I’ve been with Elder Ford for more than ten years. I have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and caring, and they always keep me informed on the status of the job being done. It’s usually just an oil change, but it’s done promptly and cleanly. My car comes back with a nice wash too!
Herbie has been wonderful to work with. Minimal time is spent when trading in, signing & driving off the lot in my new vehicle. Herbie is fast & efficient. I will continue my loyalty to Elder Ford.
Me and my wife went to see Rocky at Elder Ford to purchase a certified used vehicle. We were not disappointed. Rocky went above and beyond to get us in the vehicle we wanted. He was 100 percent professional and a pleasure to do business with. Rocky and Gary did everything possible to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase. I hate that there arent appointments available, its first come first serve for everything. I also like that its first come first serve, but the wait times can get long. It is usually between 1 1/2 hours to 2, but I know it can get longer. The customer service reps are always great, even when Im upset about the time itll take because I dont want to wait forever on my only day off. I switched from another dealership to this dealership and Ill keep coming back as long as I get good customer service.
My 2010 Ford Fusion had 2 manufacturers recalls. I reached out to the service department. Frank D. researched the recalls and ordered the necessary parts. He scheduled an appointment at my convenience. I reached out to him just before my appointment and asked him to look into another small problem I was having with the car. He was ready for me at the scheduled time and resolved the problems in one day. He kept me in the loop each step of the way and arranged convenient payment and pick up.The only down side to the interaction was the discontinuation of the courtesy customer shuttle. I’d used this service a few times before and never imagined that it would have been terminated. It forced me to walk a fair distance across the Oakland Mall parking lots in dress shoes. As a result, I’m experiencing a fair amount of pain. PLEASE Elder Ford management, reinstate this valuable service.
The sales process went well. It takes a bit of time, but it is pleasant. Nicole was helpful and friendly! She returned my messages every time.
This review is for the service department. I requested two back-to-back appointments for The Works package through Google messenger and received a response within five minutes. It was very fast and easy to use. I dropped the first car off after hours.The first car was done by 7:45 am (that fast!!) and I received a text and voice mail from Bobby. I dropped off the second car by 8:30 am. For the second car, its 15+ years old, so it also needed a new serpent belt, air filter and tire valve stem, which I approved (~$200).Three things that made this a great experience. 1). I didnt have to pay in between vehicle service; I drove my first car home and waited for the second car to be done before paying for both. Ive owned two vehicles for 20+ years and always get them serviced at the same time and this was a nice convenience. 2). I didnt have to ask for my car to get washed. They went ahead and did it. Ive noticed in the last five years, you have to ask for the car wash and its no longer customary. 3). Real-time text updates and immediate responses from Bobby. He was very straightforward and easy to work with.

This service department is terrible. They’re great at trying to take your money for things you don’t need. You can only make service appointments on Saturdays, weekdays they need an hour and a half for an oil change. They couldn’t get my tires off to do a tire rotation, but wanted to sell me a new set of lug nuts. Not sure how they were going to put the new ones on if they couldn’t get the old ones off. I don’t know how people who work until 5 ever get any service done here. It’s always a battle going to this service department. Luckily I’ve had a great experience with the sales team and body shop at this location. They’re why I continue to go back. Service is a joke, be careful taking your vehicle here and be prepared to have to fix their mistakes because nobody in service can.
If you have Progressive Insurance and are expecting a loaner car for a recall (as scheduled), you better have a backup plan because they no longer accept Progressive Insurance for whatever reason. It would have been great to know this before I showed up first thing this morning. If I would have known this ahead of time I could have properly planned like maybe renting another car. My service advisor was trying to be helpful and said if I can wait a few hours, they should be able to get it done while I wait. Again, that may have worked if I knew this ahead of time because I would have either moved my schedule around or picked a completely different day when I was not so busy.I have been coming to this dealer for 3 years and I have never had an issue getting a loaner car as a Ford Premium Care member while being insured by Progressive the whole time so this must be a recent change in company policy.Service wise, they always do a great job and I have never had an issue with the service I have received here. I have 3 other Ford dealers closer to my house and I always came here because of the quality of service that I have received.

