Thorough and great mechanical knowledge from these guys. Been going there for years..........
Cliff is a rare mechanic in that he has excellent service for a very affordable price. Hes got the high end snap-on scanner and decades worth of experience servicing T1N sprinters for FedEx. If you own an 02-06 sprinter and need service, this is probably one of the best bets in New England. His hourly rate is low, he explains every detail of what he does to the vehicle, shows you parts hes removed, and he has a great sense of humor and great stories to tell. Rocko does great body work and also has a lot of experience and knowledge. If you need good service, dont hesitate at the garage or the location-- this guy knows what hes doing.
A great professional towing and repair service outfit. My wifes SUV broke down in a middle the street and it took them less a ten minute to show up. I had the vehicle towed to their garage and all the repairs were nicely done as quoted and the gentleman even gave me a break on my towing bill. Nice people to do business with. I am highly recommending. Thanks Kennedys Towing for helping me. 6 Stars
My fiance and I were picking up a Uhaul in Troy at 8:30pm on a Friday night when our car wouldnt start. I looked for a 24/7 mechanic and found Kennedys. They tow 24/7 but their shop isnt open on the weekends. But it doesnt matter. Im so happy I called them.Over the phone they gave me ideas as to what the issue was, they quickly came and picked up our car, and they were really communicative about the issues and forthcoming about what the service might cost. Every single person I spoke with was incredibly kind, empathetic, and professional. They told me they would call me first thing in the morning on Monday and they did. Ultimately, nothing was wrong with our car (there was loose wiring, if I understood correctly) and they ran some tests (for free) to come to this conclusion. This could not have been a better experience from start to finish. Highly recommend!!!
My elderly father came out of the store and car would not start. Clear electrical issue. Called Kennedy’s and they were professional and knowledgeable. Send a flatbed within :30 min.Too car and called me 3x with updates. Was bad battery. Replaced it, reset computers and we were good to go. They could have taken advantage but clearly did not.Good, knowledgeable service people. I would not hesitate to use again.
Great, quick service Clifford was AMAZING!
I had a flat tire 180 miles away from home. Was not able replace the tire myself because the log nut was stripped by a mechanic in Rhode Island. Fortunately when I called Kennedys just before closing, they came out to take the car to the shop to fix the wheel. Which they did. I am very happy with their services and I wanted to thank them to take care of my car so I could get back home. I highly recommend their services.
Very rude called about vehicle for sale and let me tell you if you want business you dont be rude over the phone theres ways to talk to people when someone is asking about something your selling never again will I call or use their services good luck to those who do
We had an incredibly good experience with the repair of our Dodge Sprinter Van engine. The owner/mechanic was very knowledgeable, honest, and professional. The repair involved the electrical system and the turbo system. $250 of this repair involved material costs for a battery and a pressure hose. This was an emergency repair with a 4:30pm arrival. The repairman read the codes, explained to us the damage, and proceeded to finish the job quickly and efficiently. We had driven the car with yellow warning lights from the southern Adirondacks at 40mph and we drove back that night with full power and at highway speeds. This was the only repairman capable of repairing this van short of the Mercedes dealership in Albany. I highly recommend that all Sprinter owners use this garage for swift and efficient repairs of their aging vans. We will likely be driving this van every six months from the Finger Lakes to Troy for maintenance. A good, trustworthy mechanic is hard to find. By the way, this mechanic is a FedEx trained retiree.
This place towed my car and someone their stol my $800 radar detector. When I told the guy that runs the place he said oh well not my problem. He sad its the same as parking it in the street and thats not the case because its a fenced in yard and private property with cameras and can not be trespassed on. They are 100% responsible for all the cars and the property that is left in it. He also wants $500 to get my car out. This place is scum
I have a really obscure, mid-90s car and the parts are ALWAYS special-order. The people at Kennedys go out of their way to help me, and they always do it for a reasonable price. Im grateful to have found a friendly, competent mechanic. I will definitely continue to bring my car here.
Went to buy tires for my vehicle and they told me they had the right ones in stock bought and paid for them and when I dropped my vehicle off they ended up charging me an more on top of what I already paid because they apparently weren’t the right tires. Not pleased with how unprofessional the service was.
Cliff and his folks are very nice people. He is an honest mechanic, something very hard to find these days. Sometimes he has charged me too little and Ive given him a good tip. He will find used parts whenever possible.
Liars and thieves@Kennedy we were told by both the responding officer and your driver that we were receiving a courtesy tow. Only after we advised staff that we had our own tow which would take our vehicle to the dealership did they mention that we owed you any money for a tow. We were not your customer. We were your victims. We have roadside assistance which we would have gladly used in place of your service. Your deception led to our misfortune.
