairs on our own but she isnt going....some service I tell ya! When we finished looking at everything we werent too impressed. We had really high hopes and expectations and they were totally ruined. We asked to speak to a manager not knowing it was her husband and he defended her saying that maybe she was having a bad day. I told him that even if she is....she is selling a venue to a potential couple. Her mood should not affect us in a negative way...We want to get married not a divorce. He then said that she is my wife and Im sure it was not so bad. We told him thank you and left. From looking at the website and pictures this location was everything I wanted but the nasty couple that run the place officially lost our business! I will have my wedding under a rock before I choose this place. Brides and grooms steer clear of these rude people. they are sure to ruin your big day if they are having a bad day according to the manager!

Attended a wedding here this past weekend - overall, had a good time at the wedding; however, a bad experience with the venue itself. It is much nicer on the outside than it is the inside - your typical average banquet hall. The brides parents had ordered a buffet and made a deal with the venue to take home the leftovers...which they never got. As for the quality of the food itself....well, lets just say I have served better food at a soup kitchen. There was also some mix up with the wedding cakes, one went missing and most of the guests never even got a piece. Between service, food and there not being anything really nice or special about the venue, I feel like this San Marino Clubs closest competition would be a VFW staffed by delinquent teenagers and shady businessmen.

Never had a bad meal here. Last time was for a wedding and reception. Danced like noone was watching. The scotch helped my dance moves.

Its a typical banquet hall. If you think about it they are essentially all the same. The food is all the same, the drinks are all the same, the music is all the same and is loud and sucks. Some places have better coffee than others. Not sure on the prices here because I didnt pay. But I had fun.

Going down hill fast! What a disappointment. Have been going here for the past 20 years and have watched the Club self implode. Management needs to get with the times. Quit appointing friends and buddys to be president and appoint someone to save the club before its to late.

I went to a wedding here for a coworker. I just found out that the place cheated them. They stole one of the cakes and didn’t give the kids their food. I thought the place was OK- the food was so-so and it was pretty basic looking inside. Giving 1 star because they cheat their clients and refuse to make things right. Even with all new management in 2019, they still don’t care to make things right or address their blunders. DO NOT BOOK HERE- YOU WILL GET CHEATED AND NOT GET WHAT THEY PROMISE YOU!