If I could give a 0 I would. My husband and I drove 30 miles to come to this dealership today. We spent 10 minutes walking around the parking lot looking at vehicles, pushing our littles in a stroller. We watched a salesman watch us from the window the entire time, but never came outside to see if wanted to buy. Yes its hot as hades out, and it is much cooler in your air conditioned office. Your salesperson obviously didnt want our business today. Thats fantastic customer service. NOT! Now, were gonna go spend it elsewhere.
So I called Elder Ford of Troy to make an appointment to test drive a full size, high or mid top, extended length cargo van. The sales representative assures me that they will have a vehicle ready at 3:00 p.m. I take time out of my day and when I get to Elder Ford, Im told, Sorry, we only have transit connects. We dont know when we will get any inventory so it would be best if you order the cargo van so that you can drive it. Not kidding, thats what the nice sales lady told me. I should place an order for a $55K vehicle so that I can drive it? Are you crazy? In what universe does someone buy a vehicle theyve never driven? After leaving the dealership, I tried to call the Sales Manager but was sent to voice mail. Elder Ford needs to do a better job of training their sales staff. I was very clear about exactly what vehicle I wanted to test drive - a full size cargo van, not a transit connect. Was I lied to just to get me in the door? Or is the sales staff incompetent? Either way, Elder Ford has lost a potential customer and I will never suggest my family or friends buy a vehicle from this dealership.
Have leased several vehicles from Elder Ford over the years - I find the entire process to be excellent. Im treated with respect, as my business with them is appreciated and leave feeling Im important to them - not just another sale. Anytime I have an issue or a question, its handled immediately. Ive had the same salesman over the years, Mr. Hoelzeman, who takes the time to easily explain everything and always finds the right vehicle for me. He is a pleasure to work with and will always come back to have him be my salesman. Thank you Elder Ford so much and will be back soon for my next vehicle.
Bait and switch. Spoke with two people, Johnny and Zack, over the phone who quoted the same price on a specific vehicle. I drove to Elder dealership and was told the vehicle was spoken for and the next available one was $12k higher. A manager came over told me he wouldnt honor the price despite phone records and text messages. Dont waste your time here. Theyre shady.
Two years ago, I bought my car from Gus and had a great experience at Elder Ford. Subsequent visits have been great too! Would recommend if youre in the market for a Ford!
Had my suv towed in and Bobby was great and so honest with me. The dealer who sold me the car more than likely switched out my engine and Bobby was soooo honest and didnt try to rip me off. He told me all my options. I would do business here again with out a doubt. More companies need guys like Bobby!! Thanks man and God bless you.
I have had my vehicle serviced at Elder Ford twice and each time the experience was seamless. Check in was done with information from the vehicle and even though they were busy, I was in and out in an hour. Keep in mind I did not have an appointment. Their customer service is excellent.

I was waiting to finish up my services here at the dealership but apparently that wont happen anytime soon. I have been waiting about a month for a part to come in for my car. I have tried contacting my service consultant several times and havent gotten any update on how long theyre predicting it to be. At first it was only a three day wait. Then it turned into a week. It has been about a month now and still nothing. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO THIS SERVICE CENTER, GO ANYWHERE ELSE. I have spent the last week trying to speak to management or a supervisor and no one has gotten back to me.Also no one is answering the 5023 number listed.

Awful. I made an appointment to purchase a vehicle. Upon arrival, theres no car and no salesperson. Then who was I contacting at their location? Worse yet, who was contacting me from their location ? So, I get the most lame excuse from these two salespeople....and They start showing me other vehicles way out of my price range. Was this some scam to get me there. An hour drive away......FOR NOTHING. !! JERKS.

Went there for service with Greg, had one of the worse experience ever with Ford. As I mention to him, I would have to wait for the car for the diagnose, he mention that the diagnose will be ready only on the next day. Probably staff need more training with time management and consideration for the customer. Ford really needs to find better dealer to partner with.

Sales associate was not honest about services provided with my lease. I was told that I would be provided with a loaner vehicle if any work needed to be done on my car. Now, not even 2 weeks after signing the lease, the AC is not working in my vehicle and they informed me that my insurance did not enable them to honor this. The dealer was aware of my insurance before signing the lease, and I am shocked that I will now have to arrange for a rental vehicle at my own expense any time my vehicle needs repairs or has a warranty recall for the years-long duration of my lease. I would not have signed the lease had I been made aware of this, so I am really disappointed that this information was withheld from me and that the dealer is not willing to make any accommodations
I arrived at the car lot nervous and unsettled. I was afraid of the rumors and reputation that single women have been profiled into when purchasing a vehicle alone. My Ford Focus was on its last leg and I had no time to wait for my brother & a friend, (a mechanic), schedules to become available for me. When I met Sam, at Elder Ford, we immediately connected with what I wanted. I was there 5 hrs because I wanted to make sure I weighed all my optionsi. I had no intention of driving my Ford Escape off the lot on that same day. When I met Sam, he gave me his undivided attention, professionalism, and concerns, and that is an understatement. I test drove 2 cars. Sam explained leasing and purchasing financials with me. I felt so good about my final transaction, I almost cried when he told me that I could drive my car home. I ask him if I could give him a hug. Sam even shocked me with a few perks of the car that I had not idea I was getting. Like, heated seats, etc. Sam knows his stuff ! He deserves a promotion if you ask me ! I am very very happy with my Ford Escape. Thank you Sam and the Financial Rep, forgot his name, for my purchasing experience alone as a single worman.