A fair sprinter mechanic is hard to find. Honest too
I just want to give a big thank you to Cliff. I love the new tires you helped me pick out. Im looking forward to having future car maintenance done at a local business instead of paying a chain that doesnt see you as an actual person. I will be calling soon to make an appointment for an oil change and to get everything checked. Thank you.
My car was forced off the road during the recentfirst snowfall due to a careless driver in front of me on the road. I had hit the curb and a mailbox post on the opposite side of the road in an attempt to avoid a collision with the other vehicle (that left the scene before checking to see if I was OK). I needed to get the car towed because the front left tire was damaged and completely flat and I was afraid that it wouldnt be possible until the following day. Cliff called me back and told me he would get to it when he could but he had about 6 jobs to complete before he could get to my car. I have a keyless ignition and it was likely Id need to return when he was available which meant that I would have to walk back in the snow. I received a call about 2 hours later and the job was finished. He took care of it and said the car was safe at the garage. He was extremely kind and despite the fact that he was inundated with police calls he made time to take care of my stranded vehicle and he did it in a way that made it possible for me to stay home instead of going back out into the miserable weather. Something as simple as needing car towed can be stressful especially when its dark, snowy and cold and no one is close enough to help out. It is rare that I would take the time to write a review but I think Cliff deserves to be recognized for his efficiency, professional service and his effort to minimize any inconvenience. I am very thankful for the assistance and it looks like the car may only need a new tire which is pretty amazing considering the circumstances. I would recommend Kennedys to anyone without hesitation.
These guys go out of their way time and time again to help us out. Best place for reasonable price repair on sprinters. Half the cost of the dealership.
WISH THERE WAS SUCH A THING AS ZERO STARS. Most unprofessional company/people I have ever come in contact with. PREDATORY TOWING!!!!! They came into our apartment complex the day after Christmas and towed all vehicles to a church parking lot (30 seconds down the road from the apartments) and told us we could not take our vehicles unless we gave them $221.40 each in CASH (in the middle of a dark parking lot in freezing weather). The vehicles werent even at their towing/impound lot. They were very rude and nasty and tried telling me it was IN MY APARTMENT LEASE that they were allowed to tow my vehicle. I am not quite sure how they could ever know that, but it is actually NOT in my lease and what they did was beyond illegal. My boyfriend and I ended up going to an ATM and giving them $442.80 to surrender our vehicles to us. Our apartment complex is thankfully refunding everyone who was towed that night by these *pardon my language* scumbags. Please stay far away from this company!!!
Did a great job towing my car.Price was a little high
I parked on the street that had no parking because of street sweeping. I was towed by Kennedys. Although they only had to tow me 2 miles and store my car for 1 hour they charged me nearly $200.00. I thought that was somewhat high for a short distance tow. They informed me that was their standard fee. That equals $100 a mile. That didnt count the cost of the parking ticket which was only $50. Sure glad I wasnt further away or I might have had to take out a second morgage for the tow bill.
Services was good n efficient
My car died on the corner of Eagle St and Burdette Ave. The tow truck driver was friendly. He got me home ok and took my car to the garage. They were recommended to me by the Troy Police. Id use them again.
If I could give them zero stars I would.Awful company, extremely expensive, tried to make me wait to pay for storage so he could charge another day under the guise of dont pay on the phone, just come in tomorrow.Theres a difference between running a business and ripping people off. Its been less than a month since he fixed my tire, and I brought it back home to my usual mechanic for a normal checkup and it turns out he used the cheapest parts that have already worn down, and did a half assed job taking several weather covers off and not replacing them. The new tire he put on was of a different brand and was dissimilar from the other tires which screwed the alignment. If the cop didnt call this towing company I wouldnt have had to drop several G on my car for Kennedys to do a crap job, then pay a real mechanic to fix his mistakes. My mechanic is horrified. The day I was picking up my car I talked to some locals from troy and they said Oh god you went to Kennedys? He is going to screw you over and destroy your car I cant believe how right they were
Ridiculously unprofessional. Extremely poor customer service. Dont waste your time.Called with concerns and the manager talked loudly over me. Very rude.
Excellent team of professional, experienced techs. Great service.
No answer, no call back
We really valued the accommodating weekend towing, and quick repair!
GREAT SERVICE AT GOOD PRICE
Too busy to show up and tow illegally parked cars on private property!!! Rude on the phone. So, I guess they get paid to do nothing.
Garbage human beings. Charged 172 to tow my car one block.
My car was towed for parking on the day a street sweeper comes thru. Although they only had to tow my car 3 miles and store it less than 2 hours they charged $160.00. Very expensive and not too friendly.
Not in the best part of town!!
Efficient