Very good service. They worked with my schedule and the service department had available appointments. All issues were repaired.Only issue was with replacing the rear sliding glass. Had glass replaced under warranty and it lasted 5 years. Needed to be replaced again. This is more of an issue with Ford than the dealership, but still cost me a thousand dollars to fix. I guess I may have to replace it again in 3-5 years
Took my hyondi here for a repair due to a reend collision. Had to get a censor replaced but they were unable to calibrat it disappointed that I went two n half weeks w no car and now I will have to take it somewhere else to get the job done

My experience with Elder Ford has been very bad from leasing brand new car and with the service department. I leased a Brand New F150 King Range 2021 4/5/2021 and drove it less than 500 miles I started getting a check engine and multiple noises in the car from the suspension system. The Elder Ford dealership treaded me with no respect and they wanted me to rent a car on my expense to fix my car. I am very shocked and very disappointed with this type of a service where I needed to pay for a rental care to fix my brand new lease F150 King Range. Ive escalated my case to Ford Motor Company customer service department satisfaction.As a result, I had to look out for myself and contacted different Ford Dealership on 4/29/2021 to fix my car. I was provided with a loaner car and my lease car is currently under review and investigation to get it fixed.

They took 5 days to replace two rear tires an alignment. Has anyone else ever been told by the dealer that they cant completely align their vehicle. Never offered additional services to figure out why. A minor parked car accident to the front fender is to blame. RIGHT I WAS BORN YESTERDAY. DONT TRUST THEM! DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY AT ALL. I WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER FORD

I brought in my 2020 Escape for a vibrating sunroof and a dent which was there when I purchased the car. When I got it back the sunroof was worse and the dent was missed. On the 2nd visit they finallyfixed the sunroof, but the dent was missed again. They said they fixed a recall for the back up camera while they had it. So after picking it up the dent was missed again AND my backup camera doesnt work!!!!! What a joke. They gave me the number to the dent guy and he is pretty miserable to talk to and Ill need to bring it in a 3rd time to fix the camera they fixed (it worked fine before they touched it). This makes it so hard to buy from a domestic dealer. Im going import next time...
Purchased a 2018 Ford Escape on Monday. Gus and Gary were both pretty straight forward and made the process easy. Gus was also nice enough to suggest insurance from one of his close friends. Which was a big help!

Elder Ford provided an easy way to schedule an appointments online. They were able to get me in within a few days of scheduling. They needed to do a lot of work on my vehicle but provided a loaner so I wasnt left without transportation while mine was in the shop. The staff members who assisted me were very friendly and professional. Especially Jacob, who kept me updated throughout the whole process. I will be back when my vehicle needs service again.

Totally incompetent. I drove 40 mins to see an SUV, and spoke with a woman RIGHT before I walked out the door to insure the vehicle was still available. I reiterated I was driving 40 mins...she triple checked. I pulled in and this cretin of a salesman tells me Ohhh it just sold. In 40 min. REALLY?! And then tries to hand me his card. I wouldnt buy a car from them if they were the last dealership in the world. I just cant believe the poor service and lack of communication. Avoid this place like it was an STD.

This dealership was recommended threw a friend who has nothing but positive things to say about Elder Ford, so... maybe they had an off day.Called about buying a ranger, i described what i was looking for and was told i had to be transferred, i then had to go over the requirements to Paula Stolhman. She told me that she would compile a list of inventory matching my needs, she asked for a phone number so i could get the list threw text, eleven minutes later, i recieved a message from Sam...Hello Shawn, my name is Sam K////, sales consultant here at Elder. I am going to be helping you out! Are you looking to lease or purchase? If lease, how many miles per year?I understand that she is not a sales person but its not good practice to tell someone that you will do something then pass them off to someone else with no information about what theyre seeking.
Highly disappointed with the service after purchasing a car through this dealer. My truck was having issues after only having a little over 700 miles on it. I took it to service 4 times and they said they couldnt find anything wrong with my truck. I took it over to a different dealer where i bought my other car from and eventhough I didnt buy the car through them they went through everything and discovered that there was infact a problem with the truck. I only went to Elder Ford because thats where I leased my previous vehicle and thought I had to go through them again and loyalty matters to me. Sales experience was ok but I will not be coming back to this dealer for either service or for a new vehicle. I was highly dissapointed. If I can give negative stars I would.
We brought our vehicle to Elder Ford of Troy for problems with the car alarm going off at inappropriate times (e.g., when unlocking the door, opening an unlocked door, starting the vehicle). They claimed to have fixed the problem. When I was picking up the vehicle from Elder, I heard some cars alarm going off from the back lot before they brought my vehicle out front. When my vehicle arrived in front of the dealership, they gave me my keys and reassured me the problem was fixed. At the time the car was unlocked, they told me I was all set to go, but I insisted we turn off the vehicle, lock the doors, and test if the alarm would stay quiet when I unlocked and started it. When we tested it the alarms went off -- the problem was not fixed. It was very frustrating, but what was worse is that instead of offering to look at it again, they claimed that I must have bumped some button on my remote. We tested a second time and the alarm stayed quiet. This was good, but the problem was always an intermittent one so no guarantee that the vehicle was truly fixed. We had the problem again the very next day and I called Elder to have them look at it again. Even though the vehicle was having the exact same problem for which we brought it in the first time, they wanted to charge a second diagnostic fee. We did not agree to pay them twice to diagnose a single problem they were unable to diagnose properly the first time. We took the vehicle elsewhere and it was fixed correctly. To make matters worse, they further broke our trust by recommending $125 of rear brake work on the basis of our brake pads having only a few millimeters of pad left. We took the vehicle to Automotive Authority to have a second opinion and they told us we had about 1/2 of the useful life of the rear brake pads left, same as the front pads, and that they absolutely didnt need to be changed.

My wife and I received the very best experience from Zaid Arabo! We first came in on a Saturday at closing (actually after by a few minutes!). Even though he was finishing up with another customer, he took a quick moment to tell us hed be helping us soon and to stick around. He took care of the other family and then took a moment to sit with us. We discussed what we were looking for and why. We came back late Monday night, due to our prior commitments and traffic, to give the prospect a test drive. Zaid made us feel welcome again and that he was ready to help our family. We worked out a great deal and signed papers on Thursday. It was the smoothest, easiest, and friendliest car buying experience weve ever had. Everyone loves our new truck and we cant wait to move onto our next adventure. I wont hesitate to contact him and Elder again when Im ready for another car soon. Thanks!
Buying a car from a dealership youd expect a certain level of respect from the salesperson. Its kind of a big purchase. Being greeted by a maskless salesman in a room with 6 other maskless salespeople while Im there with my 67 year old mother a year into a pandemic and A STATE MANDATE, is disrespectful. And to excuse your actions because you wear glasses? I also work in service, 55+ hours a week, and I wear a mask. Its uncomfortable. So the money I earned through this pandemic I worked harder for, more than any year. So Im definitely not going to spend that money where someone cant show my mother and I the same respect I show for my customers everyday for a $10 sandwich.

Total disappointment in service. I have given the car for service and they called me after service is done . When I went to pick the vehicle few of the issues were still not fixed . Service associate said they will look it again . I had my car got painted couple of days back and due to this there was a specific request from my side to avoid car wash after the service but I found my request was ignored

Bought a 2017 Ford Edge (the used car lot) from them in early May. The temperatures were on the cool side. Now that it is summer I realize the car’s A/C is completely shot! Would never buy from them again......buyer beware.

Elder Ford has amazing customer service with a friendly staff the minute we walked through the doors! We worked with car sales specialist Scott and he did everything he could to get to get us the best deal! I leased the 2020 Ford Explorer and could not be happier with all the functions it came with! I was looking for something spacious with a bigger trunk and the Explorer is just that! I was going back and forth between the explorer and potentially going to the dodge dealership to check out another suv and Scott compared and contrasted the 2 vehicles right there on the computer. He wasn’t just there to “SELL” me a car from his dealership he was there to satisfy my needs in a vehicle. After deciding on the Explorer, everything went very seamless and quick!
